Remove Contacts from all Devices and PCs

Hi:
I'm an old Skype user and i have never been in the need of removing contacts since i had to remove one two weeks ago.
I did the "remove contact" from Skype for iPad... Then i logged in with skype for mac and everything ok, the contact was not showing in my list. But today, my Android Skype logged in accidentaly and it had an old contact list because it has been offline for weeks. When i checked the contacts, it showed the contact that i removed two weeks ago as "pending request", and then when i checked it in Skype for Mac it appeared again as "pending request".
My question is:
Is Skype sending a request to a contact that i removed when i sign in from a device that was not connected when i performed the removal?
Do this contact receive any kind of contact request when that happens? or is it only a sync problem between devices?
I'm concerned because i don't want to seem sending a request every time i sign in from a device that was not connected when i actually removed that contact for privacy reasons.
Regards!

All Contacts is exactly what it says, all of your contacts. You can't remove contacts from that group.

Sounds like you have an IMAP/Exchange mail account (vice a POP3 account). By design, an IMPA/Exchange account synchronized your mail boxes among different devices. That behavior can't be changed.

  • HT204022 how can I be sure a photo or video has been completely deleted from all devices and iCloud?

I see all the information about deleting photos from Photo Stream, but is that the same as the iCloud and if not, how can I delete something completely from all devides and my iCloud account?

Sorry, I can't tell what it is you're trying to ask. What does the warranty have to do with your intention to return the iPad (to whomever) and get another one?
There's no way to deactivate a warranty.
The warranty transfers with the machine, has nothing to do with the owner.
Look around in the Support pages, you can figure out a way to type in your serial number and see what your current warranty status is.

  • Deleting photostream photos from Mac within iPhoto does not remove photos from all devices.

I have photostream activated on my iPhone 5s (iOS 8.1) to backup all my photos to iCloud. This works great! When I open iPhoto, the stream is automatically updated and my photos appear. If I also delete a photo from my iPhone, the stream is once again updated and the photo disappears.
However, if I delete the photo via iPhoto via the Photostream tab on my Mac, the photostream is not updated and the photo remains on my iPhone, as well as online via icloud.com. i.e it works one way, but not the other.
    Am I doing something wrong?

When you delete a photo from "My Photo Stream" in the iCloud section in iPhoto on your Mac, it will be removed from "My Photo Stream" in iCloud, and should be removed from the Photo Stream on all devices. However, the photos already downloaded to the devices from My Photo Stream will not be deleted. If automatic download is enabled on your iPhone, the photos will stay on your iPhone,

  • How can i remove contacts from my devices

I have installed the new Mountain Lion OSX on my mac and open the Cloud with my apple ID, this ID is also linked to 3 of our families iPhone 4's, and since we have done this, my wife's iphone has all my work contacts on it.
    also,
I have started using the new "messages" app that comes with Lion on our Mac, since doing this all our devices (iphones) are sending and recieving the same messages when we message each other.
how can i manage these two issues please?
    regards Colin R.

thank you very much, that makes sense to me now.. so as i understand it now, i can set up an additional id for the ocloud, but still maintain the itunes account that we all use and want to keep sharing so we can sinc our itunes etc.
if this is correct how do i set up a new (additional) ID for the ICload for our phones? i may do this to mine, as my wife needs to share the icloud with our home mac and her iphone and ipad when she gets one (travels alot)
    many thanks..

  • How do I remove songs from my device and leave it in iCloud?

I set up iCloud match on my PC and iPhone 4s. How do I remove songs on my phone to buy more space for other things? Also, I understand that my iTunes library is matched with better quality versions in the cloud. How can I replace poor quality songs with these better ones?

Also, I understand that my iTunes library is matched with better quality versions in the cloud.
That is not quite true.  When iTunes Match is able to match a song, it matches it to the version sold in the iTunes Store, which is in AAC/256 format.  That may be better or worse than what you already have.
How can I replace poor quality songs with these better ones?
If you wish to replace your current version with the matched version, just delete the current one from your iTunes library and download the matched copy.

  • My iMessage is connected to an itouch that I no longer have. How can I remove it from that device and add it to my iphone?

Previously, my iMessage was connected to an itouch which I no longer have. How do I add my iMessage account to my iphone when the system tells me it is already in use?

The problem with those two apps is that they are supposed to be in your Apple ID and you didn't set up the Mac properly/completely when you got it.
You might try deleteing them and using OS X Recovery to install them again.
    OS X Recovery -
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
After that, before you open any iLife apps go to your Mac App Store account, to the Purchased pane and Accept them into your account.

  • Is it possible to remove "Contacts" from my Mac mini and the reinstall it?

Is it possible to remove "Contacts" from my Macmini and then reinstall it?

The Contacts program has changed the name of a contact that I had a correct email address.
The example you gave (now removed by a moderator) doesn't show that the email address changed. It shows that the recipient's name associated with the address changed. I don't know why that happened, but it doesn't necessarily indicate a problem with Contacts. You might have had two contacts with the same address.
I don't seem to have a Address button in my toolbar.
Open a message-editing window and select
    View ▹ Customize Toolbar...
from the menu bar. From the sheet that opens, drag the button labeled Address upward (not downward) into the toolbar if it's not already there, then click Done.
Click the button to see a list of your contacts. You can make multiple selections.

  • I deleted a contact from my phone and it synced with all my other devices including my Mac. However, I have setup time machine and have many previous backups. Can I open or use a file in back ups to get my contact back? Where and which one? Thanks!

    Its all in the question.
I have backups from months ago.
And ICLOUD deleted my contact from others devices.

Bring the Contacts window forward, then enter Time Machine and scroll back to a snapshot that includes the contacts you want to restore. Select the contacts and click the Restore button in the lower right corner of the screen.
If you don't have a Time Machine backup, but your contacts are all on iCloud and haven't been overwritten, then you can recover them by following the instructions on this page. Double-click the downloaded file to import it into Contacts. This procedure will not work if you've synced an empty Contacts database to iCloud.

  • How do i erase a corrupt contact list from iCloud,iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro and restore Address Book backup to all devices and cloud?

how do i erase a corrupt contact list from iCloud,iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro and restore Address Book backup to all devices and cloud?
I saved a corrected, most up to date version of my master Address Book Contacts as a back-up on my Mac Book Pro.
then in an effort to "simplify my life"  i attempted to sync my I phone contacts - ( pre clean-up version) with my clean list on Mac Book Pro, New I pad and newly available icloud. DUH!! Using iTunes to do the sync caused the clean MacBOOK Pro list to be commingled with the dirty iphone contacts. amd now the whole mess is in the cloud.
I need to clear out the contaminated lists from all iplaces, and startover with Back-up on my macbook pro. BUT HOW???
    Help
    Karen

I had exported an address book backup: abbu
so since i wrote, i have found my way into the cloud: selected all entries - deleted them all from the cloud.
This wiped out contacts on my iphone and i pad, and MBP, as well as on the cloud.  I then imported the abbu back into my now empty address book.
To repopulate the crowd, i selected all in my address book and created a single card vCard for export to my desktop.  I then dragged that vcard into my empty cloud.  Now my cloud has the same clean contacts as my MBP addressbook.  The cloud then pushed the clean contacts into my empty ipad and iphone contacts.
I had to go back to Address Book>preferences>Accounts and Add an I cloud account - but if you accidentally create a second i cloud account - all of a sudden your address book will duplicate itself.  I quickly reversed it by deleting one of the icloud accounts in my Address Book>preferences>Accounts.
I created a new entry on my MBP and it is now on all devices and in cloud
I also created a new entry on my iPhone and it is now in the address book on my MBP.
    I feel empowered!!
    Have i missed anything??

  • I have an Ipad and several Ipods. We have deleted some songs from our devices but they still show up gray shaded. They don't play but I'd like to know how you remove them from your devices completly?

I have several Ipods and an Ipad. We have all deleted music from our devices and the problem we are having is the song itself is gone which is what we wanted but the song title is still on the devices. It's grey and it won't play but I want to know how to remove the deleted songs completely off my devices.

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • TS4108 Hello, all my Contacts from iPhone 5s and also from iCloud disappeared yesterday. Is it possible to get them back? Please Help. Thank you.

    Hello,
All my Contacts from iPhone 5s and also from iCloud disappeared yesterday. Can I get them back?
    Please Help.

If you begin syncing contacts with iCloud you will be given the option to merge your contacts with the accout.  If you do, your contacts will be uploaded to the account and will appear on both your phone and hers (if she is sharing the same account/ID).  Be aware that if you do this, if she then deletes your contacts from her device, they will also be deleted from yours and they will be lost.  For this reason, it's usually recommended that different users maintain separate iCloud accounts with separate IDs, which makes it easier for users to restore contacts from iCloud.

I tried to access my books on the IPad Mini through the Kindle app. The message reads "Please remove the books from your device and redownload them from your Cloud items if possible.  If the problem persists, try to deregister your applications and register it again."

When the Kindle app was updated - none of my books showed up on my iPad. Here is what I did and I did it all on the iPad.
    Go to amazon.com
    Sign into your account
Tap on - Your Account - in the upper right  corner
Tap on Manage your Kindle - next to the Digital Content section on the left side.
Find your books in the next window
Tap on the Actions Icon next to the book title
Tap on deliver to - select your iPad
Go back to your Kindle app and see if it downloads

  • Why are my emails not deleting from all devices when deleted from one?  I have iCloud set up and turned on. I have ipad2, iphone5 and a Mac. What am I doing wrong?  Thank you

Why are my emails not deleting from all devices when deleted from one?  I have iCloud mail set up and turned on. I have ipad2, iPhone 5 and a Mac desktop. What am I doing wrong?  Thank you.

It depends on the type of email account you are using, not on iCloud.  If you are using an IMAP or exchange account, when you delete from one device, it is deleted from all devices.  If you are using a POP (POP3) account, it won't.  (iCloud email, Gmail and Yahoo are all IMAP accounts.)
