Remove Installer of Mountain Lion

Hi,
please need your help. Installing ML failed due to the fact of incompatibility with PGP on my system. How can I remove Mountain Lion Installer, since everytime I start the computer the system crashes, because it starts from the installer an dnot from Lion. Starting with ALT and choosing Lion is working.

Are you saying you can boot normally by holding down option and choosing the volume?

Go to System Preferences->Startup Disk. Pick your OS X Lion boot volume. Then you should be good to go.
did it already, but again system tries to start with ML-Installer. (In fact there is only start disc 10.7.4 to click on)
No need to delete the Mountain Lion installer from /Applications. Once PGP updates their software you'll be able to install it.

Unable to add/remove users in Mountain Lion Server (Options are greyed out)

For some reason, im unable to add/remove users in Mountain Lion server. The + and - are greyed out. It seems like something is wrong with the permissons because it looks like it cant write the the Ldav3 file (although that may be speculation). Does anyone have any advice for me? I URGENTLY need to add users.
Maybe theres a way to restore default permssions for the boot drive (if that in fact is the issue). Hopefully there is a way that I can fix this while leaving all users, groups, their permissions and shares intact.

Since it's far and away the most common cause of problems with OS X Server and with distributed authentication (Open Directory is entirely based on network encryption and digital certificates and on responses from your local DNS server(s)), verify your local DNS configuration is working and requires no changes with the following Terminal.app (Applications > Utilities) harmless, diagnostic command:
sudo changeip -checkhostname
sudo requires an administrative password. You might get a one-time warning about the sudo, and that can safely be ignored. The command will display some details, and indicate whether the local configuration appears valid and no changes are required, or further diagnostics for (most) common errors that can arise.

Aperture doesn't open after clean installation of Mountain Lion

I have just done a clean installation of mountain lion.
After that, I have downloaded my copy of aperture from the store and installed it ( i think, just becase when done, at the store says that it is installed )
But when I try to launch aperture from de applications menu, an error appears and aperture quits immediatelly. The error says that, "an error has occurred. You should reinstall aperture or could be your operating system is not supported", more or less, translating it from the Spanish.
I have been searching for the installed files with finder, but nothing seems to be installed at the hard disk. Even the library that tipically appears at the Pictures folder doesn't appear.
Could somebody help me, please?

Hi, how do I create a standalone installer for Mountain Lion, ie, download once and then no more broadband required, thanks?
Context is that my other computers are not mobile and I do not have broadband worth troubling for a 4GB download - so will go to Apple Store with MacBook Pro for first download.

The easiest way is to download the installer but do not open it.
Next, make a copy of it and store it where it won't get lost.
Then take one of the copies and place into the applications directory and open it to begin the installer.
This has saved me the trouble of ever having to download the installer twice, plus you can mess around with the installer and try different options without having to worry about not having a clean install file if needed.

I have seen this with AIM Logins that use the SSL Server and not the original server that was non SSL
Since iChat 6 the server name has also changed as has the Login port (Although we were suggesting using the port 443).
The AIM SSL server "Falls Over" more frequently than the other server.
Also iChat/Messages reconnects automatically to the NON SSL server but not to the SSL one (It is a security risk)
You had to manually Log out by Untick "Enable this Account" then Log back in again.
I have not seen this happen in Jabber accounts but I don't use my computer the same way you do.
Jabber Servers tend to either use SSL or Not and can rarely login if you change to not using SLL.
It also seems a bit strange that Disabling the account, as you phrase it, and re-enabling does not work.
For Googletalk Logins try logging out then changing the port to 443 (Googletalk allows this port as well as 5223)
Also check the Keychain (Applications/Utilities > Keychain Access) and see if there is an issue with any Gmail or Googletalk certificate.

Seit kurzer Zeit funktioniert die Videowiedergabe meines MacBookPro in Powerpoint nicht mehr und zwar nur dann, wenn ich einen Beamer am Thunderboltanschluss anschließe. Habe den verdacht, dass es mit der Installation von Mountain Lion zusammenhängt.

Brauche dringend fachkundigen Rat:
Seit einiger Zeit funktioniert bei meinem MacBookPro die Videowiedergabe in PowerPoint nicht mehr und zwar nur dann, wenn ich einen Beamer an den Thunderbolt-Anschluss anschließe. Wenn ich den Videoanschluss wieder entferne, bliebt diese Störung in Powerpoint bestehen, auch wenn es zuvor (ohn Anschluss) funktioniert hat. Erst nach einem Neustart funktioniert die Videowiedergabe wieder.
Das Problem tritt auch nur in PowerPoint auf (auch bei Präsentationen, die bereits längere Zeit bestehn), bei der reinen Videowiedergabe mit dem QuickTime oder VLC Player gibt es keine Störungen.
Habe den Verdacht, dass die Komplaktionen mit der Installation von Mountain Lion zusammenhängt, was vor etwas sechs Wochen stattgefunden hat.
Hat jemand ähnliche Probleme oder entsprechende ratschläge?

Laut der Apple Liste für das Druckertreiber Upate sollte dein Canon sowohl Drucken als auch Scannen können. http://www.apple.com/support/
Falls du mit der Canon Software versuchst zu scannen, so ist diese eventuel nicht mit Mountain Lion kompatibel?!

I assume you are using QuarkXPress 6.5 or earlier. As these are not Intel-native, these versions need Apple's emulation environment (called Rosetta) to run on modern Macs. Mountain Lion does not have Rosetta anymore.
So you need to upgrade to at least version 7.0.1 (9.3. is current) to get QuarkXPress to run on Mountain Lion. Upgrades are possible from any version.
As Csound1 correctly points out, QuarkXPress 9.3 is not yet officially certified on Mountain Lion. Still, most Quark users though can run it just fine on Mountain Lion. There is one known issue (besides the Gatekeeper limitation when installing) with some Graphics Cards, removing "Welcome Screen.xnt solves" that. Installation of Mountain Lion will not initiate on MB Pro 15", late 2008.

I am trying to install ML on my MacBook Pro, currently running Lion with all the latest updates. Configured with 4 GB Ram. I get a message that says:
Could not find Installation information for this machine. Contact AppleCare.
I inherited this computer from a colleague who went in search of greener pastures and he left me no history of computer performance or support. The computer has been working flawlessly since I got it over a year ago. One thing I know about it is that he did not purchase AppleCare and if he had it would be expired by now. Universities are frugal and do not like to purchase things like hardware/software support.
Can someone tell me a work-around to get Mountain Lion to install?

I purchased Mountain Lion OSX v.10.8.2 to access icloud. Since installing imac running slow, especially connecting to web sites.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Time Machine will not work after installation of Mountain Lion

I installed Mountain Lion and currently can not set up Time Machine via my AirPort and Iomega HDD. I worked flawless prior to the Mountain Lion installation. Can anyone assist.

Your best bet is to call apple tech support at 800-694-7466 or go the the genius bar.

I understand that an installer is downloaded in the first instance and then followed by the licence number etc. Once purchased, can I then use the same installer (copied before intallation to save download time) to download the individual requirements across two other Macs in the same working department. If so, does the cost of the original download cover the other two Macs or do they need to purchase thier very own uprgade individually.

No, there is no license for the Mac OS. Never has been, with the exception of the older server versions such as Snow Leopard Server. Once you download the installer, it's ready to go. No authorization to enter before, during, or after.

Your purchased OS can be used on as many Macs you have in your household. Not sure how Apple works the license for businesses (you mentioned department).

You may want to contact Apple's Customer Service to see how the license applies in this case.

Constant screen refresh when restarting after installation of mountain lion

I've just installed mountain lion . When it restarts I get the main screen then it has a green tint then reddish then refreshes and starts all over again. I left it on all night ant it was still doing the same in the morning.
Restarted in safe mode, disc is fine showing no errors.
I have re-installed lion using time machine and all is well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Don't quote me on this, but I think that the rules may have changed for Mountain Lion and you may need either 2 matching pairs or at least matching modules installed in both bottom slots.

These computers will not start up if only a single DIMM is installed in any bottom slot; these computers should operate normally with a single DIMM installed in any top slot. Core Duo iMac computers should operate normally with a single DIMM installed in any slot, top or bottom. ("Top" and "bottom" slots refer to the orientation of the slots in the pictures below. "Top" refers to the slots closest to the display; "bottom" refers to the slots closest to the stand).
