Need help replacing Adobe logo
Hi Presenter gurus
I need to replace the Adobe logo (which is there in the lower-left corner) with my Company logo. I followed the steps given in the Presenter Help file (pasted below), but somehow the new logo changes its position and is located a little above than it's usual position.
Has somebody tried replacing the logo successfully? Is so, can you please provide the steps in details?
I created the logo.swf (47x27) file from an gif image (150x145) using the freeware version of Okdo Image to Swf converter software. I'm doing this on Adobe Presenter 7.0 version.

By default, published presentations contain a small Adobe logo in the lower-left corner. You can substitute your organization’s logo for enhanced branding. The ideal size for the finished logo.swf file is 47 x 27 pixels.
Note: When creating a custom logo.swf file, avoid creating content outside the stage area in the SWF file.
Create a new file named logo.swf that contains your custom branding.
In PowerPoint, open a presentation (PPT or PPTX file).
In Windows Explorer, navigate to the templates folder where Presenter 7 was installed.
Add your custom logo.swf file to the Templates folder.
In PowerPoint, publish the presentation to your computer.
View the output to see the new logo.

I know that you can add a watermark for branding videos with
your company's logo. I'd also like to remove the Adobe branding.
Does anybody know if that is possible? Specifically, I want to 1)
remove the Adobe Captivate icon as the video loads and 2) remove

To banish or change the preloading logo, click Edit >
Preferences... > Project node > Start and End node. Once
there, either DE-select the "Loading screen" option or choose a
different preloader.
For the playback controls, note that the logo is only on the
defalt playback control. So if you click Project > Skin... and
choose a different playback control, the logo should vanish.

You can remove the logo and add your logo by doing the following
1. Create a new file named logo.swf of dimension 47 x 27 pixels that contains your branding.
2. Go to the templates folder under the Presenter 8 installation folder
3. Add your custom logo.swf file to the Templates folder.
4. In PowerPoint, publish the presentation to your computer.
5. View the output to see the new logo.
6. this logo will appear every time you publish any presentation
If you want to replace the logo in already published presentation
1. Create a new file named logo.swf of dimension 47 x 27 pixels that contains your branding.
2. Go to the publiahed folder >> data >> resources and paste the logo here
3. Go to the data folder and open vconfig.xml
4. Search for <uireplace name="logo" value=""/>
5. make value equal to "resources/logo.swf" and save vconfig.xml
6. Launch viewer.swf
There is no way to remove the logos completely. A workaround is to add an empty swf of dimension 47 x 27 pixels.

Flash Player Installer only displays Adobe logo

I'm trying to install flash (reinstall more like) but I keep running into this problem. The installer downloads, I hit run, and it just stays there blank gray for a few seconds and then shows the Adobe logo in one of the corners.

Trying to install latest version of flash
Intel i3, intel HD graphics, 4GB of ram

Bypass the installer/downloader....
Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking the following links and selecting "Save target as" (IE) or "Save Link as"(Firefox).
Flash Player Uninstaller
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Save the files to your Downloads folder - DO NOT run anything yet.
Reboot your system.
BEFORE opening anything, go to the Downloads folder and run the UNINSTALLER to remove all instances of Flash Player.
Next, run the ActiveX installer, and then the (other browsers) Installer.
Lastly, see:Enabling Flash Player in Internet Explorer and: ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer to make 100% sure that Flash Player is enabled and NOT being blocked by ActiveX controls.

Plugin: Seems to be a basic screen and a more elaborate one after clicking the adobe logo...

I use Adobe Acrobat 8.1. I prefer to use the version 11 reader plugin. There are two differing "screens". 1. comes up with the document and when you hover the mouse at the center bottom third of the screen, a dialogue appears allowing basic operations. Clicking on the logo brings up a second screen which is more elaborate.. I would love to know what these screens are called in AdobeSpeak... Now...
After setting the adobe acrobat 8.1 as the system default, the reader plugin in chrome is still version 11.0.05.3 per the plugin section, however where before there were two screens available, the second screen appears and there seems no way to set it to the first simplier one. No toggle to go back to it.
I am pretty certain that the plugin is not the one from 8.1.
I went into the general preferences and set the default to the adobe reader 11 and this gave me the simple first screen, once again. For acrobat 8, I used folder options to make it the system default for .pdf files. I use several programs that rely on the default system pdf program, 8.1 my choice, so this is important to me.
So I guess the relevant question is how, if I only see the more intricate second screen in google chrome, can I set it up so that the simple one with the hovering tool bar is available and not the more elaborate one that come up after clicking the Adobe Logo at the far right of the hovering tool bar?

However when 8.1 installs, the plugin says that its 11.0.05.3 but the
plugin which looks a lot like the the directly above is not exactly the same.
It is not 8.1 plugin, for sure. The plugin list says its the 11.0.05.3 and its
not the chrome version. There is no hovering tool bar when the doc first comes
up. The question is how to revert a setup to be like the top two pics without
having the reader take over the default of the system through the preference
-> general option.
This is not that important. It just seems like the two photos above are
replaced by... a third which has sign in, tools and comment at the bottom of the
screen. A might strange.

Why do I have to remove Adobe Acrobat in order to link pdf files using Preview?

Whenever I try to link pdfs to make a single file, Adobe Acrobat opens automatically and prevents me from linking them, instead demanding that I pay money for a subscription. Instead, I have to remove Adobe, at which point I can open Preview, and then I can link the files.
Is there any way to link documents without having to remove and then reinstall Adobe?
I have an iMac 10.6.8 and the latest Adobe that will install.

How can I make sure under Windows 8 in Explorer to get a real pdf document content file miniature and not the Adobe logo miniature?

This is not a typical Windows 8 problem, I had the same problem with all my previous Acrobat versions on all previous Windows versions.
How can I make sure that when consulting pdf files via Windows explorer the pdf file is represented as a genuine miniature of the document content itself and noit just a document icon with Adobe logo?

Turn the 'Preview Pane' ON and you should be able to see the content of the pdf when clicked.
When 'Show preview handlers in preview pane ON' is checked in 'Folder Options' of Windows Explorer.

Uninstall failing at "Removing Adobe Dynamiclink Support"

Windows XP Pro SP2.
I'm trying to uninstall Design Premium so I can install Master collection. I'm on my second attempt after restoring the drive from an image. The unistaller is freezing (apparently) at Removing Adobe Dynamiclink Support, about 85% through the process. I did NOT check the remove preferences box.
First time I finally used Task Manager to terminate, then restarted the process through control panel. It seemed to have finished, but left a few things behind (some Rorohiko plugin stuff and custom scripts in ID, and a Configurator custom panel in Photoshop), so I tried to install the Master collection.
That froze, installing the Adobe Dynamiclink support, so I used Task Manager agin and restored the drive. The uninstaller is currently stuck at the same point.
I don't think that having only SP2 is the problem (Design Premium has installed just fine on this machine and my laptop, both on SP2).
Has anyone seen this? The clean script will probably be my next step.

I believe I've found the problem, in case anyone else runs across this.
During the first attempt at installing the Master collection, the installer said processcoordinationserver.exe was running and preventing the intallation fom proceeding and should be terminated.
With the uninstall frozen, I checked Task Manager, and the same process was running, so I took a flyer and terminated it. The uninstall completed.
MC installer froze at the same point again, so I wnt back to Task Manager and ended the same process one more time. I'm now about half-way through with the installation, so we'll see.

Remove apple logo in iphoto 6.0.6

i am thinking of ordering my first photo book using iphoto 6.0.6. i have heard that there is a 'made with mac' logo by default on the last page. if so - any ideas how to remove this. have looked under the prefs and settings button in iphoto, but no reference to removing logo. anyone shed any light on this. thanks

I just fired up my iPhoto 6 and could not find any setting to turn it off like you can in the greeting cards. I suppose you could go into the iPhoto application, find the theme and see if there is an icon file there you could remove. TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.≤br>
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Removing Adobe Reader

I am using a PC with XP sp3.
I don't seem to be able to remove Adobe Reader 10.0.1 from my hard drive. When I try to use"MS's add/remove programs" to remove Reader, the msg I get is "feature is on a resource that is unavailable". When I go to the actual file under Programs and try to put the Adobe file folder into the trash, the msg I get is "Cannot delete Identity-H". (I can't find that file as a separate file in MS search.) What do I do?
I want to start over with a reinstall of v10.1.0 because I keep getting an "updating Adobe Reader" message every few days, and I sense that this too often. Can my unremovable version of Adobe Reader have been compromised with a key logger or some virus that is sending out some of my data, rather than actually updating my installed version, as often as every few days?

Your Reader installation may be corrupted; use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459) to remove the corrupted installation.

You can't. PS will always rasterize a PDF and as a result when saving you effectively save a pixel image that will almost always be larger than the original.
