Remove Enhanced DCS Deployment Support in additional installer for old Version

How can I Remove Remove Enhanced DCS Deployment Support in additional installer list for old labview Versions.
I installed labview 8.5 after installing labview 8.2 and I make a project and create setup for it but when I build, it has problem. it need labview 8.2 install directory (i.e. C:\National Instruments Downloads\LabVIEW\8.2) but I have removed It from my PC,I think I must remove labview 8.2 Enhanced DCS Deployment Support to solve this problem. How Can I do it.

Removing support in Flex framework for compatibility version < 3. We won't support compatibility-version 2 or 2.01 anymore. We only keep compatibility-version for one full release, so for Flex 4, we only support compatibility-version = 3.x.
This should reduce our code-size some as we no longer need this old code. I didn't clean up the compiler's support for compatibility-versioning as it didn't seem worth the effort.

How do i remove the updated garage band? I prefer the old version

I feel very uncomfortable with the update. crashes alot and slow responses. it frustrates me when I can't get things done quickly.

Do you mean GarageBand 10.0?
Just ignore it. The installer for this update left your old GarageBand version installed. It is in a subfolder "GarageBand 6.0.5" of Applications. Just use this version, until the inevitable teething troubles of a new GarageBand 10.0 have been solved.

Struts support in Oracle Workshop for WebLogic Version 10.3

Which version of Struts does Oracle Workshop for WebLogic Version 10.3 support?
I can't get it in the Release Notes or in the tutorial http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13224_01/wlw/docs103/guide/webapplications/struts/strutsTutorial/0.intro.html.

Currently workshop 10.3 facets will only provide struts 1.2 / 1.1 / 1.0
But we can use latest version of the struts like 1.3 also as we need to add those jar files under windows preference >> weblogic shared library.
But later we can change the Facets file and try to work with newer version of struts.

How do I create an installer for older versions of LV?

I have applications, for different customers, in different versions of LabVIEW. After installing the latest update to 8.2 it seems it is no longer possible to create an installer with an identical suite of additional installers. I think it should be possible to rebuild an installer with additional installers of your choice, i.e. older versions!
I would like to change only the LV-app and not the rest in order to avoid potential new problems. To be able to create an installer based on a LV-app in 8.0.1. I now need several CD:s from different LV releases. How could that be solved?

Hi Elinas,
I don't totally get what you want but I think I see your problem.
You want to create an installer with LV7.1 (or something), right?
Then when you build it and say add NI-DAQ drivers the installer asks for the LV 8.2 driver disk?
This is expected, because it is not looking at the LabVIEW version but at the NI-DAQ current version and it's origin (LV 8.2 driver disk).
There is no harm here as long as the up-to-date driver on your computer is backwards compatible (check this, the mentioned NI-DAQ and DAQmx removes older cards at every release!)
So it is not asking for the LV-disk but for the driver disk. If you want to install older drivers, you have to seperately download them from the NI-site and install them seperate (or remove the new one and install the old one, but I think you'll get errors)

Silent or Quiet installation for Bonjour version 2.0.2.0

i need to be able to perform an installation of bonjour without having any user interactions. previous versions i was able to do this using a /S from a command window. version 2.0.2.0 does not respond to /S or /quiet or /quiet /v/qn. is there a non standard command that would accomplish a silent install?

I use Inno Setup and here is how I did it with Bonjour 2.0.2
Download Bonjour: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL999
Rename BonjourPsSetup.exe to Bonjour.cab file and then you can extract the cab file to find Bonjour.msi and Bonjour64.msi.

That will work on either 32 bit or 64 bit Windows as the one installer will silently fail and the other will work properly.

Thanks everybody… I killed the process again in Task manager after trying compatibility modes… noticed something glaring at me as I killed the process. 32 bit. Old workstation on Win7 that was working was 32 bit and the Win8.1 is (drumroll please) 64 bit. MY guess is that if Adobe killed the ability for this to run it would have failed upon an attempt to activate, not upon launch. I think Nancy might have hit it on the head. Let me stew on this for a bit if I really want to pay more for features I already paid for once.

Is there is link to a list or other information as to how long various versions of FF will be supported with security and other updates? I tried searching, but couldn't find anything obvious.

Installation of old version on new PC

Can I install Premiere Elements 4 on my Dell XPS 2710 all-in-one running windows 8 64 bit and intel pentium 5 processor with all other system requirements being met? I have another PC that is running windows 7 64 bit and would like to install on that as well if possible but don't want to waste my time trying if its going to be countless updates and fixes and glitches due to old software version and new OS's.

The only update issued for PRE4 was for Camera Raw and Adobe DNG - a small 6.2MB update http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=101&platform=Windows so I should think you would be fine installing it on your W8 /W7 machines.
Note though that a lot of the modern compressed video formats are unlikely to load to PRE4 and if they do editing may possibly be jerky. But if you're still working with cameras producing PRE4 compatible formats you should be OK.

Not able to remove old version of QuickTime

I use Windows 7 Professional (64bit) and have been using iTunes with no problems. Got a message today to upgrade to the newest version of iTunes. Downloaded the file (the x64 version). Installer uninstalled old version and started to install new version and hung up when it tried to remove QuickTime. Now neither iTunes nor QuickTime are on my computer.
I followed the instructions on the forum to do a clean uninstall of all Apple products including the verification process. iTunes still will not install... gets to the point of installing QuickTime and says it cannot remove the old version and I need to contact my support personnel.
Help! My iPod is useless w/o iTunes!!

The first question is: Do you have the free version or paid for version of PDQ Deploy? This will make a little difference in your approach for deployment.For the .net part, just download the off line installer for the version you want to deploy. This will be in a .exe form just append the /quite /norestart options to the command line. No need to check if .net is already installed, the installer will just exit if there is nothing to do.For your application, you need to find out if there is a silent install option.For the registry you can just export the registry keys in question with regedit. then in your installer action/script just run the following command regedit.exe /s .regYou can add this all to the install sequence if you have the paid for version or in a .cmd file in the same location as the other install files in your packages...

TS5376 When I try to remove "Apple Mobile Device Support" I get a "Fatal error during installation" message. I have windows XP

The program will not start because MSVCR80.dll is missing. I am trying to unistall I tunes and then reinstall it because the latest upgrade did not work. I was able to remove "Itunes" and "apple Software update' but when I tried to remove "Apple mobile device support" I get a "fatal error during installation" message.

First try a repair install of Apple Mobile Device Support. If that goes through successfully, restart the PC and see if you can now uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support.
If the Repair install doesn't help, try using the fixit from the following Microsoft document to remove Apple Mobile Device Support:

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
