Remote connection with dreamweaver

I tried sideground.com and gave up.
When ipower.com allow to Remote connect to database with dreamweaver....It was piece of cake....so easy and work well.
Now i'm looking for company who allow to Remote connect to database.
Please if anyone out there know the company allow the remote connection...

OK, Now I'm REALLY confused
I gave up on trying to connect Contribute to my website
through Dreamweaver. I figured I'd go back to Contribute and see if
I could get the connection directly from Contribute. Somehow, It
worked. I think I went to Edit > My Connections > Create...
> and entered my FTP information and it worked! I still cannot
connect through DW however.
So far, this has allowed me to continue with setting up this
site with Contribute. I'm still really confused as to what the
problem is with Dreamweaver and Contribute working together.
I'm going to go back and make sure that I can repeat whatever
I did to get it working. The only thing worse than not being able
to get something to work is stumbling upon the solution and not
knowing how you did it

Terminal: Stored Remote Connection with non-standard Port?

Hi,
I am new to MacOS and I am amazed by the integrated terminal. However, I sometimes need to connect to servers which use a non-standard SSH port, for example, 2020. I know that I can manually connect, but for convinience, I'd like to have a saved remote connection including the non-standard port. Is this possible somehow?

I did some experimentation, using Terminal.
Terminal -> New Remote Connection -> Service -> [+]
now enter your own new service which includes
/usr/bin/ssh -p 50022
I found I had to enter a bonjour entry to get it to accept my new service, but once I did, I was able to use that new service with the custom -p 50022 port value.
Your mileage may vary. I still prefer iTerm.

Remote connection with best performance?

I tried vnc and it was awfully slow, now I am trying nx, it is way better than vnc but still I am not really satisfied...do you know anything else that can be faster than nx remote connection right now? Or should I just hope splashtop releases a linux streamer?

I am using Oracle 11g as an Oracle database server. My client have to install[b] "ORACLE CLIENT" before using the product.
How we can use oracle database in the web? It is not possible or feasible to install oracle client in each and every workstation.
Please Help....

Remote Connecting with Forms v.6i

I have got Forms6i on my personal computer but not the Oracle database; my uni has Oracle 8i installed on their network. I was wondering if anyone knows if and how to connect to the remote database at my uni from my home PC using Forms6i? - what would you have to enter as the 'string' in the database field?

You need to add that database and its server (or IP address) to your tnsnames.ora file (look in your ORACLE_HOME).
Before that, check with the university's dba to find out if they have a firewall to prevent outside connections to the db (most likely they do).

It is possible. you can use jdbc drivers like that
of aveConnect which enables you to connect to access databases
without dsn. they provide a server component to be run
on the machine hosting the database, and the client driver component
can connect to that.. and access the Access database.
there may be other drivers but I have experience only with aveConnect,
u can do a search at the driver database of Sun or

I work for a company called Zyro Tech. I recently got all the staff a iMac to work with. We're looking for help or the knowledge to answer our question.
As all of our staff have iMac's we need a free/cheap piece of software of which we can remote in to support our Windows based clients. Does anyone know of sort?

Jconsole - remote connection thru ssh-tunnel

I need to start jconsole on my windows-box and connect to a remote tomcat-server thru an ssh-tunnel.
I have walked thru various posts and blogs, but finally couldn't get it running.
On the linux-server, I have set the following JAVA_OPTS:
export JAVA_OPTS='-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=8888 -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false -Djava.rmi.server.useLocalHostname=true -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false -Djava.rmi.server.hostname=myserver'myserver is the server-name that is resolved by the hostname-command. I also tried using localhost instead.
On the client I run the following ssh-command to create the tunnel:
ssh tomcat@myserver -L8888:myserver:8888 -N -vWhen I try to create a remote connection with jconsole using localhost:8888, I see the following output by ssh:
debug1: Connection to port 8888 forwarding to myserver port 8888 requested.

Furthermore, it seems that the ssh-tunnel has been establised.
Why the hell, jconsole still can't connect?

Hiya.
JMX connections use two ports. You need the RMI Registry and the RMI Stub. This first one you bound to port 8888, but the other one is probably still bound to a random port. You need to be able to access that one through SSH as well.

BC connection to dreamweaver

I downloaded the BC app to connect with Dreamweaver and everything was working fine, but now all of a sudden it's not. I'm using the creative cloud system and everything is updated.
Plus, what the heck is going on with Live Chat support? I see the link, click on it. It wants me to log into my site. I do. It takes me back the the help support and the button for Live Chat. I click it. It tells me AGAIN to log into my site. I already did. It's just a freaking loop that goes no where. Where in the world do they post their Live Chat Support Hours? Are they open on the Weekend?
This Live Chat Support is great when it works. But you think they would think through their user experiences which SUCKS!!

Have you managed to find any help ?? this is over a month old and nothing !! I am having a similar problem and need it fixed today I can`t wait a month for no reply.

SQL Server Express Remote Connection is an Official Function or Not

There are lots of guide on internet about this topic or in the forum.
And I have already tested SQL Server 2008 R2 Express Remote Connection successfully, for usage of an application server.
But I am not sure about this function is Ok or not for production environment, as someone said Remote Connection with SQL Express is not an official function and not supported by Microsoft. Is it true?
Is there some white paper or official function spec about SQL Express to clarify it?

Sure it's an official function of the SQL Server Express Edition.
By default it's only disabled by security reasons, because in common the Express Edition is used for smaller applications running on one machine.

Can't Connect to Remote Server with DW CS6?

In the last couple of days I'm having trouble connecting to my website host server (IPower) via Dreamweaver CS6.
I've been using this program and setup for several years but this weekend it takes 4 times longer to try and connect and ends up cancelling the operation usually.
Sometimes it connects for a few seconds then I get an error message: "the connection to the remote host has been lost."
Just wondering if this issue is Hughes ISP related. I tried disabling web acceleration with the same result. All other web and email operations are working fine.
A colleague with cable internet connects to my host with Dreamweaver with no problems.

It could also be a local hardware issue.
I had a wireless router that went belly up once in a very odd manner. I could connect and see the files on my FTP server, but uploads wouldn't work. I connected the computer directly to the modem, bypassing the router all together, and everything worked fine.
It's something to check before you call your ISP and start sending them off on a possible wild goose chase.

Problems connecting to remote host via DreamWeaver's FTP

I am having problems connecting to my remote host through DreamWeaver. I can connect via File Zilla Client and could connect before my hard drive crashed. Now w/new hard drive, I recieve an error msg. I tried to create a new site, which connets when I test the connection, but when I go to view the files, a dialog box appears saying "cannont get remote folder info, access denied, etc) I tried selecting different settings and combinats of the following settings:Use firewall, secure ftp, passive ftp. Not sure what else to try at this point. I have WIN XP, Adobe Creative Suite CS3. I would appreciate any help, thanks!

Sigh, it worked for a few days then started acting up again...would connect every other time, now not at all. FileZilla can't connect now either. I have not changed any of the settings - I just get a msg about a "critical error, unable to connect" in FileZilla and an "an ftp error occured, cannot make connection to host. your login or password is incorrect. please check the info and try again" msg in DreamWeaver. I have rebooted my pc, double & triple checked the spelling of my host name, login, and password. The only thing I've done is downloaded a plug-in for Photoshop to covert an image to a .ico. Unless going back and forth b/t DreamWeaver's ftp and FileZilla's would mess it up. I also tried using the alt. host with no success. I can, however, still connect using Yahoo's Web Hosting client....I don't know, sorry to keep bothering you, just very frusterated right now. Been messing with it for two days now....

Using a remote desktop connection with the Macbook pro.

I use the remote desktop connection on the Macbook pro and am unable to exchange info between the mac and the remote connetion windows. For example, if I am writing an email from the remote connection and want to attach a document, photo etc. that I created on the Mac, it just doesn't work. It seems like the Mac and the desktop connection are completely seperated eventhough they are both on the screen in front of me. the systems I use for work are not Apple compatible and will not work on anything other than windows explorer and in my case the remote desk top connection. Any ideas!
