Remove applemobiledevicehelper.exe and why apple doesn't play by the rules?

Hi all,
I'm just wondering if somebody knows how to remove or rip out applemobiledevicehelper.exe. It's eating up resources and I don't need it since I don't have an Apple mobile device.
On the point of playing by the rules, I'm wondering why Apple believes it can just dump all sorts of crap on my computer that I haven't asked for, need or want. E.g. Quicktime, Applemobiledevicehelper. Apple seems to think it is SO cool that the rules somehow don't apply to them.

How do you remove Apple Mobile Device Support?
I just went to Add/remove programs, found Apple Mobile Device and clicked uninstall.
My iTunes seems to work fine without it, but I have an old iPod, I can't speak for the most recent models.

Try going to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. I intend this to be a formal complaint. I am running windows 7 64-bit on my PC, and have repeatedly removed the iCloud program from the list of assigned startup programs. Every few restarts (so every 1-2 times that I restart or turn on my computer) it appears again, running at startup, using up resources. I value the control I have over which programs open when I start my computer- by managing the programs and limiting the number which automatically run to only those which I find essential (like sound driver software, video display driver software, wireless management software, and antivirus) I am able to dramatically reduce the time it takes for my computer to be ready for use after pushing the on/off button.
iCloud, as a singular exception within this system, does not play by the rules. I suspect that it is constantly checking for updates and upon updating or simply upon auto-running to perform this check, it resets or resestablishes information in the computer's registry, bypassing my GUI established setting and re-assigning itself as a startup program. For this reason I am now uninstalling iCloud from my computer.
I do not know if this was an intentional tactic by Apple to make their brand even more ubiquitous than it already is, or simply an oversight/something ignored as unimportant by the developers. Either way, I find it manipulative or at the very least, a poor business practice. Thanks for reading.

They do.
Standby = press the Power button
Power off = Press and hold Power button then slide the red power off slider.
Reset = Press and hold both Reset adn Home till you see the Apple logo.
This option will help to avoid pressing power button less number of times and gives better user experience.

I had the same issue. In fact I posted it yesterday, but didn't get any replies. I physically synched my phone to PC iTunes. on the PC, under the phone/music tab, I unchecked the synch music box and then the apply button to remove all of the music from my phone. Then once that synch finished, I went back and selected all music, and synch music and apply to put it back on to the phone. So far, I haven't had an issue again, but I also haven't listened very long. Hope this helps!

Click the Utilities icon/folder to see the contents and then drag the items out of the folder upwards onto the Desktop and they will be removed from the folder.

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

You can't. Until the previous owner removes the activation lock, the device is useless to you; Apple won't remove it unless presented with proof that the registered owner is dead.
