Remove "ORACLE" from UIShell

Experts,
How do we remove ORACLE which is displayed in UIShell used as a template in Jdev 11.1.2.1 ?
thnks

Hi,
the header uses three facets. So the image needs to be small enough to fit into one of these. Alternatively you can download the template sources (at theend of teh article) and maintain your own template. In this case you can change the header section to your needs

  • How to remove Oracle from my server?

    I was testing with Oracle Gateway and tried installing it in the same home as my existing Oracle Home which is Oracle 10g.
    Now, my Oracle is corrupted. Its just a testing server. I was half way deleting the Oracle files and now I am unable to remove the remaining files. I stopped all the services related to Oracle and its still the same.
    How should I remove Oracle from my server now.
    Please guide me.
    Thanks

    If you are window platform restart the machine and remove the remaining files. In case if remaining file are not get delete rename and later drop after some time .
    If you want to delete the oracle on window follow the below steps :
    start-->>all program-->> oracle -->> installation product -->>click on universal installer -->> de-install product -->>click on ora-home -->> click on remove button.
    Hope this help you

  • Remove oracle from windows 2000

    I have removed all oracle components and oracle SID database as
    well.
    Yet I find there are some services still active.
    I tried to remove key from regedit but it gave me cannot delete
    the key.
    Now, How can I remove
    all the services in order to do reinstallation?
    Is there any utilites provide by oracle to do so?

    There is a utility called "oradim" in windows environment to manage services. Look at the help by typing "oradim/h" in the command prompt and follow the syntax.

  • Remove oracle from registry

    I've had to reinstall Oracle 9i Database without reformatting my hard drive.
    Somewhere, I'm assuming in the registry, there is still a reference to my original oracle database SID. I've removed all instances of 'ora92' from my registry, but still have no luck when I try to reinstall the 9i database.
    Is there a solution aside from reformating?
    Thanks, ld

    Hi,
    Here is what I use:
    1. Go to the regedt32
    2. go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE--Highlight the software you want to delete, then delete it.
    3. go to HKEY_CLASS_ROOT -- expand the dropdown box go to the software you want to delete and delete that software.
    Performing these 2 functions now alows you to delete all the folders from the appropriate drive.
    4. go to the drive and delete all the appropriate folders.
    Some software (most) provides services to the software itself and these could still be runnig and must be deleted.
    5. re-enter regedt32 -- go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEMS/CURRENT_CONTROL_SET/SERVICES
    Highlight the service you want to remove and delete it. You will now notice that the item is no longer listed in the following directory: MY COMPUTER/CONTROL PANEL/SERVICES.
    6. Now go to the startup menu and remove all the oracle files that need to be removed. This removes the startup icons. C:\documents and settings\all users\start menu
    \programs\delete appropriate files.
    You now have a clean machine to re install the software again.
    Please make note of these directions for future reference.
    Hope this helps.

  • Need to remove oracle 9i from win 2003 svr

    Hi Guys,
    I have a rogue install of oracle 9i on a windows 2003 server box. It was installed as part of a package from a vendor. But during the setup the deal went south and the oracle install was never removed. I arrive on the scene much later and go to remove it. Universal installer (version 2.??) removes a few components (itself included) and then errors saying "this component was installed with installer 10.2.?? cant remove" I am currently downloading the first disk of the oracle9 db and hope that running the installer from that download will let me remove the rest..Is it going to work for me or will there be some issues with oracle being somewhat butchered as it stands. I need to remove the db any number of reasons. is there a guide on how to manually remove all traces of oracle from a server incase the installer fails?
    Regards Dave

    Thanks Neil. But as we never really had the software setup I dont have a cal number or what ever they call it to login to metalink. if someone would get the note and email me a copy that would be above and beyond the call of duty...but it would sure be helping me out.???

  • How to remove Oracle Services from Win NT Services

    I had oracle 8i(8.1.6) installed and then tried to upgrade to 9i (9.2) but it got messed up as database upgrade only works from 8.1.7 to 9 and not from 8.1.6. SO I uninstalled both 8i & 9i and want to install it again a fresh but before doing this I want to remove the oracle services in Win NT Services.
    How can I do this?
    Thanks

    Here are a couple of links to instructions as to how you might uninstall Oracle:

    How can I achieve this ?
    I used /* in the Faces Servlet URL Pattern. and when I accessed the page using
    http://bri-dev2/Gemini/login.jsp it gave me FacesContext Exception. I am using FacesContext object in login.jsp and several other jsp pages. So /* did not work.
    Any idea ?

    Hi,
    I am afraid this is impossible. You need to find another solution like a filtering queue. Your messages can be sent to a queue that is monitored by let say a MDB. This MDB will maintain a map of title and only forward once a given title/message to your topic.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to remove xmls from output?

    Hello All,
    I have created a BPEL process that takes a flat file and converts to an XML file. I get an output of the following (see below). Is there a way that I can remove xmlns="" from the output?
    Incorrect Output
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <WhseShipNotice xmlns="">
    Correct Output
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <WhseShipNotice>
    Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Kathy

    I can remember if this xsd removes namespaces correctly, I think it may still have the initial xmlns at the top but give it a try. Typically what needs to be done is some embedded java to do this.
    <schema targetNamespace="http://www.oracle.com/Gateway"
            xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
      <element name="Message">
      <complexType>
        <sequence>
          <element name="Header">
            <complexType>
            <sequence>
               <element name="UniqueID"             type="string"/>
               <element name="RoutingRule"          type="string"/>
               <element name="FileName"             type="string"/>
               <element name="Destination"          type="string"/>
               <element name="TransportType"        type="string"/>
               <element name="Attachment"           type="string"/>
               <element name="MQMessageID"          type="string"/>
               <element name="MQCorrelationID"      type="string"/>
            </sequence>
            </complexType>
            </element>
          <element name="Payload"            type="base64Binary"/>
        </sequence>
      </complexType>

  • WCF Data services remove miliseconds from DateTime when expand

    I get some strange behavior, when using WCF Data Services 5.6. In my case, I have table, with 1 column set with Concurrency=Fixed, and this column hold date time field from database, updated each time when row is edited. In case I just retrieve entity -
    this column has correct value with milliseconds. But if I do mapping - milliseconds are removed.
    Here is a issue at glance :
    ====================================================================
    void Main()
    var b = from p in TABLE1 where p.ID == 100 select p;
    b.Dump();
    Request in this case is : Data.svc/TABLE1(100M) And data returned from service is :
    <d:COL1 m:type="Edm.DateTime">2015-02-16T12:13:52.972</d:COL1>
    ====================================================================
    As you can see , here time is returned with milliseconds - .972 In other case :
    void Main()
    var tmp = from p in TABLE1 where p.ID == 100 select
    new TABLE1()
    ID=p.ID,
    COL1=p.COL1
    var a1 = tmp.ToList();
    a1.Dump();
    Request in this case is : Data.svc/TABLE1(100M)?$select=ID,COL1
    <d:COL1 m:type="Edm.DateTime">2015-02-16T12:13:52</d:COL1>
    ====================================================================
    Time is returned without milliseconds.
    Does anybody have same problem? May be its a bug in the WCF Data services or in the model?

    Ok, seems like I found an answer to this, or at least way to avoid the problem.
    First I traced generated SQL from framework, and I see that in first case, im getting SQL
         SELECT ID, COL1 FROM TABLE1
    and in second case, I got
         SELECT ID, CAST( COL1 AS DATETIME) FROM TABLE1
    which cause the problem.
    Then I tried to update EF to version 6, WCF Data services to version 5.6.3,
    Oracle ODP to latest one, tried to use Oracle managed driver... no any success.
    Then I played little bit with table definition, and I saw that my col1 with type TIMESTAMP in database and DateTime in the model was defined as NOT NULL.
    If I remove this from database definition, I got right value with milliseconds.
    So , may be this is a bug in Oracle driver, but probably this is a bug in the WCF Data Services. At least I found a way to use concurrency in my case with this solution.

  • Union all-distinct and remove duplicates from nested table?

    Hi all,
    I need a select that will bulk collect some data in my nested table.
    I have two tables from which I need to select all the accounts only once.(remove duplicates).
    Tried to search on the forum...but no luck.
    I have a table with one column:
    create table a1(account_no number);
    and a second table with 3 columns.
    create table a2 (account_no number, name number, desc varchar2 (100));
    I have a nested table like:
    table of a2%rowtype;
    Can I select from this two table in one select and put in my nested table just one row per account?
    if a I have in a 2a row like :
    1 'test' 'test2'
    2 aaaa aa
    and in a1 a row like:
    1
    I want to put in my nested table just (1, null,null and 2,aaaa, aa)) or (1,test,test2 and 2,aaaa, aa). it does no matter what row from those two I insert.
    Second question:
    If I use:
    BANNER
    Oracle9i Release 9.2.0.5.0 - Production
    PL/SQL Release 9.2.0.5.0 - Production
    CORE     9.2.0.6.0     Production
    TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 9.2.0.5.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 9.2.0.5.0 - Production

    what is the best solution to remove duplicates from a neste table like mine?
    I thought that I can build another nested table and loop in my first nt and for each row I check in there was the same account in previous lines.
    it will be like:
    for i in 1....nt_first.count loop
    for j in 1..i loop
        --check if my line was in previous lines. if it was...do not move it in my second collection
    end loop;it is this best option in oracle 9i?

    I have a table with one column:
    create table a1(account_no number);
    and a second table with 3 columns.
    create table a2 (account_no number, name number, desc varchar2 (100));
    all I need are the accounts. the rest ar extra data
    that I can ignore in this step. But if it is
    available, it is ok to use it.
    using one select in this case is is much better that
    trying to remove duplicates parsing some nested table
    with FOR many times?
    Thankshi,
    try to use union. Union automatically removes duplicates between two or more tables.
    with t1 AS
           (select '3300000' account_no FROM DUAL UNION
            select '6500000' account_no FROM DUAL union
            select '6500000' account_no FROM DUAL union
            select '6500000' account_no FROM DUAL union
            select '6500000' account_no FROM DUAL
           select * from t1ACCOUNT_NO
    3300000
    6500000

    Thanks,

    What operating system are you on?
    Okay, assuming unix of some sort and not Windblows...
    This is a nice trick I figured out long ago and is how I am able to easily run multiple versions of oracle with multiple Oracle_Homes on the same servers (unix):
    You can easily set your path in your .profile, or .bash_profile, or .cshrc (ugh).
    # Set up the PATH <jww>
    PATH=$HOME:.:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/contrib/bin
    export PATH
    echo $PATH > $HOME/ORIGINAL_PATH
    Then..... (here's the main part)
    I set up a case script that I accept input based on the ORACLE_SID, which then executes (sources) an oraenv file (of sorts). This file then sets the path for the database based on instance name and version of software requirements.
    #!/bin/ksh
    # orcl
    export ORACLE_SID=orcl
    export ORACLE_BASE=/u01/oracle/product
    export ORACLE_HOME=$ORACLE_BASE/10.2
    export ORAENV_ASK=NO
    alias admin='cd /u01/oracle/product/admin'
    export NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8
    #Set up the PATH environment
    ORIGINAL_PATH=`cat $HOME/ORIGINAL_PATH`
    PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/bin:$ORACLE_HOME/ldap/bin:$ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/bin:$ORIGINAL_PATH
    ## adding the following parameters required for certain oracle utilities (wallet, sqlldr, etc.)
    # jww, 01/08/2008
    ## for Oracle 10G
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64=$ORACLE_HOME/lib:/usr/lib
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib32
    ## According to Oracle NOTE: 418548.1
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    echo ""
    echo " Verifying environment variables set properly: "
    echo " ============================================= "
    env |grep 'ORACLE_SID' | grep -v '$ORACLE_SID'
    env |grep 'ORACLE_BASE'
    env |grep 'ORACLE_HOME'
    echo ""
    Hope this helps...

    Due to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended. Firefox 3.6.18 would be the safer choice.
    Here's the process to roll back:
    First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
    Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
    Close Firefox 5.
    You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
    Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
    As for your registration here on the support site, I don't know how you can delete it. But in the future, just use Google to find answers like this.

  • How to prevent Oracle from using an index when joining two tables ...

    How to prevent Oracle from using an index when joining two tables to get an inline view which is used in an update statement?
    O.K. I think I have to explain what I mean:
    When joining two tables which have many entries sometimes it es better not to use an index on the column used as join criteria.
    I have two tables: table A and table B.
    Table A has 4.000.000 entries and table B has 700.000 entries.
    I have a join of both tables with a numeric column as join criteria.
    There is an index on this column in table A.
    So I instead of
      where (A.col = B.col)I want to use
      where (A.col+0 = B.col)in order to prevent Oracle from using the index.
    When I use the join in a select statement it works.
    But when I use the join as inline view in an update statement I get the error ORA-01779.
    When I remove the "+0" the update statement works. (The column col is unique in table B).
    Any ideas why this happens?
    Thank you very much in advance for any help.
    Regards Hartmut

    I think you should post an properly formatted explain plan output using DBMS_XPLAN.DISPLAY including the "Predicate Information" section below the plan to provide more details regarding your query resp. update statement. Please use the \[code\] and \[code\] tags to enhance readability of the output provided:
    In SQL*Plus:
    SET LINESIZE 130
    EXPLAIN PLAN FOR <your statement>;
    SELECT * FROM TABLE(DBMS_XPLAN.DISPLAY);Usually if you're using the CBO (cost based optimizer) and have reasonable statistics gathered on the database objects used the optimizer should be able to determine if it is better to use the existing index or not.
    Things look different if you don't have statistics, you have outdated/wrong statistics or deliberately still use the RBO (rule based optimizer). In this case you would have to use other means to prevent the index usage, the most obvious would be the already mentioned NO_INDEX or FULL hint.
    But I strongly recommend to check in first place why the optimizer apparently seems to choose an inappropriate index access path.
