Remove edges

Hi, ALL!
If
you know how to remove the edges around the labels at the front panel
then
explain me, please
end.
I know how to do this in LabVIEW 4.x and 5.x but
I don't know in LabVIEW 3.x. Where are examples in 3.x both
with the edges and without the edges, but in Edit\Preferences where are
no appropriate toggle option. :-(
Hope, somebody knows. If so, thanks. Write me: [email protected]

You can drop back to the original method of removing label borders -
paint them transparent. (select "T" as the color, then paint the label)

  • Remove edges in closely curved strokes?

As you can see, the base for the shape is fluid and curved, but since it is so close and big it creates corners. Is there any way, besides expanding the stroke and curving it manually, to remove the edges? Preferrably while still maintaining the editabiliy of the stroke.

    Baard,
You might also (working on a copy) try a combination of Handle and Anchor Point adjustment, changing the directions and lengths of the relevant Handles and moving the Anchor Points a bit about.
When you look at the screenshot, the spine is rounded, but not enough: it has to be much more rounded to also have the concave edge of the stroke rounded.
You should be aware that it is necessary to change the actual shape. The task is to get as close as possible to the overall appearance.
The obvious combination would be a direction somewhat (further) away from the rounding and a moderate shortening, probably with a limited move.

    Hi Andrej,
I'd suggest using the Get Image Subset VI. This VI allows you to specify a bounding box to cut out from your image based on data specified within a cluster called 'Subset Rect' (Left, Top, Right, Bottom) which specifies the pixel co-ordinates of each corner of the selection region. The image is taken as Image Data; a String which can be generated when using the Read JPEG/Read PNG/Read BMP VIs.

  • How do I remove white jagged edges after making image transparent?

How do I remove white jagged edges after making image transparent?  Is there a feature to help out with this?

It's a file format limitation. GIF supports 1 bit of transparency.  That is 2^1 (which equals 2 total) levels of transparency.  This equates to either NO transparency at all, or specifying 1 single color of the 256 total possible values to being fully transparent.
This will leave a very ugly fringe around the edge no matter what; it will only not be visible in color that match or are close to the fringe color; and then, that's a perception issue.
Try creating an alpha channel and saving the image as a PNG.  That supports 8 bits of transparency, which equals 2^8 or 256 total different levels of transparency.  This will let your image have very smooth edges with no jagged transitions.

  • Removing unwanted white edges from a checkbox (radiobutton)

Is there a way to remove the white edges of a radiobutton ( by making the edges transparant or something like that?)
    see:

    thanks in advance.

try to set the background color of the checkbox to the background color of the panel or frame you are using.
checkbox1.setBackground(getBackground()); // assuming you are calling this function in the parent panel or frame.
    Hope that works.

  • How do I remove lines at moving edges?

    Hello
I would like to know how to get rid of these lines (around the edges): they show mainly where there's movement happening in the image.
I exported the movie from FCP using compressor: settings were
    • DVD: Best quality 90 minute
    • Encoder/ Video: aspect ratio 16:9, Quality 2pass, Motion: Best, Ave Bit Rate 7.6, 8.9 max
    GOP: IBP, size 7, closed
    (with frame controls)
Is there anything I can do to remove/ lessen them?
    Thank you
    Elizabeth
(Video was from NTSC DV tape)

That maximum and average bit rate is way too high for a 90 minute encode.
Well, i'm new at this and have to rely on books to teach myself: the +Apple Pro Training+ book on DVD Pro 4 says " the more bits per second ... the more color, luma, or audio information ..., which results in ... better video and audio quality" (p. 196) It has more info too about dvd players and reading the code, but as I only have one angle, one audio track for this movie, there isn't a lot of information to process so a larger file is acceptable for my dvd. (and it does play on a dvd player)
Why are you using frame controls, and altering the settings of the encode?
Why? because I'm not afraid to tinker around to get the best quality product. +Final Cut Pro Portable Genius+ says that the frame controls increase the quality of compression, but just add time to the encoding process.
It isn't a large project, just 55 minutes or so in total and i am trying to get the best quality possible. As it is, in DVDP it's only 3.4 gig in total size, including content added to the rom.
Use the 90 best quality DVD SD preset and make certain you use the ac3 audio setting.
That's where I started and customized, to suit the size of the project (as both sources suggest doing). Audio is not the problem.
Also, what is the total length of the video in minutes, and how are you viewing the footage?
The total length of the video is 42 minutes , with another track of 9 minutes
Computer or DVD player with TV?
Computer for the screen shots. But played on a dvd player (TV) the lines are also visible.
This project has been in development for weeks, and i actually completed it 2 weeks ago to burn in DVDP and test. I just have to add another name to the acknowledgements and since I have to re export it from FCP, I thought I would try to get rid of these edges. In FCP I tried virtually every possible way to export, yet the lines were always there, except when using h.264 but that's probably because they weren't sharp any more

  • Photos on Apple TV.  Portrait with black edges not removable with mirroring or Edit.  Any suggestions?

I use Apple TV to show photos to friends.  However, if the photo is in Portrait format there are large black sections at each side on the the TV screen.  Mirroring or Edit do not remove these black edges even though on the iPad I can  change the set up.  Any suggestions please?

Mirroring mirrors the 4:3 shape of the new iPad screen - the best output you'll get will be 4:3 filled with black at the sides.
Try standard Airplay instead of mirroring (which is not available on the iPad 1).

  • 'jagged edges' due to interlacing after editing with 2 cams. How to remove?

I just finished a project in FCE, combining footage from a Sony HVR-Z7 and a Canon HV30. As the shooting itself took place some time ago, I'm not sure if the Canon was in 'plain HD' (which means interlaced, I presume) or in '25 pf', (which means Progressive), but I'm afraid it was in 'interlaced' mode. The Sony was certainly in Progressive mode. After lengthy editing, the finished movie looks perfect on a computer monitor, but on my plasma tv I get jagged edges in the Canon HV30-images. Not all of the time, though. Can this be corrected in the edited sequence in any way? I don't want to start all over again...

Does it look like this on the sloping back of the car?
I have only discovered 2 ways of getting rid of it.
    1. Down-convert your HDV to DV in the camera as you are capturing and edit in a DV sequence or
    2. Edit as AIC and then drag your edited AIC sequence into a new DV sequence. Do not alter anything but render it (which takes a long time) and then File>Export>QT Movie.
P.S. My videos are not blurred. If I remove the blur in the picture, the jagged edges disappear!

  • Adjusting pixels in PhotoShop CS4 and removing 'rough edges'

    PhotoShop CS4
    WinVista Ultimate
Need: 1) File #1 - I need to adjust the pixels on an *.eps file to a maximum of 600 pixels. The entire drawing is a single layer to my knowledge.
              2) File #2: - I also need to adjust the rough edges of a 'cloud' that surrounds some text.  Also, *.eps.  The 'cloud' is separate from the text.  If I remember correctly, I need to 'fill in' the 'cloud'.
    Both file sizes are <1MB.
Eventually, I'd like to combine File #1 with File #2.
File #1 and #2: Status: Currently, I have some *.jpg and *.eps files that need adjustments that were created 2+ years ago.  Being new to PS CS4, some guidance would be appreciated.
    TIA!

I to have the same issue and it all started after switching photoshop cc's layout to 3d mode now everything crashes repeatedly... Thankgod AE still works but yeah ps 3d system is the culprate here b/c It worked perfectly for 4 months for me until i tried there crappy ps 3d system!

  • Removing white edges

    Hello,
I have a picture that I have extracted from its background in photoshop. Then I place it on another background in my Indesign file. The edges on the picture appear as a fine white line.
Is there a way in Indesign to make the edges of a picture transparent?
    Thank you

As a mere technical footnote to that, the white edges appear because you selected them to be white ...
GIF does not support alpha-level transparency (any level from 0 to 100%) -- it is limited to either transparent or not. Since GIFs are usually used on web pages, and should have visually smooth edges even with this on-off transparency, Photoshop can interpolate the edge colors.  The Save-For-Web dialog (which you presumably used) has an option to change the "background color" -- which is the color on which the image would be placed. Those are stil solid colors, not transparent: the proper alpha mix of the would-be background and the edge color.
(And if you are thinking "That must mean I can change the background to the color I used in my document", go back and read Scott's message.)

  • How do I remove halftones at shape edges?

I am new to Ae. When I make shapes there are these annoying 1 pixel half tones at the edges and they are really visable in this blue colour, if I turn off anti alias (can you even do that in Ae?) the curves will look bad. So can I just snap the straight edges to the pixels or something?

Those are caused by subpixel interpolation. Select your shape layer and press the u key twice to reveal all of the modified properties of your shape then fix the size and position of your shape so that everything is a whole number. If your rectangle is an odd number of pixels high or wide then the anchor point value must.be at a half pixel. IOW if the rectangle is 51 x 100 the anchor point must be sent to 25.5, 50.
Once you start animating position the anti-aliasing will take over again but this usually causes no problems because you cannot judge the quality of your video from a single frame, you have to make your judgment call when the video is playing at speed and full-size on the device you intend to use to present your video. And other words you can't tell if your project is perfect unless you watch it on television if it is intended for television or on a computer monitor if it is intended for YouTube.

  • Remove white spec without bleeding edges

I'm in hopes there is a technique whereas I can paint within the black areas to remove the white spec without worrying about going over the edge, as I would with a black paint brush. I tried different brush blending modes (screen, overlay, multiply) didn't do the trick.

I would think with color range you could select all the highlight white area and delete the white leaving the gray and black area.

  • Remove illuminated edges

Hi, I am working on a packaging project for a cookware product at the moment. Can anyone suggest me as to how I can correct the glowing edges of the product as marked in the images attached. This does not create a problem if the image is placed ona white background but on the black or a darker background , it does create a problem.

If you feather the Selection and move the curve as indicated it should take you to solid black.
Here is another approach to losing  the white line using the image you just posted:
Make a dupe of the image.
    Image > Adjustjments > Invert.
Replicate the Curve shape shown here, then use the Brush to paint in white to lose everything but the line shown.
With the layer that has the black curved line on the layer above the Background, change the line Layer to Multiply.
Use the Opacity slider on the arc layer to bring a whisper of shape back into the base of the bowl

  • Resizing a drawn rectangle removes 'snap to pixels' and gives blurry edges, why?

    Hi,
When i draw a rectangle in photoshop i have to make sure that the "Snap to pixels" is enabled otherwise it will draw a rectangle with blurry edges (firstly why on earth does photoshop do this since its a vector graphic...). I need to then resize this rectangle with free transform (while it is still a vector) however this causes the blurry edges to show again on th rectangle. How do i use the free transform on a rectangle with perfectly crisp edges without causing the blurry effect again?
    Thank you.

Using the gridlines can be a little tricky, you have to look at all the corners before
you commit the transform and make sure you have View>Snap checked or the
path won't snap to the gridlines.
Another option would be to use paths instead of shape layers and then when your
certain of the size and position of the path, use the fill paths option with anti-alias turned off
    and 0 feather radius.
Right click the path in the paths panel and choose Fill Path.

This happens when I have the Menu Bar hidden. It happened with the betas and now with the RC

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
