Remote Destkop Web Acces IP Phone App

Hello,
first of all, thank you for your reply's.
Let me make you know the scenary.
I have an IP phone application running in 2 Remote Desktop Session Host (RDSH). When I connect to them by Terminal Server and I use this App it is working fine, I can make calls and I can hear the voice of the clients, and they can also hear my voice.
When I try to use this application also from a Web Access which is running on a Remote Desktop Web Access (RDWA) which is at the same time connecting to this RDSH's the application runs well, no problem with it, but then when I use it, they can hear my voice
but I'm not able to hear them voices.
Everything is running on Windows 2012 R2 Servers, there are no more RDSH, just that 2 that I mentioned before and I'm using Internet Explorer 9.
Any ideas please? I'm going crazy!

Hi,
Firstly, please go to the Collection properties -> Client Settings, and check if Audio and video playback is checked.
In addition, please publish another application which can play sound, such as Media Player and check if you can hear sound.

The computer is brand new HP.
Windows 8.1 pro with media center
processor Intel i7-4700mq - 12gig ram -64bit
Full windows touch support with 10 touch points
The computer is connecting to a 2012 Server hosted on Microsoft's Azure platform. Trying to access applications hosted by this server with Remote Desktop Web services. The computer can RDP using just the mstsc.exe to other computers and to the server with
no problem.
The computer presents the following msg box Body: Remote Desktop Connection has stopped working. I have tried the following to resolve this and narrow the scope:
-Created a new user account for the computer with admin rights, rebooted and logged in as the new user.
-Tried a different user account for the portal, that does work. The user does not show up as connected.
-All MS updates were loaded.
-Added these changes to the registry to keep alive the connection: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Gateway\Transports\Rpc-----HttpKeepAliveTimeout=dword:00000001
And HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client----RDGClientTransport=dword:00000001
Loaded this update http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2919394/EN-US
-Removed all printers
-Removed Antivirus
-Added the server to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default
-Disabled everything in MSCONFIG startup
-Ran sfc /scannow as administrator - no integrity violations
Any suggestions?

Do Web pages for phones have to be Apps?

I do not own a mobile phone that is web enabled, and I never designed a web page for phones, but now due to the steep learning curve, I need a quick fix.
Reading the help in Dreamweaver 5.5, there is lots of information about creating the best mobile sites, though at the moment, I don't understand a lot of it - but that's my fault.
However, when I use someone else's phone to look at most existing sites that are just designed for computers to view, the phone has facilities that make the sites available.
Lots of zooming and such which is a pain, but you usually can view them.
It occurred to me that perhaps there is a position mid way between a stock web site and a fully fledged phone app could be a stop gap solution until the whole mess of media queries, and other phone related stuff is understood.
My suggested solution is as follows:
Provide seperate sets of pages for both types at suitable sizes ( max 320 wide for mobiles).
Keep all graphics for phone pages to a minimum size and well optimised to allow for quick page loading.
1.On the index page of the site, put a large link to the phone pages and one to the computer pages so that its easily seen by phone users
2. Design the index page and all phone pages so that the content would fit on a 320 pixel wide screen.
3. Have the first page after the index purely as the menu screen, with a list of links.
4. Each link leads to a deck of stacked pages that that are serially linked back and forth, with a "return to first page" on each one, with the navigation being at the bottom (or the top?) of the page.
To view pages, the phone user would have to select the phone link on the site's index page, then select from the menu to get to the first page of a topic. He can then flick through the linked set of pages and go back to the menu from any. The pages would fit most mobile phones, and no phone specific stuff wopuld be needed.
I appreciate that this method would not provide the most sparkling of mobile web sites, and would require two sets of pages, which is a maintenance problem, but it ought to help phone users to surf my site until I can get up to speed with the mobile stuff.
Question is - would it work?

jQuery would be the "app" side of that, though if you are really looking to make an application that works on a mobile phone, your best method is to do it in Flash and then compile it using Air. Adobe has a complete discussion of what's required here.

Verizon Messages web app sent messages not showing up on phone app

When I send a message from the Verizon Messages website on my pc the sent message does not sync with my phone (Samsung GS4). I just started using this a few days ago, so it is the latest version. Sent and received messages from my phone show up on my phone and one the website, and sent and received from the website show up on the website, but sent messages from the website don't show up on my phone. Any ideas?

Oh no, I am sorry to hear you are not seeing the messages sent from the web on your phone. Are you looking for the messages on the actual Verizon Messages app? Is the phone properly setup?

For help with the WPF side of this you'll be better off posting in the WPF forum.
There isn't any remote control system built in, but you can use standard networking to implement your own. From the phone side take a look at the
Connecting to networks and web services documentation. In particular, the
Adding support for networking and
Connecting with sockets sections are likely to get you on the right path.

Using remote desktop web access (RDWEB) with remoteapps and a traditional remote desktop

I configured windows 2012 r2 remote desktop services and remote desktop web access (rdweb) and was able to click the icon on the rdweb page to log on to a remote desktop session. When I published a remoteapp program, the remote desktop icon went away. How
do I get it back? Do I need to publish remote desktop as a remoteapp so users can both use remote apps and log on to a traditional remote desktop session?

How do i insert a splash screen or a loading screen and a application image for a phone app on Dreamweaver 6, 5.5 had the mobile application setting that is seemingly no longer present? and i also heard you can use animanted backgrounds on the mobile application in dreamweaver 6 but figuring out how to set the splash screen and application image like it was in 5.5 would be nice. All i can get to pull up is the web application i developed i am trying to build into a phone app on google chrome, if i could officially designate it as a phone app where i can set each splash screen and app image to where it is recognized as a phone app that would be really nice.

Duely noted, the server will still not connect, so i have left an inquery in the suggested forum.

Duplicate session error using Flash Remoting from Air 3.4 Mobile Apps ( IOS and Android ) with CF10

We're getting the "duplicate session" error using Flash Remoting from Air 3.4 Mobile Apps ( IOS and Android ) with Coldfusion 10 Standard.
faultCode:Server.Processing.DuplicateSessionDetected faultString:'Detected duplicate HTTP-based FlexSessions,
generally due to the remote host disabling session cookies.
Session cookies must be enabled to manage the client connection correctly.' faultDetail:'null'
Have read most of the docs about this error -all to do with LCDS
Notes:
Not using LCDS,
No Remote Calls from loaded Sub-Apps,
No Errors from the Flex Web App which is pretty much identical and calls the same cfcs.
The error does not happen all the time and is hard to reproduce - say 5% of app sessions at a guess.
Could it be a two first time remote calls hitting the server together before a session is set up?
Our remoteObjects are in two places 1) Main Application.mxml and within a class compiled into the main app - can't see how this would be an issue.
I enabled session management for the CFCs in Application.cfc but still occurs. Is this neccessary - it's not in any docs?
Could this be something to do with the app not being shut down - as is typical with mobile users? When they resume use after a day or two surely a new session will be created?

For our profect I think this issue was caused as follows:
Believing that remoting was full asynchronous we fired a 2 or 3 remote calls to the server at the same time ( within the same function ) - usually when the users goes to a new section of the app.
This seemed to trigger the duplicate http session error since according to http://blogs.adobe.com/lin/2011/05/duplication-session-error.html two remote calls arriving before a session is created will cause 2 sessions to be created.
Our current solution ( too early to say it works ) is to daisy chain the multiple calls together .
Also there seemed to be an issue where mobile apps that never quit ( thanks Apple! ) caused the error when activated after a few hours.
I guess the session expires on the server and the error above occurs on activation.
So the mobile apps now ping the server with a remote call when activated after sleeping for more than one hour.
All duplicate http errors are silently caught and reported.
Fingers crossed we won't get any more!

Windows Phone app based on website

Hey, I want to make windows phone app and don't know where to start. Actually, I don't need help with how to make wp app, but how to get data from website. My app should look something similar to the Microsoft Facebook app (except that it will not be Facebook).
Let me try to explain it a bit. In facebook app you click a button (for example "news") and magic happens - content from facebook appears. My question is, how? What do I have to do to "communicate" with website, to get content or even trigger
website functions. So far I've been only able to work with websites that I have access to database. I assume "magic" is going on using GET and POST functions, but I don't think that are the only two functions to do awesome app such as Facebook
(developed by Microsoft)...

You would have to add a webservice on the web site you can call to get the data. I would recommend using the web api for this.
If your website has an rss feed you can use that to get data from the website also

Interactive phone app mock-up

Hi All,
I would like to build a mock up of an android or iphone app with a littel interactivity. I have the Adobe Master Suite, but I am assuming that Fireworks would be the best program? There are a number of videos on Website mock-ups using Fireworks. Is this a common use of Fireworks and are their any resources available for phone app mock-ups?

Yes it can be used. In fact there are free, high quality templates available on the web for both Iphone and Android OS's. The real issue is what kind of interactivity are you hoping for? FW won't reproduce swiping, for example.

FYI: Phone app in a folder

First, iOS4 is so far the BEST OS in my opinion, and I've been a user since the very first version... It downloaded fast, installed fast and the multi tasking option runs a lot smoother and quicker than I thought it would on a 3GS. However, saying that, there is always the little glitches after initial launch (as with every consumer product seems like). The only glitch I have had so far, after 2 full days of use, is that I had the bright idea of putting all the native Apple iPhone apps (or at least most of them) in one folder on my task bar just to make more room. The Phone app was one of the ones that I moved and ever since then, my phone service and data transfer kept cutting out. Took me a while to figure out which feature was making it happen, but that was it. As soon as I moved the Phone app out of the folder and shut down/restarted the phone, everything was back to normal. Hope this helps those having problems. : )

To manually deploy a web application (for eg: an ear file), you would have to place the ear file in the following location:
<oc4j_instance>/applications
Also, you would have to modify the config files viz. the server.xml and http-web-site.xml in case of ear files.
The oc4j instance would then have to be bounced.

I'm not sure about the apps, but to prevent theft, you'll also need to disable the power button and the ability to restore the ipad. You might also want to superglue in your Sim card because if they remove that, it wont be tracked unless they connect to WiFi.
Also, I'm not so sure it is an app on the iPad. I think it is built into the mail, calendar and contacts options if you have a Mobile me account. http://www.apple.com/ipad/find-my-ipad-setup/
