Remove album from trash

I found an album [Project]  of pics in the Trash [not sure why] and want to move it back to projects - can't seem to do it by click-drag, can't copy and export or do anything.  How do I move things out of the Trash?

Can you:
- Select the item in the Trash as shown in the Library Inspector?
- Right-click the selected item
- Select "Put Back"? from the context-sensitive menu that pops up?
Albums and Projects are distinct types of containers in Aperture.  Which is it?
(OT:  You are listing that you have 17 GB of RAM.  This is, afaik, unusual.  Is it correct?)

  • Hi I am having problems removing mail from trash folder. Can anyone help please

Hi I am having problems removing mail from trash folder. I can send mails to the folder but cannot delete them permanently from the trash folder. I am using Iphone 3G and anm up to date with OS. Can anyone help please

Check that there isn't a different Trash folder to the one with the proper Trash symbol on it.
If you see one in your list of folders rather than a separate one, highlight it, then click on Mailbox...Use this mailbox for...Trash

  • Remove dmg from Trash

I downloaded a Yosemite update a few days ago.
Nothing seemed to have happened, clicked again and then found I had downloaded two Combo dmgs.
It had been a long day, replacing a failed drive and restoring it's content.
I sent the 2nd download to trash and installed the first easily.
When I went to trash I found the 2nd dmg but was not allowed to delete it.
No big deal in itself, I suppose, but if anyone has a work around to remove this from Trash which would not unduly tax my few remaining grey cells, I would be delighted to here from them.
    Kind regards.
    Tom

Trash – Can’t Empty or Move File To Trash
Trash – Empty When File is Locked or in Use
Try holding down the option button while trying to delete the Trash. If that doesn’t work, here is some more information.

  • Remove album from Web Gallery (not in Iphoto)

I have a album in my Web Gallery but it's not in my IPhoto. I am trying to remove it from Web Gallery but can not figure out how?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Go into iPhoto's Preferences/Web Gallery. If the gallery is listed then select it and hit the Stop Publishing button.
If the gallery is not listed then mount your iDisk and go to the iDisk/Sites/Web/_gallery folder. If you have more than one gallery you'll have to look inside each of the gallery folders (they are just numbered and hard identify which is which) to determine which is the gallery you want to delete. When you find it drag it to the trash.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.≤br>
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • Removing albums from iPhone but not iTunes

I have the 16gb iPhone and would need to free up space on the device. I need to delete albums from the iPhone but not the iTunes library.
    Any suggestions?

You have been manually managing music and videos from the start, or your switched to this from syncing?
When switching from syncing to manually manage, all iTunes content on your iPhone should be erased first.
Since you are manually managing music and videos selected, you manually drag music and videos from your iTunes library to your iPhone in the iTunes source list to add music and videos to your iPhone. To remove music and videos from your iPhone, you need to delete the music and videos from your iPhone.
Open your iPhone under devices in the iTunes source list - select the right facing arrow pointing it down, which will reveal Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc. Select Music to reveal all music that is available on your iPhone. Select the music that you want to remove from your iPhone followed by delete.
In regards to syncing - when syncing selected playlists, you remove songs from the playlist or playlists in iTunes that is selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences to be transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync to remove the songs from your iPhone. If you want to keep the music in your iTunes playlists in iTunes but remove select songs from your iPhone only, select sync only checked songs and videos under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences. Uncheck the songs that you want removed from your iPhone in the playlists in iTunes followed by a sync. To remove an entire playlist from your iPhone, deselect the playlist under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences followed by a sync.

  • Remove albums from iCloud

Using iCloud.com I removed all my photos from iCloud. Now they are in an album of recently deleted. Is there any way to remove them from that album or remove that album or do I need to wait 30 days for them to purge them selves?

There is no option to delete the photos before the 30 days are up using the web interface.  But you can delete them before this from an iOS device or on your Mac: From the icon Help:
You can remove items from your iOS device or Mac before the 30-day time period is up. For instructions on removing them from your iOS device, see Use iCloud Photo Library on your iOS device. To remove photos from your Mac, see Access your photos and videos everywhere with iCloud Photo Library.

  • How do i remove albums from my iphone and ipad?

I am trying to remove some language teaching albums from my itunes. I do not know how to delete them. Hope someone out there can help me.

You remove them the same way you got them there, by synching.  In this case, UNsynch them.
You really should read the manual.

  • Remove album from photos in ios7

My iPhone has picked up an album "from my computer" which it will not allow me to delete.
I do not want this on my phone and I do not know where it came from.  Is there any way I can get rid of the album?
I want to remove the "Cornetto" folder but as you can see I have no option to do so

It sounds like you got these photos by syncing with your computer, perhaps via iTunes.  To get rid of an album, uncheck the album in the computer program you used to sync that album to the device.

  • IPhone OS 3.1.2 update removes albums from iPhone

I downloaded OS 3.1.2 tonight and updated my iPhone. The update and sync process removed over 2.5 GB of music from my iPhone. My albums still appear in the Music section of Library but I can't get them to sync with my iphone and transfer over. What gives? Didn't Apple test this before putting out this update? I spent hours getting over 52 albums on my phone and now they are missing. Anyone else ever have this happen?
    Thanks,
    Ken

Got my solution from an iPod user. All of the music teachers in my wife's school district have iPods with all of the music they use for teaching on their units. Evidently it is a common occurence that after updating their iPod software they have to resync their entire Music library in iTunes. Doesn't happen with each update but frequently.
Once I updated my entire Music Library everything is back to normal. Now that I know what to look for I can handle it. I'm new to the iApple world and have to learn all the little quirks I guess. It just seems strange that Apple wouldn't warn you first.

  • Remove pics from trash in iphoto

Hi i have moved all my pics and albums to an external hard drive to free up some space, but they still remain(over 8000) in the trash in iphoto, not in the trash on applications, how can iremove these as it is still taking time when i click on iphoto to load up, which was the whole point to begin with.

What version of iPhoto and system are you running?
Have you tried to empty the iPhoto Trash bin?
Note:  iPhoto is known for crashing when trying to delete large numbers of photos at one time.  But give it a try.
i have moved all my pics and albums to an external hard drive to free up some space,
    How did you do this?
Have you considered moving your iPhoto library to the EHD and running it from there? That way you could keep all of your photos in the library.

  • Cannot remove album from mobile me account

This is an iPhoto\mobileme.gallery question but I always seem to get more support with you iPhoto guys.
I have an album of photos in my mm gallery that I can't delete - they are ones that someone else uploaded but I do not seem to be able to delete them in the usual way (select album and delete!)
    I get this message:
    Unable to connect to MobileMe
We are unable to connect to MobileMe. This might be a problem with your internet connection or MobileMe's servers are temporarily unavailable.
If you have lost your network connection, you will not be able to connect to MobileMe. If you can still connect to the internet, check MobileMe's status to see if there are known service problems.
Would really apprpeciate a response. Thanks Jackie

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. First, are you able to delete any other photo from that gallery? If you get the same message try the following:
1 - go to the System/MobileMe preference pane and log out of MMe.
2 - login with a bogus username and password. This clears the caches.
3 - login with your correct username and password.
4 - launch iPhoto and try again.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.
