Remote Logon Button Disabled

Hi,
According to the link:
how to connection r3 to xi
Raghavesh has given the following links
SAP XI1) RFC Destination (SM59)
a) Choose create.
b) Specify the name of the RFC destination
c) Select connection type as 3 and save
d) In the technical settings tab enter the details SAP SID/URL and system number#.
e) Enter the Gateway host as same details above SID/URL.
f) Gateway service is 3300+system number#.
g) In the Logon /Security tab, enter the client user & Password details of Destination system.
h) Test the connection and remote logon.
In this, if I give gateway host and service details and save , the remote logon button disappears from the screen and appears when I delete the gateway host and service details.
1. why it disappears ?
2. I can do test connection but I am to do remote logon (If I prees the button nothing is happening)
How can I do remote logon.
Thanks,
ss

Thanks Bhavesh
As you mentioned I am creating a type 3 connection and I am not giving the Gateway host and service values. I have given target host details (host name) and in the log on tab, I gave the client number and the user id and password.
The following way I have given :
RFC destination: can I give any name here ? ( I have given a name of my choice)
Connection type: 3
In LOgon/Security
language: en
client: 100
user: XISUPER
password:-----
Technical settings:
Target host: IP address
system no:01
save as: Hostname
Gateway options: No value is given here
Does it mean in anyway that if test connection is successfull the connection between R3 and XI has been established even though remote Logon was unsuccessfull
Pls help
Thanks,
ss

  • GRC AC 10: Emergency Access Management, Logon button is disabled (GRAC_SPM)

    Hello Gurus,
    I have configured Emergency Access Management in GRC AC 10.
    GRC Box (SID) : GR1 client 100
    Backend ERP system : D24 client 100
    The FIREFIGHTER in GRC system : FFUSER1
    Z_SAP_GRAC_SUPERUSER_MGMTUSER
    Z_SAP_GRC_FN_BASE
    Z_SAP_GRC_NWBC
    In the Backend ERP system the FIREFIGHTER ID: ABC wants to access the FIREFIGHTER(FFUSER1)
    Hence in NWBC (Setup >Superuser Assignment>Firefighter ID) the assignment is done.
    ABC(FIREFIGHTER ID) <--->FFUSER1(FIREFIGHTER)
    Now the User login the GRC system using FFUSER1 assigned following roles
    Z_SAP_GRAC_SUPERUSER_MGMTUSER
    Z_SAP_GRC_FN_BASE
    Z_SAP_GRC_NWBC
    Z_SAP_GRAC_SPM_FFID
    and runs Transaction: GRAC_SPM
    and he is able to see that ABC is assigned .
    Now the user clicks on "Logon" and the status changes from green to "RED".
    A new SAP screen opens asking credintials for Backend ERP system D24 client 100
    The User enters his own Id : ABC and password and logs in.
    Runs the necessary transactions and logs out using transaction: /nex
    The session in GRC is still running and now the "LOGON button" is disabled , he comes out of that screen too.
    When the user tries to login again using FFUSER1 to do more task , the "LOGON Button" is seen disabled.
    and clicking the "unlock" button also doesn;t help.
    When checked in SM04, no live session is reflected .
    How can we "enable" the LOGON button in the transaction : GRAC_SPM for the same FIREFIGHTER (FFUSER1) assigned for Firefighter ID (ABC) ??
    As it is now not possible to click "LOGON" button and the status is "RED".
    Please let me know your opinion .
    Thank You.

  • Return remote button disabled

    I'm having trouble getting the Return remote control button to behave in a DVD that I'm authoring. If I set the Return button at the disc level to call a script that does some conditional jumps, then when I play the DVD in the simulator, the Return button is disabled during playback of tracks. It's also disabled when I play the DVD using Apple's DVD Player application. (The Menu button is set to call the same script and it works fine.) Similarly, if I just set the Return button to call the main menu directly, I still have the Return button disabled (get a "Not Permitted" message when playing in Apple DVD Player, for example.)
    I have looked at the User Operations at the track level, and nothing is disabled there. Is there somewhere else the source of this problem could be hiding?
    Thanks,
    --JV

    Yep... the Return button is not well implemented in DVDSP and I'd go so far as to say that you're probably better off not using it.
    The return button is designed to allow you to navigate the disc hierarchy... it is more properly called the 'go up' button... taking you from where you are back up one 'level'. In fact it really doesn't do this very well at all, and hasn't since v1. Trai Forrester wrote a pretty good article about it, but for the life of me I can't find it now.
    You'll need to find a way around the issue - like adding logical buttons on each menu to help with the navigation.

  • Is it ever ok to entirely disable the remote Title button?

    I am considering disabling the remote Title button in all menus, tracks, and stories in a DVD that has a main menu and one chapter menu. Doing so seems to solve all the navigation problems I was having due to the inconsistent behavior of DVD players, but I wonder whether viewers would find it weird that whenever they press the Title button they encountered the message "Operation prohibited by disk at this time" or the red-circle-with-a-slash symbol: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e9/SlashCircle.svg/120px-S lashCircle.svg.png
    What do you think? Is it ok to entirely disable the remote Title button?
    Thanks,
    John Link
    P.S. Here is a full description of the DVD structure:
    Main menu with four buttons:
    1) Play track 1 (Preview)
    2) Play track 2 with audio stream 1 (Full movie with regular soundtrack)
    3) Play story in track 2 with audio stream 2 (Full movie with director's commentary soundtrack)
    4) Go to chapter menu
    Chapter menu with a button for each chapter in track 2 and a button to return to the main menu
    Disable remote Title button in both menus, both tracks, and the story
    Set remote Return button in main menu to go to chapter menu
    Set remote Return button in chapter menu to go to main menu

    ll, personally I wouldn't find it weird. I never use the title button on my DVD player remote control anyway. Don't even know what it does, TBH!
    I wonder whether you would change your opinion if you were to find out what the remote Title button does.

  • Disable "logon" button for BPC for Excel,powerpoint and word .

    Hello All,
            Is there way to hide u201CLOGONu201D button for BPC for excel, word and PowerPoint. We want that our end users canu2019t see it.We have 300 users .  Is there any environment variable or BPC package setting for this to do it for all users in one shot?
    Thanks,
    Saquib Khan

    Hi,
    I still don't get why this requirement but I can understand it is required by a customer.
    I don't understand where is the problem if somebody will press by mistake that button.
    It will prompt login window and the user will be able to press cancel button.
    I think the solution proposed it is really dangerours and it can cause a lot of issues with BPC if you will delete the logon dll.
    What I want to clarify is who is asking about that button to be hide?
    Are we speaking about BPC users?
    If yes then they will use a really nice functionality.
    Majority of BPC users are working in Excel and at some moment they need access to BPC.
    So in that case it is easy they have just to press the logon button.
    If you will hide that button they will have to go into launch page and from there to start BPC webexcel.
    So that's means they will really loose a lot of time just to be back again into excel.
    So I don't get why the people request to hide that button.
    Let's suppose somebody press by mistake that button ...what is the issue with that?
    I need to understand the requirements to be able to understand what kind of solution we can provide for customer.

  • SM59 "Remote Logon" malfunctions after server migration

    Hi all,
    Originally our BW server is running under I386 platform. And the server seems not powerful enough, so we decided to migrate the server to IA64 platform.
    After we migrated the server to the IA64 platform, we've performed some basic checking, including SM59 check. But problem occurs.
    After I choose one of the RFC destination from SM59, I CAN execute the "Connection Test" and "Unicode Test" correctly. But when I press the button "Remote Logon", nothing happens.
    I've also checked for the developer trace and nothing can be found. So I have also updated the Kernel to the latest version but the result is still the same ("Remote Logon" malfunctions).
    Do you have any idea?
    Many Many Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Marco

    > Originally our BW server is running under I386 platform. And the server seems not powerful enough, so we decided to migrate the server to IA64 platform.
    Oh - IA64 - x86_64 would have been as powerful (or even more) and cheaper but neverless - to your problem:
    > After I choose one of the RFC destination from SM59, I CAN execute the "Connection Test" and "Unicode Test" correctly. But when I press the button "Remote Logon", nothing happens.
    Is the user provided a DIALOG user on the remote system? If not, then you can't logon.

  • 'Connect to Remote Host' is disabled

    Hello
    We have recently upgraded to CS4. I have imported all of my old connections without problem.
    My boss recently asked to show him how to upload files to a certain site. Setup site as usual on his machine, but where I can click my 'Connect to Remote Host' button and see all of the server files, my boss' button is disabled and shows a message about setting up version control first.
    We do not want to do this, only to access the server just like we did before. Can version control be turned off? Or is it a different problem?
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    Gareth

    Hi David
    Everything that you said is how it is already setup.
    Access set to None.
    Within Manage Sites > Remote Info all the FTP connection is correct, and has been tested.
    He is actually already using the site, but only through GET and PUT commands, never being able to actually see what is on the server!
    I created the site on my machine a while ago (before updating to cs4), and I wondered if it was something to do with that? I had just made some amends to the site before setting the FTP up in Dw on my boss' Mac.
    As mentioned, below the button, in the space where the server files should display, the message reads "to see the files in the repository you must define the version control settings", which are currently set to NONE.
    cheers

  • Remote Logon Tab does not work

    Hello All,
    We have a standard ABAP RFC Connection from our Dev system to our Prod system. We have maintained the connection with a Dialog user and the connection tests and authorization tests works fine. However when i test the 'Remote Logon' tab , nothing happens. We do not have an error message as well. So I turned on the RFC trace and the entries in the dev_rfc and dev_rd are as below;

    There are no error messages in ST22 and SM21. After reading a couple of posts in SDN; I changed the password of the dialog user to a password consisting only of alphabets and upper case only but that did not help either.
    I did go through the SAP Notes ; 704206 and 189077 , however we are not using a saprouter string for the connection. We are using the local gateway connection.
    Point to note is that the same RFC connection which we have also set up in our Quality system gives us the remote log in prompt.
    I also checked the hosts and services files on both the servers and both seem to have the same entries.
    System Details:
    Release - 620
    Kernel Patch - 640 Patch 414
    Please do share if you have any ideas on how to resolve the issue. Do let me know if you need additional information.
    Thanks

    Hello Adil,
    Appreciate your feedback on this.
    Our network team confirms that the set up between Dev and Prod is exactly same as the set up bw QA and Prod. As the connection bw QA and Prod works , they are suspecting some other area to be the cause of this issue.
    Thanks

  • Remote Logon with Internet Explorer

    Using SAPNW7.0ABAPTrialSP12.
    I'm trying to logon in a network by using Internet Explorer but every thing fails.
    Remote and local Gui Logon is Ok and local logon true URL http://localhost:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000 is Ok.
    I don't know the Url for remote logon and firewall and/or server settings.
    Used following:
    firewall enable Port 3300 and 8000
    http://saphome:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000
    http://saphome:3300/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000
    Could someone point me in the right direction?

    > http://saphome:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000
    > http://saphome:3300/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=000
    If you ping your "saphome" from the network, do you get any reply? One of the things I can think of is the loopback adapter bothering other network traffic. I know of some occasions where my loopback adapter acts as default gateway preventing all outgoing network traffic from reaching the 'real' network adapter.
    If your SAP machine is on the network with a name that can be properly resolved (either a proper network name or a fully qualified domain name or fqdn) try to start your SAP instance without the loopback adapter running and see if you can still reach SAP locally (using the machines network name or fqdn instead of "localhost"). Maybe that'll give some network clues....

  • How to set button disabled property based on backing bean method

    JDeveloper 12c
    I have a table and a button on the page. When user selects certain table row I want to enable/disable the button.
    My backing bean (which has backing bean scope in the task flow where the page is) is
    package view.backing;
    public class Studybrowse {
        public Studybrowse() {
        public String b1_action() {
              //Do something here
            return null;
       public boolean b1_user_auth(){
           // Do something here to return true or false
            return true;
    My button is something like this:
    <af:button text="Do something" id="b4" action="#{backingBeanScope.Studybrowse.b1_action}"
                   disabled="#{backingBeanScope.Studybrowse.b1_user_auth THIS DOES NOT WORK}"
                   partialTriggers="t1"/>
    The first problem is in design time, it says: "Reference backingBeanScope.Studybrowse.b1_user_auth not found"
    and in runtime, desired behavior does not work.
    Any help is appreciated

    Timo:
    I changed my backing bean method like this:
        public Boolean isUserAuthorized(){
            // some code here that will return true or false, hardcode to true for now
            return true;
    and the button disabled property like this:

                           disabled="#{backingBeanScope.Studybrowse.isUserAuthorized}"

  • IOS 6.1.3 WIFI button disable problem on iPhone4S - It is definitely a BUG

    Hi Apple Fans
    I have a full house of Apple products from iPhone -> iPAD -> iPod -> Mac -> AirPort, and I am suffering from WIFI button disable problem after upgrade to iOS 6.1.3, without any clue after calling Apple Support, factory reset and reload iPhone for more than 10 times.  I also try all tips on Apple Support Communicties except put it into a freezer, still no any luck.  Apple Support suggests that my iPhone may be factly!
    Tonight, I can get my WIFI back in below sequence:
    1. Switch to English language from Chinese
    2. Turn Cellular Data Option to off
    3. Reset Network Setting
    After the phone reset, the WIFI row show 'Not Connected', and I can select my home WIFI (Airport Express) without trouble.  To prove my finding is workable to all case, can you try the same and update here if it works for you?
    Good Luck!
    PS: I always believe it is a BUG.

    Hi,
    I sympathise with you as my iPhone 4s is 7 months old and is also greyed out.  I tried everthing except the potentially stupid one of putting the iphone in a freezer!  I took the phone back to the vendor who sent it away and repaired it.  But alas after a month it is greyed out again.  I have again returned to the vendor and he will repair it again.  I asked him how and he told me it is a software conflict and he has to spend around 9 hours downloading a patch repair.  Apple are aware of this issue and I feel completely let down because they have not posted a fix on the net.  Presently I am living and working in Dubai, back in the UK I am sure my iPhone would have been exchanged for a new one.  I need my iPhone for my work and cannot afford to just buy a new one so I have been let down and despite for years being a supporter of Apple and their products I shall think twice before investing in any more Apple products.

  • Trusted RFC and Remote logon not possible due to Nat'd IP addresses

    Hi,
    We are trying to connect our SolMan 4 to our cusotmers ECC 6 and BI7 systems, the systems are off site and the IP addresses for the customers systems are nat'd when they come in and go out from our Network.
    The problem we get is that we cannot set up Trusted systems or Remote Logon to these systems due to issues with the Nating of the IP adresses. We can set up all standard RFC's after adding the the appropriate addresses into the hosts file and they work fine. But the trusted RFC does not set up properly and the BACK rfc from the satelite system does not get set up properly. What appears to happen is that when you try to start a remote session SAP goes to the satelite system and finds the Instance Name and the local IP address rather than the NAT'd IP address and try's to open a session from there. I found this by going into the trusted RFC in SM59 and then going to Extra's, System Information, Target System, this then tells me the Target System information, where it shows the System ID and IP address (which is the incorrect IP address).
    Anyone know how we can get the system to try to have the correct IP adress in the target system information so that we can get Remote Logon's to work??
    Cheers

    Hi Carl,
    Based on your explanation about Nating,, how will the RFC determine to connect to Solmans internal IP after it has been directed to the IP for the Router connection.
    I feel it is like configuring a jump of RFCs from one IP to another in a single chain.
    Can this be done ?? I mean we have to specify an IP in the RFC connection right.. so how will the automatic jumping of IPs be done.
    Sorry not answering the question but its very interesting and wanted to know.
    Also went trough note # 148832, might help.
    Regards,
    Kaustubh.

    I have created a site with iWeb. I have replaced the iWeb Nav bar with a vertical one I made myself. Problem is, my top button disables itself (and the animation doesn't work) if it overlaps into the "hidden" nav bar area (indicated by a blue rectangle). I can cmd click and drag it into this area, but then all the rest of my site is pushed down the page. Don't know what to do about this. I don't know how to bring the rest of the page up without dragging it also into the designated nav bar area. Also, by doing this, is it affecting my site in ant way? see my site here at www.steveburrowsimages.com
    The home page is with it all draged into the nav bar area and the about page is with is outside the nav bar area (notice that the top button does not animate or work as a button.
    Getting confused here. Anyone got any ideas?

    Well, you made a good start with SEO by getting rid of the iWeb default navigation since it doesn't help the spiders and, out there in the real world, there are more people than you would think with javascript turned off in their browsers.
    One of the downsides of iWeb is that it doesn't allow for the alt attribute in the img tag. Its well worth adding these to give you extra keywords even if you have captioned all your images. Use iWeb SEO Tool for this...

    iWeb, just like most drag and drop software, creates a huge amount of code which causes the pages to load slowly in the browser. Running you files through an optimizer will help to reduce this problem and further reduce the size of image files even beyond the initial optimization you do before loading them into iWeb...

  • Remote logon through SM59, datbase operations in target system

    Hello,
                I am logging in remotely from sys1 to sys2. In sys2 there is a userexit
    which triggers during the sap login i.e EXIT_SAPLSUF_001, in this exit i have written a select query
    by which i will check a conditions ,depending on the condition it will display a popup.
    So when we login individually that select query works.
    But when login remotely from SM59 using RFC destination, it doesn;t work,
    No database operations are working(Insert, select...etc)..
    I am just wondering whether ...during the remote logon the database server will not connected yet/ initialized yet....
    It would be great if someone can help me on this..
    Thanks&Regards,
    AR

    There shouldn't be a problem with database, it's always up (if SAP is up).
    Are you sure it's a problem with the SELECT ?
    Can't it be a problem with the popup via RFC ? Because in SM59, if you enter a user which is neither dialog nor service, the popup won't be displayed (and a dump should occur if I remember well, check in ST22)
