Remove Services Tray from portal Navigation

Hello, I cannot find how this "Services Tray" is turned off in the portal, anybody here knows how to remove this tray? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!

Those links are configured using a concept called dynamic navigation.
You can read more about dynamic navigation here
Locate the above page/iview in PCD and open the "Dynamic Navigation" properties as shown in the screenshot below. From there you can choose to hide/remove that link.
Have a look at this blog which explains dynamic navigation in MSS, but the concept should be similar for SRM business package as well.
Thanks,

  • Any way to remove Security Zone from portal?

    Hi,
    is it possible to somehow remove a Security Zone from portal? I know that security zones can be configured (craeated) by portal application developers in portalapp.xml file. However, when I undeploy such an application, I can still see it's security zone in "Permissions" editor. Is there any way to remove these unused security zones? I use EP 7.0.17.
    Regards,
    Tomas

    Hi Michael,
    thank you, it seems that PCD Inspector is the right place. There is just one small problem: I located the unused security zone, marked it and clicked "Delete" button. I got following message:
    "To use this function of the PCD Inspector, enter the 'super admin' permission key in the personalization dialog, which you can open by clicking the Personalize option in the main tray"
    Problem is that I don't know what is the "'super admin' permission key" or where to find it. I can't find anything on this topic. Can anybody help me with this?

  • Remove SAP Branding from Portal Logon 7.1

    Hi,
    does anybody know how to remove the SAP Branding image from the logon page in 7.1? Unfortunatly we are not able to export / import the logonpage from the portal (around 40 errors if we try to build the original(! just export and import) logonpage in the NDS).
    In the help I just found how to replace the two other pictures of the login page....
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    I think he is just trying to change the branding image on the logon on screen, this doesn't need any par file customisation or some thing else.
    You need to just make the image you want to place as your branding image of the same size of the exsisting one.
    Go to usr/sap/sid/instance/j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\layout
    Here Just rename the exsisting branding-image.jpg file to some new one and place the new jpg file you want to place and rename it as branding-image.jpg. This would do.

  • How do I remove paper tray from my DeskJet 970CSE

    Help? I am shipping my DeskJet 970CSE. I t will be easier if I can remove the paper tray assembly. Is this possible? Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mellow

    The tray is not removable, you would damage the printer.
    That said, there are some additional things you should do before shipping the unit.  If it has had much use the spittoon may have lots of thickened ink that can ooze out if the printer is tipped, creating a mess.  You may be able to clean this out before shipping as follows: turn on the printer and open the lid, allowing the cartridges to move to the center.  Now remove the cartridges and set than aside, on their side with the nozzles not touching anything. You will want to complete the following in a half hour or so to avoid drying out the cartridges.  Unplug the printer and manually move the carriage to the left to get it out of the way.  Note the clear plastic strip that runs the width of the printer behind the carriage.  This strip is fragile and can be damaged, be careful not to touch this.  Now you can use a flashlight to see into the service station area on the right where the cartridges park when not printing.  You can carefully clean out the spittoon area with a plastic spoon to remove the solid ink.  Be careful with this, do not drop it on your desktop, clothing or carpeting.  Next get a crumpled paper towel and put it in the service station area to soak up any liquid ink.  Let it sit for a few minutes, then remove the paper towel and discard it (again, be careful).  Repeat a few times until you have sopped up the majority of the liquid ink.  Be  careful not to get any ink on the plastic encoder strip.   Now put the cartridges back in the printer, close the latch and close the lid.  Now plug the printer back in and turn it on to allow the printer to realign.
    To ship the printer turn the printer off and give it a minute to properly park the cartridges before removing the power.  You will want to package the printer in a way that it will not be turned upside down if possible, be sire to put a "This side up" arrow on he package.

  • Removing hidden directories from Project Navigator

    Hi everyone,
    I've searched the forums and even googled it... but couldn't
    find any answers. I'm using subversion and it creates hidden file
    directories for my project, but when I use FlexBuilder, I see these
    directories in the Project Navigator. Is there any to hide them or
    at least delete them (without deleting the actual files)?
    Thanks,
    Beverly

    Benoit,
    Hmmm. Mirrored RAID is designed to protect against hardware failure, but I am unsure of the ramifications when a disk directory is damaged.
    Try selecting the individual drives in the array and running repair disk on them, one at a time. It might be possible to determine if the disk error affects both, or just one (I'm going to bet that it is both. In other words, the disk error is mirrored).
    If I am wrong, and only a single drive shows up with a disk error, you should be able to erase that one drive, then rebuild the array. I use RAID, but not a mirrored set, so I don't speak with certainty.
    If none of these options are available (be careful that you don't do anything to lose the entire thing), I strongly recommend making whatever backup you can, then erasing the volume. It might turn out to be a good thing that this rather harmless problem popped up to alert you to something that could be much more serious (meaning the disk error).
    If you have trouble making the backup, you might need to resort to using Disk Warrior. I don't normally recommend using third-party utilities, but this is the one case when I do. If you do end up using Disk Warrior, use it only to facilitate the backup, then erase the volume and return the data.

  • Publishing site - remove "current site" from top navigation

    SP puts a link to the current site in top nav bar in addition to the "home"page link. If you're already in the site why is there is a link to it????
    Is the only option to remove the home link so the (stupid) site link takes its place?

    Hi,
    I presume that you are using SharePoint 2010 and Publishing site, if you want hide the Home Page Link, then you can hide the link using SharePoint designer 2010.
    here are the tags need to made visible = false like the below line, another best practice to use Panel control to group all of the tags within the panel and make the panel visibility as false.
     <asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="PlaceHolderSiteName" runat="server" Visible="false" >
    <SharePoint:SPLinkButton runat="server" NavigateUrl="~site/" id="onetidProjectPropertyTitleGraphic">
    <SharePoint:SiteLogoImage name="onetidHeadbnnr0" id="onetidHeadbnnr2" LogoImageUrl="/_layouts/images/siteIcon.png" runat="server"/>
    </SharePoint:SPLinkButton>
    <asp:ContentPlaceHolder id="PlaceHolderSiteName" runat="server">
    <SharePoint:SPLinkButton runat="server" NavigateUrl="~site/" id="onetidProjectPropertyTitle"><SharePoint:ProjectProperty Property="Title" runat="server" /></SharePoint:SPLinkButton>
    </asp:ContentPlaceHolder>
    you can use the same method for Team sites also, tags would be different though.
    Edit: SPLinkButton  would be the control you should make visible as false.
    If you could upload the image of your page, it would be better to understand.

  • Access to Entity Service from Portal Application

    Hi Experts,
    I have a hybrid application which will be making use of both Web Dynpro and Portal Applications. I decided to use Entity Services to store my back-end data and can access it fine from the Web Dynpro project. I have included the public part of my CAF project into the Used DCs of my Portal project and while I am able to call the methods of the Entity Service at compile time, at runtime I receive an error message on the page:
    An exception occurred while processing a request
    I know in order to get this to work for Web Dynpro I had to include sap.com/tccolapi.sap.com/cafruntimeuicouplingapilib as a Library Reference and a few Used DCs, but while I have added the Used DCs to the Portal project, I am unsure of how to add the Library Reference. I assume this has to be added to portalapp.xml, but I don't know the syntax.
    Could somehow please reply with how to do this and whether this is all that is required in order to call Entity Service methods from Portal applications?
    Thanks,
    JP

    Hi Smith,
    Write click on the Project then goto the Properties=>Webdynpro References=>Library references
    add
    caf/eu/gp/api
    sap.com/cafruntimeuicouplingapilib
    And add the following DC in your project.
    1> External in caf/eu/gp/api (CAF domain)
    2> caf/eu/gp/api/wd (CAF domain)
    3> com.sap.security.api.sda (SAP-JEE)
    portalapp.xml
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <application>
    <application-config>
    <property name="SharingReference" value="usermanagement, knowledgemanagement, landscape, htmlb, exportalJCOclient, exportal, SAPJ2EE::library:cafeugp~api"/>

  • Replace an iView dynamically by another one by portal navigating service

    Hi all,
    A portal page to integrate several kinds of contents is in general the best way.
    But how can you handle dynamic replacement of an iView of a page (the page contains more than one iView) by another one by using the Portal navigation service of the WebDynpro Runtime? If I navigate to the target application with mode WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE, the content of the page at all is replaced by the target iView. Is there a possibility to access/replace only the desired iView of the page?
    Thanks.
    Cemal

    Hi Laurent,
    this is no possible with WebDynpro except the IFRAME - UI - Element of the webdynpro. But the iframe ui-element is declared as deprecated for future releases.
    The solution is a portal component with an embedded html-iframe. The src - attribute of this iframe can be filled dynamically by the portal eventing.
    You create a dynpage as a event receiver. This fills the src-attribute of the html-iframe by the event param dataObject.
    The code below can help you:
    Create output. Called once per request.
              public void doProcessBeforeOutput() throws PageException {
                   Form myForm = this.getForm(); // get the form from DynPage
                   IPortalComponentRequest request = (IPortalComponentRequest)this.getPageContext().getRequest();
                   String Output =
                        "<iframe id='LauncheriFrame' src='' width='100%' height='100%' margin='0' padding='0' frameBorder='0'></iframe>"
                             + "<script>"
                             + "function <eventhandler>(eventObj){"
                             +"document.getElementById('LauncheriFrame').src = eventObj.dataObject;"
                             + "}"
                             + "EPCM.subscribeEvent('<namespace>', '<Eventname>', <eventhandler>);</script>";
                   this.getPageContext().write(Output);
    I hope that helps you.

  • How to remove a photo from a LRPublishedCollection without affecting the Publish Service?

    Hello guys!
    I would like to know if there is a way to remove a photo from a LRPublishedCollection without affecting the Publish Service. Basically I would like it to be removed from the collection but I don't want to be added to "Deleted Photos to Remove".
    Thanks a lot!
    Jordy.

    I don't know how to keep it from being put on the "Deleted Photos to Remove" list at least briefly, but if you do this, it'll amount to the same thing:
    * save status for all photos in collection
    * set status of all photos to "do not publish"
    * remove photo from collection.
    * publish the collection, and make sure you call the deleted callback, but don't do anything else.
    * restore previous photo statuses.
    Only works in Lr4+.
