Remove downloads

I have downloads available that I would like to delete without downloading. I tried deleting from the downloads, but they keep reappearing. They are for a TV series that was unintentionally purchased (for free), and to download would occupy loads of hard drive space that I cannot afford to give up.
How can I cancel these downloads?

I had the same problems and played due to not having enough memory on my iPhone. I went to my settings and clicked on general. Then i clicked on usage. In usage i clicked on the video tab and there it had and edit button in the top right corner which allowed me to delete the videos both downloaded and pending downloading. Hope this helps some out.

If the apps were not put back on after the device was synced then no, it will not affect the storage capacity on your iPod. If you would like to delete them, you can in the sidebar of iTunes at the left toward the top under Library. There should be an Apps section along with Music, Movies etc.

Accidentally removed download from dock

Hi, I'm a new mac user. I accidentally removed download and documents from the dock and I want them back. Not sure how to do this. Thanks

Downloads and Documents are folders in your home folder (the one with the house icon). The icons in the Dock are just aliases (shortcuts) to those folders.
To restore them to the Dock, just drag the folder from the home folder in the Finder window to it's place in the Dock (to the right of the divider, or below it if you have the Dock down the side). Wait until the other icons move out of the way for it before releasing the mouse button.
Don't try to drag the ones from the Finder sidebar; they're just aliases too.

how to remove download from itunes account forever, im trying to download TV show, 18 were downloaded and im stuck with 2, it keep gives me an error says " unable to download episode ", i need to remove and re download, i even tried to slide my hand in it in my videos to make delete button appear and nothing appears up, even on my pc, they aren't appearing on there, how to remove them so i could redownload ?

Removing "Download" in photo gallery

I have been trying to remove the "Download" feature in the photo gallery but haven't have any success. I have tried even going into the source code.
Anyone has successfully done that either on iWeb 09 or in the source code?

You do it in the Inspector/Photos/Photos pane. Set the download size to none.

Can I remove download folder from desktop without deleting

My Downloads folder has gotten on my desktop and now to remove it I have to put it in the trash and lose all my downloads. Is there something else I can do? It is already on my dock and in finder, but once I put the download folder from the desktop in the trash it removes my downloads from finder and the dock.

Open a Finder window and navigate to your User directory (it will typically have folders including Desktop, Documents, Movies, Music, Pictures). Click the arrow to the left of Desktop and you should see the Downloads folder that is currently on your desktop. Drag that Downloads folder (or the Downloads folder on your desktop -- they are the same) to the blank space in the Finder window below the other folders -- i.e., below Documents, Movies, etc.)

I have too many files saved in the "downloads" area of my computer. I would like to delete the file and not just remove the name from the list. Removing the name from the list does not remove or delete the file.

If you see them in the Download Manager window then you can use "Open Containing Folder" in the right-click context menu to go to the folder where the files were downloaded and delete them from that folder.<br />
If that entry is grayed then the files are no longer in that folder.

How do I remove download links/button redirect to accurate download

When I go to some sites that have a download link underscored in blue or a button next to text or any other part of the page, I was able to click and download the file. When you point at the link or button you would see the path it will take to download the file. It would have the website name your visiting plus other codes.
But on returning to these sites, when I choose what I want to download, the link or button wants to go to accuratedownload.com. It presents the name of the item I want and with a .EXE extension. My main browser is Firefox version 26.0 on my XP PC. I test Internet Explorer and it produces the same results. Something has changed. I go to the site on my mobile phone, I am able to download the file from the same site and the links/buttons are not embedded with codes to go to accuratedownload.com. I do not know what to call this problem since I had no luck in finding solutions to redirection being embedded in a link or button on a web page that worked fine.
I've tried a reset Firefox, my profile, running Symantec Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes Anit-Malware, Clearing history and so on. The problem still occurs. Need Help.
Note: It would be nice if when the Download Screen pops-up, that we could rename the download file to a name we want (Saves time). Even if you rename the file, the history should record where it came from with the original name if it needs to be downloaded again.

To let you know, When I did a reset and restarted Fire Fox without the Add on's. I tested each user account on my PC. Each user account that used Fire Fox or Windows Explorer showed the same symtoms.
Back to troubleshooting, I've completed a scan using Sothos Free Virus Removal Tool. After a lengthy scan of every drive, partition, USB Thumb Drive and so on that it found, in about 5.5 hours it found Mal/FakeAvCn-C, Mal/JavDlEx-A and CXmal/BadLnk-A and continued by clicking the Clean Up button and that took about 15 minutes for some reason. Then it asked to send the log to Sophos. I clicked send and it failed to get to them.
I tried going on the internet to test the cleanup by clicking on some links and buttons. I could not get on the internet. I found that the NIC card was not working. Don't know why now but probably was affected by the scan. I found myself troubleshooting and reinstalling NIC drivers several times before the NIC card started to run correctly.
I read you post and tried to change the proxy settings in Fire Fox to "No Proxy." The scan, clean up and proxy settings change did not remove the embedded paths in links or buttons that allow you to download or be sent to the intended location. It still had paths to accuratedownload.com and eachdownload.com.
Question: By default is the proxy setting suppose to be "Use system proxy settings"? Should I put this back to this setting.
Windows Explorer has the same problem. Is Fire Fox a stand alone product or does it build parts of itself using Windows Explorer?

Besides the scans and removal done to the registry, the scans it did on the files and folders, the Sophos log shows the virus attached to files in Documents and Folders, All Users (and other user accounts), Application and data folders, Java and Cache, including any shortcuts and long cryptic files like (pg42l784fcuo452hsb6cfbkoke045p75f2e02887m).
When programs fail to delete or cleanup after themselves, what locations can be safely deleted manually?

Removing Download option in Photo Album

Im doing a web to show my photo work, Im using a photo Album, I want to remove the download option, I don´t want to give the option of downloading to the people that will visit it.

I have developed my photography web site in iWeb 08. When you click on a photo to enlarge it, there are three options above the enlarged photo: Back to Album, Slideshow or Download. I do not want to allow downloading. How can I remove this option?

As you suggested, I checked the box "Display Comment Indicator" and re-published my web page. The Download option is still there when images are clicked and enlarged.
Previously, I had both the "Allow Comments" and "Display Comment Indicator" unchecked.
It must be somewhere else.

Remove Download link for photos

I'm using the Darkroom theme to create a site and have added some photo pages. Each photo page includes a "Download" link, which I'd like to remove.
In the Inspector, I can see how to change the size of the download file and I can also see how to enable and disable and RSS subscription link but the Download link remains stubbornly in place.
What should I do to remove the Download link?

Can't remove downloaded application from download window or its stucked.

I was trying to download Google Earth and i dont understand its stuck on Firefox's download window see picture below, anyone have idea how to remove this from download window, i cant even right click on it, please advice.

Mine keeps doing the same thing. I have the 3g iPhone. I have an application that said it needed to be updated. I clicked update; however, it didn't complete. Now it just sits there.
The terrible thing about mine is that it makes my iPhone basically not work. It brings it to a crawl (often won't let other apps work) and constantly restarts the iPhone. I've had this happen before, and I restored everything. That helped until I did updates again. Now it seems like I will have to restore yet again! AHHHHHHHH!!!!

There is no edit function in iBooks after updating to ios 8. Removing or moving downloaded books is impossible.

select displaying books as list (top left button)
on the book you want to delete, tab to left and click delete.

Remove "Download available"??

Purchase a TV show long ago. I don't need the HD version and it's too large for my connection. It's just stuck there forever. Do I have to download it to get rid of it??
(I wish I was given a choice, rather then downloading 2GB overall...)
Sadly, the iTunes support page does not have any category to this problem, and there's no way of submitting a problem not listed in the support list. You have to fit a category and sub-category before getting an option to contact them, and it's very limited. No option like "My problem is not listed".
Any ideas?

I didn't try that actually... It seems there's only a way to report a file 'not downloading'. My problems is the opposite. But you may be right, I just didn't try it.
After talking with Applecare, they recommend submitting it under a somewhat related category (I believe under "transaction problem"), and just write down my actual problem.
And sure enough, 15 minutes later, problem was solved, file was removed, peace and happiness ensue.
