Remote system CCMS segment not in local segments

Hi,
I have configured CCMS agents before but this one is puzzling.
- downloaded latest CCMS agents sar file for PI systems
- I have created the csmconf file and placed in the right locations.
- i started the CCMS agent for PI systems from Visual Admin and it found the csmconf file, i provided the passwords and it started but the segment name is not in "local segments" in RZ21 in SOlMan (Monitoring: Display technical topology) and therefore i am limited to what i can see in RZ20.
- i unregistered the agent and started it at OS level with the -j2ee option and gave the passwords and it still did not come under "local segments".
- the PI systems have remote Databases from which i started the CCMS agents and they do appear under "local segments" and can see them in RZ20.
- their respective CCMS agent are visible under the PI system's RZ21 "local segments" but as far as i remember from the OS level i did not configure it to register itself with PI itself but only with the CEN which is SolMan.
in my other solman systems the remote PI CCMS agents and amongst others are all under "local segments" and they all visible in RZ20.
I want to register the agents for the PI systems so that they appear under the "local segments" tab in solman and i can carry out my monitoring but they do not.
has anyone else had this problem?

Hi Mohan,
Since the slowness of displaying mouse movement and input from Keyboard does happen to multiple systems, seems like poor performance to me.
You may improve performance by increasing network bandwidth, reducing workload on the Terminal Server, updating video and network card drivers.

Remote system JSP project not working in eclipse

I am developing a JSP project. My files are on a remote server and I want to configure it in Eclipse 3.3 with Lomboz. The problem is After adding the project it gives a warning that xml files can't be validated.The exact warning is
The file cannot be validated as the XML Schema "\192.168.1.10\gunjan_share\workspace\Project1\WebContent\WEB-INF\web.xml (The system cannot find the path specified)" that is specified as describing the syntax of the file cannot be located.
Due to this error JSP pages are not getting compiled.

You need to either adapt your code to remove the scriptlets in your JSP page,
or you can use the following Java option to disable OJSP:
-Dadfvdt.disableOjspDeployment=true
You can add this option -Dadfvdt.disableOjspDeployment=true in your file "ide.conf" in the directory "<Middleware_Home>\jdeveloper\ide\bin"
For your Production environment, you can have your Managed WLS ignoring the OJSP mode by adding the Java Option -Dadfvdt.disableOjspDeployment=true
* in the "startManagedWebLogic" (if you want to limit it to a specific Managed Server)
* or "setDomainEnv" (for all managed servers in a domain).

FPGA Compile error on remote compile worker - but not on local!?

When i compile using Rebuild for building my VI to FPGA on NI cRio-9082 I get this:
Then I kill the compile worker on the develop machine, to use remote compile worker.

Should the timing constrains not be the same?

Brad and I took a closer look at the Xilinx log and we see a line printed that will hopefully help us narrow down the problem. Immediately after completion of the Analysis phase the log has the following line recorded:
*** glibc detected *** /usr/local/natinst/NIFPGA/programs/xilinx13_4/ISE/bin/lin/unwrapped/trce: double free or corruption (!prev): 0x09fd05e0 **
It seems there is a problem with the linux worker attempting to free the same memory twice which may be causing the compiler to exit during the mapping phase. We have a few more questions and would like to take a closer look into things for you.
1. Will any other designs compile succesfully on this linux worker (even very basic VIs)?
2. If other designs compile, will a simpler version of this design still fail consistently?
3. If the failed compilation seems to be design specific, would you be willing to provide your design for us to try and reproduce the failure?

Remote system monitoring entry- data not relayed to Central system

Hello Folks,
I am trying to establish a central monitoring system for our client. I am trying to test it in the DEV environment first.
The central system is a Solution manager system (Dual stack- ABAPJAVA). I am trying to bring in monitoring data from the ECC development environment (ABAPJAVA).
First of, i created to RFC connections in Solution manager system, one for data collection and the other for analysis. I have maintained the host address of the ECC system as target.
Then i have created a remote system entry in Transaction RZ21--> technical infrastructure entered the 2 RFC names and have executed the function.
At this point i am only trying to bring in ABAP stack monitoring data form the ECC system so i have not generated the CSNCONF file.
Now when i look in Solution manager RZ20-->CCMS monitoring templates, i can't see any data for the the ECC system.
I guess i am doing something wrong. Am i looking in the wrong monitor set?
As additional information: Solution manager (SMD) and ECC (ECD) use different transport domains / transport groups. I dont know if this makes a difference.

if I understand correctly your system shows only MTEs from R/3 Stack, not from the OS side, pls check your SAPOSCOL. Are the data in OS06 in your remote system correct and do you see the current data, refredhed all 10 seconds?
To check your environment, pls do the following:
in th efirst step check in RZ21 > in the Topology part the System Overview for your system connection to your back end system. Are the Read Destination Data RFC and the Destination Analysis RFC correct and works the authority chek fine?
In the second step pls check in RZ21 > in the Agents for Remotey SAP Systems part; are there registered your remote ccms agents correctly and works the connection test.
Stop the agents and in your RZ20 monitor pls enter STAT in your command field. Are there displayed for your MTE nodes the read RFC destinations?
Start the agents and and in your RZ20 monitor pls enter STAT in your command field. Are there displayed for your MTE nodes the CCMS Agent RFC destinations?
To rebuild the Monitor in the CEN system you could try to reset the node of your remote system in the warm up status > go in the remote system to RZ1 > go to local segments > change to edit > select your segments > reset segment in "WARMUP" status.
In the CEN system you coul try to go to the edit mode for the Agents for Remot SAP Systems > select your remote system and push the button Reinitialize Agents
In the back end system you can try to delete all MTEs in RZ21 > menu Technical Infrastructure > Reorgenize Segment Table > select the options with "ALL" in the CEN and the remote system to reorgenize all data.
Could you pls post for the missing MTEs a screenshot on the one side from the CEN system and on the other side from the remote system...
and last but not least you could try the following for missing OS MTEs
delete ALALERTS, ALMTTREE and ALPERFHI in /usr/sap/ccms/<SID>_<SNR> and check in the agents folder all trace and log files for errors.

MAX does not show Remote System tab in tree

Hi dear all,
i have installed LabView 2010 and along that MAX 4.7.7 on my Laptop Visat OS. Problem that i am facing is that my MAX tree "Remote System" Tab is not visible. Only My System tab is visible and its showing all installed software and devices correctly.
1. What settings i need to check to get this tab shown in tree?
2. Do i need to install some other software or patches or re-install what softwares?
3. Why is it happening to me?

Hello Awais,
There are a few places that indicate the Real-Time Module has been succesfully installed. I am attaching screenshots of the following locations that indicate that this is the case:
-'Remote Systems' under Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)
-NI License Manager
-LabVIEW splash screen
If the Real-Time module/option appears in the locations listed above, there should be no reason for you to have to uninstall or re-install your software. If there are other indicators such as error messages or the module does not appear in these locations, please attach screenshots and a detailed description. We can then discuss if uninstalling or reinstalling the software is the next best option.

Syndicating based on Addition of a Remote System Key

Hi
We have a distributed system syndication scenario where we need to syndicate a record automatically when a remote system key is added to an existing harmonized record in MDM. By adding the Remote System Key, it essentially means the remote system is 'subscribing' to the new harmonized record.
Is there any way to fire off a syndication event when a new remote system key is added to a record? It seems that MDM currently only flags a record as ready to be syndicated when a value changes in one of the fields of that record - it doesn't seem to identify the addition of a new system key to the record as a change to the record.

Thanks for the reply. The current view is that we were going to add it manually as a remote system key mapping, as the material record would already exist and would have been harmonized in mdm - so no need to add it through an import map. The scenario is that the master record already exists and another system wishes to also receive this record. Any thoughts on what options do we have if we go this approach?
Also, is their anyway to indicate if a remote system key is added for a new system to an existing mdm material, to indicate when syndicating that the record being sent is a 'Create' record - and hence only to syndicate it to the new remote system added and not to the other systems which also have remote key's against that record?

Regarding fieldpoint, why doesn't cFP show up under remote systems

We have a cFP2000 that was configured on another computer last year which is now being tranferred to a different computer. Currently I am trying to install fieldpoint. Under remote systems, I do not see the cFPsystem device. When I right click remote systmes, I click on fieldpoint but I do not know the IP address to continue further. Is it possible that the switches on the Fieldpoint may be set wrong, such as the safe mode...or that the ethernet wiring may be wrong, although I am pretty sure this is okay...

I'm assuming you're connecting your computer and the cFP-2000 directly, is that correct? If so, please make sure the settings and cable requirement in the following article are met:
Connecting a Fieldpoint Controller Directly to an Ethernet Card
You may want to reset the IP address of your controller (by setting the reset dip switch to on, power cycle the controller, flip switch back to off position, then power on system). You should then see the controller with an IP address of 0.0.0.0.

CCMS monitoring a remote server on a ditributed system that is not an R3 in

CCMS monitoring of a remote server using RFC-SAPOSCOL on a distributed system that is not an R3 install but just an DB server. Has anyone any idea how to set this up? I've read SAP note that refer to it and where to download the files but nothing on how to set it up.
Sorry to make that clear we have a distributed system with a SAP CI on one server and a SQL DB on the other. I would like to monitor the os through CCMS on the DB server.

Not able to access javaFx charts from a remote system after using ext. jars

We are facing following issue. Any recommendations to resolve these issues are highly appreciated.
1. Not able to access javaFx charts from a remote system (More details at the end of mail).This is high priority requirement as we have a web based reporting application and users access it over our static IP address.
We are using Java Fx charts in our web application where we built jnlp and jar files in a separate fx project and kept jar and jnlps inside our web project.
It is working fine when we did not used any external jar files and remotely it is accessible. But when we used external jars our project is running on local
system but remotely it is not working due to some path settings. We modified jnlp files where entry of jar files exists and modified the jar path as per our
project. But still it did not work.
Before using external jars inside our java fx project my jnlp looks like:

Farm Remote App 2012 R : Your system administrator does not allow the use of default credentials to log on to Work Resources

I have a Farm with 3 servers W2012R2 in a Domain

2 DNS Alias : - poc.mydomain.local (Use for the RD Web Access and points to Server1
                  -poccb.mydomain.local (Use for the Connection Broker and points to Server1)
I have setup the Connection broker in HA with Server2 as Passive Server : DNS Round Robin poccb.mydomain.local (Server1)
The certificate Manager has generated 2 CA certificates :
- 1 for the RD Web Acc (poc.mydomain.local
-1 for Connection Broker SSO and for publishing
I have created 1 Group Policy for these 3 servers and 1 GP for my client Windows 7 SP1.
Server GPO :
Computer/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Remote Desktop Services/Remote Desktop Session Host/Security
Always prompt for password upon connection=Disabled
Require use of specific security layer for remote (RDP) connections : SSL (TLS 1.0)
Set client connection encryption level : High Level
Client GPO
Computer/Administrative Templates/System/Credentials Delegation = Allow delegating default credentials (Concatenate OS defaults with input above)

I use no Gateway and in my collection,I have activated SSL (Like in my Server GPO)
I have now problem with SSO.
Connection with remote desktop client with server name = poccb.mydomain.local
Your system administrator does not allow you the use of default credentials to log on to the remote computer poccb.mydomain.local because its identity is not fully verified
If in my client GPO I add the physical name of the 3 servers, it works :
TERMSRV/Server1
TERMSRV/Server2
TERMSRV/Server3
Open RDP Files with server name = poccb.mydomain.local
if my connection broker connects me on Server1 , no problem
But If I arrive on Server2 & Server 3=
Your system administrator does not allow the use of default credentials to log on to Work Resources
I have searched on internet. No result for " to log on to Work Resources"

Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Firstly check that, your user is using domain\username to enter the credential in the dialog box.
Now for a try, you can edit .rdp file with notepad and just place “enablecredsspsupport:i:0” line in it, save it an launch to check whether you are facing same issue.
As you are using windows 7 then upgrade to RDP 8.1. Also as you have already enter the FQDN name of server under “Allow delegating default credentials”. For a try please enable and configure for all the remaining settings as follow and check the result.
Start / Run / gpedit.msc / Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / System / Credentials Delegation, and make sure you have the following four options enabled and configured:
Allow Delegating Default Credentials with NTLM-only Server Authentication
Allow Delegating Default Credentials
Allow Delegating Saved Credentials
Allow Delegating Saved Credentials with NTLM-only Server Authentication
Finally, open a command prompt and use “gpupdate /force” command to apply the policy directly.

Pictures to remote users but not to local users

We use iChat a LOT to send pictures- I have employees working remotely, and we routinely pase screen shots, via clipboard, to iChat. This is a wonderful thing.
But you know what? It will not work locally: anyone here in the office cannot receive or send pictures. The message that we get: 'AIM error. An AIM error has occurred. Unable to talk directly to your buddy'.
I don't know what kind of info about our system to post here that would be important to help out, but I'll try. We have a small LAN of 6 computers. We access the internet through a NetGear Router, which, incidently, is fairly heavily configured so that I can access any of my computers remotely via Timbuktu, and for other reasons and servers.
This almost seems like a port-related issue, except that sending pictures to an address outside the LAN is smooth and clean.
Ideas?

Hi Michael,
As far as I am aware the Bonjour side should be able to send file.
Bonjour uses different ports to the AIM side of iChat
You will need to make sure the ports 5297, 5298 and 5353 are open in the MAc Firewall if it is on and in the modem.
All need the UDP protocol and 5298needs TCP as in the places where it is specified.

Create DB link between my local system and remote system

Hi,
I need help to create DB link between my local system Database and remote system database both the database are oracle.
Please check the script which i have written is correct or not. Its giving me error sql command not ended properly

I fixed that issue. Now i am creating the DB link this ways please check is this proper or not
create or replace database link meru_prod_local_prod connect to portal identified by Oracle!123 using 'MERUPROD';

Password : Oracle!123
MERUPROD is the tnsora entry
It gives error as

We are unable to get PO text in created IDOC , While creation of PO system generated Outbound idoc, but system was not transferred the PO text,
when we cross checked
E1EDKT1
E1EDKT2
These segments not displayed in EDIDC, Check below screen i,e the PO text not transferred through IDOC

We have Created PO and Entered Header text (In Header of the PO) and, Material Text copied from Material master to PO Item level texts.( See Below screen shots
After Save of PO , system Generated IDOC without these texts, How to get these texts in Idoc,
As we know these (E1EDKT1, E1EDKT2) segments not available in EDIDC, as per screen shot. i,e the reason these text not Transferred through Outbound Idoc.
PO Text are not possible to transfer through Idoc, How to transfer these Texts through idoc.

Backupeventlog not working for remote system in PowerShell

I have the following code snippet that works if I specify localhost or the name of the local computer, but does not work if set to a remote server. I am running the script as Administrator using my Domain Admin account. Both local and remote systems
are Windows Server 2012 and in the same domain. PowerShell version = 3.0.

After spending some more time troubleshooting this and doing some more research I found the link below. I found it strange the hoops the author went through to handle event logs on remote systems until I realized that the path for "backupeventlog"
is relative to the remote system, not the system running the script. So I checked the other systems and found that the event log backups had been created. This would explain the returnvalue of 80. What's worse is that the path for "backupeventlog"
can't be a UNC -- I tried, it didn't work.

I decided to re-read Microsoft's documentation and found the magical text that I had over-looked:

In addition, you must make backups to the local computer; you cannot save a backup of the event logs on Computer A to Computer B. Backups are implemented by using the LocalSystem account, which does not have the network credentials necessary to access remote
