Remote lock code forgotten

How can I recover a remote lock code?
My gmail account was hacked and they used iCloud to wipe my new MacBook pro.

Av8tor, if you are indeed an innocent victim in all of this, I suggest that you take the computer to an AASP. After all, this is what you are SUPPOSED to know ahead of time before you allow your device to become locked
Only they are supposed to.... ahem... handle the situation after the lock.

Disable the remote lock code

I downloaded iOS5 and like any new toy, I wanted to play to see how it all worked. I went to Find iPhone on our iPad and did a remote search. It asked for a remote passcode, but now everytime my phone goes to sleep, I must use the passcode to get back into it. Please tell me there is a way to disable this!! I need to be able to get my calls immediately, being I work in a school and need to limit the distractions. (I get fumbly when unexpected calls come in! )

As I hit send my daughter stumbled in and asked what I was doing. When I explained, told me that the unlock setting was on the phone.
Go to settings, general and lo and behold, use the passcode lock to turn it on or off.
And who says kids aren't good for anything?

HT4528 My phone is not responding. I have (1) backed up my phone (2) tried to restore my phone reset it . goes through the prompts then gets an error that it can't finish because of error. problem was lock code forgotten.

Help. Nokia C7 lock code forgotten

I bought a Nokia C7 2 weeks ago..I changed the security code but I forgot it...I am in a big trouble now every time I try to open it..It demands the security code...Please help what can I do?

There is no way to retrieve your security code if you have forgotten it.
Its down to the fact that is a security function, and would be useless if anyone could simply override it.
The only people who can reset this for you would be a Nokia Care point.
You will have to pay for the service, as it is not a warranty fault.

I got my ipod nano resently I showed it to my friends but when I looked at the screen lock option (I didn't put any code for the moment) it said change code and not choose code (or whatever should be written).
I really don't know what the code is and I don't know what to do.

Remote Lock Macbook

I tried this for fun to see the process from both ends, basically I went to iCloud.com and chose "Lock Macbook" which it prompts me to enter a 4 digit passcode, 1 minute later my MBP shuts down and restarts, now this is where the problem lies, it forgets your startup disk because the folder with question mark pops up, I had to then restart holding alt to select startup disk, but I could select 10.8 recovery partition, which would enable me to reinstall OSX 10.8 bypassing the remote locking code entry....surely theres no point in remote lock then?

It states that they do not have a process to track or flag a lost or stolen product. Without Find My Mac turned on there is not much he can do other than report it to law enforcement.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

N8 remote locking - now security code is *always* ...

I always enable the security option for changin sim cards, however I tried the remote locking option today. It is enabled and the phone is unlocked.
Now, *every* time, I power on the phone once it was off, I am asked for the security code - not quite the behaviour I expect ?
I want the security code *only* once a new sim is used or it *is* actually locked via sms.
Any options ?

Yeah I have had the same issue since I "updated" the phone to the Belle system. I use updated very loosely, as there seems to be nothing right with this update. It freezes randomly, its slow when it does work, the design is fairly useless as they managed to hide a lot of options that were previously easy to find. Not a big issue, but for people who arent as technologically minded as some of us, they would struggle.
The constant having to put in a security code (which 12345 doesnt work on my phone, it just tells me the security code was not accepted, but still opens the phone how does that make sense?) is really annoying and once the contract is over (which thank god isnt too long) I wont be getting a Nokia phone again and I'll make sure no one I know does either.
The saddest part is, this Nokia phone is actually less reliable than an Apple, which is really pathetic. Nokia used to be good, what happened?
I am about to go and try to fix this phone myself, as people I've talked to in a phone store have had no idea what is wrong, which is just really helpful when you're looking for a solution.

After not using my phone for a while, I forgot my lock code. I did a hard reset after removing battery for 10 minutes, and the phone was runing for some time - the lock code remained unkown but it booted, before it wanted the lock code to boot off, but after this my stupid head decided to update the phone - causing it to restart, and even worst now it not only again ask for the unknown lock code at boot, it also can't hard reset by the Green key,Red key, camera button switch on method + 10 minutes w/o battery. I can provide the IMEI from the box, if it will be of any use. Thanks for any future help.

Good...good. There is a bit of a problem here. In Bulgaria we lack of Nokia Care Points, so to speak. As long as I know, actually there is not a single one. What should I do? I do not trust other store giving "repair phone features", as long as, they tend to take your original phone parts and replacing them with china made. Because in Bulgaria this kind of phones are considered as expensive - they take 2 avarage salaries to buy... And I definetelly will take my phone with a chine made display and etc. Sending it by posts and other things also doesn't count as a good option, as long as things tend to disappear, if I can say it so.
