Im new to Acrobat Professional.
I have created plenty of forms and these require one or multiple signatures by different people.

  • How to remove these icons in the red box, and Merge the two rows into 1?

    1. How may one remove these icons in the red box?
    2. How may one coalesce/merge the two bottom rows into one row?
I'm running a French version of Adobe Acrobat XI version 11.0.0.

I'm working in AA9, but it may be the same.
The icons are in Tool Groups. The Groups are seperated by the verticle bars.
Right Click within a toolbar group to avail options for enabling and disabling tools within a Group.
The bars themselves can be selected with the mouse and dragged to re-order the groups.

  • How do I get my signature at the bottom of a letter in Mail?

I have my signature in the signatures box in Mail as a .jpg.
How do I get it to the bottom of any letter that I write?
    Many thanks forr your help.

Many thanks for coming back to me.
I think I may have misled you.
My signature is my business card which I scanned into iPhoto and cropped to the size I wanted.
I then copied it as a .jpg to my desktop and then dragged it into  through Mail preferences into signatures.
I dropped and dragged the "signature" onto the e-mail name for which I wishe to you it and this address in prferences now shows one signature.
Now when I write a letter in Mail in the Signatures box at the top right hand side of the letter I see the link back to the .jpg business card on my desktop which is fine.
But I cannot get the signature onto my letter!
    I hope this makes sense
    Again many thanks

  • The Downloaded PDF file does not contain the Signature through BSP pages

    HI,
We have an requirement for Distributing the FORM 16 to all Employee's through our Website, where the user will login and download his own FORM 16 ( TDS Certificate)
This FORM 16 ( TDS Certificate ) is generated in SAP ( ECC 6.0 ) in Payroll Module.
To satisfy the above requirement we have done the following steps.
    1) First we have modified the standards SAP Sapscript(Layout) to incorporate the Signature of Authorised Payroll Person.
We have done this by uploading the BMP file ( though t-code SE78 ) and then calling this file in the Standards layout which prints the FORM 16 document.
    2) WE also Modifed the Dirver program to Download the above document in a .PDF  file.
The Program creates the seperate file for each employee and assigns the employee number as a file name to each downloaded file. These all files are downloaded on a Users Machine.
We opened the Downloaded .PDF files, and checked for the Signatures. The Signature were comming perfect as it ws uploaded.
    3) We uploaded these all FORM 16 PDF file off all emlpoyee's to a different SERVER ( BW 7.0 ). With the help of BASIS person, using the FTP utility.
    4) We wrote a BSP program to download this ulploaded PDF Files.
BUT we are facing a PROBLEM in the DOWNLOADED PDF file.
The Downloaded file does not contain the Signature which is there is the Original file we uploded this server.
All other data in the dowloaded PDF file is Perfect other than the Signature.
When we open the downlaoded PDF file it give's following  message on the Signautre page.
" Xobject not found named 00013"
The number of the Object comes different to different files.
We are using Function module 'SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING' to Convert string to Xstring
We are using the the " CALL METHOD CL_BSP_UTILITY=>DOWNLOAD" for downloading the PDF file.
Please suggest some solution if you can
    Thanks in advnace.

  • Make the signature disappear after the modification of a certified document

    Hallo,
I would like to certify a document to make the people who receive it aware that it is a unique and original document and to discourage people in modifing it.
I've tried using certificate function and, when I activate the certification, the document became protected from editing and my digital signature appears on it.
That's ok but, with one of the many programs used to unlock the protected .pdf documents, I was able to edit the document, my digital signature didn't disappear and the document seem to be original apart from the signature functions which aren't enabled anymore.
I would like a strong visual change on the document, like the disappearing of the signature or the appearing of a mark, in order to tell people:"If you see/don't see this mark the document could have been modified and you don't have to rely on it", is it possible?
I'm using Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro.
    Thank you,
    Alberto Bellini

    Hi Chris,
Just to be clear, I'm only talking about what Acrobat does. To begin with, Acrobat will respect (enforce) the permissions that correspond to a Digital Signature (be it a Certifying or Regular signature). If somehow you do something to the file that is not allowed by the permission set, then the signsature will be rendered invalid.
The question I have is what application is making the change. When it comes to third party software (i.e. not made by Adobe) as long as it can open the file the user can do whatever they want. You can always open a PDF in a text editor and make a change. Whether or not the third party software processes the signature or obeys the permissions is a separate question.
Finally, back to your question. If you do make a change using third party software that is outside the scope of the signature, when you reopen the file in Acrobat (and when I say Acrobat I really mean both Acrobat and Reader, but I'm too lazy to type both) it will show up as invalid. If you made changes that are within the scope of the signature, then the signature would be valid with changes. It would be just as if you made an allowable change using Acrobat.
For example, if adding form data was an allowable change for a Certifying signature, and your ability to write in PDF is strong enough to add the data to the correct object using the third party software, and update the XREF table while keeping the signature byte range intact, when opening the file in Acrobat you would get a valid signature.

  • HTML signatures distorted inside the Signatures and Stationery window preview/edit field, but display fine when used

I created an HTML signature and imported it into Outlook 2010/2013 by placing the .htm file into my %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Signatures folder. The signature looks and works great, however the signature looks distorted / severely squished in width when attempting
to view the signature in the Signatures and Stationery window within Outlook. What would be causing this? Is this a common issue when using .htm signatures?
It isn't too big of an issue as the signatures do work as expected when in normal use, however some users would like to tweak theirs using Outlook's built in editor and are not currently able to.

In my experience at least, that's a normal behaviour. The editor isn't fully WYSIWYG so if you do anything complicated in there it won't always give an accurate representation of what will eventually be output when you insert it into a message. I've seen
the same thing with signatures copied from elsewhere, displaying fine in the email but not in the editor, so it's not restricted to imported .htm files.

  • I received a signed email (signed by IdenTrust) that Thunderbird says the signature is invalid. It says that I don't trust the cert. authority. Help please.

I sent a signed email from my work to home (which uses Thunderbird). I can read the email ok but get the following certificate error:
This message includes a digital signature, but the signature is invalid. The certificate used to sign the message was issued by a certificate authority that you do not trust for issuing this kind of certificate.
The issuing authority is: IdenTrust ECA 3
How can I mitigate this issue? I will need to send encrypted emails back and forth but without this working, it's impossible.
    Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much for your reply. It is greatly appreciated.
I took a look there and IdenTrust isn't listed. How can I get what I need (I am assuming a cert) from IdenTrust making them a trusted authority?
    Thanks again in advance.

  • How to put an e signature into email signature templates?

I am trying to paste a link to my e signature in the Signature template in the email on my MacBook Pro.  It has the Lion server.  PLEASE HELP! I am new to MAC!

    Hey Joosten,
Martino is correct, Animate compositions can't be embedded inside of emails due to email clients blocking JS for security reasons. You also won't be able to embed a SWF or video either. You might be better off creating a page to redirect recipients to  if you need that additional layer of high end content.

  • How to remove a dialogue with the placement of the signature in Acrobat XI

    Hello
I have a problem. After upgrading to Acrobat Standard XI during the signing dialog still shows:
"To start the certification process, select the Create a new rectangle for signature and then drag to select the area where you want the certifying signature appeared. After marking the desired area to get the next step in the certification process. "
At the first signing I understand, but when our accounting so signed dozens of invoices per hour, the next step is clickable for her very annoying. I do not understand that there is no check box "Do not show".
More can be seen on this video: http://screenr.com/gCT7
Do not know if it can not be turned off somewhere? If a developer reads this, please add the option Do not show this dialog.
    Thank you for every answer.
    regards
    Ales Ulrych

    Hi Ales,
I have your request an pass it on to the UI design team, however, I wouldn't count on the change. As a bit of background, when you click the Drag New Signature Rectangle button you are changing the state of Acrobat taking it out of the Selection Tool mode (the arrow cursor) and putting it into the Form Editing mode (the cross hair cursor). At this point the user needs someway to naturally get back to the default Selection Tool mode. The next step in the workflow is to display the Certify Document dialog, and either clicking the Sign button or the Cancel button will put the user back into the default mode. Clicking the Cancel button on the dialog you would like to have removed will also put you back into the default Selection Tool mode.
However, if the dialog was suppressed via the "Do not show again" checkbox then clicking on the toolbar icon that starts the signing process would put you into Form Editing mode and you would have to know how to get back into the default mode if you decided to cancel the signing operation without inscribing a signature form field. It can be done by selecting the Selection Tool toolbar icon, but it is not intuitive. What has to be weighed here is what will the greatest amount of users find to be the easiest workflow. Being able to suppress the Draw Rectangle dialog will add more confusion for the casual user, and the greatest amount of users creating a digital signature on the fly tend to be casual users (that is casual users of digital signatures, not of Acrobat in general).
I'd suggest that if you want to eliminate the create a signature form field on the fly process then add one to the document as part of your file creation process. That way the signer can right click on the signature field to get to the Certify Document dialog and wouldn't have to worry about adding a signature field. Also, using Seed Value (applied during file creation) you make it so the signer can only add a certifying signature and simplify the workflow to a single click to get the Certify Document dialog.

Only Apple Account Security could help at this point. You can try calling Apple Support in Canada - you'll have to find one of the several ways, such as Skype, to call an 800 number from outside of the relevant country - and ask for Account Security and see if they can help. Or you can find a friend who speaks Chinese and ask them to help you talk to Apple Support in China. There are really no other options that I know of.
Note, by the way, that these are user-to-user support forums. You aren't speaking with Apple when you post here.
    Regards.

  • When clicking the Signature box in an interactive PDF form IE crashes.

When we click on the Signature box in an interactive PDF form loaded inside Internet Explorer, it will crash the browser with a message "Internet Explorer has stopped working."
    We have tried:
-this on PDF forms created with Adobe Acrobat Professional X and XI
-loaded the forms on Windows 7 IE 8 and IE 9
    -Adobe Reader X and XI
-loaded IE in no add-ons mode
and the issue still persists. We believe there is an issue with how Internet Explorer and Adobe are communicating but don't understand why clicking inside the Signature box, IE crashes? Any thoughts? Is this related to some kind of Windows update that is impacting the ability to sign PDFs when loaded inside IE browser?

I will not be able to upload any forms as it is propietary information, but here are the steps taken to create the form using Adobe Acrobat Pro X or XI:
Open the PDF in Adobe Pro and click Tools.
In the Forms menu, click Edit.
Click Add New Field > Text Field.
Place the field on the document and edit the field name with the text [MAGICWORD]. This is a magic word that allows the signed form to be saved in the right location.
    Click the All Properties link.
Change the Form Field from Visible to Hidden but Printable under Common Properties.
To add other visible magic word fields (optional),  click Add New Field > Text Field.
Click Add New Field > Digital Signature.
Click Add New Field > Button.
    Click the All Properties link.
    Click the Actions tab.
    Under Add an Action:
Select Trigger – Select Mouse Down.
Select Action – Select Submit a form.
    Click Add.
    Enter the URL:(https://anythingcangohere.com)
This enables the signed form to be submitted and saved in the right location.
Under Export Format, select PDF The complete document.
    Click OK.
To add a label to the button, click the Options tab.
Label: – Enter Submit to athenaNet or Submit.
    Click Close.
