Remove apps from icloud

I am trying to figure out how to permanently remove applications i no longer want from the iCloud. Anyone have any tips?

To select certain apps you no longer want to back up to the iCloud connect the device to your computer.
Launch iTunes.
Select the iOS device under Devices left side of the iTunes window.
Select the Apps tab.
Deselect the boxes for the apps you don't want in iCloud.
Select the Summary tab.
Select:  Back up to iCloud

  • How do I permanently remove apps from iCloud?

I would like to permanently remove old and unwanted apps from iCloud and all my devices (iPad, iPhone, and iTunes), but there does not seem to be a way to do this. In fact, there seems to be an strong underlying effort to avoid this option. No discussions, no steps, no Support options.
    Any suggestions?

    Welcome to the Apple community.
The apps are not actually in your iCloud storage, they are links to the apps in the App Store. What you are seeing is your purchase history and as such cannot be deleted.
You can however hide your purchases, which you can do from the QuickLinks > Purchased option from the main page in the iTunes Store on your computer.

  • HT4859 Removing apps from iCloud

I am wanting to remove apps that I no longer want from iCloud and my purchase history.  I have too many old apps mixed in with the apps that I use and want to declutter.  Can anyone help with this?

Before IOS 6 there was option to hide apps (not to remove, just hide). Not on ipad with ios6, but you can still do it on your computer's itunes.
Check if it works for you.

  • I want to remove apps from iCloud

    Hoy can i do?

You can't remove them because they aren't stored in your personal iCloud account.  They are stored in the App store.  What you are seeing are links to your previous purchases in the App store, and Apple will not remove anything from your list of previous purchases.

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...

how do i remove an app from icloud?

The only thing you can do is tap and hold the Kindle app icon until it wiggles.  Then tap the "x" next to the icon to delete it.  This removes it from the device.
Then open the App Store app on the device and look up the Kindle app.  Then tap the icon to download it (again).  That's it, there's no other way to do this.
When deleting an app from a device, that also removes all settings and other data files associated with that app.  What problem are you having with Kindle?

  • How can I permanently remove apps from my ipad, iphone and ipod (which are in icloud)?

How can I permanently remove apps from my iphone, ipad, ipod operating in the iCloud?

Apps don't operate in the cloud - they're either downloaded to your device, or they're in your Purchased list. You can't permanently remove the history of apps you've purchased, but you can hide them. See this link:

i am getting an error message while managing my cloud it says "cannot turn off backup" when i want to remove apps from the clous. how do i fix?

    Hey ktillis88,
Thanks for the question. Based on the information you have provided, the following resource may be helpful:
    iCloud: Understanding Backup alert messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4576
"Backups for appname cannot be turned off at this time."
This message occurs if disabling Backup for an app on your iOS device does not complete successfully. Wait a few minutes and then attempt to disable Backup for the app again. If you continue to receive this alert, contact iCloud Support for assistance.
    Thanks,

  • Why can't I remove iMessage from iCloud backups?

Why can't I remove iMessage from iCloud backups?
I've noticed that my iCloud backups are constantly hitting their 5GB max, even after clearing out camera rolls, etc.
After some testing, I've found that iMessages are also backed up.   For someone like me, I'm constantly sending pictures / videos to friends and family, having a little guy under a year old (but that's not important).
In any case, it seems you can set iCloud backup for just about every app EXCEPT iMessages.   The only way I've found to solve this is to constantly delete message threads from my iPhone, so that they aren't taking up iCloud space.   But this honestly is a bit of a pain (okay, only a little bit)...  why can't I keep my messages around for as long as I want, without backing them up?

Make sure you have their icloud email they use for imessage in their contact information before sending them an imessage.

How do I recover a game app (dragonvale) from iCloud backup on ipad2 after ios7 update last night?

    Hi there Bradhawkins,
It sound like the game may be saving data to iCloud. The article below has information on managing iCloud data.
    iCloud: Remove documents from iCloud
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12794
Remove iCloud documents using your iOS device
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage.
Under Documents & Data, tap the app that has a document you want to delete, then tap Edit.

  • How to delete apps from icloud

How does one remove unwanted apps from iCloud. (using a iPad)

when I go to delete my apps there they are... in the purchased section of the apps store, so if it wasn't in iCloud then I didn't need the storage... even tho it kept saying I didn't have enough room.
When/where do you see this message?
Either your iPad or your computer did not have enough room and iTunes would have told you this.
Perhaps you should look up the word "extortion"...

My apps from iCloud won't download and I can't find them on my purchases

If you don't see them on your purchased list, make sure that you are signed in with the Apple ID you used to purchase them in Settings>iTuens & App Store.  Then redownload them by opening the App store app on your phone, tap Updates at the bottom, tap Purchased at the top, then tap Not on this iPhone at the top.

  • How can I remove apps from my iPad

How can I remove apps from my iPad? It does not have the little "x" option on the iPad like the iPhones.

It works just the same as an iPhone. A long hold on an icon will cause them all to start wobbling, drag to move around or tap the X to remove. You can't remove any of the built-in apps so these won't get an X to tap.
