Remove Quick Delete button in Outlook 2013?

I've asked this
here, but how do I remove the Quick Delete button in the Outlook view, but retain the Flag Status column?
They seem to share the same column.
Thanks.

I can't comment on touch but with a mouse the only option this leaves us is to turn off the flag status column and forces every one who uses flags to right click or remember key commands.
If there is always a delete X on the far right, I can live with that...
What's really a problem is that if you alter the view setting > column order and try to move flag status anywhere else that isn't 5 pixels away from the delete X  it  always stays on the far right and it ignores the column settings
that seems like a bug to me.
I mean being able to customize for ones needs/taste is one the many things that makes outlook awesome, why take that away?
not to mention this one should be pretty obvious as risky.
i.e. oh this message is important, let me flag it and get back to it, oh crap i deleted it, arrg i'm using imap email like gmail on my non work profile, hitting ctrl + z doesn't really undo a delete ...sure you can manually find in the trash, but I wouldn't
label that as a "awesome/helpful UI experience" more like, terrifying you for a few seconds UI. Even worse, if you are in hurry, you might not notice you've deleted it.

  • HELP! How do I Remove Quick Delete button in Outlook 2013? Or a workaround?!

The Quick Delete button is very often accidentally touched when flagging or using the slider, especially on a jumpy laptop mouse pad and then deletes the message
mistakenly and can be deleted if there is a deletion schedule for the trash.  Not only that... but there is NO CONFIRMATION of deletion?! Extremely poor design.
At least make it possible to move the quick delete away from the slider bar or the flag?

    Hi,
Apologize for any inconvenience caused. This feature is hard-coded and there is no way to remove it. However, we can enable Touch Mode to work around this issue. Click the Customize Quick Access ToolBar down arrow, click to enable Touch/Mouse Mode option.
Then, click the Touch/Mouse Mode button from the QAT and change it to Touch Mode.

  • Is there a quick delete button that can be added next to emails?

When reading through emails in Thunderbird there are some emails that I know I don't want to read and would rather quickly delete them without having to click on the email itself.
What I am looking for is a quick delete button similar to the 'star' button that can be added as a column. I would like a button that sits next to message titles in the email pane that allows me to quickly delete messages.
Microsoft Outlook (windows mail) has something like this on all messages and I would like if that functionality would be replicated in Thunderbird.

Are you saying that features and design of other software should not be adopted by Mozilla software? I think the past few years of Mozilla software would highly disagree.

I want to remove the delete button frmo MFBF screen.

  • How to hide/remove the 'Delete' button for a particular role

We have a role that can only Create and Edit the Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, & Leads. So I modified the Default and Owner Access Profiles for that role and changed the Access Level to 'Read/Edit' for each of the above mentioned Record Types.
When the user is logged with this role they can see the 'Delete' button on all the Record Types. When they click on the 'Delete' button they get the 'Access Denied' message. Thats fine, but how do you hide/remove the 'Delete' button for this role so they don't try to click it.

At this time it is not possible to hide/remove the "Delete" button. This functionality is on the roadmap.

Based on this situaiton, please go to Control Panel -> mail -> Show Profiles > Add.. a new profile to re-setup your account as you like. Then set it as "Always use this profile". Once we have another profile exist in
the box, we can delete the default one (named Outlook) at any time.

  • ICloud update 3.0.1 40 has removed my sync buttons in Outlook 2007. I run it as admin but the add in is "unloaded" and will not install :-(

I am about to get a nervous break down from this. FINALLY I got my 2 iP5 and my 2 Win7/Outlook 2007 PC's to work and sync together. This latest update did remove that add in and it's impossible to install / load it. Tried as an admin but of course no result. I hate this so much that I am glad I don't meet any of you Microsoft or Apple guys who produce this updates. WHY NOT DO A BETTER JOB?

I have now got my "buttons" back ("Refresh iCloud" & "Notifications"), but in spite of that my shared calendar does not sync the events I insert in my PC Outlook 2007 to my other 3 devices.
Events between my 2 iPhones (iP5/OS 7.0.4) work fine, even with my other Win7 PC.
All was fine until I updated my iCloud a week ago... :-(
I have now - as an admin in Outlook - under Tools/Trust Center/Add ins activated the iCloud Add-in, so it is not any longer Deactivated (?)
Under Help / Outlook 2007 - under Disabled Items the add-in is now removed. It was there even after it had been removed from the Trust Centers Disabled Items..
This is honestly the most stupid way of using nice time (thank god it's raining today and my golf was cancelled.. )

  • Go Back and Go Forward buttons in Outlook 2013

I must be missing something obvious, but I can't find how to add Go Back and Go Forward buttons to the Outlook home screen, preferably in the Quick Access toolbar.  They don't appear in my Customize menu.

    Hi,
Do you mean the Undo and Redo button on the Quick Access Toolbar?
Please open your Outlook, and go to File > Options > Quick Access Toolbar > select
Commands Not in the Ribbon form the Choose commands from drop-down list. Can you see the
Redo and Undo commands from the list? If so, highlight them and click
Add button to add the commands to the Quick Access Toolbar.
If I've misunderstood something, please feel free to let me know.

  • Remove "Mark All as Read" button with Group Policy from Outlook 2013

Under the Folder tab in Outlook 2013, there is a "Mark All as Read" icon. How can I permanently delete this icon? I remember doing so with Outlook 2003 / 2007 through a Group Policy setting. Not sure how to take care of that with Outlook 2013...I
think I need an ID code? I've tried right-clicking the icon and choosing Customize the Ribbon, but you can't remove the "Mark All as Read" as a single icon, you have to get rid of the entire Folder tab. Thanks!

    Hi,
Yes, we can disable the “Mark All as Read” button in Outlook 2013 by using control IDs. Please follow the steps below to achieve the goal:
    1. Press Windows key + R, type gpedit.msc in the
    Run command and press Enter.
    2. In the Group Policy Management Editor navigation pane, locate
    User Configuration >
Administrative Templates > Microsoft Outlook 2013 > Disable Items in User Interface > Custom
    3. In thedetails pane, double click to open
Disable command bar buttons and menu items.
    4.
    Choose Enabled, and then choose
    Show.
    5. In the Show Contents dialog box, under
Value, enter the control ID for the command that you want to disable. The control ID to disable
“Mark All as Read” button is 1906.
    6. When you have finished entering control IDs, choose
OK, and then choose OK again to exit the
    Disable commands dialog box.
For more information about control IDs, please refer:

  • How do you remove the very badly-placed 'delete message' icon from the Message List pane in Outlook 2013?

One of the worst bits of Usability Design I've come across in a very long time is the 'x' delete message icon in Outlook 2013, which deletes an email message with one click (no confirmation).
It's placed conveniently next to the right-hand scrollbar, and on Numerous occasions when using the scrollbar, you drift a few mm to the left and *accidentally* delete email messages at random.   I'm pretty sure many people will have
unwittingly been doing this, but not noticed.
Question is : How do you switch off this feature?  It's not listed in the 'view' as a column you can configure.
    Thanks (in advance).

    Hi,
As far as I know, the delete button is hard-coded and we cannot hide it through built-in function.
I have received some reports that some users complain that the Quick Delete button is often touched and delete the message mistaken whatever in PC or Surface device.
There is no official update for this so far. Hope it can be improved in next service pack release.

  • Outlook 2013 - where is this button?

    Hi everybody,
I am asking this question as a user, so please feel free to move to another Outlook forum, but not to Off-topic, please.
In Outlook 2010 there is a button to close all open messages. I can not find the same button in Outlook 2013, so I am wondering if such button exists and if yes, how can I get it to the Toolbar. I usually open lots of emails to read and then I want to close
all these extra windows leaving only the main Outlook window opened.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
the feature exists in OL2007, OL2010 and OL2013.
In OL2007, you will find it on the menu: Click; File, Close all items
In OL2010 & OL2013, you will find it on the ribbon: Click View, Close all items
In OL2010 & OL2013, you can right-click this button, and choose: Add to Quick Access Toolbar

    Hi,
I have created Ztable and did table maintainance generator. When i used SM30 i am able to add the entries and delete entries.
But, my requirement is delete button should not be there. User dont want that option.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
While you create a table maintainance generator you must have a provided a function group in the screen.  Go to SE80 and provide the function group there.
In the screens go to the screen of this page.  Remove the delete button from there.

  • Deleting/removing delete button from photos

    Hi All,
Just wondering if its possible to but a block or remove the delete button in photos?
My 2.5yr old loves to look at the photos and today deleted a new video (that i had yet to sync and now understand that it is lost permenantly!!). So was wondering if you can disable the delete button on the phone?
    Thanks!!

No, that's not possible. But you can try to transfer the photos and videos to your computer and sync them back again using iTunes. After that your daughter can only view them in "albums" instead inside the camera roll, and would not have the chance to delete them, because there is no delete button inside "albums".

THEY REFER TO EMAILS THAT I HAVE SENT AND ARE NOT SPAM NOR HAVE THE ADDRESSEES RECEIVED THEM.

It is quite easy to set up WLM and just try it and see if there is any improvement. You needn't delete anything from Outlook 2013.
