Remove Shared Library From Apple TV 'Take 2'

I have recently reinstalled my iMac and now I have two entries in my Apple TV's shared menus, one available and one greyed out. How do I delete the old greyed out library?

I can't remember how i did this as it wasn't obvious, but I think I tried selecting the greyed out option and there was an option to remove it.

Hi guys,
I have an apple tv that syncs with my iMac and I also stream content from my macbook pro.
Recently I reloaded my macbook pro with a fresh install of leopard, since then in the apple TV i still see the link to connect to the old library (bryan websters library) and to stream again I have had to setup a new library (also called bryan websters library) How do I get rid of the information regarding this old library as it is confusing having 2 the same. I have tried selecting it and choosing disconnect but this doesnt seem to get rid of it.
any help?

Ok this is worse now, because both Librarys were called Bryan Webster's Library the apple tv did not seem to connect.
So I have renamed my Library in iTunes to MacBook Pro library and it connects fine now. But now I have 2 redundant bryan webster's librarys now. and i just realised that you can only have a total of 5 streamed librarys and I am now using 3 for one machine.
Anyone got an idea on how to get rid of these old connections?

Removing Shared Library from another music source

My cousin got into my i-tunes and some how imported her Lime Wire account into my i-tunes and it pops up as shared. I want it gone....COMPLETELY!!! I don't know how to do this. Please help!

You could try turning off the library sharing option. To do this in iTunes go to the top line Edit>Preferences>Sharing Tab then uncheck any checked boxes.

This question really could be in several forums due to includeing Apple TV, Apple Remote App, iPad, iTunes and so on, but I think this is the best site, sorry if wrong!
Here's the problem: I am using Apple's Remote App on my iPad to control the Apple TV. Works great!
But, I mistakenly also added my computer's iTunes Library (via a 4 digit pin, not Home Sharing) to the devices the Remote App can manage.
How do I remove the Library from the Remote devices??

BTW: I think Apple has to clean up some of their evolutionary kruft. AirPlay vs Home Sharing. ATV direct use of Library. iCloud and iTunes match. It takes a lot of thought figuring out how to use Apple's media ecology. I realize its all historic but I bet there are a LOT of confused folks out there.
Just for the record: I decided to use Match .. only $25 or so a year and my phone, pod, pad, tv etc all have access to my complete digital collection. I also love AirPlay. I've started avoiding Home Shairing like the plague! As far as I can tell, it mainly is still around due to the Media Industry placing restrictions on Apple.

HT5922 Volume control Itunes Shared Library from Macbook air played through iPad

Hi everyone,
I am using iPad Air to airplay through use of iTunes shared library from Macbook, to Play to my Apple TV using the Remote App from apple on the iPad.
I noticed that the swipe up control screen volume control does not affect the volume on my speakers of the Denon which is perfectly connected with apple tv. The only thing which controls the volume is the Denon volume control.
The iTunes volume control on the Macbook also do not work with Apple TV when airplaying
I assume this is because of the Denon Reciever, but would like to hear if others who are connecting directly without a multimedia amplifier and speakers are also unable to raise volume using itunes control or not?

How to copy media from shared library from ipad

Hello,
I have home sharing turned on and i have a local computer as a media server which stores all my media files. I can access the data from within my network on all my devices.
I am hoping there is an easy, with just using the ipad(iphone), to choose a movie from the library to take with me on a trip. It is easy to copy media from computer to computer with itunes. I was hoping there is an equally easy way from the ipad or iphone.
For example, launching the video app allows you to access shared libraries. Is there a way to copy that content to the ipad or iphone from an app?
FYI, i have all pc based computers

I updated itunes to version 10.2.1. After the update, my mac (mini 09
snow) does not resume from standby when I try to query the library from
apple tv .. I am forced to wake it up manually and do a restart of itunes ...
Can anyone tell me a solution? with version 10.2 does not happen.. i also aupdate the Apple TV with last ios revision (4.2).
I also updated the Apple TV to the latest version of IOS, the 4.2. Now I do not know if the problem is the IOS or iTunes.

If that's the aim, there are simpler ways to fix it. Indeed, on my system, two of the three files mentioned in that article had not been properly updated, but I ran the tool at http://code.kliu.org/.etc/7601usbfix/ to update the files and then manually checked them again to ensure they were now the correct versions. This did not solve the freezing issue.
So if that's all that reinstalling SP1 is meant to achieve, I've already done that to no effect.

On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on your iPhone then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

One of the main reasons this occurs is because Netflix uses a feature called adaptive quality and iTunes uses a fixed quality. Netflix is able to reduce its quality to such an extent when it detects that you have a poor Internet connection that the data rate of the movie is as low as 0.5 Mb per second, on the other hand if you have chosen to view an HD movie from iTunes U have chosen a movie with a data rate as high as 5 Mb per second.

Yes. Not because of the phone, but because Verizon will only activate iPhones sold specifically for use on Verizon's network. You can buy the phone from Apple or from Verizon, but you must buy a Verizon-designated phone. And if you buy it from Apple there's no need to visit Verizon, as Apple can activate it on your Verizon account.

Removing library from Apple TV

I just did a fresh install on my system, and Apple TV recognizes my iTunes library as a new one, distinct from the original that no longer exists. Since the old system is gone, I can't use iTunes to remove the Apple TV from the old library. As a result, I'm blocked from syncing my "new" library with the Apple TV.
How do I remove an old library from the Apple TV when the computer is no longer available?

Typical of Apple software: the solution is hidden in plain sight. Never thought to select the item from the list, because I assumed being greyed out meant I couldn't do that.

How can I access the Home Sharing Library from my iPad?

We have an ipad 2 with ios 7, and an imac with itunes 11.1.3
Just heard about home sharing and want to use this - surprised we haven't heard of it before
home sharing is turned on in itunes (file > home sharing).
home sharing is on for the ipad (settings > music)
They are both connected to the same wifi network (usually our computer doesnt use wifi and is wired, but we turned wifi on just for this)
When I open music in the ipad (even after continually quitting and reopening the app) there is no 'more' button in the bottom right that there is supposed to be.
What is wrong? How do I access the library from the ipad? Help please!

More does more than home sharing, so it's odd that it isn't there, even if home sharing wasn't working for some reason. Are you sure you are in the music app and not the iTunes App.

Cannot deploy a shared library from jdeveloper to oracle webcenter spaces

i used oracle jdeveloper 11.1.1.6 with extendwebcenterspaces workspace. I use WebcenterSpacesSharedLibExtension project.
I have deployed with jdeveloper directly to webcenter by using a connection and deployed as shared library.
Afther that i used DesignWebcenterSpaces and deployed with ant scripts: clean stage and deploy as shared lib
I get an error on deployment:
