Remove gaps between tables in dreamweaver CC

I'm new to Dreamweaver so please be patient with me. I have created 2 stacked tables and for some reason there is a slight gap between them even though padding and spacing is set at 0. Can anyone let me know how to remove this gap.
Thanks in advance

I had never noticed it in the past until I started using the html5 doctype, hmm...
One sec...
I just tested a simple 2 column 2 row default table and tossed in an image with text and an image without text into two separate rows. The padding is not there in HTML4 Trans or XHTML Trans (which is what I used in the past most often). It only shows up on the image that is added with text for those two doctypes. When I convert it to html5, it shows up for both, here test this code and see if I'm crazy (preview the below, then change the doctype to html5 and preview again, the descender padding on the bottom image is not present in XHTML or html4 and pops up in html5)...

  • How do I remove a gap between table rows in InDesign?

    I need help in figuring out how to remove gaps between table rows.  I have tried Table Spacing under Table Set-up, but it doesn't work.
    Here's what I'm working on:
    As you can see there are gaps above the first row and below last row under the header Business Management Technology.  I cannot select that gap.  How do I remove it, so that the first class, 31058, is flush with the black header?  (and the last class, 32675, is flush with the Chemistry header?)
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sarah

    I hadn't considered that, and your example is proof-of-concept. However, now that you made me look closer, I still don't think that's the OP's case, seeing as the text in the OP's header rows appears to span more than one column, belying what I suppose must be merged cells.* The column strokes in the "gap" appear to disqualify it (the gap) as part of a row with merged cells.
    *There is still another possibility that someone "made pictures" of tables with merged cells by overlaying text frames to make the header rows. I've run across all kinds of such "carpentry;" especially when the file may have originated at the desk of someone who avoids or resists use of tables. They find ways to fake them and/or their features.

    >Select the distance of the upper left point of the chart in relation to another report element by entering - the number of pixels; the part of the tavfrom which youble want to measure the pixels (in the first drop-down list); the report element from which you want to measure the pixels (in the second drop-down list).

    Hope this will help you out.

  • Space between tables in dreamweaver

    Cellpad = 0, Cellspace = 0 and Border = 0 but there is still a space between tables. I checked in explorer and chrome, same thing. Suggestions?

    This is not a DW or even a table problem - it's a 'you' problem! ;-)
    What you are seeing is the space that is reserved below inline elements to accommodate text descenders. Make that image have the CSS style of "display:block" and you will see the gap vanish.

  • 5800 - How can i remove gap between tracks?

    Hi guys, as the subjects says...Is there any way to remove the gap between tracks in order to get a continuous play with seperate songs in the XM 5800?
    Thanks.

    I know what you mean - some albums sound much better without the half second (or more) gap between tracks when playing in continuous mode (not usually necessary for shuffle mode). E.g. MediaMonkey on the PC works pretty great with Ministry of Sound albums for example - I suspect we'd have to have a new audio player in a firmware release. Here's to dreaming!
    If I've helped, please hit Kudos! I could do with a little kudos in my life.

  • Removing gaps between content and footer/ content and header

    I've been looking all around the internet for some solution, and it's probably a simple one.
    But it's making me want to throw a brick through a window.
    How the hell do I make that gap (pointed to in red) disappear so that my footer image is seamless with my content background?

    Remove the bottom margin from your paragraph?
    p { margin:0; padding:0;}
    Or change the spacing to before so you still get gaps between paragraphs
    p {margin-top:10px; padding:0;}

  • Appearance of array, remove gap between cells

    Hello All,
    I'm not a newbie with labVIEW but I'm trying to improve the GUI of my program.
    I would like to customize a array indicator. I already customized some controls. For the array, at first it seems easy, but I would like to minimize (remove) the gap between each cells and I come up against to this problem ....
    I found some examples (e.g chess.llb) where it's describe how we can customize a control but not for array indicator.
    I inserted picture of what I can, and what I would like to do.
    Is it possible to do that ?
    Olivier
    PS: In the array, I have a pict ring control.
           I'm using LabVIEW 8.5.1

    If it's just an aesthetics issue, you could paint the borders white -- see attached.
    For the long term (maybe), have you seen This Idea??  If we could set the element gap to 0, then there'd be no gap.

  • Removing gap between tracks

    How do i remove the gap between dance tracks on a mixed CD when i play them on my 20G colour ipod?

    Hi Neil - You can only do this when you first import your CD into iTunes. To do this select 'Advanced' then 'Join CD Tracks'. The whole CD then gets imported as a single track. The only drawback is that you can't select individual tracks for playback. For CDs where I sometimes want to play continuous and at other times I want to select specific tracks I import 2 versions, one joined and one as per normal.
    Cheers - Neil.

  • Gap between table rows

    Hi all,
    I have displayed a table in smartform.    now i need to have a gap between each of the table row..
    So how to display a blank line between each of the table row?
    Regards,
    Shanthi

    Hi,
        May be this will help you.
    1. Create one extra coloumn in the internal table.But don't populate any values in that column.
    2. For each column you will fill o/p options with line type right. for this column fill with line type  LINE2 in output options.
    LINE1 is common which generally you are using.
    3. create that that Line type LINE2 with table lenght and single column.
    4. don't put this extra coumn in header of the table.
    let me know if any issues.
    reward points if helpful
    Thanks,
    suma

  • Remove gaps between objects in Illustrator

    Hello. I have made a document with some objects in illustrator. The problem is that there is a white gap between the objects.
    I have tried all the advices here on adobe forums and google, but nothing works.
    I have uploaded the files to my website, so that you could give it a try if you want to help.
    the files you can find here:
    http://www.kasperstaal.dk/example.ai
    http://www.kasperstaal.dk/example1.ai
    - the one file is a CC file and the other one is CS6...
    How can i fix this?
    Thank you very much in advance..

    For the web try and export is as PSD/TIF/whatever and check the antialiasing option "Art optimized"
    When printing this shouldn't matter. It doesn't in offset printing, but might matter in other rare cases. Occasionally people pop up in this forum ...
    But since you won't be in control of selecting the service bureau and printing process, you might try and create shapes below the actual object that share the same color and hide the gaps.

  • Removing gap between transitions betw edited clips

    I have edited together some video footage but I'm trying to have no gap between the one piece of edited footage and the next. I went into Precision Editor and watched the Tutorial but I can't figure it out. I just want them to flow fairly seemlessly from one clip to the next. Appreciate any help. Thank you.

    i figured this out! it wasn't really a gap.

  • How can i remove gaps between letters, usually occur in a paragraph justified with the last line aligned right/left

    here's an example of a paragraph i've taken from wikipedia:
    if you can see, in the paragraph aligned with the button "Justify with the last line aligned left" - the one above, i've marked with red lines the places in which a gap occurs all of a sudden, and i cannot undo them.
    for the same paragraph below i used the simple "Align left" button.
    can anyone please help me understand what has happened that made those gaps occur.
    i use Adobe Design Standard CS 6 Middle East Version. this bug occurs in other font/languages as well.

    Thank you for providing the sample IDML file.
    I still think it could be the used paragraph composer, maybe in conjunction with the used font. I'd change the composer to see, if the problem will go away.
    @Willi – you are right, the story direction is RTL, but the paragraph direction is LTR. That's no surprise here since the ME version of InDesign was used.
    I would change story direction to LTR, use the "normal" paragraph composer instead the global one.
    Since the used font is not available to me, a substituted font is not showing the problem.
    But that may mean nothing. I do not use the ME version of InDesign…

  • How do I remove a space between tables?

    In dreamweaver there appears to be no space and the page looks fine, however when I go into
    internet explorer there is a gap between the tables.  I want my image to be
    at the bottom of my table, resting on the footer.
    I have tried for hours to resolve this and I can't, there is still a space between my HR helpline image and my footer.
    I have set all the borders and cell spacing to 0 but nothing seems to work.
    I have not yet got my web site on line so can't tell you what the URL is, but when I go and view source from the internet explorer this is the code:
    <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> </td>
        <td width="430" height="200" align="center" valign="bottom" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="EditRegion2" -->
        <p><img src="../frustrated helpline.jpg" alt="HR helpline" width="331" height="282" border="0" longdesc="http://HR telephone helpline" /><!-- InstanceEndEditable --></td>
      </tr>
    </table>
    <table width="900" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

    Thanks if anyone can help, I am really new to this.

  • PO Stylesheet How to remove space between two tables

    Hi
    I am building a rtf template for PO output for communication report in r12,there is a terms and conditions part and total amount part which comes at bottom of every page of the report. I have created that as a template and i call it in the footer.
    The problem is there is always a gap between the lines table and the terms & conditions and total table,any idea's on how to resolve this issue will be very helpful.
    Please let me know if any other input is required from my side.
    Thanks in Advance

    Are you trying to have the table where the lines are always be the same size no matter how many lines are present?
    If so, you some choices:
    1) If your lines are always the same height, you might get some ideas on what to do from this article:
    http://oracle.anilpassi.com/xml-publisher-developing-reports-printed-on-pre-printed-stationary.html
    2) If your lines vary in height, then you should look into a PDF template. This will give you a pre-printed stationary look in which the drawing of boxes and lines is not affected by the data content.
    3) Other less attractive options are a) making the report in XSL-FO, and b) making a bitmapped RDF report
    There is currently no solution that I am aware of for a pre-printed stationary look using an RTF template in which the data lines are of variable height.
