Remove It Permanently: NAMESPACE_ERR

Remove It Permanently: I contacted the person who made the extension, but haven't received any response.
I haven't Removed any content in several months, but last week RIP started hitting me with this pop-up message:
[Exception... "An attempt was made to create or change an object in a way which is incorrect with regard to namespaces" code: "14" nsresult: "0x8053000e (NS_ERROR_DOM_NAMESPACE_ERR)" location: "chrome://rip/content/rip.js Line: 1269"]
Any thoughts about how I can fix it, other than completely uninstalling and re-installing (doing so means all settings are lost, and it contains years of settings)

Every time Firefox opened

It's related to Facebook/Twitter ads and widgets that are embedded on many websites.
One of the websites you're using is utilizing Facebook/Twitter ads, ads which you at some point removed with the RIP extension, and something is wrong with the embedded Facebook/Twitter ad, which is affecting the RIP and causing the RIP pop-up.
One solution would be to undo all the RIP Facebook/Twitter content removal for now.

  • Why it is so slow in removing trash permanently by Thunar

I use XFCE as my desktop environment.
And while removing trash permanently by Thunar,
(just open up the trash can folder on the desktop, and press "del" on the deleted files)
it takes such a long time about
50 minutes for one 1GB-sized directory!
I guess that is really slow, cause it only takes seconds to do this by the "rm" command.
I've tried google but nothing apparently relative has found.
So I'm here wondering if there is anybody experiencing the same (or similar) situation?

    Thanks for your advises.
But I really appreciate the Trash mechanism, which save me from time to time.
Besides, I also noticed while removing in Thunar permanently, for example, to remove a directory,
Thunar goes down into every files in the directory, which doesn't make sense and may be the reason why it is slow.

  • HT201272 remove apps permanently

I want to know how to permanently delete apps from my account..  My son downloaded some crap (lesbian short stories, Hooters Screen Wash, etc) that I want GONE. Not off my iPhone, not off my iTunes, OFF MY ACCOUNT.  I removed them, then I see available downloads and they come back on the list.  I will never reinstall them.  They were free anyway.  There has to be a way to purge them like they were never accessed.  My wife keeps seeing them as a option, doesn't understand the technology AND I GET ****.

Removing apps from your purchase history is now possible in iTunes 10.5.
    Here's how you do it:
    1. Upgrade your version of iTunes to 10.5 (released October 11, 2011).
    2. Click on iTunes Store in the lefthand column of iTunes and log in to your account.
    3. Find "Purchased" in the Quick Links menu on the right hand side of the Store home page. Click on it.
    4. You should see a list of your downloaded apps on the screen. Mouse over any app that you wish to delete. A small "x" in a round circle will appear in the top left corner of the app icon. Click the "x".
    5. A notification will pop up telling you that your purchased app will now be hidden and how you can un-hide it in the future. Click OK. The app will disappear from your purchase history in iTunes and all associated iOS devices instantly. Verify this on your iOS device by navigating to your purchase history in the App Store.
    BUT
My kids are old enough to find this "hidden" CRAP in iTunes. They read these forums too.

  • How to remove "Delete Permanently" option?

    Hi,
We've activated Wastebasket and after, when user tries to delete something, "Delete Permanently" option displayed on screen.
This is confusing our end users and want to disable this option if possible.
    Is there any standart way?

    Hi,
quite funny.... this thread is markes as "answered".
    But has still open questions....
So using in your repository the repository service wastebasket you get the check box "delete permanently?".
If you do not want to have this check box you have to remove in your repository the repository service wastebasket. But of cause you do not have a wastebasket.
It is not possible to configure this check box.
    Best regards
    Frank

  • I remove toolbars in the options menu and each time I re-load they come back. I want the ability to remove toolbars permanently.

In the options menu, I remove the toolbars that I don't want to see. i.e. Conduit Engine and Add-on Bar. They only remain removed for that session. When I re-load FF, they are back. I want the ability to remove toolbars I don't want and have them STAY removed.

The file that stores details of the customizations is probably corrupt. For details of how to fix it see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Toolbar+keeps+resetting

  • HT1355 how to remove data permanently from iphone?

How to remove photos from iphone permenant and to be sure that no one can restore them again.

Connect the phone to iTunes and sync by de-selecting the photos you don't want on your phone under photos.  If you sync, the photos will be removed from the phone but will remain on iTunes.

  • Removed conditions still 'visible', how to remove it permanently?

    Hi,
I put a condition in my workflow, but then had to remove it. So I removed it from the workflow builder. Now everytime i generate and activate my workflow again i still get warnings on the condition that i removed. My guess is that the condition is still someshere in a table or something.
How can i get rid of the warnings?

    Hi Robert,
    Sounds quite bizarre.
So the condition step, plus the outcomes and any steps on the outcomes have all been deleted now?
was your condition step the first step or last step in your workflow? or was it somewhere in the middle?
Try this... Open your Workflow through PFTC
    Task type = Workflow Template
Task = Workflow number without the WS
This should open your Workflow Template.
Then from the menu, click on "GoTo -> Alphanumeric Editor -> Current Version"
(Also check under the "Operators" branch - it might still be there).
Do you see the condition step still there? Delete it there. Save and try and activate now.
If all else fails, check this table "SWDSCONDEF" for condition in Workflow definition.
Other tables to check for WF definition include:
    SWDSBINDEF
    SWDSEXPR
    SWDSHEADER
    SWDSMETHOD
    SWDSMLINES
    SWDSMNODES
    SWDSSTEPS
    SWDSTEXT
    SWDSWFCONT
    SWDSWFCTXT
    SWD_BINDEF
    SWD_CONDEF
    SWD_EXPR
    SWD_HEADER
    SWD_LINES
    SWD_METHOD
    SWD_MLINES
    SWD_MNODES
    SWD_NODES
    SWD_STEPS
    SWD_WFCONT
    SWD_WFCTXT

  • Removing or Permanently Disabling iMessage App from Secondary Devices (iPad)

    Hi,
I've got a problem and I'm not sure the best solution.
I've used my apple id on all my devices (iMac, iphone & ipads); this way it's easy to manage maintenance in iturnes and app purchases.
I use the message app on my iphone and don't want to use it on my other devices (ipad).
I don't want the messages from my iphone to be displayed on my ipad.
It's too easy to turn on/off the imessage app from system preferences in the ipad, and the app itself (with the content) isn't removed even if turned off.
How do i remove the imessage app from my secondary devices or atleast unlink the imessage app between devices?
    Thank you,
      Ayall

I could not communicate with my son for about a week after I upgraded to IOS 7 - Apparently iMessage must have activated on my phone or I somehow turned it on.
This has nothing to do with why you could not send iMessages unless your son had an iPhone previously, had iMessage set to On and then got a new, non-iOS device and did not deactivate iMessage.
Unless someone has an iOS device or a Mac and has iMessage set to On, you cannot send them an iMessage. It will ONLY send as an SMS.

  • How do I remove "Other", permanently, from my iPhone 5S?

I have an iPhone 5S, 16 GB, AT&T, iOS 7.1.2. When I plug my phone into iTunes, it tells me that I have a certain amount of "Other". People say that it can be anything from pics from text messages being stored to corrupt music files. Before I get into what it actually going on, I'd like to let EVERYONE know, I have done the following, more than once:
    1. Restore from Backup 2x
    2. Restore from New 2x
    3. I have erased all music files, even though I have NO music on my phone.
    4. I have cleared all caches, emptied emails and images.
    5. I have run all sorts of programs on my computer.
    6. I have lost all my info 3 times already doing backups and restores.
    7. I have even been to Apple. They did a restore from new, which is what I told them I already did, and it erased all my "Other"...for 5 whole minutes. By time I got home, I was full on "Other"
With that being said, I look at my usage in my settings. It tells me I have no available memory. I have 12.1 GB used. When I add up ALL of my app usage, I get a total of 1.3 total GB being used by ALL my apps. Yet I have 11.75 GB of "Other". I can't even take a single photo while working! I use my phone for a camera in my line of work and I can't even take one single photo! Yet, after doing a restore or clearing caches, iTunes will show that "Other" goes from a lot to less than 2 GB. But literally, 5 mins later, I walk outside to take a photo and my phone tells me I have reached my limit on storage. I have 7 total photos on my phone. Photo Stream is turned off. WHY? I find it absolutely unbelievable that not one person from Apple can explain what "Other" is. I don't want to hear that it contains this, or it has to do with that...Obviously i am not the only one having this issue, so why can't one employee give us a definitive answer?
Again, please don't reply with any solution that I have mentioned above. I have tried it all, I have been to the Apple Store, nothing has worked. I don't have time to wait at Apple for an hour at a time, when I already have an appointment, just to have them tell me the same crap over and over.  I simply just want a true answer on what EXACTLY "Other" is. My usage in my settings says something completely different than what iTunes tells me.

That is very strange... I wonder if it has something to do with the firmware or some sort of error. I haven't ran into this but at the shop I work at I've ran into several firmware errors on iPhone 4 all the way through the 5s. Maybe its something as simple as putting a different part of the code into iTunes... I know you can something of this extent. I would look up error 1669, I know you have tried a number of things but look it up on the forum and see what fixes are available so that you may be able to restore it properly without all this garbage you are running into. Just a thought for you.

  • How do I remove the permanent frosted bar along the bottom of the iPad? It's only appeared in ios7

    It's only appeared in ios7 and it's annoying :(

What "bar" are y'all talking about?  On the home page, there's the usual bottom bar (the dock) with the primary (user chosen) app icons.  Once in an app, there is no bar unless the app has put its own bar there or you press the home button.
And if you mean the bottom bar the has sound level, brightness, airplane mode, etc buttons/icons, it's there because you swiped up from the bottom to display it.  Just touch the curved line above the middle buttons on the bar and swipe down to get rid of it.

  • [solved] KDE 4.2 Persistent Icons: How to remove permanently?

I'm having problems in 4.2 with getting rid of icons on the desktop and the taskbar.  These are both from my previous 4.1 installation and also some I have deleted from 4.2 itself.
The desktop icons are/were links to applications created in the desktop folder and then dragged across onto the desktop itself.  If I delete these, then next time I log on they appear as "type unknown" icons (white background with some binary numbers).  I can get rid of these by deleting some config files in .kde4/share/config as detailed in post http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=64166. This also removes other changes I've made to the desktop such as wallpaper. Anybody got an alternative way of sorting this?
The taskbar redundant icons are a little more persistent, and I haven't found a way yet of removing these permanently.  Any offers please?
    Edit: KDEmod 4.2

Some people have reported this at bugs.kde.org: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=183635.
This are probably special cases as there were only two or three reports + yours
I'm not really sure how to help in this case. Sorry.
