Remote for iPhone - Choosing speakers

Ever since they brought out an update for Remote for the iPhone I have been unable to change the speaker selection. Where has the option gone? It used to be under settings but I cannot find it. Am I being really dense?

YES, you're right! Just found it, tap the screen whilst song is playing and a speakers menu pops up! Doh! Seems so simple now, sometimes when things are right in front of you.....!!
Thanks for your help

• Remote for iPhone

Many people with this ... remote app no working in Snow Leopard 10.6.2, iTunes 9.0.3, iPhone 3.1.2 ... Here's what I've tried so far:
1) Re-created my iTunes library.
2) iTunes>Preferences>Devices> "Forget All Remotes"
3) Created test account on Mac Pro with fresh iTunes library
4) Re-installed iTunes.
5) Turned off my firewall.
6) Open ports in my router.
Apps like SnowRemote or iReciver have the same problem... APPLE need to do something with this!!!
I am able to type in the code but at that point it says it cannot connect to my library due to my firewall. This is impossible because the firewall is off.
Remote app running in Leopard NOT in Snow Leopard, try in 3 Mac´s, one of them with Leopard, running OK!!, 2 with Snow Leopard, guest what? same problem!!!
Any help?

• Remote for iPhone 3GS

There are lots of discussions out there and lots of sites (via Google search) regarding iPhone apps that turn your phone into a remote. What I'm looking for however (and having the hardest time finding) is a remote to control my iPhone 3GS. In otherwords, is there a product out there (or does the apple remote maybe do it?) that will allow me to plug my iPhone into a stereo via the headset jack and then switch songs forward/back etc.? Thanks in advance!

Hmmm... I've had two vehicle intergration kits that included remotes. Unfortunately they also included a mount and power plug (cigarette lighter type). They both basically included a receiver that plugged into the dock that the remote "spoke to". I have a hard time accepting that no one has taken the technology and just removed the power plug and mount.

Hi,
Yes.
I use Tango to control my iTunes library from my iPhone.
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tango-remote-control-music/id345279970?mt=8
Make sure and install the Tango app on both devices.
Launch the app on your iPhone and follow the instructions. Very easy to use.
After the app discovers your music library, tap "More" at the bottom of the app window then tap Settings. You can enable the iPhone so you just "shake" it to play the next song.

• Home sharing for iPhone 4; Remote App

Am using Windows XP desktop which is connected to router with Ethernet and my iPhone 4 uses the Wi-Fi.
Got latest version of iTunes.
Latest version of Remote.app
iPhone OS 4.3.3, not 4.3.5
I followed this guide to implement the inbound settings since it isn't available on Windows XP the way it is available on Windows 7:-
no-ip . com/support/guides/routers/configuring_windows_xp_firewall.html
The port number i entered for TCP is 3689 and named it as bounjourport(the name shouldn't matter).
mDNSResponder.exe is also running.
And am still unable to locate my iPhone in iTunes for 'Remote App'. Actually there isn't any "Devices" list present on iTunes, though it appears when i connect the phone with USB. Also tried port forwarding on router, still no change.
Please help!!
**My previous phone was Sony Ericsson w995 which supported DLNA and i could access my phone files through the same PC with Ethernet connection to the router, so i guess this should be possible for iPhone too.
Thanks in advance.

Anyone help me please?

How to connect my iphone 4s to a USB sound card for 5.1 speakers?

You can't:
1. iPhone sound output is stereo, not Dolby 5.1 compatible.
2. iPhones do not connect sound output by standard USB.  The connecting device has to be iPhone compatible.

I am trying to use my iPhone or iPad as a remote for my Apple TV, but on my TV screen the "add remote" option is grey and cannot be selected. Any suggestions? Thanks, Cliff

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you have already turned on home sharing on the Apple TV, then the Apple TV should simply show up in the remote app without you having to do anything else.
Unfortunately, if you haven't yet enabled home sharing, you can only do so with the original remote and you'll need to purchase a replacement from the Apple Store.

Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen.

Turn off home sharing, you don't need that. Open Itunes Preferences from the computer. Go to the devices section. At the bottom you will see the option to add a remote access that and follow the steps.

My Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic White For iPhone says: made in vietnam right in the cord. i want to know if they are OEM? here my email: [email protected], thanks.

Accidental damage is not covered under the warranty but if possible to reset the screen without causing additional damage, the Apple Store should do this without charging for it.

As the King says, if your friends wifi router was relatively new, it likely has not been picked up by Apple's location based information database system and thus there is no location information associated with it.  So your iPad had no way of getting its location.
The wifi location databases are traditionally updated by wardriving - literally companies employ people to drive around sniffing out active wifi signals and associating an approximate location to it.  Some companies also have web sites to submit that information if owners wish to (Apple does not seem to have one though), and the various companies with wifi location databases buy and sell their information.  Bottom line is though, it can take weeks, months or sometimes even longer for a residential router to get picked up - depends on where you live (more rural, likely the longer time it takes).
When I moved from VA to NC it took up to 6 months for mine to reflect my new location (I checked it once the week I moved in, and then periodically thereafter, and it finally was getting it right after about 6 months) and I live in a pretty densley populated area (triangle NC).

well i'd seriosly say point a hot hair drier at the speakers as water has entered the phone most commonly via the home button but avoid getting it too hot let it cool every 3 minutes after constant drying. Don't worry I have honestly dont this with my iPhone 4 GSM 16GB. For future reference avoid letting it get wet.

What about this site to buy the iPhone, which works with MTS and Beeline? throw off the link, please?
I do not know anything about MTS or Beeline - are they GSM carriers, do they offer LTE and if so, on what frequencies?
The USA online store sells unlocked iPhones, which are model A1428 and is the same model phone as sold carrier-locked to AT&T here.  But again, you cannot buy anything from the USA online unless you have a USA billing address, USA-issued payment source (e.g. credit card) and have it shipped within the USA.  If you are in Russia, you need to buy from a site that sells in Russia, not from the USA online Apple Store.
