Remove fields from contact profile jabber windows

Is it possible remove some fields from the contac profile jabber windows?
For example if you see the attach i want to remove entirely the field "compañia" (company).

No, you only get to choose from which LDAP field to sync the info, not what is shown in the info card.

Can you check the HTML-coding of the view? What is the name of the view? I could also check it in my system, even as we are not using this specific view. My other thought was, that it is a button, then you could remove it from the internal table GT_BUTTON of the IMPL-class of the view, but after rethinking I think it might be in the HTML-coding.

You can use [Personalization|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/42/ed3ce7f8593eebe10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm] to do this :
1. logon as an admin and navigate to Portal Content > Portal Users > Standard Portal Users and open Every User Core Role
2. right click on User Profile and select edit
3. click on the Preview button then right click + CTRL on the iView and personalize the User Profile iView
That's it.

Remove fields from MSS (60.1.2) iViews

Hi, I have one issue related to removing fields from standard iViews in MSS 60.1.2. Could this be handled by object and data provider customizing in R3 or do I have to develop an new iView?

From what I found , the information comes from the following function module:
HRWPC_RFC_EP_READ_GENERALDATA
Returns the following:
The system determines the contact data according to the following procedure:
       1.      The system reads office and telephone data from infotype Internal Control (0032)
       2.      The system reads infotype Communication (0105)
                            a.      The system reads the e-mail address (subtype 0010)
                            b.      If the Internal Control (0032) infotype does not contain a telephone number, the system reads the telephone number from subtype 0020.
       3.      If the system cannot find the data when reading the infotypes and subtypes, it reads user data.
The system reads the remaining data from the Organizational Assignment (0001) and Basic Pay (0008) infotypes.
And does not seem to look at any configuration in the IMG for determining columns.
Have you considered modifying:
EEProfileGeneralData.jsp
which is the name of JSP used for display?

If "Sweet" IM is "riding" in on Firefox, how is it removed from Firefox? I have removed it from my laptop via Windows Controls, but it continues to display on FB.

I recently downloaded the Sweet IM emoticon app to augment my Yahoo Messenger app. I later removed it from my list of Windows pgms using the Control Panel, remove pgms feature, and I deleted all the Sweet IM cookies. All that appears to have worked. But the Sweet IC toolbar continues to appear embedded in the body of my FB page at the top just above where new statuses are entered. It also continues to appear in all my chat windows. Any ideas on how I can get rid of these displays? They are now unnecessary page clutter. Thank you.

On Windows Vista and Windows 7, profile folders are in this location, by default:
C:\Users\<Windows login/user name>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile folder>.
The AppData folder is a hidden folder; to show hidden folders, open a Windows Explorer window and choose "Organize → Folder and Search Options → Folder Options → View (tab) → Show hidden files and folders".
On Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7, you can also use this path to find the profile folder, even when it is hidden:

Use Department field from user profile

Hi,
When user uploads a document - "Created By" takes its name automatically.
We need the data of the department of the user also.
I see that i can change the column to display any field from user profile in the "Created By" (user name / email/ department...).
What should i do in order to use more than one field? (it's like set 2 "created by" columns to each doc - one to get the user name and one for department).
It is for use department values in search.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to get user name and department for the user who created the document.
I recommend to get the department using the default Created By column and use workflow to get the user name from Created By column in a new column.
Create a workflow associated with the library and set the workflow to start when an item is created.

Remove fields from OrgChart extended employee profile

Hello experts,
I would like to remove two fields from the Extended Employee Profile from all Herarchies: "Address" and "Place of birth".
I reviewed the Details Designer from the AdminConsole but I see they are part of a data sheet so I guess it is not as easy as untick them to be removed. Any guidelines where I can deleted them from the details panel?

Try ..\AppResources\detaildataconfiguration\SAPPositionIncumbentsInfoDetailsConfig_Data.xml - there is a fieldset called EmployeeDetailData that contains the fields.

Cannot hide 'Choose your settings' field from User Profile Edit Page

When ever I change the 'Choose your settings' property to not be displayed on users' edit profile page, all of the users' My Site edit profile pages display an error, 'Sorry, something went wrong'. The log file shows the following entries.

I've encountered this on 3 different SharePoint 2013 farms, and it also works correctly on another. I can't figure out why or what the differences are.
We want to be able to hide the vast majority or fields from the user edit profile page and only show a handful of them, e.g. Name, Department, Job Title, Office and Mobile.
Anyone else seen this or have a solution?

Removing name from contact list

There is a group to which I send a general e mail a few times a month. I have these contacts listed under a group name, so when I type in the group name under "To" all the names appear. There is one person who no longer wants to receive the group notices, and I have completely removed her name and contact information from my address book, but when I type the group name in my "To" box her name still appears. She has a "hotmail" account, as do several other members of my group. Is there anything else I can do, short of trying to remember to delete her name every time I send an e mail to this group?

When you get hold of one of those first line reps on the phone, it depends very much on just who happened to answer the call. Some of them are very good. Others not so much. The only reason I found out about the memory for the To: line is that another poster had asked about it and I contacted Plaxo about it. There was an exchange of emails and they explained how the thing works.
Do you see "Forget" to the right of the first 3 o 4 names when that list comes up? I had no idea what that was for. It is the automated sorting software that the mail program uses to determine what addresses you use most often when typing in a given letter/word combination into the To: field. It then ranks them in that order. If you want it to change you click on Forget and it should remove it from the spot in the list. At least that's what was explained to me. But when I first asked them about it they tried to tell me it was something to do with my browser, which it is not. So I sent them a screen shot of it and then they said "oh wait----yeah------that thingy", and then gave me the correct information.
They don't all know all the features of the mail program or address book.

Removing fields from Discoverer Viewer Login Page 10g

I am new to discoverer 10g. I wanted to know if its possible to remove the non mandatory fields from the Disco viewer home page like Locale, End user layer and Connect To since they can be configured to take default values.
Once a user logs in, he views a set of workbooks. Can this page be replace with a customized report?

Are you on a 11.5.10 environment? If so please make sure your DBC-file is generated correctly. Since 11.5.10 Discoverer will be started using SSL mode.
Do you have the same issue when connecting thourg the Desktop or even with the Plus (directly from the /discoverer/plus url)? If so, please make sure the 'ICX: Launch Discoverer Plus/Viewer' have the correct value. E.g. http://<server.domain>:<port>/discoverer/plus?Connect=[APPS_SECURE]

Remove fields from dashboard

The dashboard on the cProjects entry page (4.5.) contains about 50 different columns. Some of them are visible by default, while others can be added via ALV-personalization (link "Settings").
I have now successfully added some customer fields to the dashboard, so that I have about 60 columns.
Now, some of the default columns do not make sense at all in my company. How can I remove them from the dashboard (with removing I mean not only remove them from the default view of the table, but also from the list of possible columns under "Settings").
I can of course delete them from the structure DPR_TS_DASHBOARD_ATTR, but this would be a modification, and could lead to syntax errors or other problems after the next upgrade.
Is there an easier way?

I don't think you can remove them, as it's a standard layout. For there are two options:
- Either you remove the them from the defailt view in the administration mode for instance. In that case, the columns remain selectable in the settings as you mentionned.
- Or you create a custom extract layout, copy from the standard one, without the non-desired fields.

I define a customize table (maintenance only by cust., not SAP import).
5 of the fields are the table keys.
When I remove 2 fields from the key and adjust the table I get the following errors
Primary key change not permitted for value table ZT7IL60
Activation of Table ZT7IL60 not possible (please check)
Any clue why and how to remove some fields from the key?

may be you are using that field in the foreign key reference of another table. thats y it is not allowing the change option as it will affect other table's values.

How can I remove notes from contacts in Address Book?

I have tried removing notes from the bottom part of my Address Book contacts, but when I highlight what I want to remove, and then press the delete button, the deleted portion disappears AND THEN REAPPEARS seconds later!
How can I delete these notes permanently?

There are two possibilities you can try:
1. Delete all your duplicate entries. You can try downloading and running this Applescript Remove Duplicates, which will create a group named Duplicates in Address Book, from which you should be able to delete those entries, by selecting the Group, then in the next column to the Right, select all the entries and choose Delete Cards from the Edit menu.
2. If that doesn't work, you can do this:
1. Quit Address Book if it's running.
2. Go to ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook and delete an of these files/folders you find there:
• ABPerson.skIndex
• ABPerson.skIndexInverted
• Address Book - xxxxx.abbu
• AddressBook.data
• AddressBook.data.beforesave
• AddressBook.data.previous
• Images
• LastImport.plist
3. Restart Address Book and see if the default cards are there (Apple card, and your Me card) and if all seems to be working correctly.

There are fields I want to remove from the Auto-Suggest Index and I have been told to do this is by adding add an entry in the config.cfg file. For example If I wanted to remove the dOriginalName field from the Auto-Suggest Index I would type the following entry:
DisabledAutoSuggestFields=table=Documents:fields=dOriginalName
I understand Documents is the table and dOriginalName is the field. However, what would I type if I wanted to remove more than one field from a different table? For example Documents.dOriginalName and Revisions.dDocName?
