I can see other discs such as music and stuff so I know I have installed it correctly but how come I can't see the blank disc that I need to burn?
You can't burn discs remotely, you can only read data discs remotely (i.e. you cannot play movie DVDs either).
Either copy the files to the remote computer or get an external drive.

When I plug in my iPhone to my computer, the computer recognizes the device, but my iTunes no longer does. As far as troubleshooting goes, I've restarted the phone, iTunes, and the computer. I have also plugged in my iPhone to my another computer and it shows up on iTunes on the second computer. The next thing I have read says to completely uninstall iTunes and reinstall, but I'd like to keep that as my last resort. I did however plug in my iPod and my iTunes does recognize that. If the problem was with iTunes itself, wouldn't it not recognize either device? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!
It does so have the capabilities to be seen on your PC, I do it all the time to move my pictures from my phone to the PC and I have the iPhone 4s

My Mac won't recognize iPod nanos but it does recognize an iPod touch and an iPad?
So I tried troubleshooting didn't work the iPod nanos, tried differentt cords and USB ports and ended with the same result, iPad and iPod touch are able to connect but the iPod nanos don't even get recognize by the desktop. It just seems as if the iPod nanos are just charging and I'm trying to avoid uninstalling iTunes like the plague. Someone help please??

Did you check the USB cable or try another one?
Did you check the docking port for any kind of debris or lint?
Did you already try to reset your device by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again? -
My school has a website. The professor uploads files in Word. When I click on the link at home using Pages, the download window opens with nothing in it and Safari opens with a blank in the address book. What Could be wrong? Wrong set up?
Hi Jo,
If I'm interpreting this correctly, the Word file downloads correctly, but when you open it in Pages, the link(s) which your instructor has embedded in the Word file are not correctly translated into Pages.
If the link shows the actual address, you should be able to copy that and paste it into the location bar in Safari, press return, and get to the website that way.
An alternate route might be to download one of the open source Office applications, OpenOffice.org, LibreOffice, or NeoOffice. These are written to more closely emulate the behaviours of MS Word than Pages, and may provide better support for links embedded in Word files.

SMTP is the protocol used to send mail, where IMAP and POP are the protocols used to receive mail. ISPs can have different servers for these protocols.
In this case, the specified receiving (IMAP or POP) server, or the receiving user and password credentials, are likely incorrect.
What does the Connection Doctor diagnostic tool report?
Mail.app's Window menu > Connection Doctor
To check or change the settings, select Mail.app's Mail menu > Preferences... > Accounts and select the account you need to edit in the left column.
The receiving information will be displayed for the selected Account, with either POP or IMAP shown. Confirm with the ISP that your POP or IMAP mail settings are correct per the ISP's recommendations, as well. And in general, IMAP is preferable to POP, if you have the option of using either of those with your ISP. -
I am trying to down load a movie from Itunes on my ipad but as the download is complete an error msg appears stating download error. I've tried downloading 4 times and the same message. What could be wrong?

I am currently an owner of an Ipod Touch 4th generation. I see you are having problems with your Ipod Touch, so I will try to find a solution to your problem.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10sec. or until Apple logo appears (Nothing will be lost, this is just a "Hard Reset")

What could be wrong with my iMac? When switched on the screen displays the apple logo with a busy bar at the bottom of the screen. This displays the progress of the computer trying to do something. To fill the bar takes about 30 mins and then switches off

My Mac has suddenly stopped playing my DVDs including a DVD it played fine only 3 days ago. I insert the DVD and wait for the player to start automatically but after 10 minutes, nothing is happening and it sounds like the disk has stopped spinning. I've now tried with four different DVDs (all store bought and so perfectly normal disks). The Mac doesn't eject the disk or anything it just doesn't seem to respond to it being there at all.
My main confusion is why this suddenly happened today when it was perfectly fine last week.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong and how I could fix it? Thank you.

Have you activated Digital Editions with an Adobe ID (or a Vendor ID)?
Go to the Help menu and select Authorization Information...

My MacBook keeps restarting - what could be wrong?
I have a MacBook 1.1 (Intel Core Duo) running OS X 10.4.11.
Over the last few days my laptop has been restarting itself for no apparent reason while I am working. This happens both when I am online and offline. This morning, instead of simply restarting, it suddenly showed me a black box with a warning in several languages telling me that I had to restart, which I did.
I have verified my disk and repaired disc permissions using Disc Utility - nothing seems to be wrong. And so far as I can know I have not done anything strange to the computer lately. What could be wrong, please? After the restarts the system functions quite normally for several hours - until the next restart!I'm having the exact same problem since installing the new security, itunes, and quicktime updates too! My computer has me restart it at least once a day if not more ever since I installed them. I'm always only using like Firefox, iPhoto, iTunes, etc. Nothing major. Today my computer wouldn't start at all. I had to renew the PRAM or whatever it's called just to get it to come on, and it has since made me restart twice.
