Remove artwork

When I downloaded 7.0 I said yes, that I wanted the artwork downloaded. But now I can't see the status of how long and how much I've listened to on a podcast, so I want to remove all the artwork. I have unchecked the Display Artwork box, but it doesn't remove what already went onto my ipod... help?
Thank you!!!
20gb color   Windows XP

Alittle unclear what artwork has to do with your podcast, but I take for granted when you play a podcast on your ipod, it just shows the album artwork.
If thats the case all you have to do is hit the center button while its playing to get back to the "Normal" screen showing the lenght of the song/podcast

  • How to manually remove artwork in iTunes 12.0.1?

    Hi,
I want to remove the artwork from an album. In the previous versions of iTunes, one could simply go to the info page and click the artwork check box and the artwork would be removed. In iTunes 12.0.1 there is not this option. Even if you try to right click on the songs and select "Clear Artwork" it doesn't do anything.
Does anyone know how to manually remove artwork in this version of iTunes?
    Thanks so much,

The iTunes 12 Get Info dialog lacks right-click context menus (at least for now) but it still accepts most standard keyboard shortcuts and drag & drop actions.
    Delete Artwork
On the artwork tab of Get Into, tap the image in question, use Backspace or Ctrl+X. Delete doesn't work.
Or, tap the image at the top left of Get Info, this time use Backspace or Delete, it is Ctrl+X that doesn't work.
    Add Artwork
Select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the center of the Artwork tab, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the small image area at the top left, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, you can drag & drop to, or sometimes from, the same locations.
You can also copy artwork from the Get Info dialog to Windows Explorer with the keyboard shortcuts.
If the source image is on a web page right-click and use Copy Image rather than copy. (With Chrome I get a one pixel wraparound so tend to go for a temporary local copy anyway - not sure whose bug this is, but it isn't new.)
If you have multiple images embedded drag the one you want to be the primary artwork to the leftmost position.
    Replace/Remove All Artwork
The top left image box can be used to add or delete art from multiple tracks. In either case all existing artwork in all tracks is replaced/removed.
    Old Style Get Info Dialog
Select some items, right-click, hold down shift, then click Get Info from the context menu. (Use alt/option on a Mac)

  • Is there any way to remove artwork from all songs on iPod?

I need to clear all the artwork from my iPod so I can put them back on, as right now they are all mixed up for some reason. Any way to remove all the artwork? I unchecked the display artwork button under my iPod preferences in iTunes preferences, but even after updating the album artwork is still there...

If you are in Windows, you can try this...
    Close iTunes.
Go to the folder that contains your music. Select TOOLS then FOLDER OPTIONS from the menu at the top. Pick the VIEW tab. Change the appropriate opttion to "SHOW HIDDEN FILES". Click apply and close...
Now scroll down through your music and you should see files named "Album Art.....". Drag all of them to the trash or some other folder. If you are not sure about all this, just don't empty the trash.
When you run iTunes again, it should not be able to find the artwork. I'm not sure what you would do next but this gives you a start!
Proceed at your own risk. Good luck!

  • How to Remove Artwork Viewer

I cannot remove the artwork viewer in the bottom left corner. I tried ctrl+g, but that only toggles the artwork column, and I tried going to View>Show Artwork, but the directory does not exist. Running iTunes version 8.0.1.11.

Try clicking near the bottom left, there are 4 icons.
Click the right-most down arrow that has a box around it.

  • How do I remove artwork from the Nano?

I have a 16GB Nano and only 4.5GB of songs. I do NOT have videos loaded on the Nano, yet the summary page states that I have 10.4GB worth of videos. I don't even have podcasts synced to the Nano. I figured that it may be the album artwork that's taking up space on my Nano, but Apple only has instructions on how to add the artwork, not how to remove it. Logic would say that I could got to 'View' or 'Preferences' to change the settings, but the options are ghosted out.
Without restoring the Nano, how the heck do I remove the darn 10.4GB of 'video' that it claims I have? UGHhhhh...

    planb77/B-rock:
Thanks for your suggestion and for confirming that the album artwork should not take up any space on the nano. I ended up removing ALL of my music and started from scratch and now have my 10.4GB of space to play with. I really do like Apple products, but they can be very frustrating and inconsistent at times; luckily, my iPad has been behaving itself (for the most part).
    Thanks again. Cheers...

  • Removing artwork from my Zen V P

I hate it. It shows the same piece of artwork for every song I have. It clutters up the Now Playing screen. I own these CDs, I don't need to know what they look like when I'm playing them on my mp3 player.
So, is it possible to remove album artwork from my Zen V Plus, or will my songs have a Veggietales (hey, they have some good stuff) picture next to them forever?

The album cover is part of the ID3 tag, which is part of every MP3 file. So you need an ID3 tag editor to change/remove it. There are many ID3 tag editors out there, some of them favorites of others in the forum. I happen to like ID3-TagIt (freeware), but you can search the forum for "album art" for other recommendations.

  • Aligning text, removing artwork

I noticed that the text that appears on the screen for a couple of Cake songs justifies to the left of the ipod screen. I like that and would like to do that for all the songs and I don't care about loosing artwork in the process... thanks in advance for any help.. t

Try the below, cut and paste into a new Dreamweaver document. You had some extra closing brackets in your css that was most likely stopping the css cascade.

  • Remove Artwork from Itunes

Hey im kind of new to itunes and i dragged a album photo to the square on the left bottom side of the screen just to see if it worked and now i dont know how to get it off and its really annoying me (its not even the correct photo)

Right-click the song, select Get Info > Artwork, select the artwork and hit Delete.

  • Itunes randomly removing my artwork

This is so **** annoying. My itunes continually wants to randomly remove artwork from my albums...artwork that I have manually located and added myself as well as established itunes store-friendly artwork that the software has located and added for me. It is so random and so frustrating. It happens after a sync, after a software update, after adding new albums to my library. Again, at random. I am an extremely meticulous person and this software program continually fails to meet my organizational standards for data, info. It literally drives me nuts. This is the most frustrating issue of all the issues I seem to have with itunes...cuz it happens so often and is so random. Anyone experience similar problem? Anyone have a solution?
I have have zero solutions after doing a simple Google search for the issue.
In the meantime, I will go back to fixing, re-locating, re-adding, re-doing the artwork on my itunes.

Looking more at this bug, it seems to only happen on tracks that I select in iTunes, as I select them. I can literally cause this problem consistently by just going through my library and selecting tracks. Songs with album after before selecting them have the artwork removed immediately after selecting them.

  • Removing incorrect album artwork

How can I remove artwork which has been incorrectly assigned to an album, and replace it with the correct artwork? I know how to manually add artwork if there is none there, but I couldn't figure out how to remove the existing incorrect artwork in order to replace it. Thanks for all responses.

Found the answer via the search feature, thanks.

  • Album artwork-how do i get rid of old low res images and get new artwork?

Before apple introduced the new artwork download, I spent ages searching the internet for album sleeves and copied them to itunes, but the quality of the images in some cases was very bad. I am trying to replace this artwork with the downloadable high quality images but I can't work it out. I have tried going to the itunes folder in the music section of the finder and deleting all album artwork and then starting a new album artwork download, but all my old crappy low res pictures turn up again after I have done it. Any clues please? I am sure I am missing something.
    thanks

Select all the muisic you want to remove artwork from.
    Right click - Get info.
iTunes willask if you wan tot edit info for multiple items at once. Click OK.
ONLY tick the box next to Artwork then Apply.
It should delete all artwork in those songs.

  • Is there a way to sort by artwork??

I'd like to see ONLY the tracks that DO NOT have artwork in a playlist. Is there an (easy) way to do this? Thanks!

Is there a way to sort tracks by whether or not they
    have Artwork?
This can be easily done by making a new playlist...
First, check out Apple's page with additional scripts and how to activate this functionally.
Then, check out Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes here for managing Artwork. He has some that will help you find songs lacking artwork and even one that will make a playlist with such. Also if you wish to remove artwork he has a tool for that as well.
To find artwork from say... Amazon... which isn't exactly legal.. search at a download site and you will find one of many utilities available to use.

  • Synch without Album Artwork

How do you transfer or synch music to the iPod without transfering the album work from iTunes

On the Classic, when connected to iTunes there is an option to not show artwork (I think it is on the "Music" tab of the iTunes info for your iPod). De-select that option and re-sync. If you manually manage the iPod contents, you may have to delete everything and re-copy the contents back to the iPod after you've changed this setting.
Any reason why you're doing this? If its to save space, keep in mind that artwork is only about 1% of the size of your media files. Also, removing artwork will not free up "space" on the display ... you'll just see a gray square with a music note.

  • All artwork is blacked out on cover flow

i have tried reinstalling itunes, repairing and removing artwork but on cover flow the artwork doesnt appear. although it does on the left sidebar. please can someone explain whats happening? this has only happened since i installed itunes on this laptop and ive never had the problem before. using an IBM thinkpad laptop.

In Firefox version 33, Firefox has implemented a new, faster way of loading webpages. This new feature is called OMTC.
There was an issue with black screens/boxes but it has been addressed in Firefox 33.0.1. The latest version is now 33.0.2. Please update to the latest version of Firefox if you are not currently on it:
    * https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/new/
    * or for all versions and languages: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
Alternatively, if you are in Firefox and can see your menus:
    * Help (or [[Image: New Fx Menu]] > [[Image: Help-29]]) > About Firefox
If you are finding that there are still problems, try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
    Then perform these steps:
    # Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and select ''Options''
#In the Firefox Options window, click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select ''General''.
#In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
#Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:
    * [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]]
    * [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL]]
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
    Thank you.
