Remote Desktop Mobile Application

I have a Palm Treo Pro that I'm trying to use the REMOTE DESKTOP MOBILE application to access my laptop computer that is running the Microsoft XP Professional operating system. I have configured the settings on my Palm Treo Pro and the Remote Desktop settings on my laptop according to instructions. I still CANNOT establish a connection and get the following message on my Treo when trying to connect.
THE REMOTE COMPUTER HAS ENDED THE CONNECTION.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I can't answer your question directly, but I've had similar interests.
I found that the last connection made is stored in \Windows\Default.rdp.
The executable seems to ignore any parameters given, so you can't tell it to use another file, but you can, of course, replace the contents of the default.rdp file.
I'm planning to wrap wptsc with a Mortscripts that can preserve all the last connections. When the script is launched, it should display a menu of the most recent connections, replace default.rdp with the selected connection, launch wptsc, and update the MRU list upon exit.
Mortscript should also be able to automate the first screen - it can fake keypresses and clicks, detect windows, etc.

I'm looking for a way to automate the Remote Desktop Mobile application wpctsc.exe. Specifically, when wpctsc.exe launches, a screen is first displayed showing Status, Computer, User name, Password, Domain, and other options. I would like it instead to connect (with these defaults) directly without showing this screen. Is there a command line option or registry setting I can take advantage of? If not, can another program such as CETSC be run on WM6 and automated in a similar manner to get the same result? Is there a way to make use of an rdp file?

Since upgrade to Windows 8, cannot save .rdp files under the Remote Desktop Connection application on the Desktop

Since I upgraded to Windows 8, I am no longer able to save individual Remote Desktop Connection files as .rdp files. I am talking about the traditional Remote Desktop Connection application on the Desktop that was in previous Windows versions, not the
Remote Desktop App from the Windows 8 store.
When I try to click on the Save button I get "An error occurred while saving to file"
When I try to click on the Save As button I get "Unable to open connection file" with the file address being where I tried to save it with the file name at the end.
Also when I upgraded to Windows 8, my .rdp files disappeared from my Documents folder.
I need to create different .rdp files for different programs that my employees get into on my server. Now I have to hand type all the info each time into the Programs tap on the Remote Desktop Connection window, because I can't save to an
.rdp file.
I like the Remote Desktop App from the Windows store but it won't let me designate specific programs to use using standard dos notation (ie c:\program files\ etc..). It just goes to my server desktop.
I want to promote Windows 8 to my employees but I need either .rdp files for the traditional Remote Desktop Connection or the ability to open specific programs using dos notation in the Windows Store Remote Desktop App.

You don't need to worry too much about what's in here. Save the text file as
filename.rdp then rightclick on the file and select edit. The familiar GUI rdp session editor will open. You can make changes in the GUI and
save or save as a different session.

I am currently researching on Hyper-V before testing it out. I have read on the web that Hyper-V virtual machine connections utilizes the RDP protocol, and can be accessed using the vmconnect.exe. I am planning on testing Linux and OSes along
with Windows. However, I wonder is it possible for me to connect to the virtual machine using just the normal Remote Desktop Connection application (mstsc.exe)? I know that it is always possible by configuring Windows virtual machines, but what

Sure , but MSTSC.exe is based on TCP/IP , it means the VM should be accessable through IP .
VMconnect.exe works on VMBus .
In addition , there's no windows terminal server build-in in linux server , XRDP may cover your needs:

Apple Remote Desktop Dashboard Widget v3.6 not functioning as advertised

Just saw there's an updated (A)RD Widget.
I've downloaded it but seems exactly the same as previous versions.
I can't view widget of MacMini Server. Instead has yellow triangle with exclamation point.
Can't interact/launch ARD by clicking on widget of any individual compter, SL or Lion.
Grey screen with or without spinning wheel for Lion clients.
Anyone getting the 3.6 widget to funcrtion as described?

2 iMacs and a MacBok Pro.
MacBook Pro and iMac 1 (the newer) works fine with the widget. But both can't see the iMac 2, only the exclamation mark

JavaFX editbox very slow on remote desktop

When I run any JavaFX application (Scene Builder for example) on remote desktop this application starts move very slow after using editbox (typing some chars). Any suggestion?

But other programs (even Netbeans) works Ok. Only JavaFX give me this problem. I can't go other way because I live in Vancouver but my job office placed in Edmonton.

Apple Remote Desktop 3.2 - Keyboard only types a's

Hi, I upgraded my Apple Remote Desktop Admin application to 3.2 last night.
Connected to a remote location via a VPN connection, using a Draytek 2800 both ends, and upgraded the client software on two macs, an iMac G5 and a PowerBook G4.
Both these where, and still are, on OSX 10.4.5.
No all I can do is type a's. Any key character I type from my location appears on the remote screen as an 'a'.
I can't do a thing. Restarted both macs remotely and fixed the permissions. No help.
As I can't enter an admin password remotely I can't update the OS or run any utilities such a cocktail or Tiger Cache Cleaner.
I have therefore lost all control.
There are no users at the remote location at the moment so I do not know whether keyboard input is ok locally.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Our experience is we got this on 10.4.5 clients when we upgraded our admin clients to 10.4.11 and updated ARD admin to 3.2.1.
We have new systems of 10.4.9 and 11 ready to deploy, but as a quick fix you can update to 10.4.6 with the small updaters from apple:

How to run windows mobile device center via remote desktop

I am developing mobile application in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. I connect to my computer via remote desktop and my operating system is Windows Server 2012 R2. In order to test the application, I use mobile device emulator. I can run device emulator but
there occurs a problem when I try to cradle the device. I found out that this is because wmdc cannot run via remote desktop. Is there any way to run wmdc via remote desktop? I searched other topics but there is no solution to this.
Note : WMDC works when I directly use the computer not with remote desktop.

Error when uninstalling App-V RDS client: Product: Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) Client for Remote Desktop Services 5.0 Service Pack 2 x64 -- Error 1324. The folder path 'C:' contains an invalid character

Issue: experienced when attempting to uninstall the App-V 5.0 SP2 RDS client.
Event Log: Product: Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) Client for Remote Desktop Services 5.0 Service Pack 2 x64 -- Error 1324. The folder
path 'C:' contains an invalid character
Symptoms (when in this current state):
Unable to uninstall the SP2 client
You can upgrade the client (via hotfix) and uninstall the hotfix, but you will not be able to remove the SP2 client
AppvVfs filter driver will not create an instance, therefore applications will not be able to read into existing streamed VFS content, or trigger sparse files to stream content. (you can still stream the content via other means, like the UI or powershell)
Because of the AppvVfs filter driver not instantiating, applications that depend on licences that exist in VFS will not be able to be read causing certain applications to react as if the license does not exist or is an incorrect format

Resolution:
Check for the existence of a hidden folder named %appdata% in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Application Virtualization\Client folder. (You will need to un-check the folder options box in windows explorer for "Hide
protected operating system files" to see it)
If the hidden %appdata% folder exists, delete it.
Proceed to uninstall the App-V client
After a clean uninstall and removal of remnants of the client, reinstall the client again and apply the latest hotfix available (Hotfix 2 for SP2 at a minimum).

HP 1300 wont print from Remote Desktop applications

I have an HP 1300n attached via USB to a windows 7 computer. I log onto a clien'ts windows 2003 server using remote desktop application. I have installed the driver to HP 1300 PCL 5 on the remote server and of course it's installed on the windows 7 machine. I can see the HP via port TSXxx on the remote server but when printing, nothing happens. The document is sent to the "printer" but doesnt print in my office. I've tried many solutions and nothing so far works. I have 3 other windows 7 computers and 3 others HP 1300 and all are experiencing the same thing.

Windows 8.1 pro Remote App crashes connecting to 2012 Remote Desktop Web Access published application

Using 2012 Remote Desktop Web access to gain access to published applications. The workstation was a Windows 8.1 (home) upgraded to Windows 8.1 Pro with the Media Center add on. Launching the url to the login page for the RDW works fine. When the app is
clicked on to launch the Remote App crashes. How do I get it to properly connect. Other Windows 8.1 pro workstations work. Although none were upgraded from the 8.1 (home) Here is the event.

The computer is brand new HP.
Windows 8.1 pro with media center
processor Intel i7-4700mq - 12gig ram -64bit
Full windows touch support with 10 touch points
The computer is connecting to a 2012 Server hosted on Microsoft's Azure platform. Trying to access applications hosted by this server with Remote Desktop Web services. The computer can RDP using just the mstsc.exe to other computers and to the server with
no problem.
The computer presents the following msg box Body: Remote Desktop Connection has stopped working. I have tried the following to resolve this and narrow the scope:
-Created a new user account for the computer with admin rights, rebooted and logged in as the new user.
-Tried a different user account for the portal, that does work. The user does not show up as connected.
-All MS updates were loaded.
-Added these changes to the registry to keep alive the connection: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Gateway\Transports\Rpc-----HttpKeepAliveTimeout=dword:00000001
And HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client----RDGClientTransport=dword:00000001
Loaded this update http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2919394/EN-US
-Removed all printers
-Removed Antivirus
-Added the server to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default
-Disabled everything in MSCONFIG startup
-Ran sfc /scannow as administrator - no integrity violations

I tried to set up a remote desktop between my macmini and my work computer. I hit cancel and now the Remote Desktop will not close. I cannot shut down my computer either. How do you close a non-responsive application. I have tried everything!

I tried to set up a remote desktop connection between my MacMini and my work computer. It was not working so I hit cancel, but then the big black screen of death came up and will not go a way. I cannot close my computer nor quit the remote desktop connection. How do you close a non-responsive application? By the way, I am new to Mac and it is not as simple as hitting the Control, Alt, Delete. Please help.

Try ( alt + cmd + esc ). Gives you a menu of running applications, and a chance to "Force Quit".

How to recognize if application is installed using "Install Application on Remote Desktop" option on Windows Server 2008 R2

How to recognize if application is installed using "Install application on remote desktop..." option in Control Panel in Windows Server 2008 R2?
Basically, as administrator, I can't say if the user installed application using "Install application on remote desktop..." in Control Panel or he just installed it by clicking the .msi executable. I can't find anything that makes any difference.
I could not find anything in the registry. I am quite confused.

Thank you for your posting in Windows Server Forum.
Please make sure that you are using category view of control panel-programs to check the application. And in addition to “install application on Remote Desktop server” user can also use command line also.
change user /install
