Remove authorization to delete Opportunities and Activities

Hi ,
The requirements are that the user can create and change Opportunities and Activities , but not Delete Opportunities and Activities .
I did generate a PFCG role from the Business role , but cannot find the correct object to deactivate/remove from the PFCG role

Thank you , but the "Trash Can" in the WebUI is still accessible , the user gets an error log , but is asking from the "Trash Can" to be grayed out . Can we do that ? I was looking at Authorization Object UIU_COMP , but could not find a related activity .

CJ20n - No authorization to display network and activities

Hi Gurus,
I am facing an authorization issue with network and activities.
When a network was called in transaction in CN23, it looks okay and displayed network and activities accurately.
When I opened the PROJECT in CJ20N and expand it to reach that network and activity. There network and activities are apprearing in RED, means I am not authorized to view them. Where as when I opened the WBS element in CJ20n to which Network and activites are linked, there again I found everything looks Okay.
So the problem only occurs when I am trying to expand project structure through project definition. In this case all networks and activities with in the project are appearing in Red color(no authorization).
Does anyone has ever come across this situation? Please share your thoughts ?

This eror is related to ACL in network profile.
Please check that "No ACL" is selected in network profile configuration. If yes, you can execute transaction CNACLD- Delete Access Control List entry to see if any user id is set up for ACL for the project or network. If so, select all and delete them.
It should work with this solution.

Remove authorization for Tcode: ME21 and ME22 from certain users

Hi Guys,
I'm new to BASIS.
My requirement is to: Remove authorization to Tcodes ME21/ME22 from a list of users.
How do I acheive this? We run on SAP 4.0B version.

dear friend,
1.
run SU01
goto Information-Information system
select node Roles-By Transaction Assignment
type ME21, ME22
execute report
see the roles displayed
2.
then find user who have these roles (usually company uses z-roles copied from standard)
just highlight the role and hit user assignment (Cntrl-Shift-F9)
you see all users who have this role. that means they are able to run these transactions.
3.
let's remove the role(s) we found.
open second session, run SU01 type one of the user , goto Roles tab and delete the particular role you found.
save user and test it (ask hem/her to log in sap and run ME21 and ME22). if needed adjust it again (may be another role to be deleted)
say, fix completely one user/test it and then do the same things for other. test them.

Sales Opportunities and Activities Import

We need to import the attached into SAP as Sales Opportunities and related Activities.
I believe the mappings are roughly as follows:
Opportunities

What I canu2019t see is how to link the activity to an opportunity.
NB: Where there isnu2019t a contact name and call back date, there is no activity to be created.

To link Sales Opportunities with Activities, you need to assign OCLG.parentType = 97 and OCLG.parentID=OOPR.OpprId

Deleting DC and Activities

Dear All,
I have a requirement to delete some of the DC's in a track. For this i m planning to do it so by using the DCTool command line. I read the documents for the same and have the materials for the list of commands and their usage.
As first step i had to load the development configuration in the DCtool. For this i m using the command...
loadconfig -u username -p password -r C:\temp\.dtc\.condef -c C:\temp\.dtr
but it says it cannot load the DTR client for the given .dtc configuration file. Is the command usage correct?
My Second question - How to use the delete command for deleting the activities that are closed and existing in the Activation View of the NWDS using the DTR command line tool?

First, I used your path as an example.
My real path is different. Here are the actual command lines I used for my machine (except the myUserID). Both command lines below work for me:
loadconfig -u myUserID -r "E:\dtc\1" -c "C:\Users\\myUserID\\.dtr"
loadconfig -u myUserID -r "E:\\dtc\\1" -c "C:\Users\\myUserID\\.dtr"
I just realized my previous reply did not show the double back slashes.. Hopefully it shows this time.
Second, I do have file E:\dtc\2\.condef

Sales Opportunities and Follow Up Activities

Hi Experts.
We have a customer who uses Sales Opportunities and Activities extensively.
What they are finding is that when they create a follow up Activity from an Activity linked to a Sales Opportunity, the fields Source Object Type and Source Object No. are not always populated with Sales Opportunity and the Sales Opportunity number. This data is showing on the original Activity.
Also, when you access Related Activities from the Sales Opportunity, the follow up Activity is not always show.
I would like to be able to send you some screen dumps of this.
Any suggestions?

Hi Pez,
iTunes in the Cloud is not iCloud. Any songs that you have purchased but have not downloaded (or have deleted), go to iTunes in the cloud. The setting I mentioned will show all of your purchases in the various views in the Music app, whether they are on your device or not. If you turn that setting off, you will only see items that are actually on your device.
Glad to hear the second sync worked! But if they all start appearing again, make sure that setting is turned off

I have the same problem with my iPhone. I set up a recurring calendar event for every Thursday. That event is no longer happening during the summer, so I went in and chose one from the current month and selected Delete. Then it gve me two choices, one of which was to Delete All Future Events of this one, and that's what I chose. I figured, this way, I'll still be able to see the ones from the past, but won't have to see (or hear the alert) for the future ones.
The following week, my phone alerted me to the appointment, and even showed it on the initial screen, even though it wasn't in the calendar. I went in to the calendar and NOTHING was scheduled for that day. So why is this happening?
So I set up a new recurring event, for in the past, then went in and deleted all furture occurances, and it did the same thing... still alerted to an event that was no longer in the calendar.
I hope somebody else has found a fix, or at least a reason for why this is happening.

Good morning Old Toad.
I did as you suggested:
1) Booted from install CD.
2) Ran Disk Utilities on internal hard drive--no repairs necessary. For good measure, did the same thing on external drive. Also no repairs necessary.
3) Checked software update--no updates found. About this Mac said I was already running 10.4.7. For good measure, I downloaded the latest and installed it. Since it let me run the install, I'm not sure if I installed something new or reinstalled what I already had.
4) I rebooted from CD, ran disk utilities, ran repair disk--no repairs necessary. Repaired permissions and a lot of permissions repaired.
5) Tried to delete the files and the same old thing happened: kernel panic. The specific message:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00102A08): jnl: transaction too big (1587712 >= 1572352 bytes, bufsize 8192, tr 0x29f1fb0 bp 0x2801de40)
So there's no change in my status.
I'm trying to delete the files because:
A) They already take .5 Gb.
B) I can't get rid of them ever. If I move the problem files to a different folder, I can only do one successful drag-and-drop backup to the external drive until the "new" thumb segments become unerasable just like the previous versions and crash the system.
C) I can't even "just" drag and drop every file/folder except the thumbs, because that ends up crashing the system as well. So I have to drag and drop every file/folder in the iPhoto hierarchy individually. Which makes me less inclined to backup, which defeats the purpose of a backup.
D) After the iPhoto fiasco I'm just crabby about all the Apple screw-ups I'm experiencing and I want to get them fixed.

Retrieving and removing Messages and Activities

In our project we would like to create alerts and simple workflow. We would like to base our implementation on the existing B1 infrustructure. For that we need to manipulate messages and activities (i.e. contacts).
Alas I did not find for SAPbobsCOM.Contacts and SAPbobsCOM.Messages any GetByKey or Remove method.
Is there a way to retrieve the objects and remove them.
I noticed that the UI allows to remove a messae.

Hi,
I think what you should do, as in B1, is to close the activity (Contacts.Closed property) instead of removing it.
And you have the Contacts.GetByKey which I think is what you need.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

No, they are NOT the same as proxy or optimized.
When you add a clip to your timeline and, say, apply an effect to it, or superimpose a title on the clip, FCP X has to make many calculations to determine what color each pixel of each frame should be. If a section of your timeline is not rendered, it has to do all these calculations every time you play those frames. A render file has the frames already "calculated", so it plays fast and smoothly.
For simple compositions and a fast computer, you may avoid rendering completely - and you may also choose to only render the portions where playback stutters.
Render files can be safely deleted. FCP X can recreate them if needed (either automatically if you have "background render" on, or on demand, when you select the "render" or "render all" commands).
