Remote pannel control

hello ther,
I am a new to Labview.
Can any body please help me on remote pannel controling.
I have made a simple program.  Now all I want to do is I want to control that Vi remotly from another PC connected in LAN.
I have gone throught a pdf from NI's knowledge base and tried but I could not get the job done.
Waiting for reply

Dear  smercurio_fc,
Thankyou very much for your reply.
Please refer the link for the pdf I went through for remote pannel control.
http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4791/en
I have done all the settings described. And tried to access the VI remotely.  Please let me know if something more is to be done.
The VI  which I made was a simple one, just one numeric control connected to indicator.

I cannot get the embedded remote pannel to work on my server. It tells me 'server dose not support remote pannals.
I tryed a monitor in the web page but I have to click refreash to update the pannel. Its my understanding that it would update automatically.
I'm using Windows 2000. Please e-mail me with and help [email protected]

Are you sure that you're using the LabVIEW web server and not a different one? As I said in one of your other postings, have you tried to get everthing working locally first? From the Options menu of LabVIEW, enable the web server (Web Server: Configuration), select Allow Viewing and Controlling (Web Server: Browser Access) with a * in the access list, and select Allow Access (Web Server: Visible VIs) with *.*. Then open the VI you want to control remotely. From the Tools menu, select the Web Publishing Tool. For Viewing Options, select Embedded and then click the Save to Disk button. Save it locally to the LabVIEW 6.1\www folder. when the Document URL window pops up, click the Connect button. It will take a short time to download the panel and then you
should be able to request remote control. If something doesn't work, explain in detail when exactly you get any kind of error message and what it is.

  • How do I use an apple tv remote to control my mac

I am having a macbook pro with retina. How do I use an apple tv remote to control my mac?Is there a way. For eg. if I want to control the volume using the remote how do I do?

No, the iPad has no IR receiver. (I think you mean "Airplay" and not "Airdrop", by the way.)

  • Presence status not changed when using Lync 2010 Remote Call Control

    Hello,
I'm currently testing the Remote Call Control functionality of Lync 2010. Call management works fine but I'm surprised that my presence status does not change to "In a Call" when the call is established.
OriginatedEvent, DeliveredEvent and EstablishedEvent are forwarded correctly to Lync Client 2010. All responses are "200 OK".
Is there something more to send to Lync Server 2010 so the status of the Lync Client gets correctly updated to "In a Call" ? Or is a plugin for the Lync Client necessary to achieve this ?
    Thank you in advance,
    Martin

I think there's something missing from your scenario and I don't believe you would need a plugin for this.  It's been forever since I've set up RCC with Lync 2010 however.  I know this isn't what you're looking for, but I've used this product in
the past to configure Lync and RCC with third party PBXs that don't support Lync/RCC but do have a TAPI interface.
http://www.estos.com/products/drivers-middleware/callcontrolgateway400.html I've been able to get a free trial before and it worked like a charm for an old 3COM phone system.  If you can get a trial it might help you compare apples to apples provided
you have a TAPI driver for your PBX.
For more details on what happens behind the scenes, you might have some better luck in the MSDN dev forums:

  • Macbook air mid2012 can use the Remote Apple Control?

I want to know if a Macbook air mid2012 can work with the Remote Apple control. If so, how should I configure my macbook air to make it work?

No MacBook Airs can work with the Apple remote.  They do not have an IR sensor.
Apple are phasing the remote out.
If you have an iPhone, it can be set up to operate as a remote for your MBA.
There are 3rd party IR remote setups if having a remote is a must (say for training using Keynote).

  • Cannot check the box "only allowed paired or home sharing remotes to control itunes"

I cannot connect my home sharing so I go to Edit>Preferences>Devices>check box only allowed paired or home sharing remotes to control itunes> Then click OK. After that I go to see whether the box is checked or not and I found that it is not checked. I don't know how to deal with it because every time I check the box, it's unchecked so cannot check box only allowed paired or home sharing remotes to control itunes. Is this the problem that causes the home sharing problem?

Hmmm, sounds weird. If someone else has experienced this maybe they will jump in here, but if not, you can always call Nike+. Surprisingly they answer their phone quite quickly.
Anyway, here's my shot at it:
I will assume you have downloaded the Nano updater ( http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/ ).
I would eject and disconnect the Nano (perhaps restarting my computer) and close iTunes, then reopen iTunes, reconnect and see if the box is available.
Also check this page: http://www.apple.com/support/nikeplus/ also this page http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303933#faq9

  • Apple remote always controls itunes / frontrow

I just installed Snow Leopard and came to the conclusion that the 'Apple Remote' always controls itunes/frontrow/audio +/-. This is really annoying since I want to control thirdparty software like Plex Media center.
Is there a way to disable the remote for itunes and the audio? I already uninstalled frontrow, but that didn't help.

In order to control third-party software, you need third-party software! Check out Remote Buddy. This program allows you to configure your Apple Remote to work with other applications. Download the trial and see if it works for you. (Note: I haven't used this application, I just happen to know it exists.)

  • HT204492 my apple remote wont control the volume?? any ideas??

my apple remote wont control the volume in my itunes, any ideas??

Not via the Mac. I just hooked up a TV to mine via HDMI and it shows the It comes up with the volume logo on the screen with a line through it, when I select audio output via HDMI. If you select another audio output like internal speaker yo can change volume.

  • Remote Camera Control and astrophotography for Sony A7(X) and Sony A6000

Hello, Sony makes the best sensors, no doubt about it. Sony makes the best hybryd cameras, that's why i bought a Sony camera BUT ... Astrophotographers are deeply looking at Sony 's camera (especially A7S) because of their astrophotography capabilities but there is a HUGE problem : no software allow BULB mode command, which is very important for astrophotographers. Most of time, astrophotography is some thing like that : 30 pictures, 5 minutes exposure for each picture and we have to add dark frames, flat frames, offset frames and so on. So, if Sony makes a software like Remote Camera Control, why does Sony not include long exposure (over 30s) control in this software ? So come on Mr Sony, don't let Canon leading astrophotographers. Please, add long exposure in your softwares !! Many thanks considering my demand.

I'm going to add that this should be available for ANY alpha series camera that has a bulb mode function in manual control.   This includes ,for example, the a5100.

  • Can you use the apple remote to control tv programs?

Can you use the apple remote control like a tv remote to control tv programs & DVDs on the computer? Everything I've found about the Apple Remote talks about using it for products other than desktops. I watch some regular tv shows on my iMac & would like to be able to use a remote control.
    I have a built-in infrared receiver.
    Thanks!

You should be able to control DVD playback now with the Apple Remote. You may be able to get a bit of functionality with web sites by using Remote Buddy by using it as a virtual mouse and keyboard:
    http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/21872/remote-buddy
but you're not going to get anything close to the sort of functionality you'd get with a remote and a TV.
    Regards.

  • I've turned off home-sharing but remote still controls computer and itunes at the same time as the TV. What gives?!

I've turned off both home sharing and turned off the link from my computer to my remote via AppleTV but when I hit play on my remote to control appleTV, my itunes always opens and starts playing on my Macbook Pro. Has this happened to ahyone else? I cannot get it to stop. The only solution right now is to completely turn off my computer if I want to use appleTV.
    Thanks

default then remotes control all devices unless you bind it to a device you do that in settings
and home sharing don't have any impact on remotes

  • SUN Remote System Control software

I doubt this is the correct forum, however I cannot find a more suitable one.
Recently my Windows XP PC, refuses to allow the RSC software to work.
When I attempt to run RSC it displays the following message:
"*Remote System Control requires the Java Runtime Environment version 1.3.0 or later"*
My PC is running with Java version 1.6.0_14-b08, I have tried installing older versions of Java but it still fails to work.
Does anyone have any idea what I have missed here?
    Many thanks
    Neil

    Hello Neil,
    please review the following thread.
[Information regarding using the RSC 2.2.3 GUI on Windows with JRE > 1.5 |http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=830&threadID=5348513]
If your system is under system contract you can file a RFE (request for enhancement) or report a bug. At least choosing this check was not very clever (certain versions instead of the minimal required version) !
Maybe Sun argues that the windows binary rsc.exe was only tested with with JRE 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5.
