Remove orphan menu?

I have cs4...I am looing at my project assests and DON'T see a STUDIO MENU I accidentally brought in early on. When I CHECK the PROJECT I see this menu is ORPHANED. ...again does NOT appear as a project asset...HOW DO I DELETE/REMOVE IT?

Does the Project Build, even with the Orphaned Menu? Most often, they will. Now, you will get a warning that you have an Orphaned Menu, but beyond that, people seldom have issues.
If you do not have the Menu in your Project Panel, or in the Orphanage, the only other option, that I can think of, is to redo the Project, and not Import that Menu. When this happens, it is often that one has tried to Cancel the Importation, and has managed to stop the full Importation, but the links still exist.
You might also look in your Media Cache and see if the Menu is in there. Try doing a Delete from Bridge. Note: the file names will be different there, so be careful what you Delete.

[Edit] Changed "Windows Explorer" to "Bridge," as Bridge will give thumbnails of the PSD files that constitute a Menu - Windows Explorer (at least through Vista) does not display PSD's as thumbnails, since the PSicon.dll was removed some years back.

I lose the minimize, restore and close down buttons in the top right corner when removing the Menu Bar.

I am using Firefox 28.0 on my Windows 7 64-bit PC. I would like to remove ONLY the menu bar and keep the orange Firefox tab. But when I uncheck the Menu Bar box, I not only lose the menu bar, I lose the three buttons on the very right of the screen as well - the minimize button, the maximize/restore down button, and the red 'X' close button. The space where these buttons ought to be is black. When I recheck the Menu Bar box, those three buttons on the right of the screen reappear!

I tried your suggestions of using Safe Mode and a different Windows theme (2 different ones to be exact), but neither solved the problem. Each time I tried disabling the Menu Bar, the same 3 buttons disappeared and I got nothing but black space. It doesn't even fill the space with any background I may have. It's just black.
Additionally, disabling all my personas did not help, either. :(
I've been using Firefox for years now and I've never had this issue. It's always worked flawlessly for me.

Is there a way to remove the menu bar from a secondary display while still using the very useful "Displays have separate spaces" mode?
The reason I ask is that most full-screen video playback in most applications, from iTunes to Flash/Silverlight plugins do not take up the full screen, instead leaving space for the menu bar (in the case of iTunes) or leaving the menu bar present on top of the video (for fullscreen Flash/Silverlight videos).
This is annoying for several reasons ranging from the obvious distraction factor to the fact that 1080p video is not played back at native resolution on a 1080p display.
If there is no way to disable this functionality while maintaining separate spaces, I would (humbly) suggest that a future update to Mavericks allow non-Lion-style* full-screen apps to take over the entire display.
*Lion-style full-screen apps are those that animate into a full-screen mode when the opposing-arrows full-screen button in the upper-right-hand corner of the window is pressed.

No. Turning that off reverts to the old display setup. You have one desktop spanned across all displays. The menu bar appears on the primary display only.

After a kernel panic my log says hfs removed orphaned or unlinked files and directories

Today, September 14, I had my first ever kernel panic on a MacBook Pro that was purchased in July of this year. After reboot, a file that I use every day seemed to be missing all updates since September 6. There were no newer versions in my TimeMachine backups either. During my investigation to determine how that could be, I found these entries in my log of the post-panic reboot:

Remove a menu + Stop a viewer from saving

HI there I have 2 problems;
1- As attached in the code, I have a link that once clicked a
newhtml page will be opened it contain a html file of a captivate
project it has control buttons, when I right click the control
buttons a small menue appear that contains
-settings
-About Adobe Flash Player 10
How Can I remove this menue completely?
2- Also how can I make the user unable to save the content of
the new window that has the captivate project, I was thinking of
making the 'save as' and the 'send link' in the file menu of the
broswer dim but I do not know how ? any idea about that? or how to
ban the user from saving the window at all ?

Orphan menu page

How can I find and fix an orphan menu page in Encore?
Adobe tells me there is a problem and it won't work, but does nothing to tell me where the problem is or how to fix it.

Search "orphan menu" (as you probably have), and you'll see that sometimes, you just can fix it. The project may work, or it may not. The only certain fix is to start the project over.
You can click on the warning in the "check" window, and it may take you to the problem menu. Does it? Is there anything in the orphanage?

Remove orphaned domain

I have a domain called Ixxxx.com with two domain controllers in a clustered environment. i added another domain called dxxxx.com . the domain dxxxx.com crashed and i had to format the server. now when i try to create a new domain in existing
forest with the name dxxxx.com it says "The name dxxxx.com is already in use on the network. type a name that is not in use."
how do i remove any reference to dxxxx.com and then recreate a domain with the same name in existing forest ?

PSE5 organizer tracking deleted and renamed folders and removing orphan thumbnails

If files are deleted or renamed within a folder that's being watched by organizer, the changes made through explorer or any other program don't seem to ever get reflected in Organizer. For example, I deleted an entire folder of junk photos through Windows. They still show in Organizer. How do I tell Organizer to re-scan the folder and remove orphan thumbnails from the catalog? The only thing I've been able to do at this point is to highlight them all and delete them. That's not bad for a single folder, but is a pain when I've done a lot of renaming, reorganizing, and creation and deletion of folders and subfolders under the watched folder.
I've used a program called Thumbs Plus for years, and it has an option "remove orphans" that you can do globally, or on a folder and its subfolders. I'm wondering if there's something similar in PSE.

Yes, I realize that in an "ideal" world we could do absolutely all of our organizing in "organizer" but I just can't see that becoming a reality. We have different users on this computer and there are certainly going to be times when we're already working in another program, including Windows Explorer. One would think that if Organizer is monitoring a folder it would detect all changes, or at least have a manual "rescan folder" or "remove option of some sort to help get the real files back in sync with the catalog. Hmmm. I'm still using eval mode and not sure that I like this part! Perhaps the next version will do better in this regard.

OK i am making a DVD and creating a menu. I had a bunch of errors 10+ and am down to 1....and i am lost.
I dont understand this orphan menu problem. It is the main menu.
I read the post on it and it didnt make any sense to me.
I did see someone post the flowchart so i am doing it here.
Also would be glad to give any other information needed to help me burn this DVD:-)

I am starting to get it
I have 4 timelines
First is the intro: 1 time line around 18 minitues
Then the MPFF: 1 timeline around 20 minutes
third Abundant Space: 1 timeline 20 minutes
the last is a bit more complicated
When i did talk to my editor a week back he said to export the whole timeline
which included 9 different videos for a total of about 30 minutes
( 1 video called Mind Flex 19 minutes...and a series of 8ea 3-4 minute videos meant to be watched together...but could be watched one at a time if wanting to review just that video) I linked chapter playlists and playlists so they would have an end action of coming back to the menu...unless they hit play all to watch them all through.
On the time lines i went in and made chapter markers very percisely for each video. I also did the poster markers for the animated buttons.
The Mind Flex video ( video #3) is part of the 4 video buttons on the first menu
All 8 of the 3-4 minute videos are on the second menu.
I use the same menu video and audio on both menus . I made the video in Premier Pro cs5 and it works great and looks good.
What i am looking for the dvd to do is be able to watch each video seperately and then come back to the menu page they were on....or watch them all from menu #1 or play all on menu #4 ( not sure why it named it #4 because it is actually #2 )
I guess i can go back and build them all....the biggest issue for me was lining them all up to look even:-)

Remove orphaned entries from my library?

These are in iTunes on a Windows 7 PC. My files are ripped from my CD's and not purchased from iTunes.
I want to remove some of my MP3 files from my library. They are in one particular directory on my PC, but are scattered all over my iTunes library (they have different artists, albums, genre etc. No easy way to locate them all inside iTunes).
If I delete or move the files from my hard drive, the entries in iTunes will get orphaned.
How do I remove, cull, weed my library of orphaned files? (I'm surprised that this is not available as a maintenance tool in iTunes...)
These have been uploaded to iTunes Match as well. If I delete them from my library and update my Match, will these get deleted from the iCloud as well?
I would like these orphaned songs removed from both my local library and my Match.

Lost & Found
Create a playlist called Found, select everything in Music and drag it into the Found playlist (it may take some time to count the tracks that are to be dropped). Create a smart playlist called Lost matching All the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Found. Your lost tracks will be in this playlist.
You can select all the entries in the Lost playlist with Ctrl-A, then press Shift-Delete to delete them from the library.
I'm not certain what the score is with iTunes Match as I don't subscribe, but I believe you may get a box to confirm the deletions which includes an option to "Remove from iCloud", in which case select it.

Well, I dont want users to be able to access/modify the trusted identities, so i decided to remove/hide the:
Acrobat X > "Sign & Certify (panel)" > More sign & certify (i think its a menu) > Manage trusted identities (menu item).
And can i hide/remove above mentioned item in any way other than javascript, like plugin code?
Is it in any way possible to prevent user from accessing/modifying the acrobat trusted indentities?
