Remove borders from stacked plot with 64 channels

Hello,
I am looking for a way to compact my display for 64 channel of data. Is there a way to remove/reduce the border between the stacked plots in a waveform chart? It would be awesome if I could each plot area right on top of the other. It would be even better if I could have them overlap a bit as well.
I don't necessarily need to see each plot clearly, the important part is just being able to see if an individual channel has very high noise compared to it's neighbors.
programatic solutions would be great as well because there will be times when only some of the channels will need to be viewed.
I included a picture of my current stacked plot layout. Basically more border than plot.

Hi honglyshin,
As it turns out there is a way to essentially merge the plots. On the plot itself, if you move your mouse to the far right side of a plot, you can drag its upper right corner up(ensure the double-ended expand arrow is oriented with the left side down and the right side up to ensure your have the correct corner) to meet the plot above it. There doesn't appear to be a way to do this programmatically, but dragging the plot corner to meet the plot above it seems to work.

How do you remove applications from the "open with" context menu? I seem to have one instance of a program for every time it was "updated." So my "open with" menu has about 8 instances of Adobe Acrobat, 3 or 4 of Word, etc. It's obnoxious and cumbersom. Any idea how to edit this context menu? Thanks.

you can solve it in two ways:
1)open terminal and copy and paste:
/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/\
Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister \
-kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
enter and wait the prompt
2) delete this files and restart
library/caches/com.apple.LaunchServices-xxxxx.csstore
(more than one files with the xxxx i mean number)
~/library/preferences/com.apple.launchservices.plist

Again, show us reference screenshots and we will advise. Otherwise this could become an endless theoretical discussion. Depending on what you want to do you can import the video directly using Layer --> New Video Layer e.g. when covering up fied spots with a brush blob on a layer on top of the footage, but you may also need to create separate layers for each frame using the Frames to Layers script so you can paint on each of them individually. There's really too much we don't know and the possibilities are potentially infinite...

Removing 3750 from stack

I have a 3750-12S-S which was the third switch in a stack of 3 3750. We want to run it as a seperate switch in a different location so I removed it from the stack by powering it off, unplugging the stack cables and then powering it up again.
When the switch came up again all of the 12 interfaces were numbered Gi3/0/1-12. Despite erasing the config and rebooting the switch, the interfaces will not reset back to Gi1/0/1-12. I have noticed the following command in the running config:
"switch 3 provision ws-c3750g-12s". I suspect this is causing the problem but I am unable to remove it from the config without it reappearing on the next power-cycle.
Can someone suggest a solution?

The part that we really need to focus on is
"The interface configuration associated with the old switch
number will remain as a provisioned configuration."
Which means that configuration that was associated with switch number 3 will remain as
Gi5/0/1 and will not change to Gi1/0/1 . Infact , renumbering will provision another switch
with the new number with default config. So what is really the solution of this ? The
solution is to move the config manually , or do not change the switch numbers. Once you put the config on a newly provisioned #1 switch , then unprovision switch # 3 and save the config. That should effectively move every thing to switch 1.

Impact of selecting "Removing Query from Selection List" in 2 channels.

HI All ,
I have customized a query in one channel (My Agreements and Contract Documents query in Master Agreements List channel) and have removed the standard query from the channel by checking the "Remove Query from Selection List" and introduced my custom query in that query group .
But it resulted in break in chain for "Master Agreements" link in "Contracts To Do List" channel as the link was pointing to standard "My Agreements and Contract Documents" query and is displaying "The query can not be executed. Contact your system administrator" when ever I click on that.
Any pointers on how to overcome above scenario wud be gr8!

In order for To Do List channel to work, the query definition should be in the Master Agreement List query group. Do you still want the standard query in the To Do List? If so, you would have to leave it on the Query Group as To Do list is pointing to it. May be change the display name of the query so you can differentiate between the 2 queries. The other option is change the To Do channel to point to the custom query.

Does anyone know how I can remove an item from the "open with" menu?

You could try removing the quicktime .pkg files from the receipts folder in the root library.
The system has to go somewhere to determine eligible applications it can use to open a file.
Each application would contain its base settings in its receipts file.
Once you delete the receipt you should delete the application and reinstall it.
The reinstall will write a new receipts file.
The receipts file is used by your system when it repairs disk permissions.
The system does not just add a setting.
For example if you take a .png file and click on it and look at what can open it you may get a long list.
If you choose "other" from the get info "open with" menu and have acrobat reader installed in applications, it will show as an application you can choose.
That application, however, is not in the drop down list.
If you choose acrobat reader and apply it to the file type, it will show as the default.
If you then choose another application in the list and apply, Acrobat Reader disappears from the list.
The system only shows files in the list that advertise to the system that they can read the file type.
You have a system which is populating the list with legitimate programs that are compatible with the advertised file type.
It is reading that advertisement for the quicktime application somewhere.
The configuration is written to each file individually, you can choose to have a single file associated with a particular application or have it apply to all files of that type.
Check in Spotlight for a copy of the application in another location.

Disconnect/remove PSTs from users profile with logging

I would like a script that removes (but does not delete) all PST files (except Sharepoint lists) attached to Outlook on a machine (for all users) with logging. I found the script on another site but I would like it to create a log file which records what
it has actually done (machine|user|location of PST that was removed|time it was removed). Can anyone help with the logging bit please? I am thinking include the script as part of logon script and have the log file save in a network location.

RemoveStore method of the Namespace class removes a Personal Folders file (.pst) from the current MAPI profile or session. I.e. the method removes a store only from the Microsoft Outlook user interface. You cannot remove
a store from the main mailbox on the server or from a user's hard disk using the Outlook object model.

Remove entries from the "Open with" menu?

I'm using openbox as a window manager and while trying to open some specific zip files I did the right click, open with, and then chose a few different programs.
The problem is that now everytime I right click a file of the same extention the menu includes the programs I selected from before. Here's an example of what it looks like
Open
unzip
7-Zip FM
Archive Manager
File Manager PCMan FM
Open With
Cut
Copy
and so on. My laptop screen has quite a small resolution and the menu flows off the screen which is getting really annoying. Is there a way I can remove entries on the menu, and just keep Archive Manager, making the menu smaller?

In fact I would put one in Schedule TIP for Apple, which would give greater security for users of the Mountain Lion operating system, or any other that supports iCloud.

Remove geotags from photos taken with iPhone (2G)

Hi everyone,
I have some photos inside iPhoto that were taken with my 1st gen iPhone. For example there's one event with photos all taken within the range of a few meters, but the map shows me the pin at a not so nearby city and when zooming in it splits into 4 pins where only 1 of them is the correct event location. Another event is in the middle of Ireland, but I've never been there in my life. You get the idea...
Since this gets you lots of partially wrong places I'd like to simply remove all geographic information from these photos and give them a location manually later on.
What is the easiest way to accomplish this?

OK, I've tried several tools which offer EXIF metadata editing, but none could remove the geotags. So I took another look at iPhoto and found the following workaround:
Export the photos from iPhoto and make sure that *'Include Location Data'* isn't checked. It's a bit strange, but when exporting to JPG (the originals are JPG, too) and selecting the highest quality setting the above mentioned option is greyed out. Seems like this simply outputs your images completely unchanged, because the geotags were still there. So I had to select
a) another file format like TIFF or
b) choose a lower JPG quality setting.
I went with b) since the images are only iPhone photos and there was not a single pixel difference in quality when I selected JPG and quality High instead of the maximum setting. After exporting I deleted the geotagged originals from iPhoto and re-imported my tag-less photos. Places no longer shows a place now.
Not ideal, but I can live with it for now. Maybe I'll appreciate the iPhone's geotagging ability once I have a 3G or newer model, but I don't want to use the 2G's only nearly accurate location data...

How do I remove apps from the "open with" menu in Mountain Lion?

If I right-click a document in Finder, I get a contextual menu offering all of the potential applications with which I might open that document. My problem is that some of those applications are no longer operational and I want them to be removed from the menu. How can I do that?

I'm not sure how the order is determined. Clearly, the first level sort is ascending by application name these days (since Lion, I think), but it seems to be random after that. It's not by version, though that would be convenient.
Also, I notice that on my relatively clean Mountain Lion system I sometimes get duplicate entries in the "open with" list that cannot be explained by duplicate copies of the application. On a text file, I get two each of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Equation Editor, Evernote, and Xcode; none of these is duplicated on this system. I get only one entry each for the Notepad stub application, a few Adobe apps, TextWrangler, Safari, Numbers, Pages, and several others.
Where there are duplicated entries, it doesn't seem to matter which one I select; I get the same instance of the program no matter which I select. I take this to mean that one is an alias for the other.
That's my mystery and not necessarily yours. Are your "unhelpful but working stub applications" also duplicates?

How to remove entries from the plot legend?

I have got a waveform graph to display measurement data. Sometimes there will be 40 plots shown. The plot legend also expands to 40 and I limit the number of elements shown in the Plot legend and I have activated the vertical scroll bar. Of course 40 plots are too many to work with. So the user has the ability to select plots to be shown. Now I want to decrease the number of elements in the plot legend as well. But if there were once 40 elements the plot legend remains in this size and the vertical scroll bar indicates that there are more elements than shown even if there are only e. g. two plots in the graph.
I don't want to increase and decrease the number of plots shown in the plot legend programmatically each time the user changes the number of plots shown. Secondly the plot legend shall have a maximum number of 20 elements (otherwise it would exceed my front panel). So I don't want to programmatically check whether to show the vertical scroll bar or not.
The legend should look like a partially filled array with grayed out elements.
How do I do this?
Is there a simple way to clear the plot legend and remove all entries?

Hi Suse,
your example does not exactly solve my problem. I wanted the plot legend always to show 10 legend entries.
But it helped me to find the solution: set LegNumRows to 10 and set LegPlotMin to the number of plots in the Graph (see attached example).
One thing is still missing: setting the plot number currently at the top of the legend. If you run the attached example with 30 plots shown, scroll the legend down and run the VI once again with 3 plots shown then you will see no plots in the legend despite the fact that all could be shown. You need to move the scroll bar first to see the 3 elements.

Remove attachments from mail app with imap account

Hi Folks,
I am quite frustrated. I am using Apple's mail app with Gmail (IMAP) and I want to remove all of my attachments from Gmail. I am using the 'remove attachment' feature of mail app to do this. However, it removes the attachment, then uploads a copy of the original email without the attachment. Therefore, I end up with two emails: The original and a copy without an attachment.
I don't get it. I just want to remove the attachments from my emails. I don't want to delete the original email.
Any thoughts?

I am not sure when I will get the chance to test this -- maybe this afternoon. But I had not understood that what you called original continued to have the attachments. If so, this strongly suggests to me that it indeed may be the way Gmail maintains the All Mail folder that is causing this. See:

If there is a setting to help this, it will have to be one that is selected in the Settings webpage of Gmail, I suspect.

Pictures in albums that you created from Camera Roll are not actually copies of the originals in the Camera Roll. They are just pointers to the originals, so if you delete from Camera Roll, the pix are gone everywhere. However, you can create albums on your computer and sync to your iPad, in which case, you can delete from Camera Roll and retain the pix in the albums.

If I have a whole line of type on top of a photo a clients sends me and I want to remove it, can I mark the whole line off with the Healing Brush Tool and proceed? Or do I need to select each letter individually?

I was able to remove the whole line of typ at once and have Content-Aware Fill do its magic to the whole area where there'd once been type.
