Removal of the the Browse button at the lower right corner.

Just would like to send out a request for apple to update the new iTunes 8.0 by re-adding the "Browse" button at the lower right hand corner, along side of the new genius button. I found the feature in the drop down view section on the top bar, but I'm sure users will be lost and have a hard time finding it.

You can also use a keyboard command to open and close the browser. Hold down the Command and B keys together.

That's the only way I know of and I couldn't find anything on the net that there is a problem with clearing the history and removing cookies.

Is there any way of removing the browser buttons from the right click menu?

Recently when I right-click on a web page, there are browser buttons (forward, backward, refresh, bookmarks) on the right-click menu for some inexplicable reason. I mean, its kind of absurd that anyone would put browser buttons there, considering the real browser buttons literally right there at the top of the window, and I guess that kinda bugs me.
Anyway, how did I get rid of them? There doesn't seem to be any way to do so in the customize window, and I've been looking for an add-on but don't really know what to search for. Does anyone know?
Where did those come from anyway? They weren't there a week ago, and I'm pretty sure these things don't normally just pop up out of nowhere. If nobody knows, its really not important. The important thing is getting rid of them. Thanks!

That was a new feature in Firefox 32, which was released back in September. Use this UserStyle to get rid of those buttons and restore the text menu items.

What can i do to regain the function of the close browser button?

after using firefox for a number of weeks without problems, today the close browser button is not functioning! (white cross on red ground) The only way to close the browser is by using the task manager end task. This is a simple problem but what can I do to fix it? I have tried updating but not reinstalling.I dont have any more details I am afraid, the button just doesnt work. I dont think it is a problem with my computer cos for example 'word' closes as expected. Likewise Internet Ezplorer. More than that I do not have any idea why this is happening.

That is Close the Window button, not close the browser, and with Firefox that makes a difference because of subtasks.
The following may not completely eliminate having to terminate Firefox through the Windows Task Manager but it will come very close.

If it has a cloud icon it means its no longer on your device. Tapping on the cloud will effectively reinstall the App from scratch to your device.
There is no way to remove it from the cloud because its not yours to remove from there. Its the general App repository, you are just given access to it to download content you've already purchased.

How to force the File Path Control Browser button to the RT Target instead of the host machine?

I am building an application on a RT PXI system, and for one of the functions I would like the user to be able to use the browser button of the File Path Control to choose a directory on the PXI. However the browser button seems to only want open a file on the host PC, even though the application is fully deployed on the target. Note that I am controlling the PXI from a host PC.
If anyone has any suggestions that would be great. Thanks.

Unfortunately, there is not a VI to do this. Are you browsing to these files from your host VI? In order to access the files on your PXI RT target, you'll need to FTP in and browse to them that way. You could programmatically do this, but there is not a simple VI to do so.

Sorry to hear you are having a similar problem. Last night I went to the tool bar at the top of iphoto, clicked on "File", then clicked "Browse Backups" in the drop down menu.    I have an external hard drive that is set up to Time Machine.   The Browse Backups opened the iphoto pages in the Time Machine. I selected a date one day ahead of the day I performed the now infamous update, and it showed my iphoto library as it had existed that day.   I then clicked "Restore Library" at the bottom right corner of the Time Machine screen.   Roughly 2 hours later my iphoto was back to normal.   When I opened iphoto there was a message saying I need to upgrade my program to be compatible with the new version of iphoto(version 9.2.1). I clicked "Upgrade" and within seconds it had done whatever upgrading it needed to do.
The only glitch in the restoration was that it restored the library as it appeared last week, so I no longer had photos I had imported this past weekend.   I simply went back to the Browse Backups in the drop down menu, when Time Machine opened I selected the page showing my pictures from this weekend and again said to Restore Library.   Roughly 45 minutes later the library was restored including the most recent photos.
I am now a happy camper.
I don't know if any of this will be of help to you because your email says you are having trouble with photos imported after the upgrade was performed.   Have you had any pop up notices when you first open iphoto, that tell you you need an upgrade to be compatible with the new iphoto?     If so have you clicked "upgrade"?

You have not mentioned if you are using standard planning book or custom book. If it is a standard planning book provided by SAP you cannot make any changes to it . But if it is a custom book then all you have to do is , go to /n/sapapo/sdp94 bring up the planning book , go to design , select toolbar and remove the icon that you dont need and save .

Is there a way to remove or disable the "Clear List" button in the downloads list? I like to _keep_ my list populated with what I've downloaded but occasionally end up with it getting clicked on accident and lose the whole thing. Given that "Tools > Clear Recent History" dialog can accomplish the same thing I find Clear List to be irritating. So can I get rid of it in any way?

Need Browse button on the PeopleSoft Page to select destination path

Basically iam working with dowloading the resumes from peoplesoft tables on to the user local machine. For this i need to put a browse button on the page so that the user can select the output directory path (e.g D:\Temp\Resumes\).
I already tested to download the resume using GetAttachment function which gets written to my ftp file server. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think you need to use DetachAttachment instead of GetAttachment. From PeopleBooks:
Use the DetachAttachment function to enable a user to make a copy of an attached file on their local client system. The file is sent to the browser with appropriate HTTP headers to cause the browser to display a save dialog box to the user.

Tap on the Pages icon at the bottom right (two squares). There you have the Private button.

In some windows, seems more likely after a crash recovery (but not sure there's a connection), Firefox puts the New Tab "+" button to the left of my tabs instead of the right. This is annoying, because once you're used to clicking it to the right of your open tabs, it's confusing to sometimes find it to the left.
If I go into Customize mode, it still shows the "+" tab on the right, but as soon as I close Customize, it's really still there on the left edge of the screen.
Why does this happen and can I stop it? I have seen no reports of this problem posted by others, but it's been happening for me since at least Version 12 and not fixed by version 13.0.1.

This may be related to session restore.

Hiding the "Manage Substitution" button in the UWL IView

I am trying to hide the "Manage Substitution" button in the UWL IView but I can not figure it out. I have tried looking at all of the documentation I can find and none of it describes how to hide the button. Can anyone help me out?

Manage Substitution button you see is an Action triggered by UWL. Action name is "launchSubstitutionManager".
If you want to remove total support for substitution, set the IView Property "Display substituted user selector" (in PCD content) to "no" or "false".
If you want substitution feature,but dont want to display manage substitution button, then add "launchSubstitutionManager" to the IView Property "List of UWL Actions to exclude"
