Remote start & shutdown WL6.0 in NT

Hi,
Is there any way to START and SHUTDOWN Weblogic Server 6.0 in a remote
NT system, suppose the NT system having weblogic 6.0 is in other location
inside a
firewall. can I START the server from a different location.
thanks
karmegam

Shutting down the server is easy as long as you can get to it via your
network:
java weblogic.Admin t3://hostname:port SHUTDOWN system password
As for starting the server remotely, you can probably use NT's rsh
capabilities to do this...
Hope this helps,
Robert

  • Still Can't Get Remote Starter Install Scheduled

On 11/24/14 I purchased a ViperRemote Start System4115V1B with installation as a Christmas gift for my mom. After giving the gift on Christmas, I attempted to schedule the install as soon as possible (living in Indiana, it gets awfully brutal during the winter.), but after attempting to schedule an install online I called the store, and was told that because the car installer only works part-time, I needed to call back in 2 weeks or take it to a store an hour away. I really wanted to get it installed as soon as possible, especially since I had already paid for the installation. As of today (1/9/15), I've still been unable to get an appointment scheduled at my local Best Buy, and all the locations in surrounding areas are still not taking appointments either and I'm incredibly frusterated.

    Hello sandman8288,
Living in Minnesota, I can totally empathize with you as to why remote starters can be such a blessing in the blistery winter months. They certainly make great gifts too! I am deeply sorry for the delay in receiving your installation.
The reasoning jdogg and autotech have provided you could very well explain why you have been unable to receive an install date up until this point. We typically see quite an influx of remote start installations after the holiday season as it is a popularly purchased item this time of year. To ensure these installs are done correctly, installers must have successfully passed required certifications to perform these installations. As mentioned above, this can sometimes affect scheduling.
I will be sending you a private message to get some more purchase information from you to see if I can assist you in setting up an installation appointment.
    We appreciate your business,

  • Remote start of managed server

    Hello everyone,
1: I am using Weblogic Application Server version 10.3.0 in development mode over Windows machines. I will use the word 'host' for the hardware machine to avoid confusion with Weblogic 'machine'.
2: The scenario is as follows :
: There are two hosts - Host-1 with IP 111.222.333.444 and Host-2 with IP 555.666.777.888
: A Weblogic domain was created on Host-1 with one managed server and one (Weblogic)machine. The admin. server runs on Host-1 at port 7001
         : The machine,say M1,was assigned the IP of the Host-2 i.e 555.666.777.888
: The managed server, say web-server,was targetted to M1 and will run on port 7005
: The steps like pack and unpack were carried successfully and the admin. server was started on Host-1 and web-server was started on Host-2(NOT REMOTELY).The node manager on Host-2 was started at default port 5556
3: OBJECTIVE is to remotely start/stop the web-server from Host-1 via a Windows Scheduled Task which will call the startManagedWebLogic.cmd in turn.
4: The issue that I am facing is via admin. server console(accessed on Host-1),I am able to start/stop the web-server(on Host-2) remotely. But as soon as I attempt to start it using a script,
    startManagedWebLogic.cmd web-server http://111.222.333.444:7001
    I get JVM_BIND issue

Actually, my message had a mistake in it. I had mentioned the port number as 7003 for the ManagedServerB. It should have been 6129.
Any solution to the problem ?

  • Remote start question

Does anyone make a remote start with a learning remote, or have remotes that have factory codes built in? I want to buy one for my 1998 Ford Escort wagon, and I figured if someone made one it would be a lot less wiring involved if the remote could learn the codes for the door lock/unlock, and trunk release. I understand that most units have these features but you have to wire the "brain" into the wiring harness for this to work. I'll be working outside on this, this car is a "beater", and I really don't want to take the time to wire those functions in if I can use the factory hardware and use a remote with the factory codes in it.
    Thanks,
    Snyde

    Hi snydley100,
I like the idea but I don't see anything like that that we currently carry. I'm hoping some of our Super Users that a more versed in Remote Starts will offer their thoughts. I will also check around to see if anyone's familiar with this. You might also want to stop in and talk to the install bay techs. They might have some ideas on this as well.
    Thank you,

  • Remote start arguments and nodemanager

    Hi,
if we provide the value '-ms96m -mx128m' for 'Arguments' under <domain>-Servers-<server>-Configuration-Remote
Start we get the following error:
<BaseProcessControl: saving process id of Weblogic Managed server 'condor-1',
    pid: 16388>
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Incompatible initial and maximum heap sizes specified
    Child exited
Without any arguments the server starts with the heap-configuration of the nodemanager.
How do we have to provide a different setting?
Btw. we had to change the startNodeManager.sh-script to get things running. Without
exporting CLASSPATH and PATH we were unable to start java with an ld.so.1-error.

  • Auto Start/Shutdown db on Linux (RHEL-4)

    Hello,
I have posted a thread in Database General forum :
Auto Start/Shutdown db on RHEL 4
and there one suggestation i got that i have to raise my problem here itself only.
Kindly look into the issue and help me.
    Thanks & Regards
    Girish Sharma

I see you start this service at sequence "99". This is good, but there are other 99-level startup scripts as well. These are processed in alphabetical order. Do this:
    $ ls /etc/rd5d.d/S99*
So, "dbora" will run even before rc.local and that may not be a good thing.
    Also, checking:
    $ ls /etc/rc5.d/K* | head -n15
will show you the order in which services are shut down, again in alphabetical order.
    These steps may help:
    # /sbin/chkconfig dbora off
    # /sbin/service dbora stop
    # cd /etc/init.d/
    # /sbin/chkconfig --del dbora
    # mv dbora xxx-dbora
    # vi xxx-dbora
    # /sbin/chkconfig --add xxx-dbora
    # /sbin/chkconfig xxx-dbora on
    # /sbin/service xxx-dbora start
    What we are doing is:
    1) Remove existing dbora service
    2) Rename the service to something that shows last in an ls(1) command
    3) Edit the xxx-dbora script to change the chkconfig info from "99 10" to "99 01"
    4) Installed the service.
Now, the start-up is done as the very last action and shutdown as the very first.
    Does this make any difference?

  • Remotely starting the CMS server using a SSH script in a Unix environment.

Is it possible to remotely start a CMS server using a shell script which starts an SSH session and runs the startservers command asin the command below:
    ssh -o ConnectionAttempts=2 -o ConnectTimeout=10 -l boadmin huxd0226 '/opt/BO/boxir2/bobje/startservers'
The command securely logs into the server (huxd0226) and runs the command described in single quotes.

This is exactly the same as a normal manual startup of the CMS server except it dies at the loading of the db2databasesubsystem section.
Business Objects is patched to Fix Pack 3.6 and is clustered in a HACMP environment. It is a requirement that when the DB2 database fails, shortly after restarting it can automatically start the Business Objects services remotely.
SSH will work if the command is entered manually from within a secured session, but it is only when automated that the failure occurs. Does anyone have an idea on why this is happening and whether it is in fact possible ?

we're going to run into deep offtopic if we continue that line ))
But I believe there is a big push to get the forum format actualy working this time.

  • Remote Start classpath

              Hi,
I have installed an admin server, a managed server and a node manager on a single
              machine. (btw, I'm using WLS7 sp2)
With the default config, the managed server starts and stops successfully from
the console. However, I need to specify a classpath for this server to locate
my log4j configuration file. I've used the "Class Path" field of the "Remote Start"
tab of my managed server. As soon as a classpath is specified, the managed server
doesn't start anymore, and I get the following log :
              29 juil. 03 12:22:01 CEST> <Info> <NodeManager@mymachine:5555> <Starting Server
              mydomain::managedserver ...>
              java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/Server
              Exception in thread "main"
              <29 juil. 03 12:22:02 CEST> <Info> <NodeManager@mymachine:5555> <Server mydomain::managedserver
              started, process id = 72 040>
              I've tried different formats for my classpath (c:\mydir, c:/mydir ...), but I
              always get the same error.
              Any clue?

The classpath from the console actually overrides the default classpath (I thought
              it was just appended).
              Adding weblogic.jar solved the problem.

  • Start/shutdown oracle automatically.

    Hi
I have installed oracle 9i in my mac ( Mac OS X 10.3.9 ) laptop. I would like start/shutdown oracle automatically.
How do I do that ?
Point to the place, where I can find more information on this.
    Thanks in advance
    -siva

    Hi Siva,
if you looked a bit closer you could have found the link to 'Autostart oracle' <http://homepage.mac.com/ik_zelf/oracle/Personal12.html> where you can find a complete working setup.
MacosX does not run the shutdown scripts so the database is terminated by a normal kill.

  • Remote Start installation question - Trying to understand

I just want to get auto start added to my 2012 Dodge Charger.    The dealer is asking for waaay to much for OEM remote start and install so I figure Best buy would be cheaper.  I see many products ranging from $199 to $600.  I plan to get either the Viper 4205V or the 4115V1B.  My question is, I literally just want autostart. I would like to still use my existing FOB to unlock my doors, pop my trunk, etc.  Sounds like when an aftermarket is installed "stuff" needs to be bypassed and you end up using the aftermarket lock/unlock, trunk open features rendering your current key fob useless.  Is this correct?
    1) Can you confirm with he viper units listed above, that I can get autostart installed on my car, and still use my existing key FOBs for all my basic funtion (lock/unlock, truck)?
    2) Also does the standard Geek Squad install come with the open hood auto kill feature, I seem to hear the most complaints about installers not installing this safety feature and not telling the buyer they dont install this.
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Yes my FOB  unlock/locks my door and pops trunk while car is running.
So bottom line is (as far as you know), there should be no reason the viper units I selected should not work with my car.  And I shouldn't need any special (expensive) add ons to get things to work properly and my original FOB should work as usual.
I just dont want to get something installed that keeps something else from working properly on my car when from having autostart installed.
    Thanks

  • (2) Vehicles - But want to have only ONE FOB for keyless entry and remote start

I have the following 2 vehicles:
2003 Dodge Durango RT with automatic transmission
    2006 Volvo V70R with 6-Speed manual transmission
I am looking to purchase a keyless entry / remote start on BOTH vehicles but use only (1) FOB to control both as I will only be using either vehicle at a time. If I need to use both, I will use 2 FOBs. Is there any current breand or system that can do this, like have switch and can be programmed for more than one vehicles ??? Thank you for any info and God Bless !!!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    VBVAGUY,
Best Buy has 2 brands that can control 2 cars. Viper and Compustar. You said you would like keyless and remotes start. Are these the only features you are looking for? Security? The system below is a Viper 1-way with around 2000 foot range that offers 2 car mode. They also have a 1 mile range and also a 2-way system. This is a nice feature if you don't have visibility to the vehicle, the remote will tell you if the car started.
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/viper-1-way-remote-start-system/6891137.p?id=1218810613502&skuId=6891137
With any of these system you are also going to need some additional parts and labor. Also because the Volvo has a manual transmission there is a certain sequence you must do every time you park the vehicle. If this is not done the remote start will not work. Doesn't effect the keyless entry.
Stop in a local Best Buy and speak to the AutoTech. They can educate you on the different model, feature and the manual transmission sequence.

  • Classpath entries in the "Remote Start"

Hi, could anyone provide an example about setting claspath entries in the "Remote Start" label on Windows?
Could this be something like this: %Env_Var1%;%Env_Var2%;C:\Program Files\Dir1\file1.jar;C:\Program Files\Dir2\file2.jar
I'm getting classpath errors at the managed server start time.
    Regards

Classpath entries for a mainfest file should be other jar file names.
Put them in the same or a sub directory as your main jar.
    See: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/deployment/jar/downman.html

  • Viper Remote Start woes

I had a 5706v installed about a year ago in my Excursion.  About a month ago it quit locking the doors but doing everything else.   Apparently the BB that installed in no longer has qualified techs so I now have to drive about another 30 mins to a different store.  They mentioned they were incredibly busy and the store that did the work originally was 'questionable' (their words, not mine).
So I set an appointment a week out and they resolve the locking issue. However, now the remote start doesn't work at all and just gives me an error.      At somepoint it is not only inconvienent but it's costing me money to drive my truck out there and leave it for hours and find a ride home and back.
What is the policy, is there X tries BB has before giving up?  If a technician is unable to perform the work properly, can it be outsouced to a installer that can do the work?

Remote starts are key for cold winters, and hot summer days, but to be without keyless entry also, well that is definately inconvinent!  The Best Buy that did the original installation, may not have the techs that are qualified to look at the remote start to properly diagnose the problem, but the other "busy" Best Buy should be able to assist you in this matter.  To be qualified troubleshoot isn't necessarily a qualification, it is more of a necessity to do this job.  I personally haven't had a shop that wasn't qualified to work on a troubleshoot especially for a remote start, but im sure there are some out there, and unfortunately you found it.  With that said, I am terribly sorry that you will have to make the trip up to that other busy store to get this worked on.  Have you tried replacing the batteries in the remote to eliminate a battery issue.  Just odd that the remote start worked fine for a year and then went out.  Batteries are usually the culprit, and alot of times cause intermittent issues with the functionality of the remote start or keyless entry.
If you have the viper 5706 your lcd screen will indicate that you are running low on battery if you look at your screen, but there is also a failsafe built in that will send a second "chirp" through your systems siren.  so you will lock the car, hear your first chirp, shortly after there will be another chirp that will occur, and send a message to your remote.  This indicates that the battery is low and needs to be charged with the supplied micro usb cable that came with the unit.
Part of our lifetime warranty means you can take this to any Best Buy in the country to have to work performed. The fact that the original shop doesn't have anyone qualified, is unfortunate, and the trip that you have to make because of this is also ashame.  I do apologize that you are having these problems, but if you hop on the schedule at the other store, im sure they will be able to assist you and get your remote start and keyless working again.  The good thing about remote starts is that if you are going to have a serious problem outside replacing an antenna, antenna cable, or batteries, there would be immediate malfunctions with the system.  Should be something small, is what im trying to tell you, but again without diagnosing it properly who knows?!
Again, i apologize for the troubles that this has caused, and if you have any follow up questions please don't hesitate to ask.  Thanks for posting with the community, and also thank you for your time and patience.
I am a CAR Geek Squad installer tech lead, but my views that i post are my own and not that of best buy. if you like my posts give me some kudos, if you need further help contact your local Geek Squad installation bay!
Please read my posts with a smile, cause thats how I write them.Although i have a cool avatar by my name, I am just a member of the community that works for Best Buy.

  • Viper remote start on 2014 Jeep JK

Will any of these two viper remote starts work with a 2014 automatic Jeep wrangler unlimited with manual doors and no alarm? Will I be able to install a viper invisibeam after the remote start is installed?
       1. Viper 4115V1D Remote Start System with Interface Module and Geek Squad® Installation

    2Viper - Remote Start System
    Model: 4115V1B
    SKU: 1625747
    thanks.

yes, as far as wranglers go that are automatic you will be able to have this installed in your vehicle,  you will need a few other parts with that purchase.  that kit that you are going to purchase, will have the bypass module that you will need to simulate a chip in the key, and do some other features if it is able to.  that kit will also come with the installation of the module (the dball2) and also the basic installation of the remote starter.  again this is just a basic remote start with 1500ft of range, and 1 remote.  a hood pin will also be necessary, but is only 9.99.  The last thing is that you will need to purchase a 10AWG amp kit also since there isn't a strong enough power source in your vehicle, so we will have to grab power from the battery to power the brain of the remote start. you will also need a 12.99 relay for your vehicle.
this one's grand total for the 4115v1d is $312.96 before tax.
the second remote starter does not come with the bypass module or the installation of the bypass module, so it will be a little more expensive.  it will still need the hood pin and the 34.99 10AWG amp kit, and the 12.99 relay.  with a grand total of 342.94.  personally if i were in your shoes i would just go with the first one because it has everything you need and is the exact same product but without the bypass module included and installation of that module.  also contact your local bby to get an exact quote, i know some shops don't use hood pins that we carry and use the one out of the box, so contact them and get a grand total.  thanks for asking the question and sorry it took so long to get back to you.  best of luck!

I apologize for the delay in responding. If you haven't already gotten your answer to the cost for the remote start parts and install I would recommend that you stop at your nearby Best Buy Install Bay and talk to the techs. They will be able to give you a definitive answer on cost. Thank you,
