Remote Supervisor Adapter 2 - RSA2 - RSAII - firmware

Where is the latest firmware for the TD100X - 4206?
Also many of us are running a hypervisor - can you please provide updates that boot off of a CD versus OS specific.

My TD100X RSA 2 module is complaining about that being a different platform.
Since Lenovo is selling the RSA 2 as their solution for Remote KVM and Lenovo should be posting and hosting the firmware and Lenovo should be the one providing the support.
Especially now that they are taking over the X series brand - it is even more clearly something lenovo needs to take over.
Please post the current/correct version of the Firmware for the RSA 2 card under each of the Thinkserver's respective download pages.

  • Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine Firmware Update for TD100

According to Lenovo document 54Y6198 I should be able to go to http://www-947.ibm.com/systems/support/oem/td100.html and download the firmware updates for the Remote Supervisor II Slimline adapter we purchased for our new Lenovo TD100 server (Model 6429-18U).  However, the problem is that NONE of the links work and NONE of the files can be downloaded all I get is a web page listing a 404 error (Not Found).
Naturally the adapter won't work without the proper firmware, please help!

Try now, it works. there have been some issues which are fixed.

  • 27: iMac Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter quits working post-firmware

I iMac Apple Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter suddenly quit working after I installed Apple's latest iMac display firmware update. This is an Intel Core i5; the monitor is an LG Flatron 24" Wide, and when it powers up it says "no video input" and goes into power-saving mode. No amount of replugging cables helps, but the monitor works fine on other computers.
The Displays control panel just shows one monitor, and clicking Detect Displays does nothing.
I suspect Apple's Display Firmware Update. My installer log shows the following, but the problem only happened today after the latest update:
    6/1/10 9:45 AM 27-inch iMac EFI Firmware Update 1.0
    6/1/10 9:45 AM 27-inch iMac Display Update 1.0
    6/4/10 11:47 AM 27-inch iMac SMC Firmware Update 1.0
    6/4/10 11:47 AM 27-inch iMac Display Update 1.0
    6/5/10 7:29 AM 27-inch iMac Display Update 1.0
I have automatic updates disabled, but after each update I would see more firmware updates ready, but caution leads me to never install more than one of these at a time, and then to wait a while to see if anything bad happens. The odd thing is that the Display Update 1.0 seems to have been installed three times in this course of events. Alas, there appears to be no way to uninstall a firmware update.
Here is the System Profiler Graphics/Displays output:
Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 4850
    Type: GPU
    Bus: PCIe
    PCIe Lane Width: x16
    VRAM (Total): 512 MB
    Vendor: ATI (0x1002)
    Device ID: 0x944a
    Revision ID: 0x0000
    ROM Revision: 113-B9110C-425
    EFI Driver Version: 01.00.383
    Displays:
    iMac:
    Resolution: 2560 x 1440
    Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)
    Main Display: Yes
    Mirror: Off
    Online: Yes
    Built-In: Yes
    Connection Type: DisplayPort
    Display Connector:
    Status: No Display Connected
It says the Mac sees no display connected, and the display gets no video signal. Since the adapter is an active device (it has powered electronics to convert DisplayPort signals to DVI signals) I suppose it could have just coincidentally died. But that seems unlikely given that the thing worked perfectly just before the last firmware update.
Does anybody have similar experience, or better yet, a fix?

Unfortunately the Apple Knowledge Base does not give much information about this update. Such has how to tell if it has been successfully installed. I suspect that because it keeps recurring in the install log that it has not been installed successfully as yet. Are you receiving this update through Software Update? Can you locate the installer for this update? It maybe located in Apps/Utilities.
Some firmware update installations can be interrupted/corrupted by attached devices. If you find the update's installer on your iMac, I suggest that you detach all external devices from the iMac, use an Apple USB keyboard & mouse if available, follow the instructions carefully and install the update manually. If you do not locate the installer I suggest downloading manually from the link below and installing it.
The Knowledge Base article mentions that your iMac should also have a Graphics Firmware Update. I suggest that you download and install that as well.

  • Thunderbolt and MDP to VGA Adapter Compatibility Issue?

    Hi Veterans,
I know this topic have been asked a lot of times by different people who faced the issue in different way. However, i am unable to find an absolute solution to the problem i am facing currently.
My question is, can a 3rd party made, Mini Display Port to VGA adapter works on MBP & iMac that have mini display port and not on those that have thunderbolt port??
I have a 3rd party made, Mini Display Port to VGA adapter that i have tried on 3 apple PC / laptop,
A MacBook (13-inch, Late 2009) which comes with Mini DispayPort, the adapter work with this laptop.
A iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2009) which comes with Mini Display Port, the adapter work with this PC too.
A MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011) which comes with Thunderbolt port, the adapter does not work with this laptop. I have tried many solutions i can find on this forum and none helped.
The software is fully up-to-date as of 30 April 2013, running Mac OS X 10.7.5 (Lion).
Tried safe mode, does not helped.
Tried the boot up when monitor is already switched on procedure, does not helped.
In all cases, it was tested on the same external monitor. As my MBP was dual-booted using Bootcamp assistant 4.0, i also tried in windows-mode (windows 7) which didn't work too. In windows mode, the screen just keeps flickering while in mac-mode i get a light blue screen. In both cases, the external monitor shows nothing. The external monitor is a Compaq FP7317 monitor with native resolution 1280 x 1024 at 75.0 Hz.
All these trying have leave me very perplexed. From my research, the thunderbolt port is suppose to accept devices meant for mini display port. So how could an adapter that work on mini display ports, not work on a thunderbolt port? Can any expert enlighten me?

Problem solved. I picked up the MDP to VGA adapter and was able to use the monitors native res of 1920x1200 but the flicker and wavyness made it impossible to use. And yes the adapter had the current firmware. But what I discovered in the process was that in mirror mode I am unable to drive the monitor at optimum resolution. With that in mind I tried the MDP to HDMI adapter again, unchecking mirror mode, moving the Finder bar to the external display and SHAZAM. I have a rock solid display external display now running at 1920x1200 : )

  • Thoroughly confused about supported resolutions using MDP to VGA adapter

I've read many posts on the topic and I still have no idea what is correct. Some people claim the max res for this adapter is 1600x1200 while others claim they are getting 1920x1200 with it. I have a 24" HP LCD that has VGA and HDMI as the input choices. HDMI limits the res to 1920x1080. Will this adapter run the HP @ 1920x1200 (native resolution) or will it limit it to 1600x1200 ? BTW this is being used on a late 2008 unibody MacBook. Thanks

  • TV not recognizing MDP to VGA adapter

    Hi,
I'm new to Macs and just bought my first about a week ago.  I tried to hook up my TV to my computer using the MDP to VGA adapter.  When I plug in the adapter the screen goes blue for a second just like it does when I hook it up with HDMI, but it doesn't go to the display.  My TV says nothing is connected and in the System Preferences, it says nothing about having a second monitor and there is no "Arrangement" tab under the diaplys.  Thanks!

  • Uploading Firmware Ops Sys Adm - Error encountered: The file could not be downloaded

Trying to upload the file using 8.6.2 of the CUCM Ops Sys Admin login.  I am using a remote SFTP.  I downloaded the firmware from the support section of the web.  File:  cmterm-7911_7906-sccp.8-5-2.cop.sgn
The Install/upgrade process finds the file then says..  Accessing the upgrade file, please wait
The Error Encounted: file could not be downloaded.  a
There must be a log file somewhere.  Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi
Well - in that case I would take the easy option :-)
When you download the firmware, download the zip version. It may say 'for CUCM 4.x' or something similar.
Basically unzip it, then upload each of the files in the zip to the TFTP server manually through OS admin and then restart TFTP from serviceability.
Then you can apply it to a test phone and update the device defaults page when you are ready.
That way you can try different versions of firmware without adding lots of non-removable references to cop.sgn files to the system's installed options list.

  • Wireless Ethernet adapter configuration

My house just went wireless with netgear wireless router. My iMac G4 requires the original AIRPORT card. Have decided to go with external ethernet wireless adapter. Only one the store had was Belkin F5D7330 802.11g.
Can't seem to set the right configuration to get it talking to the netgear router. The wizard cd that came with it is only for pc configuration. Can you take me through it step by step?
    iMac 15 " 800 mHz G4   Mac OS X (10.3.2)

problem solved - had to reconfigure the router down to 128 encryption, set the adapter up - download new firmware for adapter - then go back to 256 encryption
ethernet wireless adapter works great - surprised there wasn't more info about it on the web to solve the iMac problem of going wireless.

  • Updated iPod now I have to plug into wall with adapter?

    Hi,
New to this board and hoping someone can help.
Downloaded the iPod Updater last night and now my iPod is asking me to plug it into an external power source using an adapter. Why? I don't have an adapter. (I know I can buy one but I don't see why I should have to in order to complete the update). Looks like I can't use the iPod until I do so because the power adapter/wall plug icon always shows when I try to turn on the iPod.
    Am I missing something here?
    IBM   Windows XP

1st Gen minis required a connection to the power adapter to complete the Firmware update. AC adapters were provided in the box with all 1st Gen minis. 2nd Gen minis do not need this step.
You'll need to find an adapter to complete the process. Sometimes an auto DC charger can also work.
No way around this requirement for the 1st Gen mini (and some earlier iPods as well).

  • IPod Update 5tg Gen-Is it needed AC adapter?

    My question is :
Is it needed AC adapter to update iPod Firmware as like with iPod 4th Gen & Mini's?
I mean my iTunes offer me to update my firmware but with my old iPod Photo i need AC adapter after update, now i don't have AC and i am embarassed to do the update.
One my friend tell me that the new one 5G don't need AC after upgrade is that true?
i have onlu USB 2.0 Cabel

While they are useful to have around, unless you run into problems, under normal circumstances you don't require an adapter to update the 5G iPod.

  • Remote silent monitoring

Iam having ICM 5.0 I have a requirement to have my remote supervisor who is sitting in an different country and connect through a IPLC circuit to monitor the local agents we also need to have silent monitoring enabled. Is it possible to have a remote user to listen the calls on a ICM server accross WAN?

    Andy,
Silent Monitor for IPCC is not the same as Remote Silent Monitor.
Remote silent Monitor allows a supervisor in a remote location use a PSTN phone, dial into a IVR and initiate a Monitoring session to an agent.
Silent Monitor for IPCC - supervisor needs to be in front of a desktop and initiate a monitoring session by clicking a Monitor icon on the desktop. voice packets are played on the multimedia speakers on the supervisor PC.
Remote Silent Monitor is offered on the IPCC Express Product currently. It is not offered for IPCC Enterprise and IPCC Hosted Editions.

  • WPC300N lost connection to WRT150N after router firmware update

This is my second WRT150N in a week: out of the box it worked great, and then I updated the firmware to 1.01.9 (which is basically the same) and now my laptop WPC300N adapter can't connect to the WRT150N router! Anyone know how I can fix this? Set up: DSL modem connected to WRT150N WRT150N connected to desktop by wire. Laptop with WPC300N connect to router wirelessly. Thanks!

Yes I did updates on both router and adapter, but the original firmware on the router was basically the same as the one posted on Linksys web site (which I downloaded and used to updated it). On the first router that I bought, I followed the CD instructions and did the firmware update right away, and ran into the exact same problem. I did not have a chance to test to see if would work out-of-the-box. Now, the adapter just sits there with the "Act" light blinking regularly.

Is it possible to apply ssl to remote gateway port adapter?
we have setup remote gateway and IIS on one machine.

  • How to make Vonage wireless?

    Hi all,
I have a configuration question that I'm hoping some of you can help me with. My cable modem access point is in a room that does not have any phone outlet. I currently have the cable modem plugged into an AirPort Express as a base station which then has an AirPort Extreme acting as a relay station. Plugged into the USB port on the Extreme is a LaserJet printer.
Is it possible to have an additional AirPort Express positioned in a room where we wish to have the phone and Vonage and use Vonage wireless?
    Thanks for any help.
    Ed

Ed, after much testing I have some good results. Let me be thorough here so you know what I did. My den is on one side of the house and my Tivo is on the other side. It is too long of a distance for 2 base stations. How did I realize this. Well for starters the units did not sync up properly. they would work then stop.
Apple has this really nice utility program that they do not want you to have or else they would make it available. Its called Airport Management Utility. It was a pain in the *** to acquire but I found it. This helps you analyze in real time the reception of your base station. You need to have a -70 to -80 signal to be right on the money. So here is my setup: DEN: Comcast cable -> Cable Modem ->Router -> Airport Extreme -> Dr. Bott Antenna-> Signal travels to the Kitchen: Airport Express setup as a Relay-> Signal travels to the Living room: Airport Express setup as a remote -> Vonage adapter via ethernet cable. Some setting that I tried and eliminated the choppiness:
Set the ethernet radio to 802.11/g only
Set the Multicast rate to 1
Set up a proper WDS network
Make sure your firmware is 5.6 on the extreme & 6.2 on the express.
Tip: when you make changes, start with the furthest unit then work your way back to the base station.
This working for me as of last night and this morning. People say the voice is dead on. You know we are not talking a lot of bandwidth here, these thing should do it flawlessly. I'll report back if this goes back to it old ways.
Hope this helps!! Enjoy your wireless vonage.
