Remove channel banner ad

With the new software upgrade to STB.  I now have a very annoying BRIGHT RED ad banner on the bottom of my guide.  How do i remove it.
I have Interactive TV --> Disabled. I sure hope there is a setting to disable the the ad.  I know what services I have and don't need Verizon advertising for the Internet speed upgrade which I already have!

I too looked everywhere in the menus to find a way to disable the large red FiOS banner after last nights upgrade.  Pressing A only give me the option to upgrade and not dismiss the ad!   W/ last nights "upgrade," there is way too much wasted space on both the top and bottom of the Guide, causing me to scroll more often than I'm used to!
Yes, I agree that I would like a way to get rid of the ad.  But No it doesn't take up anymore space causing more scrolling.  The just removed some not programming info that was at the bottom of the screen and pushed that info to other spots on the screen.

    Since Wednesday if I watch freeview channels live I have a banner which states your viewing has been interrupted due to poor freeview signal, press help for more information. The bt vision box when it runs checks the signal says it is good.
    The problem is I can't find a way to remove the banner. I've pressed exit, select, help every button on the remote but the banner remains making watching tv live extremely,annoying. How can I remove the banner?

  • How to remove channel from DAQmx Task

    I need to add remove channels from the task programmatically. How can I achieve it.
    Also while downloading my program to RT controller my system stops responding if I have DAQmx timing VI in my program. My program is running fine on windows system with DAQmx Timing.

    How are you using the DAQmx Create Task.vi? Are you using it to include a global channel or copy a task that was previously created in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)? If this is the case the only way to remove a channel would be to delete the global channel or modify the physical channels for that task in MAX. If you are creating a new task you can use the DAQmx Create Channel.vi to specify the physical channels that you would like to include or exclude.

  • Problem removing login banner

    Hi All,
    For security purposes, I am trying to prevent a Solaris 2.5.1 system from displaying any hardware or software information when a telnet session is initiated. To achieve this, I have removed the /etc/motd file, modified the /etc/default/telnetd file to include the line BANNER="", and created a /etc/issue file. When a user telnets to a Solaris 2.6 system configured this way, they see only the disclaimer contained in the /etc/issue file and then the login prompt. When I configure a Solaris 2.5.1 system in this manner, however, the following line is displayed before the /etc/issue:
    UNIX(r) System V Release 4.0 (servername)
    Anyone know what generates this line and how I can get rid of it?
    Thanks,
    John Frizzell

    Hi John,<br><br>
    Unfortunately in Solaris 2.5.1 and earlier, this banner message<br>
    is hardcoded in the in.telnetd daemon. It's only with Solaris 2.6<br>
    that the configuration variable BANNER has been introduced, <br>
    precisely to allow system administrators to remove any mention<br>
    of the type and version of the OS.<br>
    <br>
    <br>
    So, there is no official solution to your problem on 2.5.1<br>
    but there are ways around it:<br>
    <br>
    - Binary edit the file /usr/sbin/in.telnetd and put some \0<br>
    characters instead of the beginning of the string<br>
    - Or get a public domain in.telnetd daemon and compile it yourself<br>
    <br>
    Of course, none of these options would be supported :-).<br><br>

  • Remove channel from DAQmx AI task - reconfigure existing task

    Is there still no way to remove an AI channel from an existing DAQmx task? I know that it's possible to add a channel to a task using DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan.
    Removing seems to be possible only by clearing the task and creating a new one, but this ends up in error -50103 (The Specified Resource is Reserved.) at creating and clearing a task continuously (after ~ 100 - 1000 iterations).
    Measuring device is USB-6225.
    Any idea ?

    Unless you want to learn how to do this with the Excel add-on called Measure, you should post to the much more appropriate Multfunction DAQ board.

    No, when I use
    weblogic.httpd.errorPage.XXX with customized error pages, I don't have this.
    I use this now but if you have an other solution (as ServerSignature in Apache),
    let me know.

  • Possible to remove default banner?

    Hi, all. When my form is opened in Adobe Reader, there is a default purple banner at the top that says: Please fill out the following form. If you are a form author, choose Distribute Form in the Forms menu to distribute it to your recipients.
    Is there a way that I can suppress this banner? Thanks!
    Suzanne

    This may be a bit late for you, but I wanted to add my response for others that may be searching the internet for answers.
    In your orignal form, go to File, then Properties.
    Once there, select the Inital View Tab. After that, in the User Interface Options section, click "Hide window controls"
    This will disable the "purple bar" completely. You will then need to re-save and re-open the file and voila.
    Edited to Add: Oh yeah, this is NOT an April Fools Joke - lol

  • How to Remove Premium Channels Like HBO or Cinemax

    I wanted to document this because nobody should have to go through the hoops I just had to.  Sadly, I'm sure others have gone through much more.  Follow these steps to remove channels you no longer want to pay for, or avoid paying for because their free trial is about to expire:
    log in here - https://www22.verizon.com/ForyourHome/Registration/Reg/OrLogin.aspx (Note: This login page could be different then what you're used to signing in to.  I have no clue why there are different systems that you can log into.)
    make sure the tab that says TV is selected in the middle of the screen towards the top
    select the add/change channels hyperlink towards the middle of the page
    uncheck whatever channel or bundle you no longer what to have
    select the Next button at the bottom of the page
    review the Order and select Next
    at this point I can't remember the rest of the steps, but they should be very self-explanatory
    Also, if you're trying to get actual help via chat, go to the home page for Verizon FiOS and act like you're going to order new service.  As you click around you'll find a link to chat to a rep.  Click there and they can help you out just like any other customer service rep.  I would just give the link if I could find it again.  For being an internet provider, Verizon FiOS' site is TERRIBLE.

    I have been going around in circles for like 30 minutes trying to figure out how to remove HBO. I tried what you said, but I don't see any link that says add/change channels. Everything I click on keeps taking me back to a page to "compare tv plans". I am about to go insane...when I tried to chat, I typed in my message and when I hit send, it said Chat no longer available, sorry!
    The post you are replying to is over 3 years old. It is very likely Verizon has changed the structure of the pages and moved stuff, they do that all the time.
    I don't know where you need to go since I do not have any premium channels that I could try to remove, but I would start at MyVerizon and click on the Shop button.

  • How to remove a Family Guy banner under my toolbar? Updated Firefox, still there

    Have a Dell 530 desktop. Showing a Family Guy (TV show) banner in the toolbar area, all bars are over the banner and seem to be transparent, hard to see. Tried all I know to remove this banner, even removed old browser and installed latest. Still there.

    Just like wjosten said. All that you 'lose' is your wi-fi passwords, Bluetooth pairings, and your custom background, if any.  But you don't lose any actual data, like photos, contacts, etc.

  • Remove network login banner

    At some point in the setup of my AEX, there was an option to enter a text string as a login banner -- a message that pops up on the wireless client when it first connects to the network (e.g. "welcome to the network", "authorized access only", etc.)
    Now, I'd like to remove the banner I entered but searching through all of the config pages, I don't see any place to change it or remove it.
    Am I missing the place to change it? Any hints would be appreciated. Thanks.

    That has never been an option before. I think that it must be coming from a different device on your network. What is the AirPort Express (AX) connected to?

  • How can I select a channel on the RT target with a VI on the host?

    Maybe I'm trying to pound a square peg into a round hole, so please let me know if I'm abusing LV, but ...
    I'm trying to parameterize our RT VI app that deals with digital output channels.  We use the same basic VI for multiple configurations.  The only thing that changes is the channel allocations.  So for instance, actuator 1 is on port0/line5 for one configuration and port1/line2 in another.  I really don't like the idea of modifying the VI every time we have a new configuration because it makes configuration management insane.  If I make a change to the basic VI, now I have to upate N copies of the VI and hope I catch everything.
    So I'm making the main app VI read an XML configuration file that specifies all the allocations.  Sounds great at first, but how do I create the XML file?  I created a VI that manages the data in the VI, allowing the user to add/remove channels and edit the name and channel and then save it to an XML file.  The configuration is comopsed of an array of clusters, with the cluster containing the name and DAQmx channel.  My intent was to let the user select the channel from the list of valid channels by using the DAQmx Global Channel control.  But the problem is, the configure VI runs on the host, which doesn't see any of the channels because they are on the RT target.  But if I try to run the configure VI on the target, it refuses to deploy because I have GUI widgets.
    Is my approach fundamentally flawed?  Is there a better way of parameterizing our VI?  Or is there a trick to getting access to the valid channels on the host VI?  The information MUST be available because after all, when I modify a target VI and select a global channel constant, I'm doing this on the host.
    Thanks,
    Keith.

    Hi Keith,
    you can handle the channels like "normal" strings. See the attached picture.
    Hope it helps.

  • Is it possible to turn off a channel in DAQ?

    I am using 4*PXI-6070E to acquire 64 channels simultanously. Is it possible to turn off one or several channels during acquisition? Which function or property node should I use? I have tried using property node "disable" in waveform graph but it seems didn't work. That channel is still running and the data is still here. Can anyone help me plz? THX a lot!

    Once a set of channels are configured in a task and being acquired, you cannot reconfigure the task (add/remove channels) without stopping the running task
    What you could do is to: Use array functions ( like index array) to create a subset of channels you require, from the set of channels being acquired

    I am not a Kaspersky user and no other Firefox users who have Kaspersky have responded to your question. Anything other response from here will be purely a "guess" and will be time consuming for you and delay your resolution of this problem, unless a Kaspersky user who has experienced and solved a similar problem posts a reply. Kaspersky installs various items into Firefox through the Windows registry and <u>you need the advice of an experienced Kaspersky user like those you will find on the Kaspersky forum</u>.
