Remove filename from PDF Conversion

I'm creating a PDF from multiple HTML files. The HTML document title appears at the top of the PDF page and the path/filename appears at the bottom of the PDF page. How do I remove those? I have already tried the remove header and footer from the create from web page and that has not worked. I am using 9.2. I have also adjusted all the settings, even the registry to take out the title and footer apon converting html to pdf. I have attached the code the does the converstion. Please help!

In my post I added the code as an attachment. I am just using adobe to convert from html to pdf.

If standard has the Object touchup tool, you can select them and then delete them. I suspect that this may have the same problem as the redact tool as mentioned by graffiti.

Web pages missing from PDF conversion of my website

The top page of my website has an expander list with links to subpages. When I convert my site to PDF, Acrobat skips those subpages. The expander list is closed during PDF conversion, so the links are not visible preventing Acrobat from "seeing" these subpages.

One is equivalent to PDF Maker (Save As Adobe PDF) and the other is the MS conversion to PDF (Save As PDF or XPS).
One additional issue you may run into (since you mentioned page numbers) is a change in formating when creating the PDF. To avoid this change, be sure the Adobe PDF printer is selected in the print menu before editing the DOC file. Another option is to make the Adobe PDF printer the default.

Remove password from PDF with Reader 9.0?

We would like to know if a user opens a protected PDF (with 128/256 bits encryption) in Acrobat Reader 9.0,
can the user save a copy of the protected PDF and the new PDF is no longer password protected.
That means I would like to check if the reader 9.0 can allow user to remove the password (Of course, permission
should be granted when creating the protected PDF in Acrobat 9.0) from the protected PDF file.

Reader cannot remove password protection. It only reads files.

Removing Security from PDFs in Batch (v10)

Using Adobe Acrobat Pro X. I need to remove the security from multiple PDFs with the same password. I found instructions online at: http://blogs.adobe.com/acrobatforlifesciences/2010/04/removing_security_from_pdfs_in/
However these instruction do not help as the command have changed. Also unable to set the Action Wizard to accomplish the task.

I am a newbie to the forum. I have a dynamic form created in acrobat pro 10. Each time I open the form to add watermark on it, i have a message that says " You don't have sufficient permissions to perform this tasks" and as a result the watermark process will not proceed.
When I created the form, I save the form with no security in the default. But,when you click on the form properties, it will display that this form has some pdf restrictions such as :
Changing the document " Not Allowed" .
Document assembly " Not Allowed"
Page extraction " Not Allowed"
Filling of form fields " Allowed"
Page exratction " Not Allowed"
and host of other restrictions.
My question is how will I change this dynamic fillable form to allow all options as "Allowed" as this pdf form has some restrictions.
If all options are allowed like in normal pdf, I am able to add the watermark but when a restiction is placed, the message "You dont have sufficient permissions to perform this task is displayed.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I need to add the watermark as a control for this forms during distribution. If you want me to send the attachment and the message, i would greatly welcome it.

How can i remove password from pdf file that i lost password to

i have 2 pdf's that are atleast 6 months old i need to check information in i dont ever remember putting a password on them but i cant gain access to them...any ways i can remove these password?

Adobe Reader can't remove passwords at all. Adobe Acrobat can, but only if you know what the password is.

Duplicate pages resulting from PDF conversion

Hello!
I've run into an issue I've never seen happen before: When converting a 26-page Word file to PDF, the resulting PDF file duplicates 5 pages of the Word file inappropriately. That is, Table 2 (which breaks across a few pages), is interrupted by repeat pages of Table 1. Weirder still, the pagination in the PDF has adapted, so the numbering doesn't show 16, 17, 7-11, 18. All the pagination looks proper, except the document has 5 extra pages (the duplicated pages).
This might be a Word issue, not a PDF issue, but I thought I'd start here to see if anyone has ever had this problem. Formatting marks in Word don't reveal anything out of the ordinary--and I can't even imagine a way to purposefully make this happen, anyway.

Remove '(SECURED)' from PDF title

I am creating secured pdf files (so to speak--they don't seem all that secure, really) but I don't want the word '(SECURED)' in the document title. It used not to be there. Can I remove it?

Unfortunately, when it comes to enforcing the permissions it's up to the viewing application. You might have noticed that when you apply a Permissions Password a dialog is displayed that notes that although all Adobe products enforce the permissions, that not all third party products respect these settings.
However, when it comes to the Document Open Password, if you don't have that password you can't open the document. There are programs that perform dictionary attacks that will try every word in the dictionary to open the file, and if they hit upon the right one the file will open, but if you use a sufficiently strong password the file is pretty secure. It's once that the file is open that you are at the mercy of the viewing app.

Preview removes color from pdf

I am using Preview Version 5.5.3 (719.31)
I am operating Mac OSX Versin 10.7.5
Print preview revoves the color from a PDF.
When I open the file in Adobe Reader, the color appears.
I have done a software update and have not been able to resolve. Any help would be appreciated

The first thing I would check is to see if the same thing happens in another user account. That will help you isolate where the problem is but won't solve the problem. This article talks more about the process: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4053
These are the steps from that you need to take to test the issue in another user:

This process involves creating a new user account, logging in to it, and testing for the issue.
Create a new standard or admin user account in Users & Groups preferences. See this video, or this article for instructions for OS X Lion. See this article for instructions for OS X Mountain Lion.
Optional: If you have any specific files you wish to test with, copy (don't move) those items to the /Users/Shared folder in the Finder.
Log out of your current user account by choosing Log Out from the Apple (ï£¿) menu.
Log in with the new account you created.
Attempt to reproduce the issue you were seeing in your regular user account.
Note: If you were using any specific settings that the issue depends on, such as using a specific email account, iCloud account, and so forth, then you should set up that account in System Preferences. For email and most other settings you should be able to set them up easily in the Mail, Contacts & Calendars System Preference pane. If you copied any files to the /Users/Shared folder that you need for testing, you would want to copy them to the desktop (or other applicable locations) of the test account.
Important: After you have completed testing, log out of the test account by by choosing Log Out from theApple (ï£¿) menu.
Log in as your regular account.
After you have completed all testing with the test user account, you may wish to delete it. Note: Prior to deleting a test account, make sure you are completely done with it. If you have files in the Guest User you wish to keep, you should copy them to the /Users/Shared folder .
Let me know if it happens in another user account. If it does, then there is an issue with Preview application and you may need to reinstall the OS. If it doesn't happen in another user, you may just need to delete the user specific .plist for Preview or the user cache files.

Remove button from pdf after saving

Hello, in my PDF form, I have a button. This button has the following script that I got via this forum, great!

So what it actually does, is to make all form fields "non editable"and show a save as button after that so users can save the filled in PDF.
But since after saving the PDF is read only, how can I make it in this way that the "button save as" with the script above, is not showing anymore in the generated PDF. This is a read only PDF now, so this button is no longer of use to show and also not to print.
How do I do this in acrobat pro.

Automatically removed from group conversation for being idle?

Where I work, we have a group/team conversation for people to ask questions, make comments, share information, etc.
In the past few weeks I have noticed that I have been being removed from this group conversation. Find the message "You have been removed from this conversation."
I usually start this conversation but leave permission open for everyone so anyone can add people as they come in for later shifts. I know it's possible to right click on a person's name and remove them from the conversion.
When this started happening, I researched how to stop it from happening and found that if I changed the permissions to me alone, I am not removed from the conversation.
My questions are: does Lync automatically remove a person from a conversation if they are idle for a certain amount of time? If so, what is the time frame? Does just that person have to be idle or the entire conversation?
Essentially, I'm trying to find out if some person is actively removing me or if it's some automatic setting within Lync.

Yes there is a timeout, it's per person but mostly the entire conversation though due to "sending or receiving and instant message. You can't easily turn it off, but you can change the value a bit. See set-csclientpolicy setting

Remove the mouseover filename from a PDF document

I'm trying to generate a PDF using Adobe Acrobat X Pro through the Word 2007 interface. When I generate my PDF and mouseover an image, the mouseover text displays the filename of the image file (ie mouseover text="ImageFilename.png"). Additionally, some of these aren't even correct (the image filename is actually a previous revision of the image file and not the current file). I would like to know:
-What data does Acrobat poll to get these filenames. I know it isn't the actual filename since some are incorrect, so it must be some data contained in the word document itself?
-How can I remove this function altogether? There is no significance to the image filenames and I'd rather not have to ensure they all match the document text.
I have searched this and other forums but can't find instructions on how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not aware of anyway to automatically remove them from the pdf file. You can manually remove each of them but it's always better to treat the source file than to treat the PDF file for changes.
To keep from seeing them without having to remove them all in Word, just use the "print method" to create the PDF file. Print to the Adobe PDF printer rather than using the Save as Adobe PDF feature.

How can I copy text from PDF and include the source filename in the pasted selection?

I'm a biologist and frequently cut-and-paste notes from PDFs of scientific articles. I name all of the PDF articles with their PubMed ID, a short unique identifier (e.g. 19397482.pdf). When I take notes, I will select a few sentences from the PDF and then paste them into a text editor for later reference.
Can anyone suggest a method or script that would allow me to paste the copied text with the Pubmed filename included in a single action? I would want the pasted output it to look something like this, with the filename appended to the end:

This would really help me to properly cite information sources during the writing process. I know there are bibliography managers that might be able to do something like this, but I prefer to read the PDF articles directly in Preview and select the text as I am reading.

Result of this code is : there is a pop up asking to open or save pdf format and process is complete, but i have problem in downloaded file.
At the time of creation i have put BMP image for signature in PDF file and it is working fine but when i upload that file in Application server and then download it with above used code it save the PDF file but when i open that file so whereever i have used signature that page gives error and could not display that scanned signature.
Can anyone please help me in this regard.
or is there any possibility from which i can download that file just like File transfer from BSP.
Keep in mind that i am using BSP technology so all GUI based function module to download file are not working.
