Remove timestamp on iMessage

How do I remove the timestamp on iMessage for iOS 8? For iOS 7 I was able to delete a text message and it would bring the text message down on my list to the last date of the last message. On this newer version, I delete a text message but that contact stays at the top of my list with the most recent date of the last text message. Any feedback would be great.

I have a Dutch provider. Went to the USA and bought a US SIM card for my stay in the USA. I used Imessage and FaceTime there. When I came back to The Netherlands I removed the US SIM card and inserted the SIM card from my Dutch provider. I than turned-on my iPhone and ONLY the US number keeps coming up as the one and only number. I called Apple, talked with Apple but nobody seems to have to solution. Basic question is, how do I OR how does Apple removes my US number. Please note that I tried every solution known on the internet, but this seems to be a nut even Apple cannot crack.

Can we remove timestamp which is added infront of the file name of datafile which was imported succesfully , in archive folder, i have a requriment to move file from archive folder to another folder, but programmer is finding diffficulty in moving the file which has time stamp, he can move file with date stamp, but not able to move file which has time stamp, is there is any option in MDIS.Ini file or anywhere in import manager or console to modify the file names , or remove timestamp when file is moved in archive folder.

Moving file from Ready directory to Archive directory is MDM internal process and I strongly feel it is not possible to control the naming convention of File to be placed in Archive directory.
But you can explain what problem you developer is facing while moving file from Archive directory to some other directory..then we can think about solution to acheive this. Also on which operating system you MDM server is installed.

It's so annoying you can't remove yourself from iMessage groups, is this something you will ever allow?

A date column, with timestamp..how to remove timestamp

I have a table name CATCH, with one of its fieldnamed DATE, using DATE datatype.
The date format incudes timestamp,can anyone help me how to remove the timestamp part.
I only want the date part only. I have tried this:
Update CATCH set DATE=to_char(date,'DD-MON-YYYY');
but the result of all the date inside the table still having timestamp.
then i use this:
Update CATCH set DATE=to_date(date,'DD-MON-YYYY');
and the result still the same.
Can anyone advice on this? pls.

If you don't want to show the time for a date (display purposes only!), use TO_CHAR to "transform" the DATE to a string with the appropriate format mask

Is it possible to remove Timestamp on video that I imported?

I'm currently using iMovie 08 and have imported video. Unfortunately, there is a timestamp on all of the video that makes it unattractive to look at. I'm looking for ideas on how to remove the timestamp from the video. What other software will work if this isn't possible in iMovie 08? Thank you.

I'm a little confused..your profile says home made windows, yet you're working with iMovie?
Anyway, if you can get a Mac to read your discs, try Streamclip to extract the video TS file. That also is dependent of whether the format of that camera creates a video ts file on disc.

Remove email from imessage

I need help with a recurring problem. I have a user that likes to forward his important text message to his work email. For some reason the email becomes associated with iMessage and when that happens when he tries to send text messages to email it goes right back into Message. I have gone into messages\send&receive and remove that email address, which didn't work. I logged into his iTunes account and can't find that email address anywhere within iTunes. I Also removed all text message that was associated to his email address, check his contacts, and even removed all email address related to his email address in Recent which still didn't fix the problem. My work around was to create a new email address for him to use so he can continue forwarding his text messages to email. I just don't want to keep creating new email address every time this happens. I'm hoping some else has had this problem that could help me out....I would GREATLY appreciate it.

I am trying to remove my number from iMessage. Tried to sign out and sign back in to my apple Id but my number is always checked and trying to click on it to remove the check but the check mark remains there. Can you help me remove my mobile number from my iMessage to work?

How do I remove an old phone number from my macbook imessage. My apple ID does not show the number anymore but I cannot remove it from the imessage accounts. Its driving me mad !

Can someone please help me to remove an iphone telephone number from my imessage application. I no longer have a phone which I registered on my apple ID as a second phone. I have been on my apple ID and it does not seem to be there but cannot remove it from imessage, which still has it as an option to connect to. I am concerned that someone else who inherite this old phone will see my messages if I accidentally enable it again. I have read and re-read various postings and tried all options given but no luck, the **** thing stays there.....

How can I remove an old phone number from iMessage

I have an old iphone 3GS that has been upgraded to IOS5 and I am letting my son use. He is loving the iMessage, however there is one problem - the phone number that used to be associated with that 3GS is still associated with the iMessage settings and so whenever I iMessage my wife at that phone number (or anyone else for that matter), he also gets the message.
I have added in his email in the "You can be reached for messages at:" settings option, but I cannot delete the phone number. Any idea how I can get the phone number removed from the iMessage settings? I want him to be able to send / receive iMessages via his email address - not the phone number that belongs to my wife.
I did try removing the sim from the phone, but that didn't work.

Simply reset your Apple ID password by going to iforgot.apple.com
This will reset your iMesasge too.
I've tried all other methods and this is the only way that works.

Lost phone, trying to iMessage from phone number on Mac

So I lost my phone the other day and its off (I'm assuming it got ran over I think I dropped it out of my car) and I want to imessage from my verizon number from my computer until I can get a new phone... But my icloud email won't connect my phone number to imessage on my computer... Is there any way to do this without the use of my phone? I used to be able to but it seems that when my phone is off I can't use my number. (Using verizon)

It is better that you set this up with the Phone.
In Mountain Lion however the item in Messages > Preferences > Accounts > iMessages accounts that says "Add email" could be used to add iPhone numbers.
I have never tried this but it was reported widely at the time Messages started as a "new" app.
Having said that.
A device that is off from several days will tend to be "removed" from the iMessages list of an active item.
i.e. just turning Off Messages on the iPhone for about three days will "remove" it's Registration from the iMessages server.
If you turn it on again it will show "Waiting for verification" for some time.
i.e. you may not be able to use the iPhone number.

Yep standard procedure.
Deactivate either the iMessages settings or the iPhone as a whole and the number will be eventually removed from the iMessages server.
The phone I've been using as well has only been sending iMessage texts from my email accounts, not my cell number. I'm not receiving texts from people either unless they send them to my email. I have both devices updated to the latest software as well.
As has been mentioned above we now are told of an active iPhone.
If the iPhone Number has become removed as iMessages on that iPhone was Off for a long period then your Apple ID may be the only contact details that are valid at the moment.
If you then send iMessages they will be From your Apple ID and people will reply to the Apple ID.
Even if you remove that conversation they may still list it an use it to start an "new" conversation with you which will still be with or to your Apple ID.
I see nothing that is wrong with the way things are working based on what you have posted.

How to make same binaries using mxmlc, without timestamp?

It seems like mxmlc generates different binary even when the source code is not changed.
for, example,
// Test.as
package
public class Test { }
and when i run mxmlc like this :
mxmlc Test.as -output case1.swf
mxmlc Test.as -output case2.swf
and case1.swf and case2.swf is different!
I found that mxmlc sets metadata and some timestamp in .swf file,
I could get the same binary by "unpacking" .swf, removing timestamp, and manually re-pack it.

But it'll be happier when there is a special switch which generates same binary data ( That means, if mxmlc removes all timestamp and metadata which generated in compile time ) !
