Remove mandatory

Dear Gurus,
I have query in F-29/F-48 when I post advance payment, there is a mandatory field for due date that I don't want so how do I remove that mandatory?
I give me a suggestion

You need to make that field as optional in Field status group.
Please check the FSG in G/L master(FS00) and go into OBC4
and change the status

as far as I know, this is not possible. If a field is mandatory or not in cost center master data is determined by the system.

CUrrently we are using BP_ ERP5ESS1.31 SP5 & SAP_ESS 603 SP5.
All my ESS Services are Displaying fine and working from Portal.I am having the requirement like I need to make Last Name as Non-Mandatory field in Personal Data. While Editing the PD Screen, there i will find the * mark for Last Name filed, i checked through the Global Personalization Make as Mandatory is Not Personalized its showing, i think its defualt prpoerty,so i am unable make any changes from Portal w.r.t Global Personalization.
I checked in SPRO-- Personal Admin> Custmomizing User Interfaces>Change Screen Modifications, there i find the respective Module pool for those Infotypes and country Specific..
I cheked forModulePool MP000200--> P0002 and Variable Key-40(For India) P0002 - NACHIN -- LastName only OF Radio Button is Selected all other Rado buttons are not selected.
I Checked in V_T588MFPROPS view there for 0002 Infotype P0002 -- NACHN Mandatory check box is Checked all other check boxes are Unchecked.
How to make that Last Name field as Non-Mandatory in Personal Data Edit Screen, where i need to make the changes.'
Please list out the Steps..Where i need to do the configuration. And i assigned all the required ESS roles on the backend.

Hi,
I don't think supressing through Global Personalization will change the business logic. Within the Business Logic it checks for the mandatory field.
After the changes I guess you need to make the changes accordingly.

Remove mandatory field from transaction KRMI

Hi,
In transaction KRMI, there are fields material and plant.
Material is a mandatory field. However, the user wants to see all the materials for a plant - not specific materials. They only want to enter the plant.
Is it possible to have material as an un-mandatory field? What are my options? Is guixt a possible solution?
If nothing else works, I would have to rebuild the report or copy & customize it.

Hi John,
SAP GuiXT resides at the presentation layer and defines the layout of the R/3 screen by series of commands in SCRIPT file.
SAP GuiXT is not the correct solution in your case, as this is machine dependent and you need to provide SCRIPT on each and every user machine.This can be only done in case your client has already implemented it.
You should try to find Screen Exit , if the same is not avaliable then proceed with creation of Z transaction.

There is a field in OAOA transaction - Account determination under Asset Type window. This field has the mandatory with value.
I don't want that field as mandatory.

Remove mandatory signature block/e-mail

I am preparing a contract for use with echosign text tags and i am experiencing the following problem.
I am able to add the individual text tags contained in the default signature block but i am still forced to add the default signature block to my contract when incorporated into Echosign.
Here are the text tags in question

This could mean you are probably still missing a required field or there’s a condition on a required field. If there’s a condition, the system is not going to recognize it as required, and place a signature block.

Need to remove prompts which is comes from Bex query

Dear Experts,
Currently i am working in webi report (4.0 SP2), Back end of this webi report is SAP Bex query, created by using BICS Connection. In bex query we have created different variables on Company code,vendor, business area, key date etc. from this company code and key date are mandatory variables.
My Bex users need input screen to execute the report as per their requirement. But my webi users don't required any prompts. they want to manipulate data by using input controls.
Req : How to avoid variables (Prompts) which is coming from bex?

As per my knowledge, We can not remove mandatory BEx variables from the Webi prompt screen. Value for mandatory Query Variable has to be pass from Webi report.
You can create another Bex Query without any variable and need to use for reporting in Webi.

Since the tick is appearing in this field, either the field status group (at posting level or GL level) should have been made mandatory. Can you please check the relevant FSG for the reconciliation account involved for that vendor.
Also since you want this field as optional only for testing purpose, i have a alternative suggestion.
Say, If your substitution is suppose to replace this field with business area A, then enter business area B there and check whether the substituition is replacing this with A again.

When I am clicking on submit button in popup screen, data is appearing on the mainpage table but the same is not saving in the database. One more I have observed that doDML is not calling means SOP's are not comming from doDML method in the entity class.
Please do the needful, its an urgent issue to reslove.

Can you please specify that for your attributes CreatedBy and CreationDate , are you using automatic insert value from your entity or not? Or you are passing default values programatically in doDML() method.
I guess for every new row your are using User name for CreatedBy field and current date for CreationDate field,
Why don't you set these field at the time of creation of new row, Override Create() method in your entity bean and then you can set these fields to there default values. and now you should remove Mandatory property to unchecked for these fields in entity also.
like i'm doing here - I'm setting sequence number as default to field insertedLineNo

Payment Method Deletion

Hi,
We are in 11.5.10
We defined one payment method & saved it. When we try to delete it, we get the followng error:
APP-PAY-52999: You cannot delete this payment method as it is being used by Oracle Cash Managemnt for reconcilation.
We are not using Oracle CM. These methods are not assigned with any payroll or employee payments. Any suggestions how to delete payment methods.

We are in UK legislation. There is no reconcilation tab in the form. There is a response in metalink for the same error & they ask to hit some tables in the back end.
We created another payment method of type Cash, this time I removed mandatory segments of GB Bank Deatils FF, removed the values on Bank Details form & then save & was able to delete the payment method. But the same procedure did not work when try to delete payment methods of type BACS. It throws some update trigger failed exceptions.

Reversal of MIRO

Our client wanted PO no to be populated in each Vendor Line item , for this we came up with a workaround where the users will punch the PO nos at Document header text and made the field mandatory , but subsequently while reversing a wrong MIRO document the system was not allowing for the same, so we removed the mandatory check , and reversed the document , is there any other way for reversing the document without removing mandatory option.

Hi,
The problem is due to document splitting active. Go to Define document splitting splitting characteristics for general ledger accounts and remove the mandatory tick mark for the profit center.
IMG => Financial Accounting (New) => General Ledger Accounting (New) => Business Transactions => Document Splitting => Define Document Splitting Characteristics for General Ledger Accounting
Remove mandatory field for profit center.
or
Maintain the profit center for asset PO to get the profit cennter in MIRO transaction
