I just went through this with Oracle support. The only solution is to replace the logo.gif file with 1X1.gif (copy 1x1.gif to logo.gif). That gets rid of the Oracle logo, but not the box, nor the copyright statement.
According to Oracle support this is by default and cannot be modified. They claim to be concidering this for a future release.
Let me ask, Are you running this as a portlet within a page? or as part of a dynamic page or calling it alone?
If you are calling it alone, run it as a full page, and choose a template that has minimal formatiing. I think it is called portal_template_example1 ??
If you are running it a portlet in a page, edit the page region and uncheck show portlet headers.
If you are running it as part of a daynamic page then you can run it by using the run as a stored procedure example (manage, show)
but nothing else io the dynamic page will show.
If you you have more questions, e-mail me.

  • My thread is gone! Is it undesired to post bugs about Oracle Products here?

A few days ago i posted a thread here about a bog in ODP.NET Driver 10.2.0.2.10 Beta
    Now this thread seems deleted.
Is it undesired to post bugs about Oracle Products here?

Thank you Mark for the info.
The practise to delete posts without any comments casts a damning light on Oracle and can gives the impression that oracle the way of repairing bus is to hide them.
For a cutomers like me that invets time to analyze issues in oracle software and invets time again to post them here to help Oracle it is very disappointing to see that my posts are delete without comments.
Oracle should think about that mistreating their customers is not a fine way. This is unsuitable for giving custumers the feeling that Oracle is intrested in their problems.
The right way would be to delete the content of a post intead of the complete thread and give a small comment why it has ben removed.
Sorry for this harsh post, but in the last monts i am more and more disappointed about the faultiness of Oracle products, the slowness of Oracle Support and the false promises regarding to meeting deatlines.
I have the feeling to be on a sinking ship with Oracle.
This Forum here is sometime a ray of hope but the rest of Oracle...

  • Can't intsall oracle products on Windows 2000

The Oracle Universal Installer didn't start (no any error message returns) when I run setup.exe to install the Oracle8i Enterprise Server on the Windows 2000, the same problem happened with the Oracle9i Application Server too. My machine is Dell Dimension 8100 (P4, 128 MB Memory, 80 GB Disk), which meets the system requirement by Oracle. Anyone can help me identify what's problem ?
    Thank you in advance

It works! As you mentioned the symcjit.dll causes the problem. Thank you very much for help.
By the way I just got email from Oracle, which says the issue occurs on all P4 machines when installing Oracle products by Oracle Universal Installer under Windows 2000. There is no fix until now. That's weird, isn't it? All PC/Server will go to P4 sooner, doesn't Oracle care it ?
    Thank you again

-- Copy all the files to c:\temp\oracle
    -- Search for symcjit.dll in c:\temp\oracle
    -- Rename/remove the file symcjit.dll
    -- Click on setup.exe/ autorun.exe to install.

  • How to remove Oracle Server 8.0.5 from AIX 5.2?

I am attempting to remove software Oracle Server Enterprise Edition 8.0.5 using program orainst. I change directory to /u01/app/oracle/product/8.0.5/orainst and execute the command and get an error message:
    $ ./orainst
Cannot determine if this is AIX version 3 or 4.
    Oracle cannot be installed.
    Exiting orainst procedure.
This UNIX server is running AIX 5.2. I was trying to use Oracle's program to uninstall the software instead of using a UNIX command to remove the files. When I run the Oracle 10gR2 OUI it lists only the 10gR2 software as being installed. It does not show the 8.0.5 and 9.2.0 software that I want to uninstall. I am going to raise the 10gR2 OUI question in a different post.
Does anyone have a suggestion on dealing with the message from the 8.0.5 orainst program?
Am I taking the right steps to uninstall the 8.0.5 software?
    Thank you,
    Bill

Oracle's recommended way to remove software is via the same program used to install it. If that is not possible they do give instructions on removing directories using UNIX commands. If I use UNIX commands there remains the problem of updating file /u01/app/oracle/oraInventory/ContentsXML/inventory.xml to remove references to the software I deleted.
    Remarks in ContentsXML state clearly
"<!-- Do not modify the contents of this file by hand. -->". That tells me not to use vi to edit the file and delete obsolete references.
    Since the file contains lines
    <HOME NAME="ORACLE_HOME1" LOC="/u01/app/oracle/product/8.1.7" TYPE="O" IDX="1"/>
    <HOME NAME="ORACLE_HOME" LOC="/u01/app/oracle/product/9.2.0" TYPE="O" IDX="2"/>
    <HOME NAME="ORACLE_HOME_10g" LOC="/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0" TYPE="O" IDX="3"/>
    <HOME NAME="agent10g" LOC="/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/agent10g" TYPE="O" IDX="4"/>
how else am I to remove references to deleted software except by execution of Oracle's install software?
    Thank you,
    Bill

  • Remove Oracle home 2 only

OS: SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8
    Oracle DB: 10.1.0.2.0
    Hello All,
I have two oracle home on single box.
    For my Database
    /opt/oracle/product/10.1.0/db_1For HTML_DB
/opt/oracle/product/10.1.0/ccdI'd like to remove ccd home.
can any one tell me the secure command to remove all objects under ccd only?
I have deinstall ccd home product from HTML_DB cd but still >/opt/oracle/product/10.1.0/ccd and its child objects are exits.
Please note: I do not want to remove any thing from >/opt/oracle/product/10.1.0/db_1.
    Regards,
    D

1st Off use the Oracle runInstaller to remove the software and the home for the home you want to get rid of.
Then (as it doesn't actually remove all teh directories and files) do an rm -rf /opt/oracle/product/10.1.0/ccd
also you may need to check things like the following files (usually in /etc or /usr/local/bin) oratab oraenv emtab for references to the instance you have deleted - also beware any .profile or .bash_profile entries which may have now redundant Paths etc in them.

  • Remove Oracle

    Hi ,
How can I remove Oracle S/W and Database completely from Windows and Linux machines.
    Thanx in advance.

    WARNING:
    1. Remove all Oracle components from your computer only as a last resort,
and only if you want to remove ALL Oracle components from your system.
    2. These instructions remove all Oracle components, services, and registry
entries from your computer. In addition, any database files in the
subdirectories under ORACLE_BASE\ORADATA\ are also removed.
    3. These procedures will also remove Oracle network configuration files,
user written scripts and any other user generated files that may be stored
    in Oracle_Base directories.
    4. Exercise extreme care when removing registry entries. Removing incorrect
entries can severely compromise your computer.
MANUALLY REMOVING ALL ORACLE COMPONENTS AND SERVICES FROM YOUR COMPUTER
    A. Removing Components on Windows NT/2000.
To remove all Oracle components from a computer on Windows NT/Windows 2000:
    1. Check privileges:
1.a. Ensure you are logged in as a user with Administrator privileges.
    2. Stop all Oracle services (if any are running):
2.a. NT: Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > Services.
2000: Right click My Computer > Manage > Services and Applications > Services
2.b. If any Oracle services (their names begin with Oracle) exist and have
the status Started, select the service and click Stop.
2.c. Click Close to exit the Services window.
2.d. Close the Control Panel/Computer Management window.
    3. Remove the entries in the Windows registry:
    3.a. Start the registry editor:
    Choose Start > Run > regedt32
    3.b. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE
Note the value of the key INST_LOC, this is the location of the Oracle Universal
Installer. The default location is C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory. If this
value is different, make note of it, so we can delete these files later.
    Delete this ORACLE key.
3.c. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC and expand all subkeys and
remove all keys under here which are related with the
    "Oracle ODBC Driver"
3.d. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services and remove
all keys under here that begin with ORACLE or ORAWEB.
    3.e. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\...
\Application and remove all keys under here that begin with ORACLE.
    3.f. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
and remove any entries related to Oracle.
3.g. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, remove all keys that begin with Oracle, OraPerf or
    OraOLEDB
    3.h. Close the registry.
    4. Clean up the environment settings:
4.a. NT: Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Environment tab
    2000: Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Advanced tab >
    Environment variables.
4.b. At "System Variables" click on the variable PATH in order to modify
the value. For example, you may see a path similar to this one:
    C:\ORACLE\ORA81\BIN;C:\PROGRAM FILES\ORACLE\JRE\1.1.7\BIN
4.c. If an %ORACLE_HOME% was installed, remove this %ORACLE_HOME%\BIN path.
4.d. If JRE was installed by Oracle, remove the JRE path.
4.e. If there is a CLASSPATH variable under "System Variables", first make note
of the path defined, then delete it. This variable can be added back at
    a later date if needed.
4.f. Check if there are any other Oracle variables set in "System Variables",
ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID or TNS_ADMIN. If these exist, delete them also.
4.g. Click on APPLY and OK.
4.h. Close the Control Panel window.
    5. Delete the software and icons:
5.a. NT: Choose Start > Programs > Windows NT Explorer.
2000: Choose Start > Programs > Accessories > Windows NT Explorer.
    5.b. NT: Go to SYSTEM_DRIVE:\WINNT\PROFILES\ALL USERS\START MENU\PROGRAMS
    2000: Go to SYSTEM_DRIVE:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\START MENU\PROGRAMS
(Note: These locations depend on whether OS was upgraded from NT,
or this was a fresh install of 2000)
    and delete the following icons:
    - Oracle - HOME_NAME
where HOME_NAME is the previous Oracle home name.
    - Oracle Installation Products
5.c. Go to SYSTEM_DRIVE:\Program Files\Oracle or the location of INST_LOC as
noted earlier in step 3.b and delete this directory.
5.d Go to SYSTEM_DRIVE:\Temp and delete all files and directories in here.
5.e. Go to the drive where the Oracle software is installed on your machine
and delete all ORACLE_BASE directories on your hard drive.
5.f. Close the Windows NT Explorer.
    6. Finish the removal:
    6.a. Empty the recycle bin
Right click on recycle bin > Empty Recycle Bin.
    6.b. Reboot your computer.

  • How to remove Oracle from my server?

I was testing with Oracle Gateway and tried installing it in the same home as my existing Oracle Home which is Oracle 10g.
Now, my Oracle is corrupted. Its just a testing server. I was half way deleting the Oracle files and now I am unable to remove the remaining files. I stopped all the services related to Oracle and its still the same.
How should I remove Oracle from my server now.
    Please guide me.
    Thanks

If you are window platform restart the machine and remove the remaining files. In case if remaining file are not get delete rename and later drop after some time .
If you want to delete the oracle on window follow the below steps :
    start-->>all program-->> oracle -->> installation product -->>click on universal installer -->> de-install product -->>click on ora-home -->> click on remove button.
    Hope this help you

  • Where can I get a list of all Oracle products available in the Cloud?

All Oracle Products available in the Cloud can be viewed here
Applications can be accessed under dedicated "Knowledge Zones" where you can have insightful information about the product, how to develop, implement, market and sell the solutions. Also, under "Join the discussion" tab, you can engage with Oracle and follow the discussion on dedicated social media channels.

LOL what a useless doc.  Maybe https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=612452503286937&id=1337394.1&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-…
is a bit better, but good luck trying to be Itanium specific.
Edit:  Well, so much for trying to paste in an MOS doc link.  It's called 10.2.0.5 Patch Set Updates - List of Fixes in each PSU [ID 1337394.1]

  • Multiple Oracle Products on Single Server

Can we install Multiple Oracle Products for Development and Testing on a Single Server?
    Oracle Database 9i Enterprise Edition.
    Oracle 9i Application Server
Oracle Applications 11i (Financials GL,HRMS PAYROLL)
    Oracle Discoverer 4.x
Oracle Internet Developer Suite (Forms Server, Reports Server,
    If yes,
Do they need to be in separate ORACLE_HOME or same ?
Also what should be the sequence of Install, i.e. what should be installed first?

The following products needs to be in their own Oracle Home:
Oracle Database 9i Enterprise Edition. --> in its own O_H
Oracle 9i Application Server --> in its own O_H (assuming this is 1.0.2.2 or 9.0.2)
Oracle Applications 11i (Financials GL,HRMS PAYROLL) --> in its own O_H
Oracle Discoverer 4.x --> in its own O_H (this is a 806 based product btw)
Oracle Internet Developer Suite (Forms Server, Reports Server) --> This can either be in its own O_H or in the O_H which has 1.0.2.2 Oracle9i Application Server.

  • Oracle Product Workbench - connection issue with EBS 12.1.3

    Hi,
we've upgraded EBS to 12.1.3 and our Product Workbench is no longer able to retrieve the organization info from the server. We're checking the Packet details in Network Statistics in that case an also when View Concurrent Requests is opened and the server sends back the login page. So apparently PWB cannot log in to the server and is requested to enter credentials.
    Apache response is:
    170.251.121.114 - - [18/Nov/2011:08:48:58 -0500] "GET /OA_HTML/AppsLogin?requestUrl=http%3A%2F%2Febsapp_lab.accenture.com%3A8000%2FOA_HTML%2FOA.jsp%3FpageHidden%3DY%26LanguageCode%3DUS%26page%3D%2Foracle%2Fapps%2Fdna%2Fintegration%2Fwebui%2FDnaIntegrationPG%26ServerDBC%3DPIMDB%26integration_xml%3D%3C%253Fxml%2520version%253D%221.0%22%2520encoding%253D'UTF-8'%253F%3E%26transactionid%3D1530222396%26oapc%3D2%26oas%3DMt4FQpG-HDucayzYKri9lA..&cancelUrl=http%3A%2F%2Febsapp_lab.accenture.com%3A8000%2FOA_HTML%2FAppsLogin&errText=You+have+insufficient+privileges+for+the+current+operation. HTTP/1.1" 302 1620 0 "-" "Oracle Product Data Editor"
    To sum up: errText=You+have+insufficient+privileges+for+the+current+operation.
If we log in to the old EBS to 12.1.1 with the same browser and same settings, we don't have that issue.
Any idea of what that can be?
    Thanks. Raúl.

The issue was a "_" char in the hostname. This must be changed as is not IETF-compliant and therefore not a supported character and is known to cause problems. Refer RFC 952 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc0952.txt) for more information. This is also documented in Microsoft article Q275033 "Cookies Are Not Saved If the Host Name Is Invalid", this feature was introduced from IE 5.01 SP1 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;275033
