Remove the ipod device from the account

remove the ipod device from the account

Is it an old account of yours, or did you buy the device from another person ? If you bought the device from somebody else and it's linked to the previous owner's account then you will need to contact the previous owner, he/she is the only person who can remove it : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515
If it's your account and you can't remember your id (you can't remember an account id that you've had starting with a gmail.com email address, starting with 'e', as its primary email address ?) and/or password then have you tried the http://iforgot.apple.com link ?
Or if you can't get the password reset via that link then you can try contacting Support in your country : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699

  • How can I restore a document/file to my iPad from the iCloud backup without restoring the whole device from the iCloud backup?

My iPad has a number of documents, including pdf, xls, doc, ppt files.  Some are associated with Documents to Go - Premium, which froze on the device attempting to download an update and had to be deleted (which also deleted the files that only were on the iPad and associated witht the app).  How do I restore only that app and/or the related files from the iCloud.  Ans I've found so far were not clear/specific enough or seemed to indicate the entire iPad had to be restored.  iOS 5.1.1

  • Lost my music in iTunes. . .but not on the iPod or from the HDD

Recently, I installed a separate physical HDD into my PC which will be dedicated to my iTunes/iPod content. When I did this I navigated within iTunes to Edit/Preferences/<Advanced> tab/"iTunes Music Folder location" and changed the path to the new volume that I had for the dedicated HDD (F:/iTunes/iTunes Music). After a week or so of this seemingly working properly, I then felt safe to delete the iTunes Music folder that I had on my C:/ drive within My Documents/My Music/iTunes.
Today, when I launched iTunes, all the music that I had ripped from my Cd collection plus the few downloads that I purchased were gone from my music library within the application and I got the following message. . .
The iPod is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPod and sync with this iTunes library?
An iPod can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and synching replaces the contents of this iPod with the contents of this iTunes library.
The good news is that all of my data is still on the iPod and the physical HDD. When I got this message and selected <Transfer Purchases> I got back into the application's Music Library the 5 or so songs that I have bought from iTunes. I still do not have the 700 or so songs that I ripped from my CD's in the application Music Library however and I am still getting this message along with an option to "Erase and Sync", which sounds like something thatI do not want to do. The iPod is now intact and disconnected from my PC.
The iTunes folder on my C: drive still has an <iTunes Music Library.xml> file along with an <iTunes Library.itl> file. Could this be causing the confusion?
Also within Edit/Preferences/<Advanced> tab/"iTunes Music Folder location", the options for <Keep iTunes Music Folder organized> and <Copy Files to iTunes Music Folder When Adding To Library> are both unchecked. Things were working fine I guess with it that way but it sounds to me that I should have those checked?
I need some advice it seems. Does anyone know what the heck is happening here?

An iPod does not show in finder.

  • Were do i find the ipod device using the find my ipod device ond icoud? it is turned on

lost ipod how do i find it using the find your ipod app in icloud?

Go to htp://www.icloud.com/ log in and click the big Find my Phone icon.
For the iPod to have any chance at being locatable, it will need to powered on, and have an internet connection. As the iPod does not have GPS, the location will only be a general one based on the known location of nearby WiFi networks.

  • How can I remove a Input device from my Mac?

Hello, I would like to know how I can remove a input device from the Sound area in System Preferences. I installed Wiretap Anywhere a sound input program for my Mac and did not realize It was not supported for Moutain Lion. I put the application in the trash and then emptied the trash can. Now whenever I try to start GarageBand or a program like that it crashes my computer. In the Input tab of Sound (System Preferences) It is listed as Wiretap: System Audio.
I would like to remove this from the Input tab so I can use my Mac reguarly. Any Ideas on how to fix it?
    Thanks,
    Justin

Any third-party software that doesn't install by drag-and-drop into the Applications folder, and uninstall by drag-and-drop to the Trash, is a system modification.
Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job.
Here are some general guidelines. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickYourMac.” First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickyourmac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the Web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, contact the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickYourMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickYourMac.” If not, open “BrickYourMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
You may have to log out or reboot in order to complete an uninstallation.
If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase your boot volume and perform a clean reinstallation of OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" that purport to remove software.

The person who sold you the device can remove the ID without giving it to you. Follow the steos in "What to do if you no longer have the device." In the artcle below. If you can't find the person or they won't do it you're stuck with a unusable device.

    <Serial Number Edited By Host>

If you enabled Find my iPhone then you should use that. If not, I'm afraid you're out of luck for finding it.
To manage your devices, go to Your Account in iTunes.

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required.

You need to return the Device for a refund, as you will not be able to re-activate it.

  • The device is not with me. remove device from icloud account will enable new user to retrieve my data

If you remove it from your account all of the data that is in the account will be removed from the iPad.

There is no way for anyone on this forum to assist you.  Apple will also not assist you.  If you purchased the device thru ebay, file a claim.  If you purchased it some other way, I'm sorry.  there is nothing anyone can do to help you.

  • I need to remove the first device on my account from at many years ago. How? Device long gone.

I've had my account for many years and didn't know anything about deauthorizing devices back then. I've maxed out my number of devices at five and can't add anymore. I know the first device is long gone in a recycling bin some many years ago (or not, this was before recycling ewaste). The second device in my account is defunct, too.
How do I delete those two so I can add my "new" iPad?
    help?

    About authorization and deauthorization
Read the above link and follow the instructions to deauthorize all, then authorize the computers you actually have.
Note, only computers are authorized.  iDevices are not relevant to the number of computers authorized for an account.

  • When one or more family members who have been sharing one iTunes account wants to create their own iTunes account can they each upload the music/apps from the shared iTunes on their devices to the new iTunes account?

When one or more family members who have been sharing one iTunes account wants to create their own iTunes account can they each upload the music/apps from the shared iTunes on their devices to the new iTunes account?

Yes. I would clarify your statement about the "shared" iTunes Library though. If you want each iOS device to have its own music library, you should create separate user accounts for them. Read:
iTunes: How to share music between different accounts on a single computer
How to use multiple iPods, iPads, or iPhones with one computer
