Removal of Credit Card

I cannot remove my credit card in the payment details section. It always give me an error message. Please fix it or tell me what I can do. Thanks.

I am having the same problem. When I to remove a stored credit card from the Skype app I get an error indicating I am not connected to the internet even tho I am. When I try to do it from the website I get an error saying that Skype is not available on my device, even tho I am on the internet with my PC.
Why the hell wont they fix this problem? I dont want Skype storing my CC info anymore, but they seem determined to do so. No response from the company either after complaints of this for over a week. What kind of Mickey mouse operation are they running over there.
If this doesnt get fixed or I dont get a response by tomorrow I am gonna call Skype out on the tech blogs for comprimising my private payment information

All downloads from iTunes are tied to the account that downloaded it, you can't re-download content via a different account. You checked the spam folder on yourr old account as well as the Inbox, and depending upon how long ago you did it, have you retried getting it reset : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password' ?

I can't download any apps now because it says I need to update my billing information (doesn't matter if the app are free or I have to pay for it), and when I try to do that, this error message comes up: "Debit Card can not be used. The information isn't on their iPhones, the information is stored in your iTunes account on Apple's servers. If you sign out of your iTunes account on their iPhones in the store apps; iTunes, App Store, iBooks, etc and out of Settings/iTunes and App Store, then no one should be able to access your account from the phones as long as they do not know your Apple ID and password.

You seem to have the same problem I had. Lots of people gave me the same answers as you got but I found a solution on my own. What happens when you try to purchase something on itunes and your card is declined is your account is frozen until it is paid. For some reason itunes doesn't just simply cancel the order, so what I did was went to a store and bought an itunes card to shut it up and unfreeze my account then removed my card. Apple has designed their store absolutely horribly in order to force their customers to sink countless amounts of money into their store.

On your iPad tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "by phone". If you mean that you want to change your iTunes Store account settings from your iPhone, see:

I had set up two step verification and through every fault of my own, i lost, misplaced, hid, and or burned the recovery key while at the same time forgetting which of the 10,000 passwords i commonly use. No i can not guess the Pass word and no there is no way to unlock the account. I just need to know if there is a way to remove my Credit Card that I used with the account. No other party can take over your account - that's the point of 2-step verification. However as you have lost both the recovery key and the password, neither can you. You are now permanently unable to access appleid.apple.com, or to access the account on any new device. However if you had set it up to remember the devices you have you may be able to remove the credit card - I'm not sure about this. Try going to the iTunes Store in iTunes; click your name in the toolbar and choose 'My Account'. Click 'Edit' next to 'Payment details' and if you can get this far you will be able to choose 'None' as your payment option. However you will not be able to make purchases.
If you can't remove the credit card it doesn't really matter because neither you nor anyone else will ever be able to make purchases on the account again, ever.

From your Itunes go to ( top left) click Store tab / view account / enter your account mail and password.
A window will show your ( Apple ID summary ) Go in payment information and you casn edit it from there.

On the navigation bar, click on “Sign in”.
After logging in click on the arrow right beside your email address, and select “Account”.
Click on the “Edit Payment Information Button”.
You can now set the Credit Card option to “None”.

You definitely can.
To remove your payment information open iTunes and go into your account. An easy way to access your account is from quick links on the store home page. After you login there will be a payment type listed with an edit button next to it. Click edit then select none under card type (next to visa, mastercard, etc).
Afterwards at the bottom of the page select done, then your card will no longer be on file. It will prompt you for a card next time you try to download something that isn't free.

There is no button to choose NONE for the payment so now I can't remove a credit card from my account.

Log into your account and manage the payment methods, this is done via iTunes on a computer.
Debit cards are not acceptable forms of payment.
