Remove Visa from my account
I have recently experienced a hijacking on my account. All is fine now, but I have this Visa attached to my account by the hijacker that won't go away. They made a purchase to get "Peggle," most likely using a messed up card as it is wanting me to input the card's credentials because of a failed purchase. If anyone can help me remove this without adding a different card to it, that would be great. Thanks!

My wife and I share the same Mac OS 10.6.8 and since downloading Skype on her accout she came not asty connected to any web site for more than a few seconds. I have remove Skype from her account but not mine. I don't have the problem on my accout and I still have Skype loaded. How can I fix this problem?
O.k. Thanks for the clarification. I poked around in my TimeCapsule router's settings (TimeCapsule is an Apple Airport Extreme router with attached hard drive for wireless backup/storage). Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I can disable multicasting with the TimeCapsule. I can change the multicasting 'rate'. Settings are Low, Medium, High. It's currently set to Low.
I did a few web searches, and found an Apple.com article: <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3789?viewlocale=en_US> which explained how to disable Bonjour Service Advertisements. I believe this is the same thing as 'Multicasting'. The process is a modification of "/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mDNSResponder.plist", and a restart of the Mac is required afterwards.
I'm a bit concerned that disabling multicasting will interfere with my AppleTVs and iTunes music sharing, but I may try it next time I'm up for a computer workout. This task will require editing of system preference files, could require multiple restarts, might interfere with my AppleTVs, could interfere with my iTunes file sharing, doesn't have a documented relationship to my problem.
This is way to difficult for something that should just work. Did you say you had read something about a relationship between this bonjour multicasting and smb connectivity? If it was online could you post the link?
I'm currently able to connect to the drive using NFS, but I have to manually configure that connection each time I reboot (can't get the 'Disk Utility' configured to do it automatically). While it's working with NFS, it's not my preferred connect method (for various reasons). -

Or remove you from his, it's moot because You and He are the same account, either get him his own (they are free) or live with this cozy but privacy compromised method. -

In order to take the credit card off of the account, you will need to open the iTunes program on your computer, pick the option for store from the left, and then pick account from the right under quick links. In the account you should be able to change credit card type to 'none' and/or add a gift card.
If you are doing this from iphone, ipad, or ipod touch, it will be under settings > store
if you continue having problems, you can contact itunes directly by filling out the form below. they will follow up via email to make sure your account issue is resolved

The "none" option is nowhere to be found, and I can't remove my card. I don't really want to create a new account.
You'll have to pardon my ignorance of some computer terminology; I'm a retired manager and not a computer technician, hence my muddling up of client and server terminology.
Re your comment about Port 339: I did qualify this with (?). As I wrote, it all happened at lightining speed and the guy at the Genius Bar didn't bother explaining what he was doing. Port designation contained 3s and 9s to the best of my recollection.
That said, you seem to be spot on re setting up a 'dummy' client in Mail. I set it up as you suggested and I can send to and receive from this client without a problem. You appear to have identified the solution, notwithstanding the claims of the ISP's 'experts'.
The next problem I have now is sorting out my wife's mailbox that is so troublesome whenever I set it up on Mail.
All the other set-up advice to date yielded a similar result; inability to send from my account to her inbox. Perhaps deleting her details from the account altogether and setting them up again from scratch may be the solution and I shall try that in due course. The impediment that I have with this at the moment is that my ISP admits that it has 'a technical problem with its email servers' and some of its related web pages that prevent my doing this myself. I will have to go through the telephone 'help' line and ask the technician to set it up at their end on my instructions. This has some disadvantages in that I have to divulge the password to the account to the operator rather than keeping it anonymous by doing it on-line. You may have solved the problem, but until I can successfully sort out a working mailbox for my wife i cannot definitively say so.

Not sure what you are asking - what did you download and what do you want to remove ? If you purchased something that you didn't mean to then all purchases are considered final, but you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

Steps to be done to remove the device from the previous owner's iCloud Account, if you have already done this things then there might be something that you might have missed due to which the iPhone is still showing the Find My iPhone Activation Lock screen.
