Remote control cool solution like zen browser

Anybody know if there is a program similar to Zenwsbrowser for ZCM. Loved
that tool? I gave it to several help desk people to use.

I do not believe there is such a tool at this point.

• Remote Control and MediaSourc

I hava an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro. I formated my HD last night and reinstalled XP. I then installed the new drivers and Media Source 5 and new DTS Neo plugin. But when I tried to install the old Remote Control plugin, it didn't work, it said I don't have a new Media Source. I couldn't find a new version of the plugin (compatible with media source 5), so, how am I supposed to make remote control work?ThxClaudio Lima">[email protected]?

It is a known issue that the remote does not work in MediaSource 5.
See this thread....

You only alternati'ves are to:
. Go back to MediaSource 3.
2. Find alternati've Remote control software solutions that work regardless of the version of MediaSource. There are many alternati'ves if you search these forums.
Hope that helps!

I have ? friend who had bought this new ZEN in version 4 gb but an older firmware and?his remote is OK on it !How? I can solve my problem and where I can find the older firmware for my version ?Thanks for answer

I am diagnose the problem, it's due to the new firmware so if Creative read this, can you put the remote control compatibility in new firmware? !!
how did you diagnose the problem? unless you have 2 identical zen player. one with latest firmware and another with older firmware to actually test it to confirm it's the firmware problem. I'm still incline to believe either your player is faulty or the remote is faulty and the problem is not due to the player firmware.

• Zen Remote Control Options

I don't know if I am missing something or how I would make this happen.
We just deployed 300 ZenAgents to our corporate office, everything works
great but now - is there a tool I give my HelpDesk staff to be able and
remote to user pc's without giving them access to ConsoleOne?
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Works ok for us only trouble was when i made a zenapp with some of the
switches enable i couldn't stop them from using arrow key to walk up the
tree to other branches. I wanted to lock them into thier own branch to
manage, i have listed my ini file.. First time in make sure you answer the
three items on top.. tree, Inventory type and remote agent should be DS..

AGENT_PASSWORD=npgb
# PASSWORD / DS
AUTHENTICATION_MODE=DS

• What is a Secure remote Control solution for ipadv3  to osx 10.8?

I have a desktop and a laptop that I need to control via remote using my iPad 3. I am an administrator of a small network and it is against co policy to use vnc as my MacBook opens up with my access when I control it via vnc/apple desktop sharing. I need a more secure rdp like solution. I cannot use any external solutions like log me in, go to my PC... or the like. re: Against co policy.
I opened two tickets and asked one simple question. Can apple confirm that no apple so has a secure remote access feature built in? With confirmation I can justify having to purchase or develop a solution. They would not admit it.
Rdp is mediocre and somewhat secure. What is the issue for apple to use it for their so?
How about Remote Desktop via a sash tunnel and lock the desktop?
Does anyone have a simple cheap or free solution?

Well the old VPN Client was the ONLY IPsec remote access VPN client that Cisco offered. So they wouldn't need to say "we recommend this one vs. that one" would they?
Any migration needs to take into account new features and potential issues with the new client software. So you would need to confirm your VPN head end type, version, licensing, etc. Decide whether you want to use IKEv2 or sSL transport. Decide how you want to deploy the client software. Decide whether you want to make any changes to the features deployed given the expanded range of capabilities offered by AnyConnect, etc.
Hope this helps. Please rate helpful posts.

• I there, my question is quite simple, I would like to know if the "apple remote control" can be used with a mac mini and , if so, it can be used to control also the "logic pro" functions (e.g. record, start, stop etc). Thks a lot, Danilo

• Zen Micro Wired Remote Control Prob

Anybody having problems with their supplied zen micro wired remote control?
Mine seems to be having a connection problem with the player, slight movements will cause breakages in the music, left earphones will cease playing out.
Seems that some people are having problems with zen micro's earphone jacks, however, using the supplied the earphones(minus the wired remote control) works well.

hmm, I had same problem with 2 days- was definetly a loose connection in the wiring of the remote plug, as has been no problem with other headpohnes, and is not the 'heasdphone jack' issue (yet! thank god!)
took 3 weeks to get replacement remote from creative (only returned remote, not Zen, luckily) have not really messed around with the replacement yet, but looks ok.... am really hoping so cos it is really useful for going mountain biking with the zen nice & secure in my backpack....

• Zen Touch optional wired remote control to play FM radio how do I get it? or can it work without

One of the reasons why i am thinking of buying a zen touch is becuase it has a FM radio built in. From the website it says you need an optional wired remote control to listen to the radio, where can i get one in the uk? or can it work without it's

The Zen Touch doesn't have a radio built-in. You'd need this:

The Zen Micro does have an FM tuner built-in.

• Would like to see remote control apps, please.

Would really like to see Logmein (Ignition) or Teamviewer remote control app!!
I have left feedback with Logmein and Teamviewer Sales and Support to contact HP.
Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)

just setup logmein on my windows 7 and connected from my touchpad via www.logmein.com seems to work except for the typical problem of webos intercepting taps and drags thinking I want to zoom or scroll the screen image rather than pass the tap/drag to the website why not provide option where the taps, zooms and drags are passed through when button down? also downloaded VNC CLIENT from catalog but not tried yet.... Any experience anyone?

• Hi! I would like to remote control my iPad from my Windows PC. Is that possible?

Hi! I would like to remote control my iPad (my sister has borrowed it and is in another city!) from my Windows PC OR from another iPad I use at home.
Is that possible?

TeamViewer allows you to control a PC or Mac from an iPad, not to control an iPad from another device. You can, as I said, push settings, do some reporting, transfer documents, and some other administration functions:
http://www.teamviewer.com/en/products/mobile-device-support.aspx
but again, remote control of an iOS device is not possible.
Regards.

• I have the portable BOSE sound dock and after updating my ipod to ios7 the remote control of the dock only works for the volume but doesnt work for skipping songs....Is there a solution to this?

I have the portable BOSE sound dock and after updating my ipod to ios7 the remote control of the dock only works for the volume but doesnt work for skipping songs....Is there a solution to this?

Have you went to Bose"s support site?
Sometimes this works
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
However, sometimes an iOS update breaks compatibility and you will have to wait for an firmware update for the Bose or an iOS update.

• How to I enable IR on Mac with Mountain Lion.  Would like to use remote control

How to I enable IR on Mac with Mountain Lion.  Would like to use remote control to flip slides on powerpoint.

• IMac is acting like it is remotely controlled

I have an IMac that is acting as if it is remotely controlled. The mouse will randomly click on and open things in the dock. Any ideas???

If you look in System Preferences (found under the Apple menu) and select the Sharing tab, are any of the following checked?
Screen Sharing
Remote Login
Remote Management
Best of luck.

• The remote controls stopped working

I bought with an official Apple dealer the new i Pod Shuffle (generation 3) to use during my bike rides. After the first ride the remote controls stopped working and the voice over feature spontaneously started repeating the songs title. As well the volume control stopped working altogether. I didn't have time to return the Shuffle after only a week so I disable the voice over feature and keep on using my Shuffle with no volume adjustment, fast forward etc ….
After a visit to the Apple website I saw that several owners complained about this problem and assumed Apple would know about it and be ready to offer a fast solution. So picked an official Service Center as close as possible from my location.
First shock the Service Center was dirty, the paint obviously several decades old and faded, the light kept to the minimum.
Second shock not Tech on duty to check something as simple as a headsets. I realized there was no way to have a fast resolution to my problem. The Shuffle will be send to a regional repair center, I could have save the trip and just go to an Apple dealer. What the use to have Service Centers if they don't provide service?
Now when a product is returned, after 25 days of ownership (can't say use), a product designed by a company with the reputation of Apple you expect some kind of sign that the company is sorry, stands behind it's product and will do all possible to solve the problem. WRONG.
Third shock. The person who took my Shuffle obviously never saw a Shuffle generation 3 before or even knew it existed. She explained over and over that I may (but it sounded more like I will) be charge for the repair. Even asked me to pay upfront a basic fee to cover the time of a Tech checking on the product. And that the Tech will give me a quote if I am to be charged. Furthermore She found tons of reasons why eventually I would be charged to repair the product, however no technical person ever checked on the product. Well I guess only users read messages on Apple website not employees of Apple.
So what now? I am suppose to receive an E-mail in 24 hours to 5 working days, in which I'll be explained the result of the Tech investigation.
I guess most owners of Apple products have a better experience with the Customer Service or where the reputation of Apple being a “cool” company comes from? But based on my experience it looks like Apple's products and Apple's Customer Service may not meet Apple's reputation or customer's expectations. Or am I asking for too much?

I seriously doubt you were at an Apple Store and you were not dealing with Apple employees. You were dealing with a 3rd party shop that does work on Apple products.
Don't know where you are located but you could contact Customer Service at Apple and complain but they are somewhat limited it dealing with a 3rd party company. But they will at least have you complaint on file. Or you could attempt to find an actual Apple Store and take your Shuffle there. Or you could try one of the workarounds listed on the threads here.
