Remove Keychain Access from Safari

My MacBook is set up so that a keychain access (account login) is required before using Safari the first time after login.
Any ideas on how to remove this requirement?
Thanx

I did accidentally, somehow. It's now at the point where if i hit cancel after being asked for the keychain password, safari loads web pages properly.

How does one remove temporary files from Safari?  A friend logged on to her Facebook account using my iMac running Mac OSX 10.7.5 and Safari 6.1.6.  Now I can't remove her e-mail address from my computer.  When I open Facebook her address shows in the user button.  I do not have a Facebook account.  It was suggested to me that I try clearing temporary files from Safari but I can't find anything that tells me how to do this.  Are temporary files the same as the cache?  It also was suggested that I try clearing Safari cache.  How do I do that?

Check Safari/Preferences/Passwords to see if the Facebook account is there. If so, select it and remove it. If you are still having problems, Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. If that doesn't work, Safari/Reset Safari.

  • Removing posting access from txn codes (FBV2, FBV3 and MIR4)

    Hello all,
There is a business requirement to remove the ability to post
Financial documents from a particular FI role. We are using a
job role (for the most part, one SAP role per user) approach.
For the transaction codes FBV2, FBV3 and MIR4, they would like to
remove the ability to post. The relevant auth. object for
posting is object F_BKPF_BUK, Vendor: Account Authorization. In
this role, the ability to post (which is actually activity 01,
create), has been removed; however, the role still has the
    ability to post the documents.
I executed an auth. trace for each transaction code and the only
activities outside of 03 or 77 (pre-enter) are checked in this
object. I also verified that none of the other roles assigned to
the test ID (a FI reporting and display role) have this
authorization object with 01 in the activity field.
As a sanity check, if anyone has removed posting access from
specific FICO roles, please confirm that this authorization
object is the correct one. I believe I've done the standard
security 'debugging' steps and now I am stuck.
Also, other transactions with posting access FV60 and FBV6 are
restriction from posting by removing activity 01 from objects
    F_BKPF_BLA and F_BKPF_KOA.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, the authorizations were correct in the first place - ths issue is that they didn't test it fully because the post button was still visible. However, when I tested it via the instructions given by FICO, when I selected the post button, security prevented me from doing so and authorization object F_BKPF_BUK for activity 01 was checked.
Next time, I will make sure the testers are testing properly.

    Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
    From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
    Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.

  • Can't remove saved passwords from Safari

Using 10.10.1, Safari 8.0, upgrade from Snow Leopard.
When I try to Remove one or all passwords in Safari's Passwords prefpane, nothing happens. How do I fix this?
In a possibly related issue, when I try to delete the X509Anchors keychain file in Keychain Access, nothing also happens.

Back up all data before proceeding.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    resetp
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

  • Please Help With Keychain Access and Safari Passwords!

    Hello,
I would like to take advantage of the capabilities that Keychain Access has to offer... I like how it can store passwords from websites. I have stored several website passwords in Keychain Access and currently have it set to where it asks for my keychain password when first opening Safari, and then it automatically fills in my passwords that are stored in Keychain Access in the corresponding websites. However, when I close Safari completely, the next time I open Safari it already has my passwords filled in, without asking for my keychain password. The only way I have found to make Safari ask for my keychain password every time it is opened is to select "lock all keychains" in Keychain Access. It is a pain to have to open Keychain Access every time I close Safari in order for Safari to ask for my keychain password again. Is there a more simple way to make Safari ask for my keychain password everytime I open Safari?

Hi, okwildthing. Welcome to the forums!
    Try this:
Open Keychain Access and find "Safari Forms AutoFill" in the list. Double-click it and go to the "Access Control" tab. (You may need to enter your keychain password at this point.) Remove Safari from the "Always allow access by these applications" list. Press "Save Changes."
Does this get Safari to do what you want it to do?

  • How do I remove FBI ransomware from Safari

How do I remove FBI ransomware from Safari

Quit Safari. If necessary, force Safari to quit by following these instructions: OS X: How to quit an unresponsive application using Force Quit.
Hold a Shift key while launching Safari again.
If that does not immediately fix the problem:
    Force Safari to quit again.
Disconnect from the Internet by selecting Wi-Fi "off" in the Mac's menu bar, or disconnecting its Ethernet cable if you're not using wireless.
Launch Safari again by holding a Shift key. No pages will be able to load since you're not connected to the Internet.
Select the Safari menu > Preferences > General, and review your home page selection.
Select the Privacy pane > Remove All Website Data... > Remove Now.After you reconnect to the Internet, you will need to sign in again with all websites that require authentication (such as this one).
Turn Wi-Fi back on again or reconnect your Ethernet cable.
    You'll be back in business.
In an abundance of caution, consider the following additional actions. They are not required to eliminate the scam webpage but you should review them to determine certain Safari settings have not been unexpectedly altered.
Open Safari's Preferences... and select Extensions. Uninstall any Extensions that you are not certain you require by clicking the Uninstall button. If you are not sure what to uninstall, uninstall all of them. None are required for normal operation.
Select the Privacy pane. Verify "Cookies and website data" is configured the way you expect. If you are not certain what choice is appropriate, choose "Allow from websites I visit".For OS X versions prior to Yosemite the equivalent preference is "Block cookies and other website data" > From third parties and advertisers.

Yes! I already turn off the autofill. But the list still come out when I typing in the search bar.

    Hi Kenny,
Re: Turning off autofill in the
    address field...
The alternative to that is to clear your history and
clean up your bookmarks to remove any entries that
you no longer use (Safari uses both to check for url
    autofill items).

  • Issue with keychain access in Safari

Hello everyone! I have a strange problem. After I used the migration assistant in Mac OS X 10.5.6 my keychain has all my old passwords etc. but Safari doesnt fill the password field. It only fills the name of the user. For example I visit a webpage where I have to sign in as username "joe" and password "doe". Now in the field for the username "joe" does appear, but the password field stays empty.
When I delete "joe" from the username field and type it again into it, the field for the password is automatically filled out with the right password. How can I reset or refresh the keychain to work properly?!
    Thanks!!

  • 10.5.6 Has broke Online Banking Access from Safari

Since I updated my Intel imac with this update I can no longer access my online banking with BB&T, this is a very large Southeast Bank, when I log in, it just brings me to another screen, to log in again, no error message, I called the bank and of coarse they told me it's my fault, I must of forgot my password, anyway I talked to their online tech support, and they did tell me that they are aware that the update for the mac has broken the access to their site with Safari, they said I either had to use Internet Explorer or Mozilla, due to the fact that their site is no longer supported by Safari, due to the latest mac update.
    http://www.bbt.com
Note: I also posted this at another site, where others have posted about the same problem with other online banking websites, not just BB&T

I too am a user BB&T online banking and can no longer access the bank after upgrading to 10.5.6. I called the bank this morning and they told me they have been in touch with Apple regarding the problem. I started using Mozilla Firefox and was able to log into online banking. Since I'm a very long time PC owner and recently purchased my first Mac, I'm not impressed with this flop from Apple which I had greater expectations for problem free software. That's why I decided to leave Windows and the PC. Also, I had been a long time user of Mozilla browsers when I had the PC. Safari is starting to look like it's not going to be my browser going forward. What kind of testing is Safari subjected to at Apple? Mozilla has the backing of a large and knowledgeable creative community.
