Remove Find Button in BEx tool

Hi all,
I use s_rs_fold object to remove other buttons on BEx analyzer. However, the find button allow user to find other queries. How do I remove the find button in BEx?

You can't hide the find button. But here is my activity:

Find button issue in tool bar during upgrade from 4.6c to ECC 6

Hi All,
I came across one issue during the upgarde.
In new system ECC 6:
When i run the transaction IW51 then give the notification type SE(service notificaton) and then hit enter key.
It leads to next screen there enter the value in the FUNCTIONAL lOCATION field some ex 9000004 and
opposite to that field there is a structure list icon.
Clicking that icon it leads to a structure list.
My issue is: the FIND button and FIND NEXT button are disabled in the menu bar.I need the both buttons to be active
When i seen in old system i.e 4.6c
FIND button and FIND NEXT button are active.
I made little change in the new system in include MIHIXF82 as shown below.
SET PF-STATUS 'MAIN' ."EXCLUDING gt_excl_tab.
I commented the EXCLUDING gt_excl_tab.
Now FIND button and FIND NEXT button is active but when i click the FIND button there is no pop up is displayed.
Usually pop up is displayed when we click FIND button in that we can enter the value which we have to find out.

Hi,
In that program gui status MAIN is used.
When i see that gui status and in FUNCTION KEYS the FIND button and FIND NEXT button
the function codes are in orange color.Remaing BACK,EXIT,and CANCEL button function code are in white color.
Whether the orange color indicates is in inactive mode?
If so how can i activate those Function codes?

How to remove arrow pointer in painting tool circle?

I'm running Adobe Photoshop 7.0 in Windows 7 Virtual XP mode, since the program won't run in Win7 64-bit mode. It used to run fine in 32-bit mode. It runs OK in the virtual XP mode, but I find that the circle tool in the painting or clone stamp functions always has an arrowhead in the center of the circle. It never used to, just the circle for painting or cloning. How do I get rid of it? Changing the settings in the Preferences menu does not help.
Also, the virtual mode doesn't seem to allow updating program files, although it updates XP files. Maybe there is a firewall issue? I tried to download a Photoshop update file. There was a prompt asking where it should go. But when I selected a place, and clicked OK, the Next button did not come on.

Thanks for your response. I was only joking.
As far as the virtual XP mode goes: I wasted a lot of time with Adobe techies – in India and elsewhere – first, trying to get an unlock code to install the Photoshop 7 on my new hard disk, then when it booted up, the program would not initialize. I just get an error message, saying “Photoshop 7.9 could not initialize because your scratch disks are full.” Then it shuts down. This, after I have a 1.5 TB size new main drive.
Unless you have any ideas on how to get around this bad penny initialization error message, I am stuck. It does work in XPM mode, though. Although I was able to change the screen resolution to remove the mouse pointer in the circle tool, now the tool is the cursor that looks like a small oval over which crosshairs are placed. I can’t seem to get a normal, single circle. Is there a switch that restores cursors to a default?

   I was finally able to resolve this Issue
Here is what I did,
1) Installed the Following Front End Patches.
   a) For 3.x = bw350gui710_4-10004473.exe
   b) For 7.0 = bi710sp07p_701-10004472.exe
2) We are using Office 2003 so had to Install the following Office Patch
    office2003-KB907417-FullFile-ENU.exe
This Fixed our issues and Bex ( Both Versions ) are working fine.
If you don't want to Install Front End SAP Patches then start with the Office Patch. On your Desktop follow the steps below.
1) START -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs.
2 ) Click on Show Patches Option on top of the window.
3) Find Office and ensure that above mentioned Patch is present. ( Check Microsoft Site with KB907417 ) for more details

"find" button on yp.ca does not work

The "FIND" button will not work on web page http://www.yellowpages.ca/ in Firefox browser. It does work in Explorer browser.

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Find button on toolbar won't search current page

I'm having an issue with the Find button on the standard report viewer toolbar for ASP. When I enter a search term and click on find, it starts searching on the next page even though there are entries (several) that match on the current page.
I found one mention on the internet that says it only searches forward (if you search from page 5 you won't get the entry on page 2) which is fine. However, this keeps the user from searching from page 1 (for example) when they are on page 1. If this is forward only (and that was only mentioned on a site not related to Microsoft or Crystal) then shouldn't it still look on the current page?
Anyone else have this issue?

Yes. I'm using Crystal Reports for VS 2005 (ASP.NET). I don't see much written about this issue, but it sure annoys me, and my users won't like it either. Unless there is a better alternative, I'll remove the Find feature from the reports completely so that I don't have to deal with user complaints. They can use the browser Find to search a page at a time, or export the report and search using the exported format's application.

Achim was right on. Edit/Change the Internet Service in R/3. A few things to consider though....
(1) if using the original service, you may want to create a copy of theme 99 into your own theme (any number will do...99 is just the default theme). If doing so, be sure to change the service's service file (yeh, I always loved that about SAP's naming) to point the ~theme paramter to your new theme.
or
(2) Copy the entire service into your own "Z" service. Then modify the templates as you wish. You will need to point the iView to this "Z" service too.
Also, it is best to do it via SE80 vs. file level because then it will be part of a transport and follow the correct path through the landscape.
Now, if you really want to go back to R/3....find the function module or program the transaction code for your service actually calls, make a "Z" version of it, modify it, create your own "Z" t-code to call it, and THEN modify the internet service's service file (either the original SAP one or a custom version) to call your new "Z" t-code. Lot of work...yes, I know....but that's the way it's done if you gotta get back down to the ABAP level.

How to remove go button for prompt

Hi everyone,
I got a requirement from client asking to remove 'GO' button for prompts which has single value to select and have go button for those which need multiple select values.
If prompt has one select value the report has to change based the selection of value no need to press go button.
Will it be possible to remove 'GO' button for some prompt filter and have for others .

I think it's not possible to remove the 'GO' button for prompts. If you need to rename the 'GO' button, follow the below steps.
Go to {OracleBIDir}:\oraclebi\web\msgdb\l_en\messages and Open the globalfiltermessages.xml file.
Find this text
<WebMessage name="kmsgGFPGo"><TEXT>Go</TEXT></WebMessage>
Edit the 'Go' which is there between the TEXT tags.. for e.g.., replace the Go with Confirm

I have a ribbon (done using ribbon XML) with menu options. I need to remove few buttons from the menu dynamically based on some condition. Also, I want to change the label of another button. How to achieve this programmatically? (C#)

Hello Prasad,
Use callbacks for populating Ribbon controls such as menu, dropDown, gallery and etc. Then you can use the
Invalidate or
InvalidateControl methods of the
IRibbonUI interface to get your callbacks invoked when required. Thus, you will be able to delete the required item(s).

How to create a new push button in application tool bar in GMGRANT thru BDT

Dear SAP Gurus -
We have a requirement in 'GMGRANT' transaction. We need to create a button in the application tool bar of 'GMGRANT' transaction. Once the button is activated, if the user clicks on the button then it will go to a new screen (external screen). User can input data in to the external sceeen and upon saving, the data will be stored in to a custom table and when user clicks on 'back ' button user should come back to the GMGRANT transaction.
Just wanted to know, how to create / activate a new button on application tool bar of GMGRANT transaction and what are the configuration and detail steps to achieve the same through BDT.
We went through a lot of documents on BDT but do not have a proper solution.
Could you please help.

You can find user-exits (menu exits) to add new menu item.
But, there is no possibility to add new buttons on application tool bar.

How to remove "recalculate" button from classic tables?

I would like to either remove this button or find the method that is posted when user clicks this. I don't see any documentation on this recalculate button. It automatically appears when I have a table on my page.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I need the total of the column, so I set the total value property in PI to true. As it is a updatable column, I find the Recalculate button along with it. But, I dont want to show that button. I tried what is given in the dev guide, but not working.

Remove Touchpad Buttons G510

Hello everyone,
on my two month old lenovo g510 the left mouse button from the touchpad is very wobbly. The right mouse button is still fine. Is it possible to remove the button to see whats wrong with the left one? Or do I have to send my g510 to lenovo?!

The touchpad for this model is attatched to the Top cover "The cover where your palm rests when typing"

Note: if the system is still within warranty period, I strongly suggest to have the laptop Touchpad fixed by lenovo technicians, Call Technical Team and have the assess the situation.

Variable screeen popup with button in bex
