He All,
I have been able to remediate registry keys in sccm 2012 r2 Compliance. For example: to turn off updates for Adobe Acrobat reader. But I have not been able to figure how to check for a particular version of software and if less than a specified
version, remove it and install a newer version. If someone has a link to do this, would be outstanding. Maybe this is in sccm 2016 ha ha.

Create a query based collection base on HW inventory and the fact that the software is installed on the computer, and then deploy and application with the intent ot uninstall the application or a package/program with a command-line to uninstall the application.

You usually have to use the program's uninstaller utility for such things as Symantec. Read this:

You may need to install it all over again, just to use its uninstaller.

Can someone tell me how to erase and install new copy of Mac OS X 10.5.8 ?? IS there a way to do this without CD?? I no longer have the disks and I cant find a way to get this done.. The reason I want to do this is because a 12 year old was using this computer for a long time and there is a lot of junk stuff on the disk, so I want to start from fresh.

Your out of luck without an Install Disc, & on dangerous ground also.
2 ways to go...
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
   2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
      *Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
   3. Click the Erase tab.
   4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
   5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
   6. Highlight the drive, select Partition Tab, then Format type... MacOS Extended Journalled, select the Security Options button, choose Zero Out Data, Erase... after completion do a new install.
Or...
Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
In the same pref pane highlight your old account, click the little minus icon, then use Disk Utility to Secure Erase Free Space.

Detonator driver remove and install new

Could someone please give an XP Detonator remove and replace process.
I have tried shutting down plug and play service but had errors doing this.
Everytime I remove in add remove then device manager then reboot (safe mode) it loads Microsofts version and then I have to load over them.

Unfortunately your situation could take a little more work.
What I do is the same as Stilup explains, however, I take a few extra steps to eradicate the XP native drivers completely.
You will need to go to Driver Heaven and download "Driver Cleaner", it's similar to the old Detonator Destroyer but works!
Go ahead and install the utility prior to doing anything else. There is a readme file enclosed in the utility on the process, so read that.
After I go the Add Remove Programs and remove the drivers(assuming there is an entry present, if not, skip the Add Remove process) I do things a little differently from that point on.
I'll take it a few steps further by running the cleaner utility after the Add Remove process or prior to entering safe mode.
If the OS installs the drivers again, I will run the utility at least twice in the same session (I know, it sounds silly but I have found that if I click the Clean button a few times rather than just once, it seems to work better) Reboot to safe mode once again, repeat the process untill the OS stops loading the drivers and launches the "Found New Hardware Wizard". At that point I will load the Detonators of my choosing, prefferably the 41.09's (DriverHeaven).
It's a little more involved but it works flawlessly so far during the last 5 or 6 times I have done it on my systems.

How do I cancel outdated protection and install new version?

I have firefox setup 3.6.13 installed on my computer, I think.
A warning came up to update so I would have new and better protection. When I tried to install the new version it would not install because it said I have a version already running
and I am supposed to uninstall the old version first. I don't know how to do that. I am NOT computer savvy! :(

Firefox.exe has "disappeared" so I can't open it. If I download and install new version will I lose all my bookmarks etc?

I've had a lot of crashes, some just firefox, some the whole computer. In process of migrating to new machine so wasn't overly concerned. But after a restart today, I found I could not get firefox to open at all. After finding the system searching for firefox.com, I checked program files\mozilla firefox and firefox.exe is not there. A search showed it not to be anywhere. Not ready to stop using this machine just yet. Any way to get firefox.exe reloaded without losing all my related stuff??

As long as you do not delete your Firefox personal settings or application data, they should remain after a reinstall.
Don't run the Firefox uninstaller, simply run the installer that you download. This will just install over your previous installation.
<b>Note:</b> To be 100% safe, I would recommend backing up your Firefox application data folder.

Installing old software from previous Windows 8 installation? And installing new software.

Two questions.
Can I re-install software from my previous Windows 8 installation onto Windows 10 Preview? All the files needed are in Windows.old. I have some software that was registered to me, and getting another copy will be kinda hard.
Also, when the final edition (i.e: not a technical preview) comes out, will any new software that I have installed onto the Technical Preview still be there?

It depends on how you installing Windows 10, if you do custom install or clean install which means either format partition of your current Windows or install Windows and removing previous version of Windows which would create Windows.old, you have to reinstall
your applications and restore your data and you need product keys and installation files. However , if you do upgrade which is possible from Windows 8 to Windows 10, then you will have your programs and files in place and you don't need to reinstall them.
But note like previous upgrades (e.g. Windows 7 to Windows 8), you might have some compatibility problems and you might need to uninstall some programs and install newer version which you will know during upgrade process.
When final version of Windows been released, you might need to update or install latest version of some software or programs which are compatible with Windows 10 and latest software products should work on Windows 10.

What "app cleaner software" ? I ask because installing Photoshop over a previous version has never been a problem. Perhaps your difficulty stems from another source, eg. "cleaner software" ?
If you look in your hard drive, at the root level there is a Library. In there is a folder called Application Support, and in that you will find a folder called Adobe. Files from your previous version are there.
However, I urge you to call Adobe support to make sure you are not doing anything that would mess up other Adobe applications.

Tried to install new version of itunes and getting r6034 error code

This morning I tried to download and install iTunes Version 11.1.4. I'm getting a R6034 error code RUNTIME ERROR when I go to the "install" phase. I've already de-installed my old version so I know I've not got any files kicking around. I even went as far as purchsing PC CLEANER PRO to try to fix the R6034 error code and it's not solving it. I have the new version sitting in download mode but I'm not able to install it. I get part way through the install and the error code window pops up again. Any suggestions?

The third party cleaner may have been a bad move... It might make the following harder.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

So, in iTunes, when you look at the shuffle's content (in the sidebar) and click on the playlist under the shuffle, over to the right, the songs are in your desired order, correct? Where do you look, or what do you do, that indicates the playlists are in alphabetical order? Are you saying that when you play the songs while using the shuffle, they play in alphabetical order?
If so, when you listen to the songs on the shuffle, are you using the playlist, or are you using the All Songs list? If you are in the default All Songs list, with the shuffle's power switch set to play-in-order (the middle position), the songs play alphabetically, I believe.
The 3rd gen shuffle uses VoiceOver. If you are in the All Songs list, you need to use VoiceOver to switch to the playlist (see manual linked below for details). When you are in the playlist (with the shuffle's power switch set to play-in-order), then the songs should play in playlist order.
