Remove pic from ichat

How do I remove my image from my iChat conversations?

HI,
With the Chat window as the "Front" Window go to the View Menu > Messages and Chose something that does not include the Pictures  (Names and Pictures is popular if not the actual default)
This will also remove Buddy pics.
If you wish to have nothing for yourself you have to put a blank pic in the Buddy Pic spot.
If you click and hold the current Buddy pic it is a drop down for Recent pics and a way to set a new pic.

How to remove pics from my 3GS..???

Photos taken with the phone can be deleted by selecting them and hitting the little wastebasket icon in the right bottom corner.
Photos you did sync to your phone, can only be removed by deselecting them in the photo pane in iTunes, the following sync will remove them from the phone.

  • Removing pics from Projects

    Hi,
I just bought Aperture and have watched the tutorials on Lynda and Apple. I have a question that is probably very simple but the solution is alluding me.
For example: Say I started a project and called it, Friends. I put everything in it because I just bought a new camera and was playing around learning Aperture and the new cam. When the project started to get large I created more Projects and Albums within them. I know I can remove pics from the albums but how do I do it from the Project folder? When I try it removes them permanently. So now in my Friends Project I have 133 pics of everything I took but only two albums counting about 50 pics total.
    I hope that makes sense!
    Thanks in advance.
    Rob

I am sorry but I do not really understand your specific question.
    Visualize it this way:
Image files live in Projects. An Album is a virtual grouping of "pointers" to images that live in various Projects. There are no actual image files in an Album, just pointers.
You can move images from one Project to another Project; also you can copy an image from one Project to another Project. You can make all kinds of Albums for all kinds of reasons at very low overhead; Albums are a powerful concept.
I like the tutorial CD Apple Pro Training Series: Aperture 2 (Apple Pro Training Series) by Ben Long, Richard Harrington, and Orlando Luna (Paperback - May 8, 2008), Amazon.com. Note that the value is in the tutorial, not in using the book as a manual. The time spent learning modern digital image capture workflow via the tutorial is invaluable.

  • HT4910 how do you remove pics from my ipad that are not in camera roll?

I have a couple thousand pics on my ipad that I put on from my laptop a long time ago. they are not on the camera roll. I can delete those but can't figure out haw to remove the rest. I updated I tunes and can't find were it shows the files on my device. can anyone help?

If you want to remove all of your synced photos .....
Connect your iPad to your computer and launch iTunes.
Select your iPad under the devices tab in the upper right or in the left sidebar, if you have the sidebar enabled.
Click on Photos at the top of the iTunes window on the right.
Uncheck the "Sync Photos From" heading
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
IF that doesn't work, create an empty folder on your desktop and call it "Empty Folder". Select that folder in the "Sync Photos From" heading in the photos tab of iTunes and then click on Apply. That will also remove all synced photos.

  • Want to remove pics from iBook and move to external HD, and have Lightroom 1.2 map to the external h

In an effort to keep my hard drive on my iBook G4 from filling up I plan to use the external hard dive for my pictures, and store them all on the external hard drive right from step 1 (upload from camera) to final version. The issue right now is that i have about 9k pics on my hard drive that I need to move over and have Light room map to the new location. I am also contemplating changing them all to DNG.
    regards
    AN

Just a word of caution when moving your image files from your iBook to your external drive. I have experienced database corruption when doing this at the folder level. I have a bug filed with Adobe regarding the problem. When it occurs it is pretty dire if you don't have a current backup of your database (i.e. Catalog) file. In my experience, the corruption can not be fixed by any method other than moving the image files back to their original location and replacing the database file from a backup.
The work around that I found worked fine was to manually create the folders on the new drive (from within Lightroom) to match the hierarchy (or a new hierarchy if you so desire) on the internal drive. Then for each folder on the internal drive select all the images and drag them to the new location. This is more time consuming but better than recovering from a backup.
Regardless of how you do it I would strongly recommend making a backup of your database file before you move the image files. Once you are done (if you do the move at the folder level) go into one of the folders at the new location and let the images render (either thumbnails or using loop mode). The corruption does not show up until the previews re-render. If there is a problem you'll see garish colors that you can't fix in the Develop Module. Note this bug only shows up when you are move images between volumes (different disks). If you move within the same volume it seems to work fine.
Hope that saves you some grief.

  • Remove pics from trash in iphoto

Hi i have moved all my pics and albums to an external hard drive to free up some space, but they still remain(over 8000) in the trash in iphoto, not in the trash on applications, how can iremove these as it is still taking time when i click on iphoto to load up, which was the whole point to begin with.

What version of iPhoto and system are you running?
Have you tried to empty the iPhoto Trash bin?
Note:  iPhoto is known for crashing when trying to delete large numbers of photos at one time.  But give it a try.
i have moved all my pics and albums to an external hard drive to free up some space,
    How did you do this?
Have you considered moving your iPhoto library to the EHD and running it from there? That way you could keep all of your photos in the library.

  • Remove buddy from group

    Hi,
I've got iChat 3.1.9 and have an issue where my buddies are showing up in multiple groups. So they are showing up in my Family group as well as my Buddies group and I can't figure out how to remove them from one of the groups without removing them from iChat entirely. Is there an easy way to fix this? Maybe a setting in Address Book or something I'm missing? Thanks so much.
    -NifflerX

    Hi,
Drag them from the group they appear in to the Group you want them to be in (even if already there)
You probably used a Modifier key (Shift or the Apple Key) to Move + duplicate the Buddy in different groups before.

  • Removal of pics from 3gs. can transfer to pc, but cant get the pics off of phone.

I correctly used the phone as an exterior drive and got the pics to go to pc. But the pics wont remove from the phone. Then I mistakenly sync all the pics from pc to phone. What is the correct way to get pics off of phone without having to delete each individual pic. I now have 1200 pics on phone.

if it's music then drm is not used there any more and drm can be removed from previously bought drm material without cost

Unable to update software or upload pics from SD card-how do I remove files from startup disk? Please help!

    Hello Smile_333
The article below will assist with finding things and help increase the hard drive space for your computer. The best way is to have an external hard drive to copy things to if you do not want to delete and loose things.

  • Moving pics location and removing images from iphoto

    Here is the basic breakdown.
    1. Imported pics from camera into iphoto.
    2. I want to remove some of the pics from iphoto.
    3. I do not want to use delete due to I want to burn/move a copy to CD or a different folder on my HD.
    4. I moved a couple for test purposes from my iphoto lib to my home folder.
    5. Reboot.
    6. In iphoto I can still see the photos in the smaller views. but when I try to full screen the photo I get an grey screen ?x type of thing.
I do not want the small pic either.
    Advice or direction?
    Thanks.
    T

    T Slap:
To add to Terence's suggestions I'd like to expand on:
    3. I do not want to use delete due to I want to burn/move a copy to CD or a different folder on my HD.
To copy those photos to another folder use the File->Export->File Export menu option. This will copy the files to the location of your choice.
To burn the photos to disk so that iPhoto can access them at a later date then use the method described by Terence. To burn just the jpg files to a disk without the iPhoto format use the Export route again to a folder on the desktop and then burn that folder via the Finder.
And do not take the warning about messing with files via the Finder lightly. As you found out it can really mess up the library.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

  • HT4236 how can i remove pics in my iphone labeled "from my Computer"?

My iphone is pretty full; i noticed that i have an abundance of pics from my PC that uploaded to my iphone.  i have tried different ways to remove these photos but no luck

You have to sync them off using iTunes.  Connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and uncheck the photos you no longer want on your phone (or uncheck Sync Photos to remove them all).  Then click Apply at the bottom to sync your phone.

  • How to remove objects from pics using LR...

I am not a professional photographer and I do not have a whole lot of photo editing knowledge. I started out several years ago using Photoshop elements 5 and eventually learned how to do several things like moving objects around or removing them from a photo, or moving someone's face into a different picture if their eyes were closed and lots of nice editing features. I loved it and still love it. My laptop was getting really old and slow so I just recently purchased a new computer which has windows 8 on it. I loaded my photoshop elements and cannot get it to open or work properly and am wondering if it's because of the windows 8 operating system. So I then decided to purchase a new photo editing software. I decided (quickly.. too quickly) to purchase adobe lightroom just because it had very good reviews online. Now I have several pictures that need to be edited for Christmas and I cannot find any "lasso tool" or any thing similar right now.. I was so used to using the layers and features from the PE and now my heart is broken because I feel so lost and maybe broke at the same time!! This program is soooo different than what I was used to using but I don't even know if I can do the same things with it. EXAMPLE: there is an air conditioner unit in one of the photos I've taken and I was planning on removing it from the picture. Also I was aiming on moving a face over from another picture because of some closed eyes.. Someone please tell me, is this program capable of doing these things or can I only play with the lighting in this? Will I have to spend more of my $$ to get another Photoshop elements to get the features I use?

These tasks are tasks for Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, not for Lightroom, which is more an image data base.

  • Iphoto removes my pics when i remove them from my iphone.  how do i keep on iphoto

I am trying to free up space on my iphone by removing pictures that are already on my computer on iphoto. When I remove a picture, it removes it from iphoto too; but I want to keep it there

In iPhoto on your computer, add the photos in the iCloud section to the Events, Faces, Places section before you delete them. In the future you can make that happen automatically for new photos by going to iPhotos > Preferences > iCloud and setting Automatic Import to on.

  • How do I remove pictures from my iPhone that can't be deleted?

How do I remove pictures from my iPhone that can't be deleted?

    What pics?
    This is very vague.
If you mean pics that you synced to your iphone form your computer, then delete them the same way. Open itunes, connect iphone, select what you want to be on your iphone, sync.
