Remove Lines in a Drop Down?

Is there an "easy" way to remove the line that is appearing
between options
in my combo box? This is Flash CS3/Action Script 3.

In Mail go to the Window Menu and select Previous Recipients. Deleting entries from there won't delete them from your Address Book.

Increase the number of lines in a drop down list

Firefox offers up to 20 lines in its drop down lists with a slider to access additional lines. For example, on password entry, to select the n'th character of the password from A-Z and 0-9 requires a drop down list of 36 lines but only 20 are on offer - irritating time-waster. Can the number of lines be extended?

Can I change the order of lines in a drop-down menu?

Can I change the order of items on a drop-down menu? Specifically, the "open" menu that comes up when I right-click on a link.
Putting "open in new tab" on top of "in new window" makes sense, of course, since it is used more often. But I do a lot of surfing, and had the old position in muscle memory. Re-training my brain to click on the first line instead of the second is taking a long time, and makes me grumbly.
I'd love to put it back to the old order. Can I? and, if so, how do I do it? (Please give me detailed instructions, IOW, please assume I am a complete simpleton, because sometimes I am.)
HP G62 w/ Win 7 home premium. If it matters, it's 64-bit.
And my old desktop, which has, yech, Vista. (I haven't upgraded it to F4 yet.)

Why is my browser stacked? I want my browser features all on the same line and the drop down from the word firefox seems to be the beginning of the problem?

The only way I can describe the problem is, the word Firefox appears on top with a drop down arrow. The next line is the backward/forward button with the address bar. Next is the Most Visited button, Getting Started, Latest Headlines and to the far right Bookmarks. The next line begins with Yahoo logo exclamation mark, search, my mail icon, my My yahoo icon, bookmark icon, messenger icon, yahoo answers icon, the weather icon and finally facebook icon, and to the far right Channels, Notifications, Share this page and toolbar settings. Next final line, tabs I have opened.
I will gladly send a screenshot if this will help solve my problem?.

Blank entry removed from af:selectOneChoice drop down on valueChangeListene

I am using af:selectOneChoice component which is getting populated with values from DB. when the page is loaded first time, I can see one blank entry in this component. I have valueChangeListener set on this. when i change the value, the blank entry is removed.
Can anyone help me with the reason or how can i retain that blank entry.

I think that adding an extra blank entry is feature of af:selectOneChoice (please correct me) however that extra blank entry is removed when i trigger an action on valueChangeListener for af:selectOneChoice.

How to remove values from a drop down menu with personalizations

I have been unable to find any examples of removing values from a dropdown menu using forms personalizations. We have a specific responsibility that we would like to limit the actions that they can carry out on the person form. I have tried setting default values, setting the object to update_allowed = false, and have been unable to come up with a solution. The examples I have found do not show this type of personalization so I am unsure if it can be done. If anyone has done a personalization like this, please post the steps to reproduce or a link to an example. Thanks.

Hi Florin,
If you are using DropDownByKey, just setting the current selection to some key value will remove the default blank entry.
wdContext.current<node name>Element().set<attribute>(<key value of the selected data>);
This will set the value corresponding to this key as the currently selected one in the dropdown and along with this, the default entry will also disappear

When I am entering a single character/number for each of a random selection of three letters in a password verification, I get a drop down list from A to S only, the first 20. Accessing letter T to number 9 means scrolling down. How can I increase the number of lines in a drop down box to 36?

If you are taking about an interface on a website, this is up to the ui designer. But there is a reflow that depends on screensize for the Firefox UI.
You can use asp to control the list:

Address in a Drop Down Menu?

Is it possible to have multiple lines in a drop down menu. I am creating letterhead for my Company. We have six locations. Instead of having them choose each part of the address, line by line, I would like them to be able to choose the whole address in a Drop Down. For example:
ABC Company
123 Main St.
Dallas, TX 12345
I can't figure out how to make a drop down more than one line.

Only with a script and it doesn't work very well at all.
I recommend placing just the company name in the drop-down and then have it populate a text field with the full address when selected.
It would require a script, but this type of operation was discussed here many times in the past.

Font Size in a Drop Down Menu

Is it possible to have the selections in a drop down menu be one font size and then when the selection is choosen it is displayed in a lager font size?
I did this,
form1.#subform[0].DropDownList1[0]:: enter - (FormCalc, client)$.font.size = "12pt"
which made the font size 12pts.
I then tried to put $.font.size ="35pt" on Exit, Validate etc but nothing made the font size change once i selected it.

That didn't work. I have 4 drop downs and i put different font sizes in each enter and exit except the first one where i have nothing at all. For some reason the font on the first drop down is lager than the rest which is strange becasue i have nothing on the enter or exit on that drop down. This seems so simple but i'm at my wits end.
Also, how come there are black lines around the drop downs? I have the border set to none on all of them.

If you select a question from the first drop down and select the same question in the second drop down you'll notice the font on the first drop down is larger.

Creating a new drop down menu when an option in an existing one is chosen

I’m using Coldfusion 9,0,0,251028 on Windows 7 64-bit, with a Microsoft Access 97 database.
I’m having a problem with using a drop-down menu to create another one below it once a certain option is selected
(in this case, the option named “Breaking News”, which has an id of 31).
What event trigger should I use to create a drop-down menu underneath the first one when “Breaking News” is selected?
Should I be using Javascript for something like this, or can Coldfusion handle it?

Depending on the details, I might use ColdFusion to create the content of the second drop down.
The second drop-down is supposed to be an expiration date that gets attached to the message so it can be self-removing.
The first drop-down is to specify a category for a message to be sent out on.
In this case, the only one that needs the secondary expiration drop-down is a single category (Breaking News),
so all other options on the drop-down would have to not trigger the expiration date drop-down showing.
In that situation, would you use ColdFusion to create the second drop down?

Supress the WERK001 plant in drop down lists

Hello all,
My client would like to remove the WERK001 SAP standard plant from drop down lists (eg: in MM01, ME21N etc.....)
I don't want to delete the SAP standard plant so wondering if there is a way to remove it from a drop down list without deleting it.
I know that it can be managed by setting user defaults but the client does not want use this method.
Any help you can provide is appreciated.
