Remove Post

Let me preface this post by saying it has nothing to do with iTunes for Windows. I don't see a general discussion forum so I'm posting where I thought I might have high visibility.
I've been trying to clean out where my name appears on a Google search of my name and I can't seem to figure out how to delete an Apple Discussion post. Reason being, my name used to be revealed instead of my nickname. Any idea how to delete a post or change the name associated with the post?

Hi Jkads!
You cannot delete your Other Account, nor can you edit or delete the 52 posts, that are still viewable in  Discussions.
Only a Discussions Host could accomplish that task.
By posting here, a Host "may" respond, but I doubt the request will be granted.

Removing posting access from txn codes (FBV2, FBV3 and MIR4)

Hello all,
There is a business requirement to remove the ability to post
Financial documents from a particular FI role. We are using a
job role (for the most part, one SAP role per user) approach.
For the transaction codes FBV2, FBV3 and MIR4, they would like to
remove the ability to post. The relevant auth. object for
posting is object F_BKPF_BUK, Vendor: Account Authorization. In
this role, the ability to post (which is actually activity 01,
create), has been removed; however, the role still has the
ability to post the documents.
I executed an auth. trace for each transaction code and the only
activities outside of 03 or 77 (pre-enter) are checked in this
object. I also verified that none of the other roles assigned to
the test ID (a FI reporting and display role) have this
authorization object with 01 in the activity field.
As a sanity check, if anyone has removed posting access from
specific FICO roles, please confirm that this authorization
object is the correct one. I believe I've done the standard
security 'debugging' steps and now I am stuck.
Also, other transactions with posting access FV60 and FBV6 are
restriction from posting by removing activity 01 from objects
F_BKPF_BLA and F_BKPF_KOA.

Hi, the authorizations were correct in the first place - ths issue is that they didn't test it fully because the post button was still visible. However, when I tested it via the instructions given by FICO, when I selected the post button, security prevented me from doing so and authorization object F_BKPF_BUK for activity 01 was checked.
Next time, I will make sure the testers are testing properly.

Removing posts that have not been responded to

hi all.
i love the forums and am excited about the new redesign.
another great example of why switching back to mac is working nicely for me.
can i please ask if it is possible to multiple remove or otherwise conveniently remove posts that have not been responded to (0 responses)?
i have a ton of these and I want to minimize the clicks and the time this will take to remove them.

OK. But I'd like to get these off the unanswered posts section so they don't show up. It is sort of inconvenient.
Is there a quickest way to do this?

Creator cannot edit or remove posts in group chat ...

I am the creator of a very active group chat on Skype. When I upgraded to 6.3.0.582, I lost my ability to edit or remove other users' posts. The options are simply gone.
When I rolled back to an earlier version of Skype for Mac (6.0.0.2946), the edit and remove options return. I am also still able to edit and remove posts in Windows (6.1.0.129), so this seems to be a bug unique to Skype 6.3.0.582 for Mac, and not a problem with the group settings.

I was specifically looking for a way to chat with a group of people AND eliminate the possibility of bad posts and pirates etc. I wanted 1. to be able to remove a person from the chat, and 2. to be able to delete or remove a post if needed from the chat.
In my opinion, these two functions are necessary to run a group smoothly. Otherwise, it is too risky! So now where do we go? FB....we closed down our chat for this very reason. To have more control over the chat. We came to Skype. But alas, they are not any more helpful. Maybe it is because the government wants to spy on us. So we can't go back and destroy evidence! That is the ONLY reason that would make this decison by Skype make sense. Otherwise it makes absolutely NO SENSE at all, especially if they once had both of these features and not took them away!!!
But that leaves us without the functions we need. : (

Remove Posting Period with transaction

Hello everybody,
How I can remove Posting Period that already have transaction
If i create posting period and choose wrong sub period (example,choose year but correct is month)
and post some transaction into period
if i reverse all transaction in wrong period
Can i remove posting period and create new postiong period with correct condition.

Hi,
In the posting period window u can find 2 drop downs. Active and Locked. Try them to make the period inactive.

How do you remove a post that you don't need answer to aymore?

You can't remove a post. You could just reply to it to say you've answered it yourself, so that no-one else wastes time answering it, and then ignore it. It will soon slide out of sight.

Marking removed posts as "answered"

I don't know where else to ask this, so it's going here.
I created a post asking about a problem I was having in Azureus. Consequently a moderator deemed this as being an inappropriate post and moved it to the "Removed by hosts Forum" which I do not have rights to access. As a result, the post is sitting in my "My Questions" page and I cannot mark it as answered in order to remove it. Can someone please help me figure out how to get rid of this post in my "My Questions" section? Thanks.

Wait what? As far as it seems, any questions I haven't marked as answered stay in the main "My Questions" list. All answered questions get moved to the "answered questions" list. You're saying that over time these just disappear? That's not very convenient. I was counting on them staying there for future reference. It has been very handy so far.

Why remove posts?

I've had my post regarding usage monitoring removed. I'll try again, why can't this be up to the minute?, currently I'm advised of usage levels from two days ago. How do I prevent an accidental slip over my limit?

Remove poster icons from final cut pro v7 track objects

Hi Gang,
Please see my attached pic first to help understand the issue.
I don't need "poster" icons or frames in my track objects, I was hoping to suppress them.
As you can see they obscure the area where my clip overlays are, making it harder to see / manipulate them. Easier if the track object is just a single colored rectangular object.

In FCP-7, click anywhere in your timeline. Type Command+0 {zero} to see you Sequence Settings. When the sequence settings Pane opens, click on the Timeline Options tab. Change the Thumbnail Display Drop Down Menu to "Name". Click OK.
The next time you create a sequence, this should be the default selection.

Remove Posting Period

Hi, all
Period 2011 wrongly created as year and no transaction for 2011. When I remove 2011period, system msg prompted: Cannot be removed. Transaction are linked to an object, '2011'.
I checked journal entry report again to confirm no entry was enter. Please assist. Thanks.

POSTS REMOVED IF INCONVENIENT

I understand that BT has the right to remove posts that they are unhappy about but in less than a hour must be a record. I placed a post about not being able to rely on the automated telephone answering messages at around 7:45 this morning it is now not there!!

Removal of well-intended Posts

One of my posts got removed by the host two days ago without any information as to why that happened.
I asked Apple for an official statement on the problems many users encounter with Firmware 1.2 and suggested that the approach may be improved, especially if seen from not only customers but other stakeholders (e.g. analaysts, journalists.
While certainly provocative, it was constructive and well intended and should not be anwered with authority and ignorance.
I could as well have kept silent or, worse, spread my frustration through forums outside of Apple's control, which is not my style.
The least I would expect from a respected company like Apple is recognition and a short response.
Has anybody suggestions how to use the forums to escalate the urgent need for a response without being sanctioned ?

These discussions are a user support forum and you will never see an official response from Apple on them. They do moderate these discussions and remove posts and topics that do not conform to the Terms of Use. The poster will never receive a reason why - the post will simply disappear.
One reason a post can be removed is if it is not of a technical support nature and a call for an official response does not ask a technical question. That is the likely reason it was removed.
If you want to have your voice heard by Apple, the discussions are not the place. You may contact them by phone, but a letter to customer relations is more likely to be responded to.

My posts were removed

Hello Admin,
I have been participating in the Java Essentials category since September 2010. From the past couple of weeks, most of posts were disappeared or removed, even though that was marked as "Correct" or "Helpful" by the OP. I have lost around 45 to 50 points by this informal removal. I am totally disappointed with this. I have a couple questions which are as below,
1. Is there any specific reason for this removal?
2. Should this forum be answerable only by specific persons?
The answers will help to get some clear idea about this OTN forum.

It's a newbie forum! I'd be totally with Ram on this one, I think it is perfectly appropriate to answer such a question with a pointer to docs, and after some discussion, even demo code. Spoon-feeding would be initially giving code without any discussion or pointers. A better answer might have been to point out the actual error, but there can often be better answers.The moderators remit is to deal with spam and help out with duplicate posts etc. It shouldn't involve removing posts just because someone has spoon-fed an answer to the OP. We know spoon-feeding is wrong and unhelpful in teaching the OP, but it doesn't warrant the post being removed.
All removals are judgment calls, that's why clear guidelines are necessary. To me it is painfully predictable that moderators are as herdable as programmers, so something like a moderator faq is necessary.
Indeed, and the moderators have been clearly told by the admin to only delete spam (or duplicate postings where appropriate i.e. nobody has yet replied to them). Other "issues" should be raised up to admin to look at and decide.

Remove forum posts

Hi, i posted up several queries about a web site i was
designing - which is now complete, but when i search for the site,
using hte company name, the 3rd, 4th , 5th etc etc items listed are
regarding my queries - which does not look to good when a potencial
client is searching likei did - is there any way to remove

Main Bank Account - Post Automatic Tick
