Remove Tabs and Add picture in BEx analyzer

Hi All,
Our customer runs the query through BEx analyzer. when they run the query , it shows the author name (The person who created Query) and Status of data ... They don't want to see that.. they also wanted to add pictureof their company in the Report.
If i create a web template then how it will applied to query in BEx analyzer. and if i have 8 to 10 different queries then do i need to have to create 10 different web templates ?
please give your valuable inputs on this..

You can create a custom web template and make it the default template so that that template gets called for any query.
Default templates have been discussed in great detail in the forums - search the forums on the same and you will get what you want....

Is there any way to turn off the auto formatting in Pages? I just want to type a letter and add pictures and titles, and Pages keeps changing font sizes and doesn't let me "Do it my way". I HATE this!

Is there any way to turn off the auto formatting in Pages? I'm using a blank document, so I figured I could write my letter and add pictures any way I wanted to. But NO! Pages keeps changing the font size! I typed a large heading as a title, and when I try to change to a smaller font for the body of the letter, it changes the size back to the larger size! I am getting SO FRUSTRATED! I've spent over an hour trying to get the stupid program to let me just type my letter! Can anyone help?

The only one left is the "unsubmitted text" dialogue, which would not be a problem if I were not a Facebook user; after updating the "Richard is..." field (which does not require a manual submit to actually send) I get the above message. This is obviously Safari just not realising that the info has been sent and is therefore (I imagine) one for Apple themselves to answer!!

Not being a Facebook User, I'm not sure how to respond to the error situation. However, this would be something to report to Apple as a bug via the Safari Menu. First, open to the page in question, then select "Report Bugs to Apple".

Fox Tabs and Add To Top Sites is not working. All my tabs have disppeared right after upgrading. Help!

I upgraded to 11.0 and clicked to open tabs, which will take me to Fox Tabs, but I was unable to click any open. When I clicked Edit, every thing disappeared. When I clicked Done, the screen stated "Saving..." and it stayed like that for more than 5 minutes. I closed that tab and again clicked Open tabs, this time it was blank. When I right click on any page and chose Add To Top Sites nothing appears on Top Sites. I have made this my Home Page and when I click home, Fox Tabs is still blank.

Trying to change Title of my Podcast (Channel) And Add picture

I am trying to figure out how to change the name of my Podcast, Channel, not episodes. And I am at a loss! Also, how do you add a picture for your podcast? If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it!

The title of a podcast is carried in the 'title' tags in the top section of the feed (between the 'channel' tag and the first 'item' tag'.
The podcast image is carried in the 'itunes:image' tag in the same area, which should take the format:
<itunes:image href="URL OF AN IMAGE FOR THE PODCAST" />
The URL must be absolute (i.e. include http:// and the server name).
The images which appear when subscribing have to be embedded in the actual media files - see here.

I need to show on the query report value '000100' (seen in ODS) as '000100' (on BEx). But on the report I get '100'. What setting/action needs to be done for this.

Hi,
Check porperties of the corresponding infoobject. If it is a 'CHAR' type data element, it should already behave as you require.
You may also check whether any 'ALPHA' conversion routine is applied (infoobject properties, main tab). If yes, you may think about removing this.

How can we see Last Date and last quantities in Bex Analyzer ?

Hı BW Gurus,
I have a query that shows consumption quantities for a material regarding to a date interval. On initial screen i specify a material and a date interval ( 01.04.2007 - 15.04.2007 for example). Then query brings total consumptions(261 and 601 movement types) for materials. I set up the query according to stock cube.
But my client wants the last consumptions (last 601 and last 261) quantities and dates in a different columns. When we include calendar day it can be seen easily all the lines day by day. But we dont want to include calendar day. Thus for one material only one row will be exist. Report template will be like that:
On initial screen we defined april 2007 , Output:
Material         Total consump. quantity     Last Consump. Quant.   Last.Cons.Date
XYZ                         457                                 76                        18.04.2007
PS: 76 is included in 457.
How can we achieve this result?

Is the following possible to achieve by nesting authorizations?
User X has the following 2 authorization roles:
role 1 (description: FIGL)

At the moment I see

As you can see, both roles are technical 2 different objects, so they are split. Any possibility to let the queries from role 1 to appear in role 2 (merge them in the visualisation)? I already played with the "derive from role" option, but this totally replaced the menu from the receiving role...

Add own VBA Addin (.xla) to BEx Analyzer

Hi,
I created an XLA add-in, which I activated in my Office Excel. When opening Excel my add-in works fine (I can see it in my VB-Editor below BExAnalyzer.xla and it is possiblöe to use the makros.
Unfortunately this add-in is not aktivated when opening BEx Analyzer. In this case the new add-in is not listed below the BExAnalyzer.xla, whereas it is marked to be active at the office options Special / Add-ins (extras / Add-dins in german office version).

I guess it's because of the way the BExAnalyzer loads Excel - it's an OLE call or something alike. In other words Analyzer loads BEx addin alone. I see two possible workarounds.
One is to find some command line parameter for BExAnalyzer.exe to make it load the addin you want. The problem is I do not know if there are any such parameters.
The other way is to load the addin after the BExAnalyzer.xla is loaded. You can easily check this way by opening your addin manually. However, doing it programmatically becomes a problem since the only piece of VBA code loaded is BExAnalyzer.xla itself. Therefore you have to modify BExAnalyzer.xla to load the stuff you want when it's opened by BExAnalyzer.exe. But it may be (and I'm sure it is) prohibited by the license agreement and by the way you will lose this file's digital signature trying to save the modified BEx addin (don't hesitate to make the backup first).
This is the code to insert to ThisWorkbook module of BExAnalyzer.xla if you dare:

Do you know in specific. What are the advantages and disadvantages of BEx Analyzer?
and Do you know the limitations and scope of the bex analyzer?
Talking about the security issue. What kind of resticciones be applied to end-users to control information. Protecting system
resources and the information that the user uses, not be manipulated.

The standard BEx BI 3.x tools, is no longer available with the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI tools; however, it is part of the SAP BI add-on installation that, by default, will install the BW 3.x tools along with the newer BI 7.0 tools.
We want to prevent unauthorized download of data to excel sheets from users who have installed bex analyzer but are not authorized to do that. Certain users only have to access querys from web and shouldn't have to use reports from bex analyzer.
The only accepted way to access reports for all users is by using web querys published in our intranet. But many users have bex analyzer installed and we don't want that an unauthorized user download data to a excel sheet via bex analyzer.
I'm testing with one user with this roles, but bex web template and bex analyzer have similiar object authorizations, and i don't know if is possible prevent unauthorized download of data from excel sheets.

The advantages and disadvantages are primarily based on the light weight client and heavy client.
Excel -
1. It is heavy weight and needs a client installation
2. Analysis is easier , as excel functionalities can be used over BI data
3. People who know excel will like this
Web-
1. It is light weight and no installation needed at the client as browser will be available
2. Can not analyze the data from the report ( you need copy to excel)
In simple analysts and expert users like excel.
Users who just view the report and no more analysis will be happy with web.

InfoObject is language dependent.
Ex: For material it should display description in Spanish and English at a time.
Am only able to display one at a time.

As Kodandapani mentioned it’s not possible to display both languages same
time as its mapping to same T table where LANGU is part of key.
I recommend you to create an attribute or maintain another table for other
language to display at a time.

BEx Analyzer not run in office 2007

We are using BI version 7.0 in BEX gui (frond end pc) windows vista and office 2007 is used when I go to business explorer and run Analyzer then its call excel but not open any file or sheet, then in excel I go to excel Add-ins menu -

Hi,
Check your support package and patch level of your BEx Suite. BI 7.10 Support Package 6 Patch 1 works fine with Excel 2007.
You might also want to check your installation using the file "sapbexc.xla" on your hard drive. You should find it in C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\Bw or similar, although i'm not quite sure this works with BI 7...
