Remove Deletion flag on storage location

i want to remove the  deletion flag on storage location and plant.
Kindly let me know how to process it

Hi Raja,
Just un-tick at plant level and press enter. Storage Location tick will be cleared automatically. Then SAVE. And later if you want to maintain only for storage location, then enter material/plant/storage location in intial screen of MM06 and tick only storage location

    I have a material that is created in some plants and also in some storage locations within each plant. If I mark the deletion flag at plant level I am not able to create a PO -> Me051 error message appears. Whereas if I mark the deletion flag at storage location level nothing appens. I am able to create a PO and also to create to goods receipt. Is there any customization that I should do in order to get the error message?

    storage location level deletion flag is not checked at order creation.
    it is assumed that you can change the storage location when you do the receipt.
    MRP run is at plant level, so the requirement is valid even the storage location view is flagged for deletion.

  • Deletion flag at functional location - equipment installation sallowed

    Small question, when we set deletion flag at functional location we can still instal equipment in transaction IE02. Is it possible to configure LF in such way that after setting delation flag or inactivation FL equipment installation shouldn't be allowed??
    We wanted to do it by user status but we can't.

    Hi Joanna,
    Try using user exit IEQM0001 and write a custom code, not to allow equipment being installed in deleted / inactive function location.

    If u want to delete the storage loc for a single material then do the same thro' mm06, enter the material # and storage loc, put a del ind tick & save it.
    If u want to delete the storage location itself from plant then u can do the same as told above, thro OX09 by making the stock nil

    The material is flag for deletion at client level, but unfortunately its stock is not removed,in one plant now this stock is to be removed from that plant & then marked for deletion, what to do.

    I am currently a student at RSU learning SAP and in trying to delete a material that had incorrect data I tried flagging the item for immediate deletion. Well I found out how to fix the standard price and when I went on to create the bill of materials is wouldn't let me because the material was flagged for deletion. After searching for this issue and solution I was able to remove the flag and finish the assignment. Thank you for having this trouble shooting information available to us.

    Follow path Production- Master Data- Material Master- Flag for Deletion- Immediately MM06.
    Give input for the material & execute.
    Remove the deletion flag & save.

    Basic Question

    The same way as you set it.
    Select the WBS Edit>Status>DeletionFlag-->Undo

    I am new to SAP MM module. I have created 5 storage locations in which i need to delete 3 locations.
    What all precautions shouls i keep in mind before deleting the 3 storage locations. Kindly explain in details.

    If you have Stock in that 3 Storage Locations then First you Transfer the Stock (Should be nil) into another Storage Locations and Delete the Storage Locations in Trxn code OX09
    If you have Extended / Created Material to that Storage Location then Set the Deletion Flag using MM06 at Stor Locn Level & save.
    You can Perform the Stock Transfer using MB1B  / MIGO 311 Movement type.

    If you want to delete material at storage location level
    Enter MM17
    Select table MARD
    Select fields tab
    find MARD-LVORM
    Execute (F8)
    Enter list of materials
    Enter plant
    enter storage location.
    tick the field lvorm(carry out mass change)

    hi all,
    to remove deletion flag from your PO you can use both the transactions ME22N and and MEMASSPO.
    choose the line items that you want to undelete and press the undelete button.
    NOTE-PO at line items will be successfully deleted if only-No MIGO and MIRO has been done.
    OR both MIGO and MIRO has been done.
    If only MIGO has been done No MIRO at that moment You will not be able to undelete the PO.In this case you will obtain a error message shown below.
    "Quantity delivered differs from qty ordered(Function not possible)".

    You can flag all materials for deletion at this storage location level.
    Set the message to error so that you will not be able to post any movements with this storage location for the alredy extended materials.
    If you do not want any new material to be extended to this storage location then you can use MGA00001 user exit to do the check & issue error message.

    Dear,
    If you created an material by error and you want to delete that material from the data base you can do it in this simple 4 steps. The only condition is that this material has to have no material movement recorded.
    These are the steps:1
    1) Flag material for deletion. transaction MM06
    2) Run report MMREO001 - Selection of materials flagged for deletion and select the material
    3) Run report MMREO050 Archive Materials to archive the material (some customisig settings might be required)
    4) Run report MMREO110 Deletion Program for Archiving Materials to delete the material from the database.
    These reports are called by the SARA transaction too.

    Hi all,
    I have an issue of Subreq in MD04 which is not assigned to the the good MRP area.
    I'm explaining :
    Business process
       -> I work with a subcontractor
            case 1 : either I buy raw material to be processed and delivered it directly to my subcontractor
            case 2 : either I send raw material from my physical stock to my subcontractor
       -> I create subcontracting purchase order with indication as components, the raw material.
       -> In case of the components are already in my subcontractor (case 1), the reservation (Subreq) should not consume my physical stock.
       -> In case of the components are in my physical stock (case 2), the reservation (Subreq) should consume the physical stock.
    Solution choosen
    Then I decided to create a storage location MRP area : "EXTERN" as External.
    I assigned a storage location "EXT" to this MRP area.
    I assigned this MRP area to the material in MRP1 / MRP Area.
    In the purchase order, in the components popup,
      For case 1 :  I assigned "EXT" as Prod.Stor.Loc and Supply area
      For case 2 : nothing special is filled
    Issue
    For the case 1, althought I assigned the storage location "EXT", the Subcontractor Requirement is not attached to the good MRP area.
    WHY?
    Remark : I didn't use the subcontracting MRP area because I would like to have 2 cases : case 1 & case 2.

    The most important point to understand the system behavior is the fact that the withdrawal of the (subcontracting) component is generally carried out during the goods receipt for an SC procurement proposalfrom the subcontractor stock that is managed at plant level from an inventory management point of view and that has no reference to a storage location at all.
    This causes that subcontractor requirements can never enter a storage location MRP area, since you can later not post the withdrawal from this MRP area.
    Thus SC-requirements always enter the SC segment of the plant MRP area or the SC-MRP area.
    The SC MRP area in turn is supplied by stock transfer reservations from the plant MRP area or via third-party order processing through procurement proposals with goods receipt directly to the subcontractor. A supply through the materials planning from a storage location MRP area is not possible.
    For the above reason, SC-requirements do also not carry any storage location, since the storage location does not have any control function at all for SC-requirements:
    You cannot and you should not determine a storage location MRP area (see above), and the subcontractor MRP area is determined via the vendor of the procurement proposal, thus it is independent of the storage location.
    See also Note 376050 on this topic that makes a modification available which prevents the deletion of the storage location in the subcontractor requirements, so that you can use, for example, customer-specific reports to analyze the storage location.
    Please observe that the mentioned modification note 376050 only makes the storage location available on table RESB, so that you can use it on custom report. This modification will not make the storage location to be considered by MRP or on MD04.

       I am generating a purchase requisiton for an external operation from a production order. This purchase req is a std purchase req and account assignment is F (production order). The line item does not have a storage location due to which the ME59N fails. Does anyone know how I can get the strorage location for this external operation purchase req to populate and how I can get the ME59N to work for purchase reqs of these kinds ?
